Haynesworth is hurt and fat, you do not "skip" practice in New England, this isnt some do whatever you want while I pose for the cameras type camp they run in NY Anyways, I dont understand the Broncos, you are not a playoff team, play ing Tebow, or trade him. If you do not believe in him, just deal him, why ruin his trade value/not see what you have while he is sitting behind Orton and Quinn while you go 5-11 Mind boggling Dont you think maybe Orton being put at #1 on the depth chart is but a smoke screen for other teams to give up a #1? I dont think there is a doubt in Elway's mind that Tebow is the starter. But the first step is to get value from Orton. The Jets get all this heat simply b/c they are saying in public what 30 other NFL teams say in their locker rooms. I said 30. Not even Oakland believes they have a chance.

I dont care if Tebow cant touch himself in the shower without missing, he was your #1 pick, your former coach wanted to build around him, you are not going to the playoffs. PLAY HIM! Play him even to get a pick back in a trade or to see what you have.
You know what Kyle Orton does

I'm pretty sure the former coach knew Tebow was a project. Obviously the guy isn't ready. No need to throw him out to the wolves just for the heck of it.
Let Orton start until someone gives you an offer worthwhile, or just let Tebow ride the pine for a year or 2.

What does that do for him? Yes, hes not a complete player but he held his own last year and wasnt bad.

On one hand, I agree with you that I think Tebow looked at least OKAY last year. On the other hand, I have seen far too many quarterbacks come in and play on a bad team and kill their confidence by losing constantly, throwing interceptions, etc.

They have Brady Quinn, who at least has played football before, so he qualifies as a back up. They invested in him already, why not find out what you have now instead of throwing all your hopes on him in 2 years and if he sucks, then what the . He sucks now, you move on in April and draft another QB or roll with Quinn etc

Well Orton being traded would solve a lot of these problems, but as long as hes on the team, starting Tebow will only divide the locker room, and that is not the way a new HC wants to start his tenure.

The team is really trying to rebuild so I think they should go with the younger guys.
But Orton was actually alright for them last year so it's a tough call. What if they get rid of Orton and are just atrocious?

We've seen this situation many times, the project QB gets thrusted into the starting role, has a bad year throwing a high amount of interceptions, has his confidence crushed and goes on to be a journeyman QB playing backup for QBs in his SAME draft class. Leave Orton as #1, I understand that the team sucks and theres nothing to lose, but you don't want to risk Tebow's development.

"Looks like #NYG S Antrel Rolle and CB Corey Webster did some restructuring, too, according to NFLPA records."
"Webster's salary dropped from $8M this year to $5M. Rolle's from $5.25M to $1.25M. Both likely make up difference in bonuses/incentives."
Things like this make my day, really..Maybe we have the money to go give Osi his contract or sign some depth at CB/TE
Makes me wonder why Eli didn't take a pay-cut from his 100mil dollar contract to go sign his ''Best Friend'' Boss.

I agree with starting Orton. He gives them the best chance to win. I have yet to be impressed by Tebow, and from everything I have read, he hasn't shown to be ready yet. But I also don't like denver, so personally, I'm all for throwing Tebow out there.

Word is that Philly is interested in the 2nd coming of T.O. Nowhere near a definite but it's a possibility.....we need another deep ball threat, and T.O. - 37 or not - could provide that still, at least in my eyes.

At this point, I think you would be using TO as a possession or slot receiver to help get Jackson and Maclin open downfield. I don't think he has the speed anymore to be a deep threat like that. I also think that if Philly brings back TO, they are insanse.

If we did, I'd bet on it being a 1 year deal, and probably nothing more, even if he plays next year. 2nd chances....we give 'em. LOL.

DJax and Maclin are much more efficient deep threats than TO.
Nobodies gonna double TO over those 2.

If they get TO before extending Jackson I hope he never plays for them again. He gets paid $600K. For him that is insulting and the Eagles should be extending their top WR before he says it and leaves for good. Esp. because they just got him back into camp.

Assuming Maclin and Jackson are starting by week 1, Philly has one of the best groups of WR's in the NFL. They also are more than fine in the slot with Avant. No need to bring in a potential distraction/headache in T.O.

They also told him flat out they weren't even gonna talk about a new contract while he was sitting his ass at home. He wants a new contract, fine. Yes, he deserves one. But he also knew that he needed to be in camp before they'd even discuss a new deal. Plus, it probably weighing on his mind that each day he skipped - as of last Thursday - would cost him a cool $30,000. So before it got really expensive to stay home, he showed up. Now they'll start talking new deal with him.
