When Mattel announced that Vickie Guerrero would be super limited to one in every other case, everyone here groaned that it would be impossible to find without paying a high premium to scalpers or RSC. Now, a month after the series has hit retail, I've walked by Vickie warming the shelves at several stores, including 2 right out in front today at Wal-Mart. A quick scan of Amazon and eBay reveals that the figure is selling for just barely above retail. So it anyone finally willing to admitthat Mattel was right by short packing her? Imagine if she was one per case, or worse, two, we'd be swimming in Vickie figures that wouldn't sell in a hundred years. I know you guys want your Diva figures, but this is why they are so few and far in between, they don't sell.

I don't think it's because it's a Diva. I think it's because it's Vickie. She is an old lady and a heel.

I think it depends on the area in most areas Vickie is the first to sell out. That's what happened with a bunch of figures from Mattel that were short-packed in some areas they shelf warm in other areas there hot sellers.

That's what happened with a bunch of figures from Mattel that were short-packed in some areas they shelf warm in other areas there hot sellers. I think that's just because the scalpers and collectors buy the shortpacked first. But once the few collectors in the area get them they end up becoming pegwarmers when stores get another shipment. (E8 Regal & E7 HD comes to mind)

Yeah its funny at my small walmart when I am waiting on a wave I Buy the whole initail fist wave that hits the store. so they look at the ordering and say wow these things flew off the shelf Lets Order 100 more!!! when in reality me and one other casual collector buy the first ones on the shelf but after that they just sit there. In a way is kind of a win lose if they dont sell I can get them at clearence, but then that means it was cancled or not a reorder.

I haven't seen her at all around me. In fact I've only seen Basic 13 at one Walmart out of the five that are close by.

Never seen her in retail, still. I did get her for $12 on eBay. $2 over retail so not too bad. I think overall, she will still be slightly more valued than the average release.

I've seen her once at Wal-Mart, and there were two of her there. I got them both, one to open and one for MOC. It really jsut depends on your area.

i just picked up vickie on thursday at the walmart in green acres, long island by me. totally for got she was short packed, as i found two full sets on the shelves and picked up the only vickie.
thought i was lucky to get one of the, what i assumed was 2 vickies. now that im reminded she was short packed, im really glad i chose to stop by the toy isle.
i can't say if i think mattel was right, since none of the figures from that set have become peg warmers yet. but i think divas can sell, but vickie may not since she's a heel and what kid wants to buy a figure of an "ugly" woman?

Basic 13 Vickie Guerrero Trivia
*Vickie is the FIRST and ONLY manager produced by Mattel so far.
*Vickie is the only diva figure so far to be wearing street clothes instead of wrestling gear.
*Vickie is the only diva produced by Mattel so far to NOT have a reign as either the Divas Champion or Women's Champion.
*in my approximation, Vickie is also showing the LEAST SKIN of any diva figure produced so far.
I think the lack of sales has much more to do with who she is and what her character is than just being a diva. They made the right call.

I've only seen her once at K-Mart. I've seen a few Zekes here and there. But JoMo and R-Truth look like they will be warming the pegs for months to come. I don't think Mattel was "right" at all. She should have been one per case. Supply should meet the demand. The demand for a repainted JoMo is not four times the demand for Vickie.

Divas fall into the same line as Legends. They're not wanted by the casual collector. Its mostly a nitch market that buys them

I think Kelly Kelly has much more selling power than Dusty Rhodes, and that's why Dusty is shelf warming at Big Lots and Kelly is going for $50+ on Ebay.
