Haven't seen confirmation, but plenty of rumors from decent sources saying Season 2 is a go. After that trios final we have to have another season.

In my opinion, Lucha Underground is far and away the most entertaining wrestling show on television. It must continue.

Chavo, Mundo, and producer are on Piper's podcast today. Haven't listened yet, but maybe the answers are there.
EDIT: Listening now. They recorded 39 episodes, just aired #24. This week is #25. If my math is right, 1st season ends 1st week of August.
At end of podcast, producer says 2nd season is not officially announced yet but they all have a good feeling about it.

Not to be THE downer on this thread (I adore the show and it bums me out that it might not come back), but anything other than the network confirming another season means nothing. I honestly think another season lies solely on viewership. It gets lower ratings than TNA and is losing absurd amounts of money per episode. If the ratings see a drastic increase, it'll be safe. Unfortunately, I don't know if 2-3 million people will jump on board in the next few months. |

It's doing great on Unimas, the Spanish Saturday version. Look for official word in May. That's when the networks do their "upfronts". That's when they announce their fall lineup to advertisers.
Univision's upfront is May 12, so maybe it will be announced then. It has to be renewed soon. They have to tape new episodes in the summer to get them on the air by September.

From what I've been reading, they're trying to get it on Univision, which is a bigger Spanish language network in the US (and also used to air AAA. Yup, i have verizon fios and i dont get galavision, but i get Univision, they air a ton of wrestling on the weekends. Its not called CMLL, its simply lucha libre. The shows are a mess tho...they run one right into another. it might be on Univision Deportes come to think of it...ill check for you guys. |

That would be cool, maybe a lot of us here have the channel you're thinking of Just checked, it wasn't Univision, it's Azteca America, channel 461 on Verizon fios and the show is called Lucha Azteca. It's CMLL I saw a match with El Terrible and Maximo last Saturday |

Lucha Underground was show of the week as usual, I'm surprised you guys don't talk about it more.
Question: If Puma ever loses the title, who will it be to? I honestly don't know, he seems like the perfect choice to be champ.

I think if they do make him lose the strap it needs to be someone who can put on an amazing match with Puma. |
