Ignoring the diving for a second, it's completely unacceptable in my mind to complain about headshots for 10+ months and then ELBOW someone in the head...what a moron.

It just amazes me how a forecheck can be like a swarm of bees one day, then be practically non-existent the next day. This does not make me look forward to the Winter Classic, that's for sure. At least they have a chance at having a more healthy team by then.
Ugh, playing Pittsburgh is going to suck.

You guys act like no one dives. Every player's guilty of it now and again. Im not saying he's the only one, its just Crosbys are way more noticable most of the time. Like I can tell you Ozzie and Franzen have had some dives within the past couple years, it sucks, but they have.

It's funny how Pronger was out with a "Virus".
It's also funny, because I've never heard of a "virus" that requires you to have minor knee surgery...and be out for about 4 weeks....

Someone put Crosby on his ass so he doesn't get so comfortable out there.
EDIT: Ryan McDonaugh and Dan Girardi own Crosby and Malkin, <3 Callahan, Hagelin, Gaborik and Richards

The Pens are the dirtiest team in the league, wow. Their so used to lopsided calls that they think they can do whatever they want.
I haven't ever agreed with it, but I'm officially on the Gary Bettman loves the pens bandwagon. They obviously wouldn't blatantly get 4 power plays in the final 6 minutes down by 1 goal if they didn't think they'd get away with it, but the refs would have lost their jobs because the penalties were so obvious; luckily they got called, I hope Feds and Girardi are okay.
Good win boys, on to the next one..

Well it sounds like you guys hate the Pens. I'm sorry you feel that way.
Although, when the Rangers get off of this hot streak and finally come back down to earth, when that the serious lack of depth on the team, especially with the lack of depth the Rangers have in defense, especially with Staal still out, comes back and bites them, maybe you'll gain a little more of a respect for teams like the Pens, Lightning, Flyers and the Bruins who have the depth but are just a little banged up at the moment. And if not, well, I'm sure Crosby, Stamkos, Pronger and Thomas would be willing to send King Henry, Callahan, Richards and Avery a "wish you were here" card from the second round of the playoffs, depending on who bumps them.

Heres the thing, Crosby isnt a threat to New York anymore, with Richards and Gaborik it leaves him crippled, Stamkos? He is on and off, it depends on what hes "feeling like", Pronger? Really? That bitch? He sucks, plain and simple, he is also very nimble, he gets a "virus" and needs surgery. And Thomas has the same problem like Stamkos, he can be insanely good and can also be pretty damn awful. Rangers have an even team that balances out the skill, all the other teams have one star or two stars and that hurts them because those stars usually tire easy like Luongo, he hasn't started in a long time because hes tiered, Henrik is amazing and we have an absolute solid back up, Martin Biron. And take my word for it, we will make it to the Finals this year because we've finally got the perfect team. On the other hand, Penguins have no body to rely on except Crosby, Malkin, and the waste of space Fleury.

The Rangers will probably not make the finals. The Pens probably won't either if someone tries to say I'm just being a homer, but the Rangers probably won't either. If the supposed "best team" made the Cup every year, the Caps, Red Wings and Pens would have many more cups and the Canucks would have crushed Boston last year. Instead, the Pens and Wings have one a piece, the Caps flat out choke and the Canucks...well I direct you to the riots after the final game last season.
I get that having faith in your team is good and all, but to guarantee that they'll make and win the Cup, especially since we're so early on in the season, is either homerism or ignorance. And before someone (I know it's coming) says I'm just hating on the Rangers or something, I'm not. I love King Henry and Staal. I'm just saying, no one, no matter the sport should make guarantees like that, especially early on in the season.
If they do make it, good for them...you can say you saw it all along. But there are more teams in the East than the Rangers, and despite you saying the Pens, Bruins, Flyers and Lightning are essentially terrible...they're not. Just because the Rangers beat them in sixty minutes in a regular season game, that doesn't mean the Rangers will beat them in a best of seven series. That goes for any team in any sport.

