September 17th, 2014 | Episode 023 | "Bank of England" JINDER MAHAL INTRODUCES NXT'S NEXT DESTRUCTIVE FORCE: Kicking off NXT was Jinder Mahal, who was accompanied to the ring by the two monstrous men who dismantled NXT Tag Team Champions Ricochet and Uhaa Nation a few weeks ago. Mahal said that while he's on the shelf because of what Ricochet and Uhaa did to him in Madison Square Garden, 'The Modern Day Maharaja' wasn't going to just sit back and watch the two claim the NXT tag team division without paying the consequences. That's why he went out and found the two biggest, baddest men he could that are more than willing to destroy Ricochet and Uhaa on his behalf. He introduced Akam and Rezar to the NXT Universe, and vowed that sooner than later, Ricochet and Uhaa will be forced to hand over the NXT Tag Team Championships on a silver platter to The Authors of Pain.
1) NXT WOMEN'S CHAMPION EMBER MOON DEF. BIANCA BELAIR IN A NON-TITLE MATCH via The Eclipse. Bianca, a participant in the Queen of the Ring tournament, made her debut on NXT, but fell victim to Ember's Eclipse. 'The War Goddess' stood tall post-match with the NXT Women's Championship, but this very well could be the final time Full Sail University sees her with the gold as she defends it in less than two weeks at Unison against Nicole Matthews in a Steel Cage Match.
WILL NXT ENTER THE VELVETEEN DREAM EXPERIENCE AT UNISON?: Last week, The Velveteen Dream overcame 14 other NXT superstars to earn an NXT Championship opportunity against Bobby Roode at Unison. In a pre-recorded interview, Dream - who was surrounded by purple fog for some reason - said that Roode only has the NXT Title in the first place because he had to go through Kota Ibushi in Madison Square Garden. "If Bobby Roode faced off against a different opponent, someone like myself... I have my doubts about whether or NXT would currently be, as he puts it, 'Glorious'. See, The Dream made his way to NXT with the promise that Famous B would help make him famous, but NXT is in a different landscape now than it was three months ago. Nobody can make The Velveteen Dream famous anymore because The Velveteen Dream is the one who makes other superstars famous now. And Bobby, inside Dario Cueto's Temple at Unison, The Dream guarantees that he'll make you more famous than you've ever been before when his foot is standing atop of your pec and he's holding up the NXT Championship, welcoming all of NXT into The Velveteen Dream Experience. Get ready, Bobby, because in 11 days in Los Angeles... it's dream over."
2) KOTA IBUSHI DEF. TONY NESE via the Golden Star Powerbomb. Just 11 days away from having to face Kenny Omega, the man who betrayed him at TakeOver: MSG, Ibushi opted to have a warm up contest against Nese, who was returning to Full Sail after his stint in the Cruiserweight Classic. Despite Nese's impressive outing, Ibushi was able to best him and pick up the momentum that he needs before he stands across the ring from his former Golden Lover teammate at Unison.
BOBBY ROODE VOWS TO KEEP NXT 'GLORIOUS': In another pre-recorded interview, NXT Champion Bobby Roode responded to The Velveteen Dream's claim that if they faced off in Madison Square Garden, he wouldn't have become NXT Champion. "... Who the hell is The Velveteen Dream? How old is he? Like, 17? Am I even legally allowed to beat him? Who let this Prince knockoff into MY NXT?! Let me reiterate that. MY NXT. The second I signed my contract at Money in the Bank, this place become mine. I called my shot and said I'd become the NXT Champion at TakeOver: MSG, and guess what? I did just that. I've competed against the very best wrestlers that this industry has to offer. AJ Styles, Kurt Angle, Samoa Joe, Cody Rhodes, CM Punk, Derrick Bateman, Paige, John Cena, The Undertaker, and I can keep going on and on naming off a list of superstars who have had the unfortunate duty of standing across the ring from me. What makes The Velveteen Dream think he's any different than those before him? What did he call it, The Velveteen Dream Experience? There's your answer as to why I'm going to beat him at Unison: experience. Velveteen Dream is not in my league, and quite frankly, I'm embarrassed to even be on the same promotional material as him. This event is a waste of my time. This match is a waste of my time. And you know what else is a waste of my time? This interview. We're done here."
