It's a BIG SHOCKER that GSP couldn't finish someone again and apologizes afterward. Just like Dana White said Greg Jackson doesn't train fighters to go for the finish, he trains them to go to the judges scorecards. GSP has finished people in the past and has tried to finish people recently, if he didn't try to finish like Evans does I would understand. But I guess unless guys stand toe to toe and bang and someone get KO'ed than it's a boring fight, go watch K-1.I'm not saying it was boring (and a finish doesn't mean a K.O., there are submissions) but GSP said he was going to finish Koscheck and did he no. It was a one sided fight but Kos only had one eye to see out of after the first round and all GSP did was mainly jab all fight. I like GSP don't get me wrong but if you look at his last couple fights all he does is apologize for not finishing just like Anderson Silva.

Who really cares if GSP or Fitch or guys like that never finish fighters. It's not all about big KO's and sneaky submissions.
What's more boring to me is watching a stand up fight where one or both fighters are afraid to throw punches. Too many fighters rely on KO bombs, and once they land one good shot that rocks an opponent, they get tunnel vision and start loading up for bombs. Either those guys win the fight with a bomb, or they lose because the only offensive they do is throw bombs and lose focus of everything else. From what I read about the fight play by play, GSP just used boxing 101 basics. Jab jab jab jab jab. Sometimes the simplest trick in the book is the best, and tonight it seemed to work.
Now put yourself in the shoes of lets say BJ Penn. Would you rather get caught and KO'd, caught in a submission, or have your ass kicked for 25 minutes? Now take that into consideration the mental breakdown that has on the fighter. Yeah, you can really F somebody up with a KO or a sub, but to have your ass handed to you for 25 minutes is embarrassing. Some guys don't go for the finish, because they don't need to. If you can dominate a guy for 25 minutes without a problem, I say do it.
I don't know, just something that annoys me. There are just as many lackluster stand up fights as there are ground fights.
I think there needs to be some sort of stalling penalty, on both sides, in stand up or on the ground, just like in wrestling.

What an awesome show. Loved every fight on the card. Alves looked great. Miller's submission was nuts. Danzig's KO was crazy too. Great to see Struve still going strong. And GSP... All I can say is... BJ Penn has been my favorite fighter since day 1 practically. But GSP is really starting to push for that title. Good to see KOS finally humbled maybe. I couldn't have been the only one who marked out when Koscheck went for his signature "AH! MY EYE and/or NUTS!" routine, and Georges waved his finger in front of his face, told him no, and kept on pushing the fight?

This fight card was incredible, one of the better ones I've seen from the UFC all year.
GSP is just too good, he's probably the most well rounded fighter ever and exploits weaknesses from his opponents any way he wants to. I can't not imagine him doing the same to Shields and I think Shields is a fantastic fighter. Hurry up and pack on the weight so we can have GSP/Silva.
Jim Miller is awesome, sick sub. And I hate Joe Daddy so seeing Danzig knock him out was sweet too. Overall very good night of fights.

Kos wins in the 2nd or 3rd via ground and pound. LOL. Boy oh boy, were you wrong or what?? ;D There was definitely some pounding for sure because Koscheck's face looked like ing hamburger after it was all said and done. I think your boy needs to go back to camp and learn a bit more because he got ing outclassed tonight. Domination by GSP, exactly like I said. It wasn't close last time and it certainly wasn't close this time. It was actually MUCH worse this time because there were two extra rounds that GSP pounded Koscheck's face than the last time. GSP is on a much different level than Koscheck. Just a much, much better fighter and tonight proved it. GSP is still the man!! I loved it.

Cain is in serious trouble in this fight. Brock WILL win. No question about that. Personally, I don't think Cain has a ing prayer, but that's just my opinion. I could be dead wrong, but I doubt it. Once Brock gets Cain down and he WILL, I don't see Cain getting back up. Either standing or on the ground, Brock will KO Cain. Bet on it. He's certainly not the first on these boards to make a God awful prediction, be 100% wrong, and look completely stupid in the process. ;D ;D

^ Yeah, yeah. I even said I could be dead wrong. And I was. No question about it. I made another very bad call, just like this guy.
Anyone who either bet on Koscheck or even thought he was going to win, much less in the 2nd or 3rd by ground and pound, clearly wasn't thinking because at no point during that 25 minute battle was that even close to happening.
Straight up domination by GSP once again.

I don't have a problem with anyone voicing their opinion, its just annoying when you say Forrest is going to KO Silva than talk crapto a guy about picking KOS(his team mate BTW) to win against GSP especially when you keep saying how nothing in MMA is a for sure thing but you say there is no way for Cain to beat Lesnar or for Toney to beat Couture or KOS to beat GSP. BTW Silva Vs. Forrest and Cain Vs. Lesnar where way more One sided than GSP Vs. KOS. I'm just voicing my opinion.
