Missed the first match, but the next three honestly were awful. Villanos/Clowns might have been a top five worst match of all time, the trios title match was overbooked by using the cage so that killed the match, then the Blue Demon match was just meh. Between three bad matches and the audio, I didn't stick around for the two mains. Though Mzyteriz turned rudo in a nonsensical fashion. I was apprehensive looking at the card at first, but wow was I let down. I truly don't want to sound negative and if the card for their show in October is better I'll definitely watch it, but between the poor action, borderline insane booking, and audio issues this did not seem Mexico's biggest company's biggest event of the year. I promise, if you have LU DVRed and have three episodes saved, that's a much better use of your time. Completely off topic, but why didn't he go back to using the Mistico instead of Myzteziz after leaving WWE? CMLL owns the rights to the Mistico name. They replaced Myzteziz with Dragon Lee I as Mistico a couple of years ago. It's similar to how L.A. Park can't use the La Parka gimmick in Mexico since AAA owns the La Parka gimmick.

Yeah King of Harts told me all about it. For some reason I was thinking that he was Mistico in AAA. Thanks though.

i watched 2 matches from Triplemania, The Villanos vs. The Psycho Circus and Rey Mysterio vs. Myzteziz. The Villanos looks so slow and had no business wrestling it was just a horrilbe match, minus 5 stars. Rey vs. Myzteziz was alright but it could have been better.

VideosOficialesCMLL is the true, official CMLL youtube page correct? I saw that they are starting to put up these 2 to 3 hour shows. If only they would use some graphics or name cards when luchadores are introduced. It would help so much!!

I've been intrigued by CMLL due to their partnership with NJPW and wouldn't mind checking some out.

If you're in the Toronto area, Lucha T.O. is making some waves with fast paced lcuah action. Vampiro will also be there on September 20.

Dose anyone know how resent this is? I wanted to say it was from last weekend's Heroes Inmortales show, but after actually watching the show, this show was taped on September 20.

Right? I mean it's almost sad now, but still entertaining at least. Super Porky entrance is still the most entertaining thing of the week for me, depending if he's on TV that week. Nice Ghost signature by the way, just saw them on their current tour. Not to get off topic.

There's only a little bit of lucha libre fans, and this thread is mostly active when Lucha Underground is on, so that could be the reason for the inactivity. And yes I agree, Super Porky's entrance is entertaining af.
In lucha news, AAA cancelled their Guera de Titanes show, which was supposed to feature Rey Mysterio vs. Johnny Mundo to crown the new AAA Mega Champion. They're making it up by having a TV taping on December 6. Cibernetico left AAA and debuted on Lucha Libre ELITE, which has a partnership with CMLL because they have shows in Arena Mexico every Sunday. He joined El Caristico (former Myzteziz) and Black Warrior, who left AAA and joined Lucha Libre Elite.

That's a shame. CMLL has two live shows that are streamed every week, AAA actually had a stream onlient his week for their TV. Not to mention someone like TheCubsFan on YouTube who has a weekly Tuesday update with all the AAA, CMLL and IWRG TV from the past week. People are missing out, for sure. I was kind of browsing through this thread and I'm seeing that it seems like people are mostly AAA on here. I guess I'm going to have to bring the CMLL flavor to this board. I like AAA and everything, but I've always been a CMLL loyalist.

