Both QBs suck. Washington might have the worst team in the NFL. And Joe Theismann is on crack. Their training camp was AWFUL. I do like how Theismann said that he saw a Pro Bowl QB in Beck or something along those lines. Theismann is an asshat.

I think Eli is heavily underrated and will only continue to improve, but him saying he is on Tom Brady's level is complete stupidity.

I think Eli is heavily underrated and will only continue to improve, but him saying he is on Tom Brady's level is complete stupidity. I 100% agree. He's only putting more pressure on himself. The quote was in context of Eli talking about his 25 interceptions and how he wants to get better. He considers himself in the class of Tom Brady because he wants to get better every year. Eli is stupid to say it because people will take it and run with it out of context.

It's still a dumb thing to say. Everyone wants to get better every year, so why just compare it to Tom Brady? Obviously it'll get taken out of context.

Yea it really is, especially when your brother is the only other QB who has any business saying it.
I'd put Brady, Peyton, Big Ben, Rodgers, Brees, Rivers all ahead of Eli without a doubt. There certainly are more, but it's probably a messy debate and this season will answer those questions.

If Eli can keep his TD number the same (or close to it) and shave off like 10-15 INTs he would easily be top 10 no doubt.

How about some predictions, for a nice change of pace from the NY related arguments..
MVP - Phillip Rivers: Most forget how amazing Rivers was last year because the team failed to make the playoffs. I think San Diego finally get their craptogether and finish top 3 in the AFC. V-Jax's return will be huge.
Offensive Player of the Year - Phillip Rivers: I'm not a fan of it, but QB's who win the MVP usually win this award as well.
Defensive Player of the Year - Nnamdi Asomugha: The best CB in the NFL (imo) finally gets some recognition for it.
Coach of the Year - Gary Kubiak: I'll bite the bullet and predict the Texans make the playoffs.
Comeback Player of the Year - Matthew Stafford : If he can stay healthy, I see Stafford having a big year.
Offensive Rookie of the Year - Julio Jones: Stud WR put in a great situation.
Defensive Rookie of the Year - JJ Watt: My favorite prospect in the draft. Hes Clay Matthews at defensive end. With Mario Williams getting all the attention Watt should rack up the sacks.

MVP: Michael Vick Offensive Player: Michael Vick Theyve made significant improvements concerning the OL in scheme (Howard Mudd) and personnel (Danny Watkins, Ryan Harris). if those improvements comes through, Vick will have a lot more time with a lot less pressure to do the things he does.
Defensive Player: Cameron Wake He had 14 sacks last year and it seemed to come against the better teams in the NFL. 3 sacks against GB, 2 sacks against BAL, and another 2 sacks against NYJ. at 29, this should be the year he hits his prime despite being in the league for only 2 years.
Coach: Andy Reid my moneys on PHI having a big year with Reid getting a ton of credit.
Comeback: Albert Haynesworth if NE runs as much 43 looks as it seems theyll be, i have no problem saying the old Haynesworth will be back to wreck havoc on every OL he faces.
Offensive Rookie: Mark Ingram seeing how prolific NO's offense already is, the things Ingram can add to it should get NO fans excited.
Defensive Rookie: Adrian Clayborn. with 2 1st RD DTs on his inside and a Nagurski Trophy winner on the opposite side, one of those guys are going to flash. my money is on Clayborn
Executive: Howie Roseman i see PHI reaping a lot of benefits as a result of this offseason

I really like Cameron Wake, but even with a great year, he'll have a hard time winning defensive MVP with a mediocre team (most likely)

After Mario Williams, hes the best pass-rusher on the team. I can see them lining him at OLB on some plays, and I think people will fall in love with his motor. And its not like we've never seen 3-4 ends put up good stats.
