Ever since I've been of legal voting age, I've held firm to the belief that as an undeclared voter, I choose a party in each primary that boasts a candidate that I see fit to run this country. I know the system is devised to vote for someone who can beat the "other guy", but that's not how I see it, and I'm a firm believer in voting by what's right for you, not what's going to achieve the ends of whatever agenda you might support over the person. It's because of this belief, and only this belief, that I will be voting in the general election this November. Without explicitly stating who I will be voting for, I can say that, given the current system, my vote, which will not be for Barack Obama, Mitt Romney, Gary Johnson, or Ron Paul, will not count in any way, shape or form, but I'll have done right by me, and that's all that matters. If the rest of America was this smart, we wouldn't be in the disaster we are today. Kudos to you.

Ugh. The Republican Party is getting more pathetic and desperate by the day. Grover Norquist said that if President Obama wins re-election and does not re-authorize the Bush-era tax cuts for millionaires, the Senate will have enough votes and the Republicans will impeach in 2014. Republicans continue to sink to lower tactics every day.

Well the same article mentioned when President Clinton won in 1996, that's when the Republicans brought forth the Lewinsky scandal. So it would not surprise me if they, at least, tried.

Plus it's funny that you want to say the republican party is getting more pathetic and desperate by the day, yet fail to mention that the Democratic party is doing the same thing lol. Two party system is for close-minded, brainwashed fools.

Love how lots of Americans seem to think the counry is terrible and everything is going to sh*t when in reality its probably one of the best countries in the world. Get some perspective. The Great Depression happened overnight and turned what was one of the most powerful nations in the world into a poverty-filled wasteland with incredible unemployment. The intelligent people in this country are attempting to prevent that from happening again. If it does happen again, it will be worse than it was in the 1930's as people now are significantly more dependent on the government which would come to a screeching halt because people are would no longer able to even pay the taxes we currently do. This isn't about "perspective," it's about foresight. We don't WANT to be a third world country. We will be if this crap continues.

Two party system is for close-minded, brainwashed fools. If the two parties can't even put out quality candidates, why would a third or fourth party be able to? I'm all for more options but people seem like they are going to complain no matter what. America seems to be divided in half. It seems like we have really made no progress in figuring out what works and makes the people happy in over 200 years of US government. People who crap on all politicians and all Democrats and Republicans piss me off, though. Obama is a good guy who tries to help. I think Mitt Romney is a jerk but I still think he wouldn't drive our country into the ground. It's easy to blame these politicians when the problem is bigger than them (and most of the time it comes down to money and greed - everybody wants more - how do we fix that?)

We fix it by not supporting people who are bought off by massive corporations and banks.

Yes but it is complete bullcrap that Johnson is excluded. Isn't he polling like single digits everywhere? Where do you draw the line? Double digits in Ohio and New Mexico. But that's if they even include him in the polls which they are not that willing to do. There should have been 4 candidates on stage tonight. Mitt Romney, Barack Obama, Gary Johnson and Jill Stein.

I'm a big Obama supporter, but he absolutely got his clock cleaned tonight. Cleaned with lies, pure and simple. And just wait, there are 2 more debates that will be President Obama Vs. Robmoney. Those that think Robmoney won tonight won't know what hits them in the other 2.
