90% of her career was drug related news and horrible drugged out live performances. So yeah, no big lost.
R.I.P though, she obviously had a HUGE drug problem and had so many chances to help herself

I will state again, with how media is these days, the rest didn't live in the same style of treatment. If the internet existed how it did, do you know how many videos of Cobain being  ed up in public would exist? Cobain was as known for his heroin abuse as he was his music.I don't even really agree there either... "Smells Like Teen Spirit" is probably one of the 10 most popular and critically acclaimed songs of all-time. He'll be known for that more than he will be for overdosing. I doubt the same is true with Amy Winehouse and "Rehab" (or whatever else you would think is her biggest song). Just my opinion though. not even just Smells like teen spirit, The whole Nevermind album will go down as one of the best albums ever. Atleast Kurt didnt up his live performances. His live performances sounded better than the album versions and he will never be topped in that category. People spent money just to watch Amy mumble and forget lyrics and being a doped up trashy person on stage who is only known for that rehab song which pretty much tells you why she died. |

I am not saying this because she has died:
She is my favorite musician of all time! Has anyone actually sat down & listened to the woman's heartbreaking lyrics?
Back To Black is the greatest album I've ever heard from start to finish. It's what got me through a very tough break up with an ex..it's what picked me up when nothing else could
To hear people talking about a flawed human being as if, so what - it's their own doing, it is selfish & disgusting.
I'm into old styles of music, Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald, & wish she could've gotten over addictions but it's not an easy thing to do.

It is sad to hear that she died. I feel sorry for her family and friends. I won't pretend like i was her biggest fan b/c i never really listened to her music, but RIP. Some people get hooked into drugs and just can't stop. This might have happened to her.

I think it's sick what some of these comments are, at the end of the day this was a human life, who never caused anyone any physical harm, she had a problem but that is besides the point, she didn't deserve these sort of harsh comments, and I'm in no way a fan of her or her music.
