Megan Fox sucks as an actress Rosie Huntington-Whiteley might be worse, but shes SO friggin hot.

I saw it today. The previews really pissed me off. "Real Steel" with Hugh Jackman? More like "Rock 'Em Sock 'Em Robots: THE MOVIE" Pure suckage. "Zookeeper" with Kevin James? The only way this bloated unfunny douche has a career is because Chris Farley died. "The Change-Up" with Ryan Reynolds & Jason Bateman? Great. Another take on the "Oh no! I have your body and you have mine!" plot. Poop on a stick!
I don't want to live on this planet anymore.
Onto the Transformers rant.
As a nerd, I thought the visual effects were great. As a nit-picking nerd, I found fault with a lot of things. The new chick wasn't that hot. Cute? Sure. Hot? No. The scene with the teetering glass building was just too dumb. And how did Carly stay so clean & unhurt through the whole battle? And since when do robots say "Aaagh! My eye! Ouch!"?
And I was waiting for someone to shut Mearing up. What an ugly old battle axe!
But thankfully Skids & Mudflap weren't in it.
Overall, I'd give it 6/10.

I liked the third one, but I still don't think it can top the first one as being a "good" movie. For some reason I thought the first one managed to balance a decent story, likeable characters and the usual insane Bay action.
The second one failed on every level and ended up feeling bloated and boring and luckily the third one comes out ahead in the action department, but manages to do nothing as far as story goes.
I think after 3 films I've learned my lesson with Transformers. I stop hoping for any sort of plot or any sort of characters I don't hate and I instead focus on massive amounts of action and explosions.
I liked Dark of the Moon, especially for the 3D. I really do think its the best thing since Avatar, as far as 3D goes. It felt needed and it really did engage me more with the film.
I still prefer Megan Fox, not because she is an amazing actor, but because she managed to be that bad girl that still fell for the idiot kid because of the events from the first film. The new girl just submissively accepts Shia even though he is a massive crybaby the whole film. Both ladies are extremely attractive but only Fox felt needed.
Once the news spread about her departure, I was hoping they would just stop giving Shia stupid girlfriends or any sort of relationships, but of course Bay needed something to stare at for 3 hours. Whatever, she's still hot!
All in all, it was enjoyable!

Did not like. And I was ing stoked for it. Im a huge fan of 1 and 2; was pushing my friends all day saying "Lets go! I dont want Imax to sell out!" and we were like 2nd in line. I couldnt have been more ready to have my mind blown, but it didnt happen. I found myself waiting for action or battles.... and waiting... and waiting. Eventually I thought "This movies probably halfway over... and theyre still telling the story?" And then the conclusion came and damn did it suck. Not to mention I found a handful of plotholes in the conclusion that I normally wouldnt notice, but it became pretty obvious after a while. And Shockwave? He didnt ing battle! He was tagged as the main villian going into the theater (minus spoilers), and they build him up pretty good to where I was like "Man, he's a in beast! When he fights, its going to be unlike any Bot battle yet!" Then... he doesnt battle anyone. It gets like a 5/10 from me. It didnt live up to my expectations, or any kind of hype I seen for this.

Saw it today. I was pleasantly surprised this time around. A big step up from Transformers 2. That isn't that difficult.

Saw it in IMAX last night, which, in and of itself is an experience. Only my second time seeing a film in IMAX, as the closest one to me is about two hours away.
I enjoyed it, as I expected to. In terms of artistic merit and value, it's pretty much void of all redeemable qualities, as to be expected. As a mindless, entertaining summer popcorn flick, it does its job and does it well.
The visual effects were stunning on the IMAX screen, but I feel like 3D hindered it a bit.
I'm so tired of the 3D craze already. It's fine with a movie here and there, but now that all theaters are slowly but surely introducing it, studios have to make sure they can get a return on their investment and as a result, we're getting a whole mess of useless 3D.
To date, the only 3D films I left the theater for without getting a headache or feeling disoriented were Up, Toy Story 3, and Avatar. Everything else has left me physically drained afterward, with this one being the worst. One of my friends could hardly finish it because it was so disorienting and almost painful to watch at times.
