I feel like I have seen this implosion before with the Jets. Oh yeah, I did. When it was Buddy Ryan coaching. I said a long time ago that he coached just like his dad did, and when they are winning, it works great, but those type of teams can't handle losing, and always end up with bickering, and finger pointing. The problem lies with Holmes' attitude. Just like other diva WRs. Throws a hissy fit on the field and makes a mountain out of a mole hill. The Jets have MAJOR problems on both sides of the ball and they arent getting any younger. Jets need a major overhaul. Sadly, hindsight being 20/20, looks like we should have kept Braylon and gotten rid of Holmes. Now I fear the market for a diva WR is VERY slim. Now accepting offers for a diva WR with a bad attitude and character issues. Anyone?

Knowing the Cowboys' history, we'd give you at least a first round pick.

I still know lots of Raven fans who argue that Rex Ryan should have been given the HC job in Baltimore, and that drives me nuts.
I'm not a John Harbaugh fan at all, but I'll take him over the loudmouth with zero hesitation.

I love how EVERYONE says "The Patriots defense sucks so bad they cant win blah blah" Who has the defense that was DEAD last in yards given up this year? Yards a game? Passing yards given up? Passing yards per game given up? Oh yeah, the Super Bowl favorite Packers. Who leads the league in INTs?

They carry to much against the cap and is all guranteed money they are getting so unless they cut them and not care about cap. I think Scott wasn't terrible this year but could of been a little better. He was 3rd on the team in tackles. To a point Holmes was right what's the point of showing up to the meeting? Guy got targeted ONCE in a game where your season was on the line. Plaxico? He had one catch. Schotty is a terrible O coordinator. He sets a game plan and sticks to it the whole game. Look at the New Englad game. He said they were going back to ground and pound. So you do it against New England's defense? EVERYONE threw on them this year, it was no secret they didn't have the secondary. Jets don't take oppurtunity. Again last week, he had his heart set on throwing on the Giants, so 70 attempts later when you were running for an avg of 4.2 yrds a carry. The Jets took NO shots down field at all, all year. NONE, that's a HUGE problem when you try to ground and pound and the whole defense can stack the box and not worry about a run. CHrist i think Pennington would be bettter off back there sometimes. Unless Sanchez had an injury the team didn't disclose or something there is no reason not to just toss the ball downfield regardless if it gets picked off or not. I think their O line needs revamping. Wayne Hunter was a great backup and nothing more. He allowed something like 26 sacks. Get him out of there. Everyone else i think is good. The Defense needs Safety help despretaly. They are terrible at safety and have been for a few years.Hopefully they can get their crap together and show up next year. I just hope LT sticks around since no one else in the locker room can step up and be a veteran leader since they were all let go last year.

I just hope LT sticks around since no one else in the locker room can step up and be a veteran leader since they were all let go last year. Scott has gotten a little worse each season. He is definitely on the decline. We will probably have to keep him as there is no market for him and as you said, cutting him isnt gonna work. Holmes was worth the 5th rounder we traded for. But as soon as things turn bad, Holmes is the first to point fingers. Reports from the Jets locker room , including LT are quoted as saying Holmes is a cancer in the locker room and has been causing problems all season long. Lets not forget that earlier this season, it was Holmes leading the rebellion of WRs against the team that ultimately got Mason traded. I think you are wrong on Plax's stats.....I think he had 3 catches. I refuse to blame Schottenheimer for all of this. The last 2 seasons, the guy has been praised up and down for how good of a O coordinator he is. Now all of a sudden he sucks. Prisoner of the moment mentality. In fact, he cant suck so bad....he is interviewing for the Jags head coaching job. I agree that they needed to air it out against NE. But they didnt. And maybe it was for a good reason. Maybe he didnt have the confidence in his QB, WRs, offensive line to make the plays necessary to go down field. Sanchez has been battling a shoulder injury for the past 3 weeks. But thats an excuse at best. Jets arent going down field cuz outside of Holmes....NO ONE CAN GO DOWN FIELD. On top of that, the O line cant hold for more than about 3 seconds, if that, forcing Sanchez to make dump off passes. The O line has to pass protect enough to allow the WRs to run their routes and give Sanchez an opportunity to make the pass. They dont. The team's needs are glaring and too many to address in the offseason. This is a 9-7 team at best. Just too many issues and too many question marks. I think they need to address the offensive line first, especially the right side. Then look at safety. The cap is not our friend right now and the holes are too big to solve. Its 8-8, 9-7 for the next couple of seasons.

