I'm going to start collecting the Legends line - After selling all my 1/1000 figures a while back I think that the Legends line - and the legends line alone - is the way for me to collect MOC. To confirm - - Am I correct in thinking there has been 5 Series of these figures?
- Do I need to track down any exclusives or tag packs?
Whats the general feeling on this line? Looking back at the Jakks Classic this was the collectable line - and a line with a sucessful secondary market value - is this the same with Mattel Legends? Finally are there any particular figures that are harder to find than others? Judge

5 series so far.
There is an exclusive "Hall of Fame" series from KMart. These are re-releases of 6 figures from series 1 & 2. They have different packaging and come with a paper HOF plauque.
All the figures should be relatively easy to find, and you shouldn't 'have to pay much more than retail (15.99) per figure. Mattelshop.com, Ringsidecollectibles, and ebay would be your best bet.

Just so you know, the line is basically endangered right now due to "terrible" sales, and it's future is up in the air. In July they will probably let us know what's going on with it (SDCC).

Your in the UK which means alot of the above is useless to you.
You going to have a hard time and you will need to get some things like the Legends 2-packs on E-bay or from someone in the USA.
The Legends are also not in the UK but are only sold on Wrestling World (online in UK). Because they import them there expensive (alot more expensive than the USA anyway). The Entrance Greats, Defining Moments are available at Wrestling World and All-Star 2 packs will be.
The future (as said above) is in doubt and this series coming (series 6) may be the last.
The figures are Fantastic and you will love them if you like Legends & figures. Lets hope they carry on making them.

Interesting comments guys - It sounds like the line is struggling which is a shame. The figures look good - it does suprise me they were never released in the UK. How many figures in total have been released so far? I can see massive shipping charges coming my way from the US to get all these - either that or pay premium in the UK!

RSC will have their first shipment of Series 6 next week, but they are already sold out of their pre-orders. Series 6 is - Kerry Von Erich (WCCW) Kerry Von Erich (Texas Tornado) Kevin Von Erich Ultimate Warrior Eddie Guerrero Just so you know, the line is basically endangered right now due to "terrible" sales, and it's future is up in the air. In July they will probably let us know what's going on with it (SDCC). I'm sure it'll be fine. They said that with every DC line they've had and pretty much all have found a way to survive. 6' DCSH was a line that was said to have poor sales- that line went 9 Series before turning into DCUC which is up to Series 17 now. JL/JLU - the line was said to have died 3 years ago, but became Target exclusives, Matty exclusives and are now at TRU although it is finally said to be over this year.

I think it will be fine too, at least i cant see it being cancelled after series 6. Theres just too much untapped potential to the legends line to just pull the plug. And jakks classic line showed theres a lot of potential for legends lines. I Cant see them calling it quits before releasing The WWF Main Stays as The Undertaker, Bret , HBK and Andre

The Austin/Rock figures can be harder to track down and usually more on the pricey side.

So my buddy works at Wal Mart and he had a guy bring in 12 Legends he got at Family Dollar for $10 and returned them to Wal Mart for full retail price ($15.49). He said its policy for them to take it despite him knowing better.
Dude made a nice little profit.

Thanks for the feedback guys. Really useful checklist aswell - much appreciated. I have now sorted a deal for 4 Legends figures and looking at getting more. Just out of question - would most people the Defining moments and Entrance Greats as 'legends' figures.

Definitly get some Legends man. They're great figures. I only have a few, but I have yet to be let down by them

I have hundreds of RA figures but have started slowly adding Legends figures as they are pretty nice and have filled holes where Jakks couldn't fill (Macho Man, Steamboat, etc).
