Does anyone have a picture of Pierre's face after the fight?

Just got home from the event. It was awesome. We were up high, but had a nice, clear view of everything. The crowd was incredible. Nothing can beat an experience like that. You had to be there. I feel bad for Randy, but hey, those things happen. Another dominant performance from GSP like I said and what kind of performance was that from Jake Shields?? That was pretty pathetic. From what I saw, basically every shot he landed on GSP looked like "taps", almost like he was in a sparring match or somethin'. He should NEVER fight for the belt again after such a disappointing performance like that. It was like he didn't have the killer instinct at all. I think if it were Martin Kampmann in that spot, he would've put up a better fight than Shields did. He certainly would've made it more interesting, that's for sure!! I mean, if you had a 6-year unbeaten streak on the line like Shields did, I would hope you would've put up more of a fight than Shields did to keep that record in tact...I'm sorry, but that was a LOUSY performance from Jake Shields. And Mark Hominick was a warrior. Man, that lump on his head was ing disgusting. Wow...We couldn't believe the size of that thing!! He had a mis-shaped head after it was all said and done. Awesome performances from "The Janitor", Jason "The Athlete" and "The Waterboy" Rory MacDonald. Man, just the way he was throwing Diaz around like a rag-doll was incredible and the crowd was going ballistic for each HUGE slam!! It was awesome!! And the spinning-backfist from Makdessi was brutal. Kyle Waston was flat out-cold for a very long time inside The Octagon. Longer than anyone I can recall off-hand, but they did eventually get him up and he got to his feet. Overall, it was an incredible experience. I can't wait for the next one!!

Dude, don't just diss Jake. Mr. St. Pierre was anything but electrifying. I understand his vision was blurred, but his performance was exactly the same as it was in the Koscheck fight. It's become the same song and dance for Georges. Coast to a decision without attempting a finish, then apologize for not finishing the fight. I don't know about you, but I'm over it. I'm not a hater, either. His dodge of the Spider fight, again, made the entire room let out a collective, "PFF, just say you don't want to fight him, dude." Randy's my boy, but in all honesty I am not disappointed at all. Dude went out like a warrior. He didn't look horrible at all, and I'm glad to see him close the curtain. I never wanted him to take this fight, I wanted him to be done after the Toney fight, but hey, he made his decision and he's happy. That's what counts. WAR Couture. Hominick vs. Aldo was the sh*t, excellent fight. AND EVERYONE SHOULD KNOW, it's been reported that the 50-43 card was read incorrectly, and the judge actually scored it 48-45. This comes from Franklin McNeil's Twitter.

Event was amazing. A guy in the section beside us passed out because of Hominick's bump. Amazing prelims and great main card as well. Really disappointed GSP couldn't finish Shields, place would've erupted.

For those who were there live...
In all honesty, how bad do you think it would have been if Shields won a horrible Machida/Shogun I type decision or by a crap doctor stoppage over GSP's eye? Or just any really screwy/controversial decision?
I knew there was no way in hell it would happen, but my friend and I were just discussing the "what if's" and I sincerely wonder if there would have been a riot. LOL
People who were there live could probably give a better opinion.

Jake Shields did not know that GSP couldn't see out his left eye. I'm not going to blame him for not going hell for leather over that.
However, for such a decorated grappler i was really disappointed he didn't kamakazie himself onto GSP and find some way to take him down. 48-47 by two judges was a fair score IMO. 50-45 was not.

I scored it 49-46 for GSP, but yeah, I don't know WTF Shields' gameplan was. If that was it, wow.

What made it so gross was that you could SEE the thing grow immediately after the elbow.

I fail to see how Shields won a single round. perhaps i need to rewatch, since by the time of gsp and shields i had a little buzz going... but i gave the 5th round to shields, and i thought the 3rd round was a toss up that i led toward gsp. 49-46 gsp.

I don't give a single round to Jake Shields at all. Considering he had such a long winning streak you'd think he'd try harder? I don't know maybe he had a questionable game plan but he should of been shooting and trying to get it to the ground ASAP.
GSP looked rather panicked about his eye from my point of view, seriously. After watching him trade blows with Sheilds, if he does fight Anderson, he's going to have to take it to the ground.
I actually didn't mind the fight, just my thoughts on it is all.

And Hominick showed one of the greatest displays of heart I've ever seen. I really thought Aldo was going to tear right through him coming into this fight.

Couple of interesting things.
When Aldo saw the hemorage on Hominicks head he said "holy shit" and never tried hitting him again their.
Shields saying after round 2 to Milendez "Should I pull guard yet?" He wanted to pull guard on GSP to triangle him. He had no real positive gameplan except to pull guard.

I was slightly disappointed in the main event and Shield's gameplan (or lack of one)... I thought he'd go for takedowns and try and get St Pierre on the ground - or do "something" different. St Pierre looked great until the eye injury... he did (understandably) seem a bit panicked by it though and fought more carefully afterwards. I still had it a shut out at 50-45.
Man, Mark Hominick is a warrior... to hang in there and then dominate the final round like that was incredible... especially as he was beginning to resemble the Elephant Man(!). Mad props.
And as a Nate Diaz fan... damn. Those suplexes from MacDonald were impressive.

I am pretty much over GSP. I think he is an amazing athlete but he has looked less and less impressive each fight since Serra KO'd him. I think it is amazing how he has cleaned out his division..but I was extremely disappointed in his performance.