I don't mean they need to go 50-60 yard passes but they had nothing over 20 yards. i think 15 was even a stretch at times. Even if only Holmes can get down there, why not take the shot? Every other team tosses one or 2 up for grabs a game why not Sanchez? I would rather see him throw a 50 yard int then a 10 yard where the guy takes it to the house. I don't see the Jets having any BIG name free agents this year so i feel pretty good about that. They need depth though at line. Mangold went out and the guy who filled in was terrible, as was Hunter. The only backup they have is Ducase and as Ray Lucas said couldn't block himself if he needed to.I feel confindent in next year especially their schedule.

Think about it...whole right side of the line, safeties, running back, defensive line, linebackers. HUGE GLARING needs.

I don't really know the line that much i know who they are just not where they stand. I think Woody covered Slauson and made him decent but nothing helps Hunter or Slauson especillay Hunters play. Running backs i don't think they need. Why not give Mcknight a starting role and see what he does? Keep LT and Greene and see what Mcknight has, wouldn't hurt plus RB is a dime a dozen. D line and Linebackers. I don't know. They need at least a pass rusher that's for sure, Robert Mathis and Abraham are both free agents i could see the Jets going after. I don't know why they drafted Kendrick Ellis since he only suited for like 2 games. Do you think they bring back Pouha? I think he is a must resign.Linebackers i don't know how much you need there. Maybin has show to be pretty good in half a season if that, Westerman can step up i think too. Tough to see what's out there. I think Safety is their biggest issue beside the O line though. Plax might return if not like you said Braylon will be begging for a home anywhere and WR usually end up a dime a dozen too.

Peyton's not going anywhere. I say he stays with the Colts for about 2-3 more seasons at most, they draft Andrew Luck and have Peyton take him under his wing, and when Peyton retires the Colts will basically be set with a new era (i.e. Favre & Rodgers) At least this, to me, would be the most logical thing to do for the Colts. Peyton is hungry to play and honestly if he comes back healthy next year, expect the Colts to be contenders once again. Doubtful. What else do they have? Wayne and Mathis are gone, their drafting has sucked. They need a total rebuild. Deal Peyton, and start with Luck and go from there. Their drafting has sucked. But I've said before, I don't think it's right to just send him on his way after making the team, not only relevant, but also a contender every year. Even if it's 50+ to have him and Luck, I'd say do it. It's just really messed up in my eyes to send him off like its nothing for a rook.

If 2009 taught me anything, if the Colts do deal Peyton elsewhere.....I'd really hate to be them the first time Peyton plays against them.

Hell...Slauson is debatable. And they have no depth whatsoever on the O line. LT is more than likely gone. Greene....I dont know. Wildly inconsistant. Sanchez needs a TRUE running game to lean on. McKnight is a great change of pace and I would like to see more of him. But every down?! NO WAY!!!! He will get killed. Abraham was injury prone his last go around and wanted WAY too many years for WAY too much money. Loved him while he was here....but that was business decision. Mathis will probably be resigned. Ellis I believe still has great potential. Dont know what happened. Pouha is a MUST bring back. He is a better than average and wont cost a lot. VALUE here. Bryalon is gonna be cheap to return. Snatching him up makes sense, but I guess that depends on Holmes. If Holmes is back, Edwards could become his cohort in poisoning the locker room.

YOU ANGELO AND YOU MARTZ!!!! YEAH BABY!!!!! DAAAAAAAAAAAAA BEARS What baffles me is that it's almost a guarantee that they'd have their jobs still if Cutler and Forte wouldn't have gotten hurt. They had to go though (and in Angelo's case, should have been gone a long time ago). After seeing some of these comments by some of the players, Martz was like barely respected by the team. It sounds like the work environment that was presented with him there was a poor one. And Angelo is possibly the worst GM in the past 10 years. Never addressed the true needs of the team (WR), and never made any big FA moves. Bittersweet about Lovie coming back, but in the end I think he deserves another chance after the hand he was dealt this year.

I'm all for Lovie coming back. Absolutely on cloud 9 about getting rid of Angelo and Martz tho. Could the Bears be looking into hiring the Polians?

I hope so. I think the Polians would work out really well. And unlike Angelo, I didn't think their firing was deserved.

Look at the Colts' recent draft history.
That's a huge reason why the Polians were fired that is not being addressed.
