Now, don't bite my head off, this isn't a 'What's so good about Christian?' thread. I think Christian's great.
What I don't get is why a lot of members (not everyone of course, but a lot) always seem to create these scenarios that involve Christian getting a sudden push of some sort.
I'm referring to those people that were hoping for Christian to be revealed as Jeff Hardy's mystery attacker a couple of years back. I'm referring to all the talk of Christian returning and winning the Royal Rumble, both in 09 and this last one. Then there was Christian supposedly being the 6th member and eventual winner of the EC match last month. Now, the majority of the forum is calling for Christian to randomly be added to the World Title match at WrestleMania...?
Sure, it's not a crazy idea, it's not unthinkable or completely illogical. But, on the other hand, why would Christian really be added to such a big match, at the last second (if it's gonna happen it's gonna be announced a matter of days before the event)? If Christian needs to added just because he has a score to settle with Del Rio (despite facing him a Steel Cage last Friday), then why don't we just add Brodus Clay to the match too? I mean, he's been getting in the way of the Edge/ Del Rio storyline for weeks now as well.
What I'm saying is no matter what Christian is doing, any slight chance, or a hint towards, him being thrown in to a big match or a big storyline leads to the board erupting and coming out with all these ideas. People are actually expecting him to be added to the World Title match now. People will no doubt be disappointed if he isn't. Yet, really thinking about it, why would he be?
It's like, just because everyone's a Christian super-fan, they get their hopes up that big things are in store for him and then when nothing comes of it, all we get is complaining.
All I'm saying is, all this waiting for Christian to be lumped into Smackdown's main event at Mania is kind of silly. Hey, it could happen, but it's not like it must happen, or definitely will.

I think a lot of people just want Christian to get the push that he has never received and many feel he has deserved, which is why he is seemingly brought up in a variety of different scenarios.
Personally, I feel if Christian isn't added to the WM main event it would have been silly to ever have him get involved in this ADR - Edge storyline. Sure, Del Rio put him out for a matter of months, but WWE could have easily played off the whole thing and forgotten about it like they do for so many stories.

Hes def paid his dues and I know alot of people have but Ive been a fan of his since he started. Very high potential. Just cause hes not a poster boy shouldnt be a reason to exclude him from the main event picture. I heard that on time they put christians face on a promo poster and vince said he doesnt have the look for main event status. I dont understand that.

I would expect him to be involved because even though I am a huge Del Rio fan and a fan of Edge their match does not feel particularly noteworthy. Christian being involved with the chance to win his first world title adds much more interest to the match.

Because we are still waiting for the push he should have gotten before he left for TNA.

Because we are still waiting for the push he should have gotten before he left for TNA. Fair point, but I'm waiting for a few guys to get that big push into the main event, as are other people no doubt... doesn't mean it should happen all of a sudden and a week before the biggest event of the year. I say they should have Del Rio beat Edge for the title, then have Christian step up to challenge him after. They could have a good feud that would hopefully make the duller months of the WWE calendar look a little brighter.

Christian WAS supposed to be Jeff's attacker. WWE got pissed everyone knew it was him so they changed it to Matt and gave Christian Matt's spot on ECW.

Christian should have gotten the title back in 05 when he feuded with Cena. However, I've been a little luke warm on him since his return. I did enjoy the hell out of that cage match with Alberto though.

A lot of fans have grown up with Christian.
I've been a "Peep" since the early days of the Brood, and even more so after E & C reeked of awesomeness. So I would love to see him finally reach the top. Just like I felt when Triple H won his first WWE title.
Happiness for them for achieving their goals & a sense of satisfaction for years of being a fan.

Hey, like I said to Slappy, I have guys I want to see do well, as does every WWE fan. But, I don't think that means it needs to happen right now. Hold off on Christian for a month even, and I think that would be better. I think WWE couldn't have picked a worse time for throwing Christian, and particularly Brodus Clay, into the picture.

Great talent both in-ring and mic wise. It's proven that he can get younger talent over while being champ. Especially in TNA and WWE. Alot of people don't think he's capable, but when I saw his TNA run, I'd say it was the thing to watch. Probably the best era in TNA and easily the best era of ECW-WWE when he came back.

For me, it is the fact that he bumped like crazy during all the ladder matches and tlc's. I loved his UnAmericans stuff and the goofy tag team hi-jinx with Jericho. When he was doing the mid-card heel stuff feuding with Jericho around WM20 I loved it. Adding Tomko and Trish was great. He was the best part of the show imo and was waaay over. WWE never pulled the trigger and pushed him huge. His promos with Cena were great and could have been a great singles ppv match. WWE added Jericho to the Vengeance ppv making it a 3way which was good, but I think that the WWE audience was wanting a singles match. His move to sd! pretty much told the world that he was never breaking wwe's glass ceiling. His jump to tna was such a big deal because the iwc loved him at the time. I would love to see him in the World title match at mania this year personally.

Because we are still waiting for the push he should have gotten before he left for TNA. My sentiments exactly. In the OP, you said we want Christian to "randomly get entered in the WHC title match." Let's see here, Christian is coming off an injury that Del Rio caused and has a victory over Del Rio, who just happens to be the number one contender. I don't think that would make him being added to the match a "random" occurrence.

Chirsian is one of those guys who has it all, in the ring & on the mic. But for whatever reason hes not a main event player. This is a guy who loves the business & works his butt off every match every night. So over the years us Peeps want to see him succeed on the highest level- as a WWE World Champion. Doesnt matter heel or face this man deserves to be on the top of the card.

I don't think that would make him being added to the match a "random" occurrence. True, but firstly by randomly I meant like he's gonna be added in to a WrestleMania main event at the last second. 1. Why make the change this late on, just days before the event? 2. How does having a problem with your best friend's Mania opponent automatically grant you a shot at his title? 3. Edge and Del Rio have already signed the match contract. 4. Surely the match would be more of a handicap match anyway, with Christian and Edge going at Del Rio. 5. If not, would Edge really be happy about Christian cutting his chance of winning to 33% just for the sake of his own personal issue with Del Rio?

I think we can all agree that he deserves the belt.

If Christian just wins the WWE title and the World HW title plus WWE tag plus (i'm not talking about at the same time) he would be the only WWE superstar to win all the titles!
On subject: I think WF want Christian to win a world title in the WWE is because of all the things he has been through to get to where he is and most superstars haven't done some of the most extreme/exciting thing like Christian, and Christian has so much talent = he's great on the mic and has the ability to draw a crowd!

I agree and have been saying this for years, but I think there's a very good chance he will get into the World Title match at Wrestlemania...

ADR vs Edge is not a "big" match at all and Christian being added would only help it.