3) TONI STORM DEF. ZACK SABRE JR. VIA DISQUALIFICATION after Sabre threw a steel chair at Toni's face. Prior to the start of the contest, Sabre cut a promo explaining his actions at TakeOver: MSG against his fellow UK talent. He didn't take kindly to the fact that he was taken out of the Cruiserweight Classic and had to watch Pete Dunne, Marty Scurll, Will Ospreay and Mark Haskins take the glory for themselves. Then, when he was finally cleared and made his way to NXT, it's like all eyes were off of him because Toni Storm became the talk of the industry as far as UK talent goes. When he saw his opening at TakeOver to strike everyone who's tried to take everything away from him, he struck and he'll continue to strike until Unison when his hand is raised high as the first-ever WWE United Kingdom Champion. Toni interrupted Sabre to begin their contest, coming close on several occasions to defeating him. Sabre finally had enough and tossed a chair at the face of Toni, getting himself disqualified. After the match, Sabre continued to beat down Toni until Dunne made the save, 'The Bruiserweight' exchanging strikes with Sabre. Scurll would then get involved, followed by Haskins as the brawl with the UK stars spilled to the outside. That was when Ospreay finally stepped in, 'The Aerial Assassin' leaping off the top rope with a Moonsault onto everyone! All six participants in the Ladder Match at Unison were laid out at ringside as Tom Phillips begged the question on commentary, "Who will become the first-ever WWE United Kingdom Champion at Unison?!"
NXT TAKEOVER: DALLAS TAKES SHAPE IN A BIG WAY: In their office, NXT Commissioner William Regal and General Manager Portia Perez put over the importance of Unison to the future of the brand, but reminded everyone that it's technically not their show. "Dario Cueto is promoting Unison and we're thankful that he's decided to showcase NXT on his own stage, but we're looking ahead to NXT's next big stage, that being TakeOver: Dallas on Survivor Series weekend," Portia stated. Regal then announced that for the first time ever, the Elimination Chamber will be coming to NXT. Six superstars will be locked inside the structure at TakeOver: Dallas, and only one will walk out with the NXT Championship. "Unison will have major implications on Dallas because we are pleased to announce that we're raising the stakes in the match-up between Kenny Omega and Kota Ibushi. Their encounter will be a qualifying mach for the Elimination Chamber at TakeOver."

September 18th, 2014 | Episode 023 | "The Assassins" PAIGE DOESN'T CARE TO RECEIVE ANSWERS FROM SHANE MCMAHON: When SmackDown Live went on the air, footage from earlier in the day at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum when WWE Champion Paige walked into the arena, several workers and roster members stopping once they saw her. Tensions were high with Paige and management after she posted an explicit tirade onto the social media, and everyone knew that. Paige was then confronted by SmackDown Commissioner Shane McMahon, who followed Paige until she finally stopped and asked him what he wanted. "... That's it? What do I want? I hand down your suspension earlier today... and you don't even care to know why?" Shane asked, Paige saying that she didn't need nor want any answers because she has all of them already. "My problem isn't with you, Shane. I know that you're doing your job and trying to act corporate to please sponsors and all that stuff. My problem is with Allie, The Bella Twins and everyone else who thinks that they have control over how I'm supposed to feel and what I'm supposed to say." Paige told Shane that once the contract signing with Allie tonight is over, she'll gladly leave the arena. "Because by that point, I'll have beaten Allie to a bloody pulp and then I'll spend my suspension traveling every inch of this Goddamn world for any trace of those Bella bitches," Paige, censors trying to catch her words.
THE OLD DEAN AMBROSE IS BACK: In the arena, Dean Ambrose's entrance music sounded as he and Solomon Crowe headed down to the ring, the WWE Universe still not certain how to react to 'The Lunatic Fringe' and his newfound behavior since returning to SmackDown Live last week. Ambrose took a microphone and asked if anyone missed him. When some responded positively, Ambrose lashed out and said that it wasn't possible for anyone to miss him becuse the WWE Universe has never gotten to know the true Dean Ambrose. "Yeah, I like to have fun sometimes. That's a genuine part of who I am, but something that I love more than cracking jokes is cracking skulls and it's felt like this year, I lost sight of that. Last year at Survivor Series, I beat 11 other WWE superstars to win the first-ever Manifest Destiny. After that... what happened? My title match at the Royal Rumble became a Triple Threat and I took that as being good enough for me. I was the first match at WrestleMania when I should have been in the main event. I was out of the WWE Championship tournament at Backlash in the first round. Money in the Bank? I was practically an afterthought by that point. While people like Paige, Catch Point, The Iconic Duo, Cody Rhodes, Sami Zayn and Becky Lynch have all risen to the occasion on SmackDown Live, was there no chance but for all of you to leave me behind?!" Ambrose went on to say that because he was so blind to what was going on, things would have continued to go south for him had it not been for the one man in WWE who knew exactly what he was truly capable of. "Solomon Crowe... by brother in combat. You were there from the start when I was nothing. Back when we were just some boys on the indies, scratching and clawing our ways to the top while leaving scratch and claw marks all over our bodies. We look like we've been through Hell because we have, and you're the only person who was capable of reminding me exactly who Dean Ambrose is." Ambrose stated that if he only barely beat 11 superstars in Manifest Destiny last year, what chance did he stand against 23 this year if he didn't change something? "Solomon... I thank you for reassuring me that I'm the toughest S.O.B. that SmackDown Live has ever seen... and that's the end of your purpose," Ambrose said before kicking Crowe in the mid-section and delivering Dirty Deeds! Ambrose stood up and glanced down at the fallen Crowe, showing the world that the 'old' Dean Ambrose has no allies. He's simply a loner who is looking to reach the main event echelon that he's been on the cusp of ever since he arrived in WWE.
