NFC East Division Champs
2002 Philadelphia Eagles 12–4–0 Lost NFC Championship Game 2003 Philadelphia Eagles 12–4–0 Lost NFC Championship Game 2004 Philadelphia Eagles 13–3–0 Lost Super Bowl XXXIX 2005 New York Giants 11–5–0 Lost NFC Wild Card Playoffs 2006 Philadelphia Eagles 10–6–0 Lost NFC Divisional Playoffs 2007* Dallas Cowboys 13–3–0 Lost NFC Divisional Playoffs 2008 New York Giants 12–4–0 Lost NFC Divisional Playoffs 2009 Dallas Cowboys 11–5–0 Lost NFC Divisional Playoffs 2010 Philadelphia Eagles 10-6-0 Lost NFC Wild Card Playoffs 2011 New York Giants 9-7-0 In Progress
* Giants somehow beat the Patriots, win SB of 2007 season _______________
It's just not that different in in terms of performance the playoffs. Just one more Super Bowl appearance.
I don't think this is necessarily the right criteria to go by anyway as I'd take the top 3 in the NFC East over the top 3 in the AFC West right now. But the NFC West doesn't get enough beef when they actually put a team with a losing record into the playoffs (for the first time in history).

I'm not only talking about the division champions. The NFC East regularly sends two or even three teams to the playoffs. Hell, like you said, one of the wild card teams even won the Super Bowl.
The NFC East is consistently good, top-to-bottom. Sure, there is sometimes a brutally bad team, but it's rare that one team completely dominates and it's rare that a mediocre team wins the division. The parity in the NFC East (well with the exception of the Redskins) is astounding, actually.
The NFC West is dog crap, too. I don't think anyone is disagreeing with that. Even still, though, the NFC West has sent at least one team to the Super Bowl in the past decade. It was kind of a miracle, but the Cardinals made it.
I don't think the NFC West is much better - or even better at all - than the AFC West. They're both terrible and clearly the worst two divisions in football.

Random question here. Favorite player that's NOT on your favorite team? I really like Eric Berry from KC. Sucks that he got injured this year, but from what I saw last year, he's going to be a playmaker for a really long time. Honorable mention goes to Jamaal Charles, very exciting player to watch.

The Seahawks went in the last decade as well, but it is still an awful division. The AFC and NFC west are current both awful divisons, and have been for a while. I think the Chargers benefitted for a long time from playing against awful Raiders and Chiefs teams, and a few awful Broncos teams. I like the Chargers, and would love to see them win a Super Bowl, but that doesn't change that they are in a bad division.

As a Bears fan, I absolutely hate that this guy is my favorite player. Loved him even when he was backing up Favre

Adrian Peterson. In my opinion, he's one of the hardest working guys in the league and I'm just mesmerized every time I watch him play.

I'm going with Tebow, but I also like Matt Ryan in Atlanta.

I wish the Steelers were playing a real team, they are so banged up anyone but Denver could very well knock them off

I wish the Steelers were playing a real team, they are so banged up anyone but Denver could very well knock them off I wouldn't even completely count out Denver. If they can run the ball and their defense can play at the level they have all year they'll be right there with Pittsburgh. btw if Kevin Smith or Maurice Morris ends up holding their dick in the endzone tomorrow against NOLA I'm done watching football forever
