What a bunch of BS man. I was looking forward to this fight. Wonder if he tore something laying on someone during training.

According to Dana, it's GSP's knee. They're going to sit Condit out as GSP might be ready in a couple months.
Andddd Diaz/Penn is now the Main Event.

Great.
I think it's best not to get excited for these fights until the weigh-ins happen.

Cesar Gracie to BJ Penn: 'Don't Be Scared, Homie. Let's Make It Five Rounds'
UFC president Dana White has already stated that the new UFC 137 main event between BJ Penn and Nick Diaz will not be a five-round fight because, as he put it, "they haven't trained for five rounds."
However, Diaz's manager and trainer Cesar Gracie wants the world to know that Diaz is ready and willing to go five rounds with "The Prodigy" on Oct. 29.
"If they can't fight five rounds against each other, how are they going to fight five rounds against GSP?," Gracie said to MMAFighting.com on Tuesday.
Gracie said he told White that Diaz wanted to change the fight to a five-rounder but had yet to hear back from Penn's camp. After speaking to Gracie, both White and Penn could not be immediately reached for comment.
"Dana is good with it," he said. "We've agreed to it. If BJ agrees to it, we'll make it happen."
Gracie added that there was no hesitation on Diaz's part to agree to a five-round fight after hearing the news of GSP's injury and subsequent removal from the card.
"These guys have to prove they are ready. These guys are fighters. BJ has always said he's a warrior. ... The old school days of MMA, back when it was NHB, they fought forever.
"Don't be scared, homie. Let's make it five rounds." -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ceasar Gracie BE TROLLINNNNN'

Man, this is such disappointing news... I was really looking forward to the fight. There's still BJ/Diaz and a couple of other interesting fights, but... damn.

If the fight with Penn/Diaz is five rounds, Nick wins by finish.

And I think it's REALLY stupid to have Condit wait. If Diaz wins, give the fight back to him.

And I think it's REALLY stupid to have Condit wait. If Diaz wins, give the fight back to him. How is that fair to Condit though? He did nothing wrong unlike Diaz. Just because GSP gets hurt means he should have the title fight taken from him and given back to Diaz? Despite the fact that Diaz no showed and had the fight taken from him for disciplinary reasons.

And Diaz was punished already by being taken out of the original main event. Dana said himself that if Diaz beats Penn, he would give him a title shot. So if he beats BJ, he'll have to wait after Condit, who hasn't had good of wins as Diaz has had? Come on. Atleased make Penn/Diaz for the interim title.

I'm not sure how taking the title shot away from Condit makes sense. He's two weeks away from his title shot and Georges gets injured. He doesn't deserve to get his title shot taken away for something that was out of his control.
Winner of Diaz/Penn will just have to wait. Interim title is not needed as GSP is expected to return sooner than later.
