Looks like exclusivities for Activision are coming to an end! Next week for Rock Band......for the first time since the cover on-disc of the very first Rock Band game....
AEROSMITH!!!!!
I, for one, am super excited for this one. Best pack in quite some time, tbh.

It's about time we got more than 3 packs. Aerosmith is a good choice. I just wish Kings and Queens was in there. Also it's a good sign that maybe we'll get some Metallica some time soon.

I'd like to see some more Metallica and finally some Van Halen and The Eagles. I always thought we could get some Van Hagar era stuff since GH Van Halen was all DLR songs but I guess guess not. |

Judging by the preview video, the "Love Hurts" re-record sounds...ehhh on vocals. Same reason I never picked up "Hair of the Dog".
I like all the song choices though.

Good stuff today. I had fun playing More Than Words on Pro. Sure, I failed it on hard, but I'll get better. I know how to play it on a real guitar, but since Rock Band wants you to strum the exact strings at the exact time, it's a little fussier than me just kind of faking it. I still have a little trouble reading those chord diagrams they show, but I guess I just need to practice. Rocksmith seemed a lot more confusing - I really need to put some time into that game, too.
Tainted Love is pretty easy but awesome. Glory of Love surprised me with some crazy guitar parts.

Well all good things must come to an end. Due to the decreases in sales that have been experienced by HMX coupled with the need to shift resources to new projects, April 2nd is the last of weekly Rock Band DLC. I wanna cry.

I'm not surprised. They had a good run, and longer than they should have probably. I appreciate how long and well they supported the game, but the interest just isn't there anymore.

I definitely will keep on rocking. And with just 5 releases to go, I hope they go out with a big bang.
In actuality it's 3 releases. There's still 6 songs from Blitz we've yet to get, so unless those come in one week as 6 singles, those will take 2 of the 5 remaining releases.
BC what do you play on? If 360, add me. We can jam out sometime. That goes for any of my fellow RB'ers. The farewell tour is on. We need some "shows", lmao

So, can someone talk about Blitz for me? I played it and honestly it's a pile of shit. 1200 for 20 tracks I can play in Rock Band 3? Oh, I can play all my DLC tracks with just the left stick and A Button?
I don't get it. I used to play Frequency on the PS2, and it's nothing like that.

RIP Rock Band DLC 11/20/2007 - 4/2/2013 Wow, needless to say I was shocked by this since I haven't visited the Rock Band forums in a while.  The first thought that comes to mind is all of the artists who will never receive DLC, and that's utterly disappointing for me. Rock Band is easily my most played game and, while I'll still enjoy the library of songs I'll have accumulated up 'til that point, it will be difficult to adjust to no new songs, or Friday morning announcements for that matter. Very sad news, but what will this mean for the future of Rock Band as it stands now? Will we see a Rock Band 4 in the next year or two, and could DLC make a return for it? |

But which gamertag? You have two? I've never actually played Rock Band with anybody online. Offline, sure. I even have the Rock Band Stage Kit with bad ass smoke and flashing lights. |
