I agree with Batista. I think the Miz headlining Wrestlemania, or even holding a world championship is ridiculous! Hm, why is everyone poopting on the Miz, because of his size? Shawn Michaels: 6'1 225 lbs The Miz: 6'2 220 lbs. Is that there billed weight? Because if it is its fake. HBK has the look too. I see him and I say oh He can kick major Ass. I see the Miz and I say.... He's a reality star.Shawn Michaels is believable enough for you, but Miz isn't, that's ridiculous. Is that there billed weight? Because if it is its fake. HBK has the look too. I see him and I say oh He can kick major Ass. I see the Miz and I say.... He's a reality star.

Who cares what Batista thinks? Seriously. Haha as funny and as simple as that sounds, that is all it really comes down to for me.

I don't so much think that it's Miz's size that makes him look weak, but the fact that he just doesn't look tough at all. Sure, guys like HBK and CM Punk are around the same size, but there is something about them that makes them believable. I think for Shawn it was his cocky attitude combined with the back up from Kevin Nash that initially made him believable to wrestling fans. CM Punk has a martial arts background and looks like he can fight. Miz looks like some angry kid that couldn't fight his way out of a paper bag. Although, I don't think it's fair for guys like Batista to judge the current WWE product based on the Miz. There are a lot of guys out there today that are really coming into their own. If Batista followed the product a little closer he would see what is happening. As far as the PG rating is concerned, I don't see how that really makes a difference. If someone can't entertain you in a PG environment, then they can't entertain you in any other. If someone needs blood and cursing to get themselves over, then they lack the talent to really make it in the wrestling business or any other entertainment form.

Its very hard to get into the current product. If you watched back in the late 90's, im sure you agree. They've lost their formula and bore their own crowds to death now. Lol@ what they consider a good reaction nowadays

Miz just needs to go by his real name instead of "The Miz".

I think a lot of people who didn't watch the Attitude Era on this site have it down completely wrong.
It wasn't a 'garbage TV show' or, indeed, the spawn of satan. It was just a wrestling show which contained swear words and had several moments of utter stupidity and disgust that shouldn't have happened. Aside from that, according to myself and millions of other fans, it was a time where wrestlers were easy to connect to, characters were perfected, writing was good and feuds actually meant something.
So don't say 'don't comment on the product if you don't watch today' and then hypocritically return 'I didn't watch the Attitude Era but..'
Anyway, Batista is right except for the part about Miz's look. Anyone can get over provided they have mic skill and a relative degree of wrestling ability, no matter how they look.

Anyone who thinks HBK is really 225 pounds is dumb.

I just watched yet another awesome episode of Smackdown. Rating was PG, and yet, I saw extremely good storyline progression, some damn good wrestling, a bunch of good promos, and then I saw a commercial with Steve Austin saying the word 'ass'.
Sorry, Big Dave. And sorry overly nostalgic attitude era fans who make **** up to prove some inane point. WWE can still be outstanding when they book with logic and they put emphasis on the right people.

There probably wouldn't even be wrestling anymore if not for the attitude era. It was awesome and a lot more to it than cussing like you said. Also tho, why eveyone hating on Batista in WWE? I think it'd better if he came back and gave us another legit main eventer.

I've been a wrestling fan for 25 of my 27 years on this earth. I went through the late-80's, 90's, Attitude Era, the in between, and, now, the PG era.
The Attitude Era was not all that it was cracked up to be. Sure, it launched stars like Austin, Rock, and Triple H. But it also gave us a lot of other things that weren't that special.
The Oddities, and ICP The Brawl For All "Lion's Den" matches Owen Hart and Ken Shamrock wrestling in Stu Hart's basement (whether it was The Dungeon or not, it was still a basement) Bra and panty matches Barbara Bush Lo-Down (D'lo ruled. Chaz was terrible. Tiger Ali Singh was...eh) PMS and Meat
The list goes on. My opinion is this: for every Rock or Austin, you had about 10 guys on the roster who weren't that great, and couldn't draw a dime, and didn't last long.
The only good thing about the Attitude Era was Shotgun Saturday Night, which regularly gave you the best wrestling, because a lot of it was unsigned, hungry talents, and they were given a chance to shine.

Does Batista not understand that the product is declining because of the guys like him?!?! the guys who don't have the faintest clue about wrestling until they're snapped up for their physique or their 'star' status. Yeah, the Miz was in the latter category, but you know what? he actually improved. Say what you will about his name, his look, his moveset but the guy can steal the spotlight in most situations. He's a compelling character and has given us some excellent television at times.
Batista's a little crap. well, a big crap. He is truly and utterly useless. couldn't do squat in the ring and couldn't get out a damn sentence on the mic. The years he was in the company were some of the worst years I have ever watched wrestling for and whilst he's not solely accountable, the main event scene is a lot nicer since he left the picture. I hope he never comes back. Hell, I hope he DOES go to MMA so I can see him get his head kicked off.
TL;DR: I HATE BATISTA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Miz doesn't seem that small to me. I've never thought of him as small actually. Batista. I'm so glad he's gone and looks like an old alien baby now. LMFAO I agree too. ;D You are new but I already like you.

The thing that irks me, is that he's "ripping" the product and he says its not edgy anymore because of Cena and PG. Can someone please tell me what the f*** Batista ever did that was edgy or cool? WTF!? Seriously. There was that one time he had the match where weapons weren't only encouraged, they were allowed, but for f***s sake what did Batista ever do that will ever make him be remembered as a landmark superstar in the industry, not jack CRAP.

I pity any wrestling fan using the argument '____ doesn't look like he could beat someone up.' It's wrestling, not bar fighting. That poopty argument could be used for Eddie Guerrero, Chris Benoit and Shawn Michaels... SMH. Even though HBK's bark was worse than his bite, he carried himself as if he could beat someone's ass. Eddy Guerrero was ripped, Miz is not. Chris Benoit knows a lot of chokeholds.

I also think its funny that people say Miz doesn't look like he can kick anyone's ass when he could probably legit kick everybody's ass that's posted on this.

Not sure where people are pulling this "HBK was a badass" thing from. He was a great performer, but not once in his career did he maintain the image of a tough guy.
