No, this woman has a right to express herself. If she wants to wear a corny Spencer's shirt in public, she has every right to.

That looked more like a man.
But if there were married couples there I suppose they would be offended. I think its pretty offensive. Personally I wouldn't be offended I just think other people might be.

im more than cool with her wearing it.. im more than cool with the stance..
BUT
if you are somewhere , and they have "dress code" rules.. they have the right to ask you to leave , change or so on...
as i was taught growing up.. there is always a time and a place... a family theme park is probably not the best place to be wearing your heart on your sleeve..

I dont know, my problem in this situation...is it was a themepark...so really what possible dress code could they have. I know that some people do wear stuff just to draw attention to themselves which I dislike and others do it because they just love it and I can never tell which is which. I mean I've been ask to do things in places and have done so as not to cause any trouble because I knew that my clothing was a bit overly dramatic for where I was...that being said...even if your asked...doesnt mean you have to. A person can ask out of courtesy just not wanting to see a stir caused over intolerance...and you still dont have to abide...idk...blah

The shirt's message is to allow more widespread allowance of gay/lesbian marriages. How is that offensive? Because of a word we've twisted to sound dirty and wrong? Ridiculous.

I personally dont think she should have to, but the owners of a place make the rules I suppose.

If you are on somebody's private property, they have the right to set the rules, such as what is appropriate dress code. It's like some fancy restaurants which require you wear a dinner jacket, or ban shorts and sandals.
Like on WF, we are not allowed our 100% right to free speech on here....but we agreed to surrender certain rights when we signed up for the right to post on somebody else's private message board.
The main thing I think is people's issue is that some people want to think it's ok for somebody who is gay to wear a shirt that says something is gay on it. Like we as a culture look the other way when black people throw around the N-word.
I am Jewish...would anybody consider it an appropriate t-shirt if I wore something that said "I'm Jewish, throw pennies on the ground and I'll pick them up!" or something else just because I'm Jewish and if I wear it we assume that nothing that can be said about Jewish people could possible offend me and if I'm not offended that makes it ok?
Bottom line, the slogan on the t-shirt was not appropriate to be worn in public anyway, regardless of the sexual orientation of the person wearing it....and since they were on private property, the establishment has the right to set any rules they want. They could ban green socks and white hats if they chose to do so.

She has the right to express herself, but why did she feel the need to do that an amusement park? I side with the park.

Hi, I live in America, we are free & have free speech. . . Wait. . . Does that mean I should be able to wear a shirt promoting sex or drugs or alcohol to school, church or family function? I agree with the whole freedom of speech thing of course, but just because I'm able to have free speech doesn't mean I should be obnoxious about it.

I don't even see it as being obnoxious, tbh. It's entirely possible, but I doubt that the lady picked that shirt for that specific day. I think she just chose a shirt to wear and it happened to be that one, and she didn't think anything else of it. Hell, I see it as discrimination of sorts. Not allowing someone who is a lesbian to wear something because it goes against what you believe? It's not right, in my eyes. I'm not gay, I don't swing off that side of the plate, but I am also for equality for ALL, not just some.

If someone has a problem, that's their problem, nobody is forcing them to read the t-shirt or even look at the person wearing it.

She has a right.
Who cares if she's gay? It doesn't affect our lives one bit.

Im going to say that Dollywood did the right thing. Here's why.....If Im walking around and say "Oh I wouldnt do that, that's gay." Im going to have gay people say that its offensive to them blah blah blah. Cmon, we've all seen the commercials about using the word Gay. This is no different. A shirt saying "marriage is gay", whether its a double meaning or not, still shouldnt be allowed. Especially if you're going to bitch about straight people saying the word. Its no different then the N word and black people. Just because other races cant say it doesnt mean that an african american should run around with it plastered all over their shirt or hat.
