Trying to think of some wrestlers who, when they left, never showed up again...whether in WWF/WWE, WCW, ECW, or wherever. One that comes to mind is Bruno Sammartino. I've heard he absolutely hates the wrestling business now, and did during the Attitude Era too. I don't think he's ever shown up for anything.

Marc Mero when he left WWF. I remember him cutting a promo saying if he lost he would never appear in WWF again. He lost and hasn't appeared since.

Im sure they're quite a few names. Especially with mid carders and jobbers but it would be hard to find many people on the level as someone like Punk. The closest I can think of would be Randy Savage.

Lashley, when he got hurt, and then asked for his release to jump to MMA. He was hurt in an angle with Kennedy and then got his release and never came back from his injury.

sylvan greigner lost on new years eve in a loser leaves match against j. hardy and never came back to wwe at least, Jericho in his most recent stint away from wwe claims he currently has no desire to resign but it's always available for him to do so.
