As part of the hype for Verano de Escandalo, I decided to post this match between Alberto el Patron and Fenix vs. El Mesias (Mil Muertes for those Lucha Underground fans) and Brian Cage. Cage is scheduled to face el Patron for the AAA Mega Championship.
I also added this women's match between Fabi Apache and Keira against the AAA Reina de Reinas Champion Taya Valkyrie and Mari Apache just cause I'm a fan of hers.

I found the picture on Luchaworld.com, where I get my lucha libre news. I wanted to get on a habit of changing my sig every time they post a Lucha report, but this pic is too awesome to get rid of. BTW, they're technically babyfaces, though Rush, La Sombra, La Mascara, Marco Corleone and I guess until he's done in CMLL, Naito, act like heels/rudos in a group named Los Ingobernables, which they really are rudos, but they refuse to acknowledge themselves as it. I like their group. I remember at the Anniversary Show last year, Rush and La Sombra fought Shocker and Negro Casas, who are heels/rudos, and Rush especially got major heat and Shocker and Negro Casas were mainly cheered.

Yup I read about Rush low blowing people all the time even tho he is a techinco. Him vs. Nero Casas in a hair vs. hair match is CMLL's money match since business has been down since Atlantis vs. Ultimo Guerrero (which had one of the best crowds and post match i've ever seen).

I was looking at the next AAA tapings. Rey Misterio Jr. finally wrestles at a TV taping on June 28, as he only wrestled on large events/PPVs since his debut. He teams up with Psycho Clown to face Texano Jr. and El Mesias. On July 3, in a Revelos Increibles bout, Alberto el Patron teams up with Brian Cage to face Blue Demon Jr. and Villano IV. Also on that card, Myzteziz faces Averno. The main event on July 10 is a 3 Way Bull Terrier match (basically a 3 way bullrope/chain match) between el Patron, Brian Cage and El Mesias.

If you guys like Lucha Underground, PWG's 2015 Battle of Los Angeles has a BUNCH of them. Fenix, Aero Star, Pentagon Jr., Drago, Angelico, Jack Evans will be there, and Cage too.

It seems like Super Dragon and Excalibur struck a deal with the AAA office.

Well...Triplemania happened. I was really looking forward to it but unfortunately some stuff came up. Aside from the audio issues, how was it? Missed the first match, but the next three honestly were awful. Villanos/Clowns might have been a top five worst match of all time, the trios title match was overbooked by using the cage so that killed the match, then the Blue Demon match was just meh. Between three bad matches and the audio, I didn't stick around for the two mains. Though Mzyteriz turned rudo in a nonsensical fashion. I was apprehensive looking at the card at first, but wow was I let down. I truly don't want to sound negative and if the card for their show in October is better I'll definitely watch it, but between the poor action, borderline insane booking, and audio issues this did not seem Mexico's biggest company's biggest event of the year. I promise, if you have LU DVRed and have three episodes saved, that's a much better use of your time.

I ordered TripleMania tonight. If it wasn't for the production difficulties, it would have been a much better show. The opener was great. One thing I noticed was that everyone's entrances were shorter than usual. The match was fun. They seriously gotta find more exoticos to mix these matches up a little bit. It's tiring to see Escarlata and Mamba every time. I liked the Villanos vs. Psycho Circus match. I was expecting Psycho Circus to get the victory. I was surprised to see Villano III and V wrestle with their masks, since they have lost their masks in lucha de apuestas, but I guess for Villano III's retirement match, the commission allowed it. I was confused that the trios 3 way match was a steel cage match, especially since the point of the match was to retrieve the belts. Why not just make it a TLC match. Anyways, the match had cool spots, but I was disappointed that it ended short. The Blue Demon Jr./La Parka vs. El Mesias/Electroshock match was boring. I barely paid attention to it after 3 minutes. I loved the lucha de apuestas match with Alberto el Patron and Brian Cage. It was a great way to end the feud, as usual in lucha libre. The whole el Patron powerbombing Cage and then covering him with the Mexican flag was a nice touch to the end of the feud, as Cage did that multiple times with the US flag on el Patron. Mysterio vs. Myzteziz was a great match. I didn't like that Mysterio beat Myzteziz with la Mistica. After the match, it got confusing. First you had members of la Sociedad (Joe Lider, Pentagon Jr., Averno) attack Myzteziz and Mysterio saves him, then Myzteziz turns rudo, then the PPV ended while the rudos attacked Mysterio. What people missed was that Myzteziz joined La Sociedad under the Perros del Mal group. I agree with people when they say, "What was the point of the rudos attacking Myzteziz if he was going to join them afterward". I would have preferred Myzteziz just turn rudo, but not be associated with Konnan and La Sociedad, which I still think should f***ing end. Just let El Consejo, Perros del Mal, Hell Brothers run with being a part of the same mega group. I think if AAA was smart about the lucha de apuestas challenge that Myzteziz put against Mysterio, they would build it up until the next Triplemania. Now I know, why wait a year? Well CMLL made the fans wait a year for the Atlantis/Ultimo Guerrero lucha de apuestas match when they decided to go with Volador Jr. vs. La Sombra mask vs. mask two years ago instead of the Atlantis/Guerrero match. The wait was worth it because the two of them told a great story. Keep Mysterio and Myzteziz in trios matches on the special shows until Triplemania.
Overall, I'll give the PPV a 7 out of 10. Would have been 7.5 if it wasn't for the technical issues. I'm sure the fans who ordered expecting to see something similar to Lucha Underground were real disappointed in the PPV. Fans like me who knows the lucha libre style and the lucha libre culture a lot better than most American fans were mostly satisfied, because we knew what to expect coming in to the show. As for the technical issues, after the second match, I just decided to listen to the Spanish commentators, who even though they were having problems, it wasn't as bad as the English commentators, which had Hugo on mute at one point. I really hope if AAA is planning another world wide PPV, they figure how to broadcast it without all these issues.

He was Mistico is CMLL, I always just assumed AAA didn't want to make any reference to them and chose a different name for him. That could be way wrong, but that's what I thought.
