My favorite review line for this movie came from i09 (the whole review was really funny). It said that the new girlfriend makes Megan Fox look like Katherine Hepburn by comparison. Also, there's no way she's hotter than fox. Those lips are horrid. People mention how others take it too seriously and they liked it because it was nothing more than a mindless fun movie. But in my opinion, these movies even fail on that criteria. I haven't seen the third, so my thoughts are only on the first two. But they were both huge messes. The designs were too complex, making it hard to tell what the robots were doing, way too much non robot action, and most of that features Sam moaning about something. The second movie was all about him wanting to be normal, and from what I understand, the new one is him whining about how people won't let him be special. When I want mindless entertainment I want something that's actually fun. I'm not even a LeBouf hater, I just think he's been given crap to work Needless to say, I won't be seeing this movie. I certainly won't be paying for it anyway. I still have Transformers: The Movie on DVD, and that is better than any of these films could ever dream to be.

My eyes are messed up and won't let me see 3D properly, but I'll definitely purchase the DVD as soon as it hits.
PLEASE tell me Shia yells NONONONONONONO!, otherwise that'll be the only instance in which I'll be disappointed.

So basically you basically came here without watching the movie just to crapon it based on the first two? That is just stupid. However I do agree with you 100% about the animated movie being better. I wish it would get released on Blu-Ray in the US.

The first movie at least had a certain charm to it, but Revenge was just... ugh. One of the worst things. I really like Shia and I'm glad that he's in Wettest County in the World, which should be outstanding, where he can flex his actual acting chops and mature more as an actor. A Guide to Recognizing Your Saints certainly showed that he has talent and against all odds he's managed to be enjoyable in this franchise, and I hear he was good in Money Never Sleeps. Can't wait for this post-Transformers phase of his career to begin.

honestly the movie would have been my number one of the three had it not been for the new love interest i mean you fired megan fox which im sure they had their reasons other then the hitler story but why not just have no love interest it would have been better then replacing her with a no name model and shia saying he loves her after 4 hrs of build up with him and fox from the first 2
i mean i can deal without fox but dont try to replace her plus the new girl couldnt shine megan fox's shoes as far as looks go

And this movie kicked ass but I suppose it's the cool thing to do to hate Transformers.

I thought it was really fun. Aside from two things: *spoilers*!!!!!!!!!!
Why would Sentinel just give back the matrix to Optimus considering what happens later? Doesn't he need to to breathe new life into cybertron?
And two, Megatron.... Wow what was the point. And the ending of the movie was just like "I'm Optimus and we love humans" BAM! Over! Then a small scene that's pointless and even further kills the ending.
Other than a all around rushed ending, it was still fun I thought. It was like the last Harry potter movie and took it in a darker direction which ended up working.

Honestly, what is it with people and Megan Fox? I don't think I am exaggerating when I say she is in the top 3, if not the, worst actress in Hollywood today.

Megan Fox looks like a wax statue to me, and acts about as well as one. The new chick looks hot, but also looks completely out of place, and looks to be an equally bad actress as Megan Fox.

I didn't really mean for it to be a long rant, but I haven't heard or seen anything that leads me to believe this one is any different than the first two. But yes, I will get the animated movie as soon as it comes out on blu-ray.

Saw it today. I was pleasantly surprised this time around. A big step up from Transformers 2.
Also, I thought the new girl not only was better looking than Megan Fox, but she also did fairly well for someone who's never acted before. She certainly wasn't as bad as some people are saying. If they expected some sort of amazing performance from anyone in this movie then they are dreaming.

Loved this movie. Felt darker and meaner than the first 2. Honestly this is my favorite film of the 3. Megan Fox is hot still (needs to gain a little weight IMO) and the chick is smoking as well. I dont see why she got bashed for her performance, wasnt that bad to me.

Her first scene walking in underwear and a shirt I was like "ok here goes bay just sexing up the lead actress", which he did, but not to the extent of "ooo look at her shes sexy" all movie long. She wasn't bad at all. I loved this one, it was hands down my favorite out of the 3

i just feel that if megan fox wasnt gonna be in it, it might have gave a new dramatic twist to the sam character where he was really fighting just for himself and the public instead of saving the girl thus making him an actual selfless hero without the presence of a girl to motivate him
the 3d was phenominal wish my closest imax was sold out tho so i had to deal with regular screen 3d but we got put in the "birthday party/rental" theater sooooo it was tiny as hell and we were real close so i didnt lose much by missing it in imax althought i doubt i will ever see a movie that long again in 3d it was just too much of a strain on my head and eyes and i feel the movie is darker and blurryer in 3d

i have been seriously underwhelmed with this summer's movies