1) MATT RIDDLE & REY MYSTERIO DEF. INTERCONTINENTAL CHAMPION SAMOA JOE & ANDRADE 'CIEN ' ALMAS via a Splash onto Almas. In a Tag Team bout featuring four superstars who will endure SmackDown Live's Block in Manifest Destiny, Riddle was able to take Joe out of the equation after a Senton off the ring apron. Back in the ring, Mysterio was able to counter Almas' Torture Rack into a 619, this time on the opposite side of the ring from Zelina Vega to prevent interference like we saw at Unforgiven. Mysterio connected with the Splash from the top rope to get a measure of revenge against Almas and even the score heading into Manifest Destiny.
JOHNNY GARGANO QUESTIONS HIS MANIFEST DESTINY ENTRY: Backstage in Shane McMahon's office, Johnny Gargano walked in, the former Cruiserweight Champion asking the Commissioner why he's in Manifest Destiny. The confused Shane reminded Gargano about his run in the Cruiserweight Classic and everything he's accomplished on SmackDown Live thus far in his tenure. "Okay, I get all of that, but... look at who else is in this tournament. Some of the most decorated superstars in WWE history, and I couldn't even retain the Cruiserweight Championship at Unforgiven. Do you honestly think that I deserve to be in Manifest Destiny?" Gargano asked before the new Cruiserweight Champion John Morrison walked in, stating that he had the came question. How come 'Johnny Wrestling' gets to be in Manifest Destiny when he, the man who beat him at Unforgiven, is left out? Shane tried reasoning that Morrison only just got back to SmackDown Live and while he was impressive in his title win last Saturday, Gargano is the one who's been putting in the work. Morrison continued to protest the decision and convinced Gargano to face him tonight, only instead of the Cruiserweight Title being on the line, his Manifest Destiny spot will be.
2) ADRIAN NEVILLE DEF. ELIAS via Red Arrow. With Tyson Kidd out of action for the foreseeable future after undergoing knee surgery, Neville is left on his own on SmackDown Live. 'The Man That Gravity Forgot' got his rejuvenated singles career off to a good start after putting away Elias, cementing himself as one to watch in 'The Land of Opportunity.'
MONDAY NIGHT RAW PREVIEW: After seriously injuring Alexa Bliss at the conclusion of Payback, Emma makes her return to RAW to address the WWE Universe and provide her thoughts on her upcoming Hell of War Match with 'The Goddess'. Plus, the reign of Pentagon as the Universal Champion begins, and because the participants of this past Monday's Six Pack Challenge believe that they all have unfinished business with each other, Dario Cueto has made a huge main event official. Derrick Bateman, Drew McIntyre, Adam Cole, Kevin Owens, Daniel Bryan and United States Champion Seth Rollins compete in a Gauntlet Match.
