Watched Halloween 5. First time in like 12 years. I was kind of in and out of it but man, I don't remember being so annoyed with Loomis. Actually the whole movie was kind of annoying.

Been watching these the last few weeks Session 9 (really creepy in a real mental hospital ), darkness falls ( stay in the light ) , Wolfman Chaney , Lady in white , Great Pumpkin , Abbott and Costello meet the Monsters , Fright night 1&2 original ( what a spooky funny horror should be ) . Phantasm love the tall man "boy!" , Silver Bullet (reverend is creepy) , Nightmare on Elm street ( 1, 2 Freddys coming for you ), Jaws , Mothman prophecies ( phone calls freaked me out), Hammer Dracula Movies with C Lee & Cushing ( underrated Dracula by Lee with great atmosphere and scenic films , Uninvited Ray Miland ( first movie that a ghost properly ) , Nosferatu 1922 my first movie I had nightmares about ) , house on haunted hill 90s version I like that Doctor , and my Favorite Kolchak the night stalker and strangler TV movies 1970s .

Is Day of the Dead good? I'm interested in watching it because I was listening to the soundtrack and the soundtrack is good.

God, Halloween 5 is pretty crappy. I still can't believe they changed the Myers house to some old Victorian-esque house and thought it was a good idea. After that suggestion, they shoulda just got rid of Girard as the director. There's too much to list about what I hate about the movie.

Bringing in Halloween with my boy Leigh Scott's "The Penny Dreadful Picture Show" -- love this one.
Hoping to go catch 'Halloween' at the theater, tonight. And local theater is finally playing 'Tusk' at Midnight. Score. Going to be a good Halloween.

Been watching Halloween all week on AMC. No matter how many times I've seen them, I still watch them on TV.

Just got back from the one-time screening of "Tusk" at the local theater...
It was wonderfully f****ed up. Beautifully shot. Some great acting in there.
Kevin Smith has balls bigger than most of Hollywood. He swung for the fences. Not sure he made it to the upper deck, but -- dude swung on it.
Damn.

Sucks that they didn't put any money into marketing it. Nobody I've talked to has heard of it. And it's considered a pretty big failure. Hopefully it finds new life and cult status on Blu-ray.

I don't see why it won't. It's a failure because people have been inundated with so much soulless sh*t, that something unique, and fun, and still full of heart comes along, and they crap on it. The dude made a movie about turning a man, into a walrus -- yet still made you feel that he put a whole lot of his heart into it. That's hard to do. I don't know if i can think of a single *name* filmmaker out there, who could do that, so well.

Too many 'quiet, quiet *BANG*' horror films are around at the moment, if you know what I mean? (eg. Annabelle etc.) Heard a lot of good things about the Babadook film, may have to catch that at some point.

Watching Compliance tonight. I'm expecting to be thoroughly horrified. Based on a true story.

Holy shit...how'd we miss Christmas!?!? That is the best ugly Christmas sweater I've ever seen. Courtesy of Fright Rags for those who are curious.

I went to see The Babadook. Decent story but I'm burned out on that subgenre of horror. If it came out 10 years ago it would be deemed a classic of it's time but it's sadly even with all it's strengths it's still one in a million supernatural/ghost stories that have come out in recent years.
In other new I read that a new Friday the 13th game is slated to come out in October wherein you can play the game as either Jason or the campers. Pretty cool!
