This was the example set by Capt. Holmes: First he fumbled on the first Jets’ possession, a ball that was picked up by Eagles defensive end Juqua Parker and returned for a touchdown. Then he let a pass deflect off his hands three minutes later, leading to an interception that four minutes later cost the Jets another seven points. Holmes, in just one quarter, almost single-handedly dug the Jets a 14-0 hole. So how did he react in the second quarter when he caught a touchdown pass to cut the Eagles’ lead to a mere 18 points? He stood in the back of the end zone, put his cleat on the football, and waved his arms like an eagle. The yellow flag was out of the referee’s pocket before he was even done flapping. When asked after the game if he knew this, Holmes made a show of leaning forward to speak directly into the microphone. “I’m a veteran,” said Holmes, who was wearing a black T-shirt with a sequined Superman logo. “I’ve been in the league for six years. Yes, I did know.” That’s the team captain, appointed by Ryan himself — a decision that quickly became an issue when the receiver ripped the offensive line after an early loss to the Ravens. LOL WHAT A CLASS ACT! Yeah cuz he is the first WR to over celebrate. It takes a real man to do it when his team is getting absolutely blown out. Then again, that sums up Rex Ryan

I really hope the Niners are eliminated in their first playoff game. I don't care how good their defense is, they are just so unwatchable on offense. I can appreciate a good defense, but Jesus at least try to complement it somehow.

I can tell you one thing, even at 10-3 if Andrew Luck fell to the Niners.
Theyd take him, Alex Smith sucks balls

I'm pretty sure a paralyzed, wheelchair-bound Peyton Manning would be better than Alex Smith. My question is why the front office seems so content with keeping him around for all these years. I thought Nate Davis showed some promise in the preseason a few years ago.

Ugh...if that is a touchdown, that may just be it for this game.

Yeah cuz he is the first WR to over celebrate. It takes a real man to do it when his team is getting absolutely blown out. Then again, that sums up Rex Ryan I didn't even think he over celebrated. It was stupid, he didn't use the ball as a prop he put it under his foot?, and he didn't go to the ground. Kind of a stupid penalty. There are guys who celebrate being down a lot more then what they were.

My opponent dropped Celek on Sunday morning for Owen Daniels, Celek dropped 21 points.
Just that stupid move put me into the finals.
I am almost glad fantasy football is over, my nerves cant take this anymore

The Falcons are still a long ways from actually contending for a championship, but the organization has grown by leaps and bounds the last 4 years. Before Mike Smith and Thomas Dmitroff got here, we had never had back to back winning seasons before, in the entire history of the team. This will be our 4th consecutive winning season, and 3rd playoff appearance in 4 years. Even though I would love more success, it's nice to know that we have a shot to win every year, and aren't a perpetual laughing stock anymore.

Definitely would not have expected that from Braylon Edwards.

I have no idea how....but I'm really gonna need you to lose this week, Tebow. Same to you, Chargers. Don't worry, we'll take care of the Raiders.

I still don't understand how the Broncos clinch the division if they beat the Bills and the Raiders lose to the Chiefs - regardless what the Chargers do this week. I can't discern what tiebreak they own over the Chargers.

I can't discern what tiebreak they own over the Chargers. They beat the Chargers in week 12. I believe that is the tiebreaker. Am I the only one that honestly sees some sense in Harrison's comments about fining the Browns for letting Colt play again?

It doesn't go by "who won head to head most recently".
