I'de personally like to see a half black/half white super hero. Grey hulk doesn't count! Warhawk, son of Hawkgirl and Green Lantern John Stewart.

Some of you seem to be missing my point. Anyway I live in the bronx, work in manhatten and there is always diversity amongst race, sexuality and individuality. If I put together a hero film or a action film I would utilize this somehow without having to resort so heavily on stereotyping on others.

If I put together a hero film or a action film I would utilize this somehow without having to resort so heavily on stereotyping on others. You are missing the point, these movies that you claim are stereotyping are BASED ON SOMETHING PARTICULAR, it's not like they just up and decided to make ONLY white superhero movies to hold black people back. They have basis in the comics, 60 years in some cases. I fail to see how where you live is relevant in the least bit here, big deal? I live in Queens, and work in Manhattan, but I'm not bitching that Captain America is full of only whites because THAT'S HOW IT IS SUPPOSED TO BE. There have been super hero movies and action movies with black stars. Michael Bay directed Transformers, where you claim they focused on only the white people, but he ALSO directed Bad Boys, starring Will Smith and Martin Lawrence, two BLACK ACTORS. Whatever you think you're getting at here, you're doing it all wrong. You're coming off a pissed off racist who hates white people in movies. Get over it.

For a majority of time the comic book community was entirely comprised of caucasian males, so we need to let the times catch up with the current demographic...but I would never go to Asia and demand their Kung Fu movies star more hispanic heroes, or head to India and demand that Bollywood films begin featuring Native Americans.

The OP has a good point. If there is a Captain America and a Captain Britain, why isnt there a Captain Korea? Even if there are Asian superheroes created by Asian media, they end up becoming white in Hollywood like Son Goku in Dragonball Evolution.

Even if there are Asian superheroes created by Asian media, they end up becoming white in Hollywood like Son Goku in Dragonball Evolution. Well, so did Godzilla. That doesn't mean that the source character is changed, it just means Americans got ahold of the idea and screwed it up. Since we're on the subject of reverse-racism, I'd like to admit that I'm a reverse-sexist and won't be happy until BatMAN is portrayed as a woman. ...See how stupid that sounds? Changing characters with decades of history is USUALLY a terrible idea. Not saying it can't be done, but NEVER at the expense of the character's essence. A good example is Nick Fury, who's always been white in the comics, but became black in Ultimate Marvel continuity and the Marvel Films. No one made a fuss about the change because it worked. Why? The character didn't change, just the race. I will say, modern comic book heroes have many more asian/african/latino/indian/whatever else-hyphen-american heroes. The thing is, EVERYONE has heard of the classic heroes like Captain America, Batman, Superman, Spider-Man, etc. The classic ones were, as it happens, all invented during a time where main, leading characters were white males. It's just how it is.

Oh, I love ignorant reverse racism. Yeah, I have to say that I find this thread and the title especially to be quite offensive. What if I made a thread that said "Tired of the black rapper"?
