Sucks dude but you don't have multiple saves? I always keep 2 and the last autosave but before I end my time gaming I delete the autosave. Anyways yes you can get 4 other housecarls and they are from: Solitude, Markarth, Windhelm, and Riften. There are 2 remaining males and 2 remaining females for you dude. RIP to your Lydia. Word of advice to people who want to have their companions last longer I would try to buy the spell 'Healing Hands' because then you can heal your partners. I use it a lot. Where can I get that spell? I think you have to get your restoration skill up to a certain level [mine was probably high 30s-early 40's] because it is an Apprentice spell. I think I bought my spell from the Jarl's mage guy in Windhelm. He sold a lot of new Apprentice level spells in Destruction/Conjuration/Restoration to me at the time [but I think any person selling spells would have had his selection] so check any Jarl's mage person to see what you can get. Healing Hands really is great though it heals 10 health a second [15 if you have a perk like I do that increases healing by 50%] to any non undead/atronach/machine character. The only annoying thing is stupid Lydia always says, "A healing spell! Are you a priest?" Umm no I'm not I am just trying to keep your dumb ass from dying because you apparently can't/won't use the healing potions I gave you!

Wait, you can have 47 followers? . That's outrageous (but in a good way). What's the saving like in this game? I always liked how you can have separate saves for your different characters in Dragon Age Origins. Is it like that game, or is it like Fallout 3/NV? You can have up to 47 different followers but you may only have 1 of them with you at a time. So I can't have Lydia and the other 4 housecarls follow me; I have to choose which one I want to follow me; if any at all. As for saving I don't really know about two different characters because I plan to only have one character file save for a while but I don't think it restricts a person to one created character save per game.
You just have to be careful not to save over Character A with Character B's file because then Character A goes bye-bye.
The saves should say your character's name and time played or something so it should be easy enough to determine which is which.

I love the Unrelenting Force shout. Just killed a giant with it, after I maneuvered him with his back to the edge of a mountain. Sent him flying, and picked off the other giant with arrows.
My Redguard warrior is now lvl 20 and I've killed 7 dragons. Been playing around with dual casting spells, and am thinking about going to Winterhold after I hunt down a dragon near Markarth. I found and activated the Lover Stone, so all my skills increase 15% faster, so I think I can be pretty formidable switching between magic and weapons, or even using both at the same time.

I'm looking for that can you tell me where it is exactly like north of this point on your map, east of this point on your map, west of this point on your map, south of this point on your map because I really want to find it and can't! Also I was thinking if anyone needs help I have the guide book so I should be able to help if you need it. I was wondering what perks people have chosen so far. So if you want reveal what you have picked so far. I'll type mine out later when I get back home.

It's east-northeast of Markarth, on the side of a mountain waterfall area above the Kolskegger Mine. Follow the road east from Markarth, and once you discover the mine, look for areas to climb up.
Since LSU is killing Ole Miss early (GEAUX TIGERS), I can jump back on the game and head to Dragontooth Crater, which is a little northeast of the Lover Stone.

I've put about 35 hours in and I've still only done the 7000 steps quest as far as main story goes.

Just spent 25k just to marry the hottest (IMO) NPC in the game, Jordis the Sword-Maiden. My wife was mad. . . haha.
At level 21 now, 1hand is at level 52, 2hand is @ level 51. I got the decapitation perk with 2-hand.

If I stole everything from the vacant Arch-Mage Quarters would I feel the mighty hammer of Winterhold?

I need to get back into this game. I've been side tracked by Saints Row 3 lately.

I'm gonna have to go to rehab. I've put in 41 hours on the game so far (since bringing in home Monday evening), and have barely touched the main storyline.

OMG I don't know what the hell was wrong but I popped my Xbox 360 on the top and my game came out. Apparently that fixed the 3 red rings I had or something because it is good as new [for now; it's still on probation..] but to say the least I am so ing happy. Thanks Jesus.

Beast fight!!! I'm near Riverside Shack on my way to the Mzulft ruins, and I spot a giant leading two mammoths. I start to sneak up on them, but before I can start a fight I spot a blood dragon swooping down. He comes after me first, then turns his attention towards my prey. Pretty cool stuff, as the works over the giant from the air, then lands to fight it out with the mammoths. They actually damage him a bit, while I connect with arrows from a distance. Once he's low enough on health, I come in for the kill shot: full-scale Unrelenting Force to lower his head a bit, then 2 swings of an Elven greatsword. The mammoths and giant just walk away, not even worried about me. I love this game.

I can't for the life of me kill a giant. It is even worse with Lydia because I have to worry about her dying which I WILL NOT let happen.. So yeah I tried yesterday but he killed my girl so I had to load back to when I was thinking of taking him.. Anyways I got to Markarth or the hold that is the most west of Skyrim. I found the Lover's Stone and fought many hard people along the journey west. I will try to play after Raw but I also need to watch Bridesmaids or the library will charge me!

I either get to some high ground that the giant can't climb up and stick him with arrows or fireballs, or (my favorite) hit him a few times from a distance and then position him where he could fall downhill and blast him with full blown Unrelenting Force to send him flying. If the impact doesn't kill him, you've still got time and some space to set him up again.

^ Yeah I should try that but first I would have to have Lydia stay somewhere so she can't die.

killed my first giant last night. I was level 21, had Mekko & Benor w/ me, and still had to use my war cry (I am a Nord and this is my special power) to gain an extra 30 seconds to regenerate health to finish him.

lmfao. has anyone been able/is it even possible to save the man whose getting executed when you arrive at solitude for the first time? I felt bad for the dude so I stepped upon the stage ready to make my first move and BAM the whole of Solitude is on my ass. it was absolutely insane/hilarious/scary. I tried to fight them off several times but in the end I had to load up my save from a bit earlier in the game. Literally like 10 guards chasing me around everywhere.
ah well. Just done the 'infiltrate the Thalmor party mission'. Amazing stuff. Although what began as a plan to go Solid Snake on everyone's ass soon turned into several of the least subtle battles I've had in the game.
