Call me crazy but I would have picked up Ryan Mallett over all the QBs in this years draft. Dude is the most NFL ready out of all of them IMO. He is going to learn so much from Brady as well. While I agree he was most NFL ready AND he will learn a lot from Brady.....Mallett isnt the perfect QB. He still has poor decision making and a late release to contend with. This year's crop had A LOT of potential greatness, but no one that was ready to step in or even take over this season. Yea, Mallett is in the perfect position. Working with Brady AND Belichick? Sh*t Cant wait til we get a #1 and a bunch of other picks for him in a few years! So Shaun Ellis got 4 million and 1 in incentives, so hate all you want but if you had the chance to take 5$ mil over 990k.....everyone would chose the Patriots. Normally I would agree with you concerning Mallett, but I do think he is the heir apparent to Brady. Brady is getting up there. As far as Ellis, yesterday's reports said he was getting 1.5 over the 990K the Jets were offering. So, if the 4 millions is accurate then....of course I am fine with it. AND....you overpaid...BADLY! Worst thing is, Rex Ryan is a good coach, hes actually very good and does a great job with what he has but the sideshow and nonsense he adds to it just makes him look worse, considering all he does is talk about a team that has won 3 Super Bowls and has the best QB in the league, when he has won absolutely nothing himself. Beats being the cheating dick that Belichik is. Insert spygate drama all over again. Cue Ralpho and I going at it all season long about Jets vs. Pats.

Spygate or not, Belichick has 3 rings, and is going to the Hall of Fame.
Rex Ryan has yet to make it to the Super Bowl.
End of discussion

Spygate or not, Belichick has no rings since he got caught. ...That makes no sense. Nobody took the championship or the wins away from them.

Ahh, I misread the way you put it.... but in that case, since Im impartial in this situation, just because they havent won since they were caught, does that mean its all because of cheating? What about Cowboys and Niners. Their franchises have pretty much sucked ass since their last SB wins. Does that mean they were cheating as well and suddenly stopped? I dont think its shady at all. Patriots had great teams. They still have very good teams now. They're no different then a 70s Steelers, 80s Niners, 90s Cowboys/Bills etc. Its just a cycle.

The Cowboys coach for their dynasty run admitted to cheating shortly after Belichick was under investigation... but to answer your question, no I do not think it was entirely because of cheating. They are a great team with a great QB. But it's too hard to know how much was actually affected.

Let's be serious..spygate or not, Belichick would of had his 4th ring in 7 years if it wasn't for Eli's scramble and Tyree's catch, also..we would of lost that Superbowl if Asante didn't drop that interception.

I still say the Patriots were clearly the best team that year.

The Cowboys coach for their dynasty run admitted to cheating shortly after Belichick was under investigation... That's not exactly what happened. He said, "Everyone is doing it" and that essentially, anyone who said that they weren't prior to Spygate is a liar. I tend to believe him.

Steve Smith was in a meeting with Jerry Reese today, they'll meet up tomorrow as well and hopefully, Smith re-signs by Wednesday.

End of discussion Cant argue the 3 rings and the greatest QB to play the game. ...That makes no sense. Nobody took the championship or the wins away from them. Since they were caught cheating they haven't won a championship ring... it's a little shady. But I'd rather play for Belichick over Ryan. NOT ME! Give me Rex Ryan ANY DAY. Belichik had Brady. I'm not trying to put ALL the credit on Brady's shoulders, cuz there is no doubting the genious of Belichik, regardless of some pass indiscretions....Hello Indy.....the man is still a great coach. BUT....Brady is quite possibly the greatest QB of all time....IMO he is. What would the Jets be like if Brady was under center for them this year?

You really would take Rex Ryan over Bill Belichick?

You really would take Rex Ryan over Bill Belichick? As a player to play for? HANDS DOWN. To win a SB? Belichik gets the nod. But I dont doubt Ryan can win one or 2. But if I had to choose 1 coach to win, its Belichik. Wow. Please just stop. Ryan hasn't proved jack sh*t except that he is a loud mouth piece of sh*t. Hasnt proved jack shit? Clearly you havent been watching the past couple of seasons. This is the same Rex Ryan, son of Buddy Ryan, who took his Jets team to the AFC Championship game with a rookie QB....ALL as a rookie QB. The same Rex Ryan, who 1 year later, returned to the AFC championship game having one of the TOUGHEST roads to get there by going on the road against Indy and Peyton Manning, on the road in NE against possibly the greatest of all time in Brady and the 14 win Pats team and on the road against the juggernaught known as the Steelers. 3 games against 3 of the top 5 QBs in the league. I do believe Sanchez will have a breakout season this year. Can they return to the AFC Title game? Absolutely. Will they? Remains to be seen. He may not have 3 rings or even 1 ring....but like Andy Reid.....he deserves credit as being a hell of a coach.

He's said A LOT more than that and even commented on HOW he cheated. His credibility is trash. I really don't see why anyone would take him over BB. Once again like earlier, I'm butting out of this because this topic will be a reoccurring thing, many times over the season.

If your comparisons to Andy Reid are legit, than enjoy making countless Championship games (Like Ryan already has) and failing, I don't think you want Rex Ryans ceiling to be anything near Reids, he's a good coach..but not something you wanna use as a comparison.

Hahaha. How is his credibility trash? HE ADMITTED TO DOING IT. Doesn't that tell you something? Jesus. You know whose credibility is trash? The guys who were blatantly doing it and won't fess up for the sake of not wanting to look like "cheaters."
