They also told him flat out they weren't even gonna talk about a new contract while he was sitting his ass at home. He wants a new contract, fine. Yes, he deserves one. But he also knew that he needed to be in camp before they'd even discuss a new deal. Plus, it probably weighing on his mind that each day he skipped - as of last Thursday - would cost him a cool $30,000. So before it got really expensive to stay home, he showed up. Now they'll start talking new deal with him. $30K is nothing to him. I'm shocked he decided to actually go to camp. When you make less than 1 mil, 30K adds up to be alot.. |

$30K is nothing to him. I'm shocked he decided to actually go to camp. When you make less than 1 mil, 30K adds up to be alot.. Not when your base contract of $600K a year for 3-4 years added with endorsement deals come into it. |

Missing all of camp would of made him lose at least 15% of his salary..I don't know about you but that's alot of pennies.

I wonder if Cotchery is regretting asking for a release from the Jets. I mean at least he was guranteed a paycheck there.
