^ Agreed.
I don't remember the Bryan/Batista match but the recent Henry/Bryan match was actually decent.
I am no fan of Henry but Bryan made me excited to watch it and even though he lost it was a good match I guess.

Can anyone post any amazing WWE match with Daniel Bryan vs. one of the bigger guys (Batista, Mark Henry, Taker, etc.)? I've seen Rey have a ton of fantastic matches with bigger guys in the past, which is why I could believe him as a champ. I don't really see DB as a champion yet, but then again, I haven't seen a lot of DB's work in the WWE. I figure I may have a change of opinion if see some of his better WWE matches... He had a match when he was on NXT against Batista that showed he can go with the bigger guys and look believable. He's also had matches with Henry on Smackdown such as the cage match where he looked believable. I don't get all of this "He's too small" crap. Daniel Bryan Height: 5'10 Weight: 210 Chris Jericho Height: 6'0 Weight: 225 Shawn Michaels Height: 6'1 Weight: 225 Bret Hart Height: 6'1 Weight: 230 Kurt Angle Height: 5'10 Weight: 230 Eddie Guerrero Height: 5'8 Weight: 225 Christian Height: 6'1 Weight: 210 Chris Benoit Height: 5'10 Weight: 220 All have been World Champions or WWE Champions and some of the best ever and yet I don't remember Batista bitching about these guys. I agree with your list and reasoning, but I'm not asking for matches where he "can go" - I already know he can have good matches in the WWE. I'm asking for awesome matches against big guys where he either wins convincingly or has us believing he's going to win... That's why I mentioned Rey. When he fights Kane or Big Show, he'll actually look like he's a competitive fighter.

But I just want to see more than "decent" and "a good match I guess". I'm not trying to slam DB, I like him a lot, and I think he's probably a better wrestler than Punk! I just haven't seen WWE matches where he looks like he should be a champion yet. I'm sure with time, he'll have those matches though...

He hasn't really been given any matches against bigger guys like Henry or Taker so you can't hold that against him. He's had a handful with Henry and that one with Batista and that's pretty much it unless you count Wade Barrett in the big guy category.

Batista is no longer relevant!

Just gonna say. I respect Batista and I respect Daniel Bryan. Batista is good for his size, wrestling needs big guys and small guys. You cant expect all the bigger guys to be technicians. Daniel Bryan is freaking amazing in the ring and I hope the WWE gives him the spotlight so he can show off his skills even more. Now that hes champ its the perfect time. I'm looking forward to his World title reign.

Bryan/Batista was good... because you actually had the feeling that he had a chance to win.
I know you're referring to "big guys", but another good match he had against a MAIN EVENTER was with Chris Jericho. Very good match.

I'm sure if it were up to him Daniel would love to get in a good 10-15 minutes of solid, convincing offense against a bigger guy like Khali or Show, the way WWE has Rey do it, but it's not his call, it's creatives call. Not to mention Rey Mysterio's ENTIRE GIMMICK is that he's the "littlest big man underdog with a huge heart" fighting off giants half the time, and has has about a decade now to develop that character and establish that reputation and credibility, meanwhile Daniel's been on the main roster....what a year and a half now? It's not a fair comparison by any means. Show me one instance where Jack Swagger's had a good match with Undertaker. I mean I'm just saying HHH has had tons of good matches with Taker but Swagger hasn't. Totally different characters, booking styles, and credibility.

Way to miss out the rest of what he said: "man did that comment bring the tough guy haters out. well i'm at Gracie Fighter Tampa daily. 6333 s. dale mabry hwy Tampa FL. stop on by" "so to clear up any misunderstanding about me hating on Daniel Bryan...actually i've been a supporter of his for years, unlike most of you Johnny come lately smart mark supporters. we actually had a hell of a match together that was originally supposed to be a squash match until this old broken down ex bodybuilder who never deserved to be champion and only had it handed to me because HHH was my boy...refused to job the kid out because i knew how good he was and wanted to have a ing match with him before i left the company. and a hell of a match we had considering where our respective places in the company were at the time. so yes im aware of all of his accomplishments and hard work through out the years and i'm thrilled to death for him....but still...World Heavyweight champ???ummmmmmm...ok. opinions are like bungholes. my Twitter account,my opinion. and to all the bitch ass haters who just dogged me out and bitched about how horrible i was.....i've worked with HHH, the Undertaker,Rey Mysterio,Randy Orton Stone Cold,Edge,John Cena,Chris Benoit,Ric ing Flair!!etc.etc.. and they all respected me and my work. Eddie Guerrero respected my work. so don't expect your little bullpoop remarks to actually carry any weight. in your bitch ass faces!!" i was at first annoyed reading this, then realized he was someone's dad and lol'd.

I don't understand why I can't compare Rey or Bryan when it comes to believable champions. You are correct - they've been booked differently - which exactly supports my point. I don't buy Bryan as a champ yet due to the combination of booking and establishment. And I don't know what Swagger has to do with my point, since I never bought him as a champ then, and even less now...

And I don't know what Swagger has to do with my point, since I never bought him as a champ then, and even less now... Because you're asking for matches showing Daniel Bryan, who's still pretty much green in the WWE giving strong performances against guys like Big Show, who we both know WWE books to look like a monster. It's not a fair comparison. Rey Mysterio is an extremely over WWE veteran/legend at this point, of course he's gonna have strong showings against big guys and other guys who are established veteran/legends, like Show and Henry. When do you ever see guys like Show in trouble unless they're fighting a someone like Cena, HHH, Taker, or another big guy? I get you're saying that they're both little guys and all, but on the same hand, back to my example, HHH and Swagger are both big, stocky guys, yet Taker would probably kill Swagger in 5 minutes, but get his ass stomped for 25 by HHH, and win or lose by a hair. It's WWE fault for not building him up credibly or maintaining any credibility with them. They've done this with every other MITB winner(Edge, Punk, Swagger, Del Rio, Bryan). You can't just pull someone from a mid-card slump, hand them a briefcase, then slap a world title on them and expect them to look credible standing next to an Orton, Cena, or (current) Punk.

Pretty much, yeah. lol I just don't think it's fair though to discredit Bryan by comparing him to Mysterio. There are tons of other fumbles with the way he has been booked/made to look to discredit him with.

Just to clarify, the reason why I say the match was just decent and a good match I guess is because Mark Henry was in the match. I just never liked him and most matches he is in I could care less and feel bored. Bryan on the other hand actually entertains me so his part of the match was great but Henry just didn't pass for me..

WWE crapped away a chance to create another moment like Christian had earlier this year, or a moment like WrestleMania 20 (hopefully Bryan doesn't kill his family).
Also wtf is with the bald bearded look?
