You want a struggling company, trying to take the next step to become a legit contender against WWE and have them release all brand recognition and household names b/c drug and alcohol issues. You preach b/c its easy for you to stand around and mouth off cuz its not your money on the line. Is there any reason to dignify calling me a sheep? Seriously? The biggest free thinker on WFigs is a sheep. Its like calling water dry or the sky purple with diamond polka dots. I call it....like I see it. I dont follow the masses and I dont try and fit in. If I what I say is agreed by the masses, cool. If its not, thats cool too. What exactly has brand recognition and household names like Hulk Hogan, RVD, Anderson, The Dudley Boys, Angle, Bobby Lashley, Christian Cage, Matt Hardy, AND jeff Hardy done to help TNA take the next step to become a legit contender against the WWE? There's something glaringly more problematic when you have a talent roster of that degree for the past few years and they're still, as you said a "struggling" company. TNA's continued problem is mismanagement of funds and talent, and Jeff Hardy has and will not do anything to cure that problem. Not all those names are household names. Jeff, Angle, Hogan and maybe Matt are about it off that list. What have they done? They have made money for TNA in house show ticket sales, merchandise, etc. Of course TNA isnt competiting in ratings and it seems they have some trouble in some areas with ticket sales for Impact tapings. But lets face it, it takes a LONG time to get going. You might say TNA has been going on for 10 years or whatevr, but have they really? When you make the changes TNA has in upper management and constantly change how your show is being produced, writers, the name? its going to affect your audience and make it even more difficult to develop any brand recognition. Hell, we dont know what the hell to call the damn company right now. No talent....regardless of who it is, minus maybe The Rock or Austin coming in to wrestle full time, is going to get a substantial amount of viewers to begin to tune in. But a name like Jeff Hardy can capture hundreds of folks to start watching for Jeff alone, which will cause those hundreds to a hundred to tell a thousand, etc. Mismanagement of funds and talent? Absolutely. And your right no talent is going to solve that. Until you can concentrate on creating brand recognition, developing long stories and fleshing out your characters, you will remain a glorified indy fed. But TNA HOPEs and hopes is the key word that they can grow. And they will never be able to do that without being able to bring a mix of some recognizable WWE names that can still wrestle into their fold.

And they will never be able to do that without being able to bring a mix of some recognizable WWE names that can still wrestle into their fold. Is that not what they've done? Angle/Rvd/Hardy's? And again, what has it done for them? What exactly has brand recognition and household names like Hulk Hogan, RVD, Anderson, The Dudley Boys, Angle, Bobby Lashley, Christian Cage, Matt Hardy, AND jeff Hardy done to help TNA take the next step to become a legit contender against the WWE? Jeff, Angle, Hogan and maybe Matt are about it off that list. Without mixing semantics, when we talk household names, we're talking names that wrestling fans know, that draw wrestling fans...you can include most with arguably the omission of lashley into those names. Unless your suggesting that people like RVD, Christian(during his time in TNA), etc. don't have a significant wrestling following. But a name like Jeff Hardy can capture hundreds of folks to start watching for Jeff alone, which will cause those hundreds to a hundred to tell a thousand, etc. Making money for TNA during house shows, merch sales, etc, again is not gonna cure the ails of TNA. Slap a band aid on it, sure, but not cure it. The problem with TNA is the very reason that after 10 years they aren't further along. And that's a common cop out by TNA apologist. It's inexcusable to have the talent roster they've had, the "business" experience they have/had working behind the scenes, the time, money, and support they've had for them to continue to show little to no progress. Inexusable. WWE has changed their management, styles, roster, etc in the last 10 years and hasn't missed a beat becasue they actually know what the hell they are doing. Even when ratings slipped a few years ago, they found a way to pull it back up. TNA is run by inept egomaniacs. For you to imply that Jeff Hardy could conceivably draw near the level of Rock/Austin I think is at best, a straw man argument, founded more in your perception and less on provable facts. Especially 2011 Jeff Hardy. 5 years ago? I'm with ya, but not now. However, I'll concede your prerogative to an opinion on this one. To my point, having or not having big name talent is not going to help TNA one way or another in the long run. TNA continues to make their own company look bad by not upholding wrestlers to a standard, and apparently disregarding the talent, and business as a whole for, again, their own selfish needs. If they'd take the time to run their company properly, they could afford to set a precedence. And they could start that anytime, yet they have not. Is Jeff Hardy a talent that can help TNA out? Yes. Is he a necessity? no. Is he replaceable? absolutely.
