How many people here think Amy Winehouse, Kurt Cobain etc deserved to die for being junkies?. Kurt Cobain is a ing icon on WFigs. We had a 20 page thread about how sad everyone was when Amy Winehouse died. Just a bunch of hypocrites. And CM Showstopper hasn't even posted here yet. Aww...how sweet. I was waiting to see how many posts before my name HAD to be introduced into it. I'm not getting into a pissing match about this anymore. There are VERY and I mean VERY few people who actually want to have intelligent discussion. 95% of haters in this thread are just trying to agitate forum members. B/c its ..... kewl.I have 2 things I would like to post. First, the article in the Fayetteville Observer was very interesting of a read. fayobserver.com/articles/2011/09/08/1121382.aspx?sac=HomeAnd I quote: "Assistant District Attorney Warren McSweeney said the raid came after employees at a Fayetteville FedEx distribution center called police about a suspicious package. The package was addressed to Hardy from a fan in Florida. It contained a Maxwell House coffee can filled with 262 prescription hydrocodone pain killers. Police resealed the package and had the pills delivered to Hardy at his home. When he accepted the package, Moore County sheriff's deputies raided the house and found other drugs, as well." So did the "fan" get busted as well? Probably not. I said I always found the whole raid idea extremely fishy and I found it even MORE after reading this. Package was suspicious? How so? Package had 262 pills in a coffee can. It was addressed, delivered and signed for by Jeff Hardy. So if I am sitting at home and FedEX delivers a package to me and I sign for it and cops raid my home, open my package and find 262 pills of pain killers.......I GOTO JAIL!?!!?!? WTF?!??! HUH!?!?! Does anyone here actually refuse FedEx deliveries from addresses you do not know? Let alone a famous person who has fans sending him fan mail all the time. Let me make it perfectly clear, before someone jumps to assumptions.....I in no way, shape or form, believe these werent his. He has serious issues with his back and a nasty case of restless leg syndrome. I actually suffer from a lot of the same things he does, but its not daily like him. Mine comes from time to time. I goto the hospital and I get a prescription for percosets and I get loaded on them. Its the only thing that remotely dulls the pain. So I think its a safe assumption, they were his and the "fan" is but a contact that could supply. But pain killers are REALLY easy to get in any wrestling locker room, including a WWE one. My second point I'd like to bring up is the people pissing and moaning about his 10 day sentence. Let me take some of the arguments that were thrown at me concerning Michael Vick, who many of you know that I despise with all my heart and hopes he dies. "Vick served his time and now leave him alone. Its done and over with. No need to rehash." So I am guessing WFigs will apply this to Jeff Hardy, right? I mean I constantly get told this and eyes roll when I bring it back up. And do I do it a lot? Oh yeah. And I am sure it gets annoying. So in 10 days....Wfigs is just going to leave Jeff Hardy alone. No need to rehash, right guys? In addition, 10 days is a VERY light sentence. Clearly, the prosecution knew they had a losing case and the defense knew they had some guilt on their hands, wanted to end this 2 year battle and took the very favorable deal. Jeff is rid of this. Jeff gets the light sentence. And the prosecution gets a win. A pathetic win, but a win. Let me take a page out of the Book of R Truth....Dont Be Booing Jeff Hardy. You Oughta Be Booing The Prosectution! [/quote] Difference between Hardy and Vick is the length of time. Jeff can hardly say he served his time... he got a slap on the wrist for petes sake.. its over and done with now though. Hopefully we wakes the up.

10 days is nothing really.. A slap on the wrist but if he s up while on probation then he will go to jail for a lot longer right? I would hope he would get his sh*t together but who knows. This should also be a wake up call for Matt Hardy..

Kurt shot himself in the face with a freaking shotgun, so yeah I blame Kurt for his death. He was a good musician who's been turned into an icon because of his death. And fortunately for him, that was his plan all alone.
And as far as, Amy Winehouse... Yeah she had a good voice, but that doesn't mean I have to turn a blind eye to her issues. I have no sympathy for someone who has it all and decides to risk it just to get high.
No matter how entertaining someone may be that shouldn't put them above the law. If Average Joe got in trouble for the same exact crime as Jeff he would be facing 3-5 years in prison & court appointed rehab. But because Jeff does a bunch of fun flips people think he should be aloud to do what he wants.
The law shouldn't play favorites and unfortunately for those who aren't on TV, it does.

10 days in jail isn't going to help Jeff at all...

To be honest, Jeff hardy isn't doing all that much different from a good part of Americans. I'm sure the percentage of Americans using, sell, and/or abusing drugs is up there. Just because he isn't serving a long time in jail, he still needs to watch his ass because if he messes up, it could be very bad.
I hope this is a change for Hardy to turn his life around and get away from the crap. He really could be even bigger in the wrestling world if he just stayed focus and clean.

All I'm going to say is that 10 days and all that probation is not going to help him in the least. Use all the irrelevant gif images you want. The fact remains that Jeff Hardy is one of the worlds most popular wrestlers. He may have turned alot of his fans against him, but he will be welcomed back with open arms. Any publicity is good publicity, even Russo knows that. The wonders of the American legal system. He got "Lohan'd"

I could care less about the drugs, getting off of 2 felonies he pled guilty to is ridiculous. For the record I hate Amy Winehouse and Kurt Cobain and its their fault they died, come at me. You mean to tell me a guy who put a gun in his mouth and pulled the trigger is responsible for his own death? Well I say horse shit!

I see what you're trying to say, but it's not cause Jeff Hardy "does a bunch of fun flips", it's because he has money. The more money you have, the better the lawyers you can get. The "better" lawyers have better relationships with the right people.

But what I meant was, certain people think just because they are a fan that athletes should be above the law. And oddly enough they are in many ways. But personally I don't care if they do fun flips, monster dunks, or if they were entertaining in Mean Girls. Our court system should treat everyone the same and more often than not they don't.

These are human affairs with a human judge and human jury.

Even if he fails a drug test and violates probation, a good enough lawyer could still get him a light sentence if any at all. Plenty of celebs violate probation and don't get hit with anything heavy for it.
