From what I've read, games only work on the 3DS they are downloaded on. You can't just take the file and throw it on a different DS. I've also realized that odds are since I've already used the one time use game code (Mario Kart packed with the system) the store probably won't take it back. Every downloaded title I've swapped over to a new 3DS works just fine.

Is that via system transfer? Because I'm talking just straight switching the cards without doing a system transfer, because the original system wouldn't be present (returned or traded in)

Nintendo are dicks when it comes to getting your stuff back after you sell a system and buy a new one.

So they pretty much scammed people who bought a 3ds during the holiday by releasing the new one next month. Good job nintendo. People knew it was coming and many assumed it was soon, if you bought one during the holiday season you really have no one to blame but yourself. I've had the same 3DS since shortly after it launched (Ambassador program FTW) so I think it's about time to upgrade for me. Majora's Mask on launch makes it a lock. The general public who buys a 3ds for their kids or loved ones don't know whether a new one is coming out or not.

If they waited this long to buy their kid a 3DS over this last holiday season then they'd be waiting about another year at least to buy the new one for their kid

I still have my 3DS I got during the Ambassador program... Really have never had a reason to upgrade honestly and don't get the hype (no offense). If they ever make a game I want that I can't play without it, maybe I'll upgrade... But at this point I'm assuming the next handheld I buy is whatever is next in line after the 3DS.

Playing Ocarina of Time for the N64 for the first time. Very fun. One of the greatest ever. I'll never forget my first experience of that game. I thought LTTP was as good as it got but then that masterpiece came along and kicked my ass.

Man, the 3DS is like the inverse Vita. With the Vita there's so few games that I don't know what to play. With the 3DS I don't know where to start. I'm debating between Shin Megami Tensei IV, Fire Emblem or Monster Hunter 4. I also still need to finish Pokemon OR. .

So I was super-late to the party, and had never known the PIN #s inside of games meant a thing until about a week ago. I had assumed you had to be a Club Nintendo Ambassador, or something. Little did I know, but after entering almost or nearly all of my PIN#s sitting in my game's boxes, I had enough to nab a ton of free stuff within 2 hours-- both March of the Mini DK/Mario games, Mario Party 2, SMB 2: 6 Golden Coins, and then The Wonderful 101 for 600pts, but it retails new anywhere from $30-49 so I thought that was a nice get.
Anyway, I love the program and plan to use anything I can before this ends (sad face). I have other games I want to download for free, and right now I have about 20-30 surveys to take worth 10pts a piece which I'll grind through eventually. But I have one problem and hopefully someone will know what I'm doing wrong or have an answer to my Q?...
It says outright on the list of what is redeemable which games, when downloaded, are worth Nintendo points (and it says how many, too). I could link to this if needed but I'm sure you guys know what I'm talking about. Anyway, I have a lot of these games downloaded to my 3DS, which I have entered the pin/registered already. I have no idea how to access the points, though. Or if there are PIN #s stored in some part of my system? I just know with this ending soon, I want to honor all of the points I've accumulated, and I have some full-game downloads i.e. SSB that are worth 60pts. I'm hoping to nab some more free games before this thing is up... but how can I redeem points for my downloaded/e-content games? I looked on google and nintnedo help areas, but nothing firm or helpful in explaining came my way. Thanks in advance to anybody with some knowledge in this.

Is a 3DS worth it? I'm a big Zelda fan now, so how many titles does it have?

Also, best Zelda game besides A Link to the Past, Ocarina, and Majora's Mask?

Also, best Zelda game besides A Link to the Past, Ocarina, and Majora's Mask? My highly controversial Zelda ranking: A Link to the Past Phantom Hourglass Legend of Zelda (NES) Wind Waker Link Between Worlds Spirit Tracks Link's Awakening Four Swords Adventures Ocarina of Time Adventure of Link Never played Majora's Mask or either Oracle game. Twilight Princess didn't hold my interest, so I didn't even try Skyward Sword. I am intrigued by the new one.

Also, best Zelda game besides A Link to the Past, Ocarina, and Majora's Mask? 3DS is by far the best console on the market. The library of games is absolutely outstanding. - Star Fox - Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D - New Super Mario Bros. 2 - Mario Kart 7 - Smash Bros. - Rayman 3D (is a port of Rayman 2) - Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon - Rayman Origins - Majora's Mask - Ocarina Of Time - A Link Between Worlds - Super Paper Mario - Mario Golf - Resident Evil: Mercenaries - Resident Evil: Revelations - Pokemon X/Y - Pokemon OR/AS - Fire Emblem Awakening - Super Mario 3D Land - Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy - Phoenix Wright vs. Professor Layton - Phoenix Wright Duel Destinies - Professor Layton and the Miracle Mask - Pokemon Shuffle (which is free!) Haven't played but have heard great things: - Kid Icarus: Uprising - Bravely Default - Tomodachi Life - Shin Megami Tensei IV - Fantasy Life - Monster Hunter (I think there are a few) - Shovel Knight - Animal Crossing: New Leaf - Mario & Luigi Dream Team - Shantae and the Pirate's Curse - Yoshi's Island - Kirby Triple Deluxe - Kingdom Hearts 3D - Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Coming out soon: Xenoblade Chronicles Codename Steam Fire Emblem Awakening Sequel Mario vs. Donkey Kong Bravely Second As far as Zelda games go, some of my favorites are (besides the ones you mentioned) Minish Cap and Wind Waker. But you can't go wrong with any Zelda game.