Kinda disagree with both of you, LLLBD; I honestly don't believe that this Rangers team is like the old ones, who flail off in the middle of the season due to injury's because their lack of depth, we have SO much depth now, from top to bottom..we even have a reliable back-up that can shut down teams if god forbid Hank were to get hurt, we have the #1 defense in the league WITHOUT Staal, McDonaugh and Girardi have stepped up big time in his absence and when/if Staal returns what do you make out of that defense now, WITH Hank behind them? Pretty dominant if you ask me. And we have ALOT of depth in the offensive side if say Gabby or Cally (just picking those two because they have a history of injuries) were to get hurt again, guys like Richards/Hagelin, along with Mitchell that weren't here last year and have totally given our top 9 a kick in the keickster.
@longshot, come on dude..this team isn't even a cup contender in my eyes yet, they still need to make the playoffs and SHOW that they can survive the first round, which they haven't in the recent past, they still have to get better on the offensive side and find more chemistry within their core right now, and wait for a couple of guys from the minors (Kreider, Thomas, Miller) to come in and boost our forwards, hopefully sooner rather than later. Now..if we were to say, add Bobby Ryan (rumors that we may get him) Then..you could say were cup contenders, but right now we aren't even cup contenders let alone a guarantee to make the finals. We have a 4-5 year window with the guys we have now and the guys coming in, be happy that the tide has finally changed and you'll be given some good Ranger hockey for the next half decade.

To be fair, I only depise the Pens when they have Crosby playing... Im not sure if I got that point across yet but without him, I dont mind the Pens that much. When you guys beat us last year in March in the shootout, I actually had NO problem with you guys winning, at all. Now theres plenty of guys I dont like at all on Pittsburgh, like Cooke, Orpik, Cindy, and occasionally Ill hate on Kennedy. But there is plenty of guys I like from Pittsburgh like Fluery, Johnson, Staal, Sullivan. Now ill admit, I loved watching New York beat you guys tonight, but not nearly enough to flip out like longshot and #1Alex Riley fan. It was a close competitive, entertaining hockey game and definately an awesome way to spend my tuesday night. Only hing I didnt like was Crosby getting points, but I cant really do anything about that The Rangers will probably not make the finals. The Pens probably won't either if someone tries to say I'm just being a homer, but the Rangers probably won't either. If the supposed "best team" made the Cup every year, the Caps, Red Wings and Pens would have many more cups and the Canucks would have crushed Boston last year. Just because the Rangers beat them in sixty minutes in a regular season game, that doesn't mean the Rangers will beat them in a best of seven series. That goes for any team in any sport. And for this, I agree 100%. I wouldnt even say New York dominated tonights game at all. Maybe when it was 4-1 then maybe, but after Malkin scored it was all Pens. The only reason NYR won tonight was because of Lundqvist. But in order to make it out of the first round the defense needs work. Like LLLBD said, the best teams dont win the Stanley Cup. Canucks didnt beat Boston last year, and as much as LLLBD will disagree with me.... on paper Detroit was the much better team in 2009, but looked what happened, they lost... *cries in a corner*... sorry bout that, but Id be shocked if the Rangers got to the Finals. They would/will probably face Pittsburgh, Montreal, Philadelphia, Boston, Washington ad/or Tampa, and honestly I would rank all of them before New York. And even if they did make it to the Finals.. you would be facing Vancouver, or San Jose, or Detroit, or Chicago, or Los Angeles, or Nashville, and there is no guarentee you would win that one either... How about this, lets wait until late-March before guessing if your team makes the Finals? Sounds good P.s. Tebow.... YOUR GOING DOWN TOMORROW!!!!

Oh I agree R, the Red Wings were the better of the two teams the season that the Pens won the cup...but that goes to further my point. The Red Wings were the better team and lost anyways.
Plus, on top of the Big Four of the East, no one should count out the Maple Leafs, Devils and the Panthers. The Leafs are playing with a fire that I haven't seen from them in a good long while, the Devils are finally beginning to live up to their expectations, and the Panthers despite their slow start have really kicked it into gear.
The point is, it's November. No one's been eliminated yet. As far as we know, the Islanders could defeat the Coyotes to win the Stanley Cup. Until playoff time starts to roll around and teams begin really separating from the pack, it's really anyones guess. Any team can win it all. Any team can heat up at the right time, and any team can cool off at the absolute worst time. No one knows. Personally, I say just watch, wait and see instead of making guarantees when, as stated, it's still November.
