I think the only definite figures you'll never see under the WWE banner are Benoit and Owen.

I remember that interview. They mentioned it was a name that "surprised" them. Did you find out who they were referring to? Actually a few names came up during our conversation but since him and I were both wrestling fans from the 80's and 90's I was surprised of a few names. For example when I asked (This was in the beginning of April) Bret Hart was still not signed and neither was Big Kev, and they sent out a lot of contracts to Legends/former Superstars but as far as signing them and returning the contracts that is still a determining factor. Some wrestlers insist on meeting up on their terms so there is a lot of meetings that go along with contract signings before anything can really be established.

I asked someone from Mattel and they mentioned that when the original interview was released it was in regards to figures that have a very huge fan base like wanting an Owen figure there are 2 that wont get signed. Everyone one else is up for grabs but its really based on the high demand of the Superstar/Legend. I remember that interview. They mentioned it was a name that "surprised" them. Did you find out who they were referring to? I'd like to know if Jakks released a figure of the unknown wrestler? Or did he become unreleasable only by Mattel. After Savage and Steamboat who is the biggest wrestler Jakks did not release?

Didn't WWE veto a DX set with the New Age Outlaws?

Thats actually a really good question I'll try to remember that the next time I see a Mattel employee. But if thats the case that could really be a bigger margin of wrestlers who didn't resign as to those who just wouldn't get signed before. As for Savage and Steamboat.... I am pretty sure they got paid quite well for the contracts they signed since we've seen 3 figures of each wrestler produced so far and there maybe more in the future.

They would make Hogan in a second if they could get the rights. It could be done, look at the WWE All Stars game. they have the rights. Hogan signed a likeness deal with WWE a while ago. so if Vince would allow it, it could happen tomorrow. It will NEVER happen as long as jakks is making hogans,If jakks stops mattel will make them

Here's what I don't think will ever be made, Gene Snitsky Kane when he was Dr. Issac Yankem Doink the Clown since I've been told that there are many Doink the Clowns wrestling in the independent circuit. Cris Benoit for obvious reasons. Big Bossman Any former WWE superstar who currently works for TNA

Anyone who's currently with TNA (although, I'd do anything for a Cactus Jack mattel) Chris Benoit Owen Hart and The Maestro (Gah, I really want one of him)

well to be honest, Never say Never in this business, Nobody thought we would ever get a savage, steamboat or Von Erich again, and we did
but the most diffucult,
Owen Hart Elizabeth Superstar Billy Graham Nailz Damien Demento OBVIOUSLY Chris Benoit
but believe it or not there are plenty of superstars who still should get made, even though they have passed on, or Jakks didnt do such a great job on their ends
Big John Studd needs to be re-done with correct sizing Adorable Adrian Adonis Hercules Hernandez Natural Butch Reed Paul Roma and Jim Powers The Conquestidors Georgeous George Nature Boy Buddy Rogers Arnold Skaaland BlackJack Lanza and Mulligan Tugboat Thomas Hakushi Killer Kahn
