The Sheriff unloaded at the press conference.
Basically saying those on radio and TV are to blame and that Arizona is the Mecca of prejudice and bigotry.

I would love to know the political alignment of every single assassin or shooter in the history of America. Just for giggles. You're an idiot.

Guns: Still legal and everywhere. Awesome. I think it's been established that the guy did this with an illegal firearm so obviously making guns illegal wouldn't have prevented this. Oh, this goes above and beyond legality. I'm talking about outlawing the things altogether.

No one can ban guns, even if the entire country agreed on it, it's still unconstitutional.

See what I said about the anti-gun propaganda?
It only takes one incident for people to start acting like this is because guns are legal. LoL.

No one can ban guns, even if the entire country agreed on it, it's still unconstitutional. The country does plenty of things that are unconstitutional. It's extremely frustrating.

I'm talking about outlawing the things altogether. But it wouldn't stop things like this from happening. The guy who did this committed a crime and he used an illegal weapon to do it. If you waved a magic wand and made all guns everywhere illegal it wouldn't have stopped this guy. He obviously had no qualms about purchasing an illegal gun.

No one can ban guns, even if the entire country agreed on it, it's still unconstitutional. Y'know who agrees? Gabby Giffords. That's tragic irony #2 for the day.

Look at Mexico if you want to see a corrupted, drug-filled country where guns are illegal. Good job, Mexico...

Baseless accusations are awesome! If you weren't trying to hint that every shooter in history was a Republican, then I retract what I said. It seemed that way to me though.

People are insane. They are saying isn't it odd that today is January 8, 2011. 1/8/11. 1 + 8 = 9. 9/11. These people are, no pun intended, dead serious. The 9-year-old girl that was killed was born on 9/11/2001. You've all been mind-fudged.

The constitution, if used correctly, is there to protect the rights of people. For something that was written two centuries ago, it pretty well translates into today -- certainly better than most other similar documents. Always keep in mind that the constitution is not there to guarantee people THINGS or express the government's power. It's there to guarantee people personal liberty from the government. While guns are a hot-button issue today and have been for quite awhile, understand that the founding fathers made the constitution include the right to own guns as a way, again, to protect us from our own government. Looking at history, nearly every time that a powerful society has collapsed it has been because of too much government (kingdom / whatever) control. Thomas Jefferson himself warned against the government and its eventual desire to infringe upon the rights of free people. "A Bill of Rights is what the people are entitled to against every government, and what no just government should refuse, or rest on inference." - Thomas Jefferson He also warned against the government tyranny and their usage of propaganda to scare us into submission against our better judgment. "All tyranny needs to gain a foothold is for people of good conscience to remain silent." - Thomas Jefferson Do I like guns? No. Do I want people to get shot? No. Do I own a gun myself, or have a desire to own one? No. But it is my duty to understand that the overwhelming majority of people who own guns are not using them against other humans. To ban them on the premise that some bad people could own them is absolutely absurd when you consider the fact that most of these people do not LEGALLY own their guns in the first place.

I wish I was a baller. I wish I had a girl who looked good, I would call her.