This is from my blog, but I think it is a very useful piece of material. Especially for those just getting into Lucha.
Introduction First and foremost I would like to thank a man known to the internet as TheCubsFan, a fine gentleman who runs LuchaBlog; a website/blog that keeps me up to date on what is happening south of the border. Also, because of his YouTube channel, with updates every Tuesday. His quality isn’t the best, but I’d rather have crapquality and be current than have HD and be months behind. I also need to plug a website known as LuchaWiki, that is just as it implies; an informational database dedicated to Lucha Libre. Sometimes the server goes down or runs slow, but still a must on a bookmark list. LuchaWikiLuchaBlogTheCubsFan YouTubeChannelLas Reglas de (The Rules of) Lucha Libre This was completely overwhelming when I first started watching and at times, I swear the people in Lucha don’t actually know the rules either. There are probably some errors, as these were written by observation with an exceeding lack of understanding of the Spanish language. - Most matches are two out of three falls, in general. There are matches of course where this doesn’t apply, given the stipulation. AAA in recent years gave adopted the American one-fall concept.
- In a tag match you must pin both members of the team for a fall to count.
- In Trios (and four-on-four) matches, a fall ends when you pin the team captain, so if another member of the team is pinned they are out for the remainder of the fall until the captain is pinned.
- In a five-on-five, the idea again is to eliminate the captain. If someone is pinned, they are eliminated, putting their team at a disadvantage.
- There are tags in Lucha Libre, but they are not necessary. If your partner goes to the floor, you are allowed to enter the ring and become legal.
- Speaking of going to the floor, there is a twenty count in Lucha.
- Men and women in intergender tag matches are not allowed to touch, though it happens behind the referees backs for heat quite often. This rule seems to be exempt when it’s Mini on Woman
- Disqualifications are generally the same as anywhere else. Removing someone’s mask is an instant disqualification. I believe there are some “move bans”, such as piledrivers. When I say it is banned, I mean the wrestlers do it behind the referee’s back. When it comes to the ref’s back being turned, watch for low blows. This seems to be the equivalent of being shot in the crotch in Lucha. The rules also seem to be very loose, as sometimes you will see someone DQed for something in one match, then someone does it the next with no issue.
Highest quality you’ll find, but always behind.CMLL’s Official YouTubeLive Monday night stream from Puebla, Mexico 10 PM EST.CMLL on ClaroSportsLive stream Friday night, usually it is not country restricted, sometimes it is. I believe its also 10PM EST. Usually better than the Monday show.TheCubsFan YouTubeAAA, CMLL and IWRG. Updated every Tuesday, extremely up to date. The quality isn’t the best in the world, but like I said, current.Miscellaneous Links Alex Marin’s YouTube (Classic EMLL) LuchaLibreDeMexico’s YouTube (Mexican Indies, mostly) LuchaBlog Archive TKD117′s YouTube (Older, assorted) Assorted NotesThis is just some key points to the Lucha Libre experience. If I miss anything, feel free to shoot me a line to update this post. - A mask versus mask, hair versus hair or hair versus mask match will always been seen as more important than a title match. In fact, sometimes months will go by without someone defending their title.
- A babyface is know as a Técnico.
- A heel is known as a Rudo.
- There are Técnico and Rudo referees.
- An Exótico is a “division” of men who wrestle essentially in drag. Some are straight, some are gay and some are in between. This is usually lower card comedy, with the kiss spots and all that. I love it.
- Not all minis are people with Dwarfism, most are just really short dudes. In fact, Rey Mysterio Jr. was almost a mini when he started, but the promoter was talked out of it.
- On the subject of Dwarfism, you will notice the usage of mascots in Lucha Libre and will realize how incredible they are.
- Luchadores are often repackaged in another gimmick at some point in their career, but not all of course. This occurs due to several reason. One, the act is stale and they need career freshening. Two, the promoter feels they need to be moved up the card, but their current gimmick isn’t main event. Three, someone is handed down the mask of someone else. Then finally, if they jump promotions and their last employer owns their gimmick.
- There are times in which a new person is introduced as an established character (such as Mistico) and is an accepted practice with the promotions and the fanbase alike. This also holds true for gimmck changes, as the crowd sees it like an actor taking on another role.
- There is a common misconception that when you lose the mask, you can never put it back on. Sometimes, when a person takes on a new gimmick they take a new mask along with it.
- When you lose a mask versus mask match, is is customary that you reveal your real name, hometown and how long you’ve been wrestling.
In closing…If I missed anything you feel NEEDS to be on this post, let me know. I hope this helps improve Lucha Libre experience and if you ever have any questions, I’ll be happy to answer them. If I don’t know the answer, I will try my best to find an answer to any inquire you may have.

At least in CMLL, I sorta know where the rivalries are heading at. I remember loving where the Atlantis/Ultimo Guerrero rivalry headed at, even though I disliked when they went with the La Sombra/Volador Jr. match
