Just saw an Australian horror movie called The Babadook. Awesome movie. Just brilliantly done. I liked it too. I thought it was highly stylized and that the director had a clear vision. But it's definitely, "horror lite." It seemed more like a scary bedtime story or a campfire ghost story....to me I guess.

Any catch Digging Up the Marrow yet? It's from Adam Green (Frozen/Hatchet Trilogy). It's a fun little movie that definitely worth a watch. I actually jumped a bit at a few scenes and I rarely ever do that.

Just saw an Australian horror movie called The Babadook. Awesome movie. Just brilliantly done. I watched another Australian horror film recently called Wyrmwood: Road of death, which is more my kind of film that Babadook was which i enjoyed but isn't my fav type of the horror genre. I prefer more action.

I ended up watching Oculus a couple of weeks ago. I passed it over before because I tend to write off any new horror films. However, my finacee and her cousins wanted to watch it, so I did. I ended up enjoying it. Have you guys seen it?

Going to try to have an early, late winter, mini, pseudo Halloween.
9 days until Friday the 13th, bros.
I don't want to waste it like I did last month. Since I can't get the whole day off, I have to pick the perfect horror movie. And not Ft13th.
I have faith in me to make the right decision, but I could be open to suggestions.

I checked that "Clown" movie that was produced by Eli Roth. It was pretty good and freaked me out a little because I'm not a fan of clowns.
Later tonight, if I don't pass out after watching Archer, I plan on checking out "The Town That Dreaded Sundown" remake that was released last year.

Saw It Follows tonight. Easily my favorite horror film in years. The soundtrack, the tension, the atmosphere, just everything about it is incredible. A true love letter to '70s and '80s genre classics in the best way possible. I can't recommend it enough.

Overall, I'd say it's worth a watch on Netflix, but not really worth a full price purchase whenever it's released on DVD/bluray.

The lazarus effect, well it started off great. I really liked the concept. But the ending was just plain terrible. Script writers and directors need to realize rushing a movie or changing the script that much ruins a movie. I won't go into details but once it's been out a while, I'll revisit this and break down what I would of done differently.

Hows everyone feeling about the supposed Alien reboot? Part of me is hopeful since Ridley Scott is reportedly going to be directly involved with the project.
