Power Slam magazine recently confirmed in their latest issue that RVD is seriously considering returning to the organization once his contract with TNA Wrestling expires. The magazine adds that WWE has mutual feelings about the return "Mr. Monday Night."
"RVD from what we're told would receive a warm welcome in WWE," the magazine says.
Providing that no contract extension has been reached since his arrival to TNA Wrestling in March 2010, it would appear that Van Dam will be a free agent in the near future. It was reported in 2010 that RVD had signed a two-year contract with TNA.
During his hiatus from full-time wrestling, Van Dam said he would consider returning to WWE if and when he felt ready.
"One thing that's for sure is that WWE and I do have a good-faith understanding that if and when I'm ready to return that I’ll be talking to them. They look forward and hope that we'll be doing business again," he told the Baltimore Sun during an interview.
Van Dam, turned 41 years old last month, performed for WWE from 2001 to 2007. He would join the list of Booker T, Kevin Nash, Christian and Mick Foley, who all were established names in WWE who ventured to TNA and have since came back to WWE.

I would be all for a return of RVD.He could help in terms of star power and adding another true main eventer.Plus even being 41 years old he can still put on pretty good match(not old school late 90's RVD stuff but better then most) and can help get the younger talent over like Miz,Ziggler,Rhodes,Barrett....ect

Hell yeah! I'd be all for it. He's had a sort of lackluster run in TNA so I'd hope for him to come back.

Would love to have RVD back. He's one of my favorite wrestlers of all-time and could still, at 41, wrestle better matches than most guys in the company. RVD vs. Punk would be great, hell he could even work a good match with Cena I'm sure.

I haven't seen the Five Star in so long.
I need to see it in a WWE ring again.

Can't say I would mind. I'd love to see Rob Van Dam VS CM Punk in a WWE ring but I don't think he'd last very long with WWE's current wellness policies....

Yes Please! One of my top 3 of all time. I don't like him toiling away in TNA.

I'd love it. His TNA run started out pretty good but now it's just ing garbage. Hope he doesn't it up though it he does end up returning.

Ordinarily I'm one of the posters around here who tries to fight against the idea that a legend who was criticised in TNA being celebrated in WWE when they're the same guy in both organisations.
But in this case I have to say that an RVD return to WWE would potentially be much more gratifying for him and the fans than his run thus far in TNA.
I'd love to see him against a lot of the young talent they have there now and he's not the kind of oldie who would want a title run or anything like that, I'm sure he'd do a great job of putting people over.
His run in TNA has been very anti climactic when you consider how much we all wanted to see him there in the build up.

WWE's Wellness Policy does NOT call for a suspension for Marijuana use. They only find the invidual rather than suspend them. Long as RVD keeps paying the fine, which he would be making more than enough money to do so, then there won't be any problems.

Not a chance he'll stop smoking weed, but if he wants to keep having fines fair enough. I for one, love the guy and would love to see him back in the ring as TNA pains me to watch.

I remember reading about guys who have had their push squashed because of it. Not to mention, pot was the reason he had his monster push in 2006 completely killed.

WWE already knows this is a factor when it comes to Van Dam. Besides, it's just Pot. I'd much rather a wrestler smoke a natural plant than take synthetic heroin(Oxycodone) for being in pain.
