Care to reiterate? Not like it matters because we beat everybody in our way in the playoffs, and in the regular season we avenged every loss and the ones we didn't were stinker type games (Seattle, Redskins). Who matches up better with us? Houston, Baltimore, Pittsburgh? Because other than them we either A) Beat any other team, B) You would agree all the meddling teams don't match up with us, and C) We beat almost every good team in the NFC this year other than New Orleans (As stated). YOU LOST SEVEN ING GAMES. OFF KID. Enjoy your Super Bowl win. You don't have to act like a goddamn moron at all times. You're so cool swearing and all..did I not say we either avenged our losses or split between the teams we lost too (SF, GB, PHI), and let in an absolute stinker against the Hawks and the Redskins? Again..just match teams up and see who's the best, the only reason I brought up match-ups was because somebody was trying to say the Giants weren't the flat out best team in the league on paper (Like that even matters, the best team on paper barely ever wins the Super Bowl), therefore they did not deserve to win the Super Bowl (check back earlier too see who I quoted) On paper, the Saints are the only team who were flat out better than us this year I believe.. And believe me, I'm enjoying this Super Bowl.

Didn't the Packers lose 6 games last year, get hot (getting hot means figuring out a mojo, players now learn what works for them and coaches call the right calls, ending up figuring out the best way to use your players), and win the Super Bowl? Then the next season did they not go 15-1?
Didn't the Giants win the Super Bowl in 08 with 6 losses and go on to be 11-1 before Plaxico shot himself?

can the season start first? apparently not. I really thought everyone did well in giving the Giants their due when they won. You know cause they deserve it and that we might actually avoid any arguments but apparently that's too much to ask.

I have always tried to be gracious in winning, and losing. Granted, my teams don't win that often, so maybe that gives me perspective, but still.

I knew there would be an argument from this kid in the thread tonight.
The Giants, even though they won the Super Bowl, were not the best team this year. But that's not an insult, it usually goes that way. In every sport. Vancouver was the best in the NHL, GB was the best in the NFL, and so on. It all comes down to teams that get hot at the right time. That is exactly what the Giants did.
But acting like the Giants were just so incredible the whole season is ridiculous. They went 9-7, they weren't in the playoffs until the last day. They lost to Seattle, to Washington twice, and almost to Arizona.
Congratulations on your team's championship, just take the win and stop...

That was the expression from the entire region of New England last night, just not the defense

I suppose 4 words sum up the reason why New England lost, and the Giants won. Catch the ing ball.

Best team in football, right now is the New York Football Giants. Even though this Riley kid is begging for us to hate the Giants, you can't make a dumb comment like that. Best team wins it all, that's how it goes.

I meant that in the sense that when the playoffs began, they weren't the best team. The Phillies were the best in the MLB, the Canucks were the best in the NHL, and the Packers were the best in the NFL. But they couldn't capitalize on their chances in the playoffs, and didn't win the championship.
Riley fan is making the Giants seem like they were the best team the whole entire season, which they were not. But they got hot at the right team and defeated the best in the league to become the best themselves.
I wasn't saying the Giants aren't the best, I'm saying they weren't always the best...

Not to defend or attack him, but I think he would have been better off saying the Giants were the most balanced team this year on both sides of the ball. That statement I can see being true because (putting stats to the side and actually watching the games) they have a good run and pass offense and a good defense, whereas other teams have good passing poor running, good running poor passing or a good offense and a bad defense. To say "nobody matches up with us" was just incorrect usage of a sentence.
Now, when can we get the offseason thread goin?

Patriots 3 needs this offseason/draft: 1. ing cornerbacks, when both your cornerbacks in the Super Bowl were working at Stop and Shop last October, you have ing problems. 2. A WR to stretch the field, Branch and Ocho are nice WR....in 2002. If they stick around they are 4-5 WR 3. Pass rushers, even though they got SO much better as the year went on, another stud lineman/lb would really put the defense back in the right direction

That, and most of their wins in the regular seasons were by like 3 or 4 points lol. So yea alot of teams matched up well against them, they just found ways to win. I will say though, that starting with the Jets game, they just started raping everyone (Besides the 49ers and Pats, those were both great games.)