PAIGE'S NIGHTMARE IS ONLY JUST BEGINNING: With no one overseeing the following segment because of a refusal on the part of anyone with the authority to do so, SmackDown Women's Champion Allie's entrance music hit as she walked out onto the stage, her face not painted this time to signal that she's able to let her inner-demons rest. At least for now after she was able to set fire to Becky Lynch at Unforgiven and capture the SmackDown Women's Title. Allie headed into the ring, looking down at the contract for the match that she's found herself in after a month of mystery surrounding Paige's attack after SummerSlam. Once Allie was settled in the ring, "Rapture" by Underoath sounded to a monstrous ovation, bringing out the WWE Champion. Paige, who will begin her suspension immediately after this signing is over, stormed down to the ring, standing across from the woman who The Bella Twins claimed was the one who gave them the inspiration to carry out the attack on Paige. Flipping through the pages of the contract, Allie told Paige that she can't imagine what the last month has felt like for her. "Being attacked and left for dead at a hotel, not knowing who was responsible for it... ... ... you know this is all your fault, right? You just had to go and try to see the good in everyone. That's why on the Battleground Kickoff seven months ago, you let me off the hook. You had your chance to take me out of this industry because you easily could have. I was not in a position yet to fight back because I was weak! I was a tormented girl who didn't have the courage yet to stand up for herself! And all you did was let me go. You could've ended all of this right there and then. I know that if you could miraculously time travel back to that date, you'd rip me apart limb from limb with no remorse, but you now have to accept that this is your reality! I'm the monster that has taken over SmackDown Live because you allowed me to live! You're the reason Becky Lynch caught on fire at Unforgiven! I'm the one who pushed her into the flames, but you ignited the ones inside of me! Yes, I'm the one who gave The Bella Twins the idea to attack to you, but you know what? I'm glad that Nikki and Brie were too big of cowards to get the job done because that means I now get to! And at Unison, I won't show you the same mercy that you once showed me if it means taking from you the WWE Championship!" Allie signed the contract before throwing the clipboard at Paige, who wasn't fazed at all.
"... Maybe you're right about the Battleground Kickoff. Maybe if I could go back in time, I'd treat you much differently, but I didn't. I let you go because I didn't want to hurt you. When I looked into your eyes that you deceived all of us with, Allie, I knew you were in pain. I knew all along that the whole 'ditzy girl' thing was an act to mask how you were actually feeling. Somehow, you were just as screwed up in the head as I was and I sympathized with you for that. I have to live with myself knowing that I let go the chance to fix all of this... at that time. Unison is my chance to make things right because in this ring, in a Deathmatch no less, there will literally be no escape for you. You want to know what it felt like when The Bella Twins attacked me? The agony of being idle in a hospital not knowing if you're ever going to be the same again? I'll make you feel that, Allie. I will take barbed wire and shred every single inch of skin off of your bones. Whatever let's of your corpse won't even be visible under all of the foggy mercury from the light tubes that will have been used to puncture anything on your body that's left over. Then, I'll make you feel exactly what Becky Lynch did, only tenfold. I'm going to take the biggest tank of gasoline that I can find, pour every ounce of it onto your carcass, drop a match and burn the entire Temple down with you still inside. I'm just letting that be known now so that everyone who watches Unison is warned beforehand of what they're going to witness. And there won't be anyone to save you because by the time all of that happens, I'll have done the same to The Bella Twins."
After Paige's detailed, grotesque threat to Allie, she signed the contact before the SmackDown Women's Champion tried to take a pen to her forehead. Paige knew Allie was going to try something, so she was ready to defend herself. Paige grabbed Allie's arm to keep the pen away before headbutting her. Allie rolled to the outside of the ring as Paige tried making chase for her, and that's when things escalated to a place no one could have imagined. Mandy Rose from NXT and Sonya Deville from the Queen of the Ring tournament came running down the entrance ramp, Paige not having enough time to process what was happening. Paige took both women out with forearm strikes before lifting up the ring skirt to find Allie, but was instead met with red mist from another Queen of the Ring participant, Roesmary. The blinded Paige fell back onto the floor while trying to wipe her eyes, Rosemary sliding out from underneath the ring. Rosemary, Mandy and Sonya beat down Paige as Allie re-emerged, leading the charge and shouting orders at the three women. Mandy and Sonya picked Paige up, throwing her into a ring post before Allie headed into the ring, asking for Paige to be thrown her way. Allie picked Paige up, holding the WWE Champion by her face with an eerie smile. Allie then handed Paige over the debuting trio of Rosemary, Mandy and Sonya as they drilled Paige through the contract signing table with a Triple Powerbomb! Allie tried picking up the WWE Championship, but she had to escape once The Iconic Duo ran into the ring. The SmackDown Tag Team Champions ran off Allie, Rosemary, Mandy and Sonya as Billie Kay checked on Paige, Peyton Royce standing on the ring apron with an almost lost expression. Her issues with Paige have been made public over the last few weeks, but this incident went beyond any resentment that Peyton might feel toward the WWE Champion. Allie raised the SmackDown Women's Title in the crowd with her new comrades in Rosemary, Mandy and Sonya flanking her.
3) JOHNNY GARGANO DEF. CRUISERWEIGHT CHAMPION JOHN MORRISON TO RETAIN HIS MANIFEST DESTINY SPOT via the Gargano Escape. Having to prove to the WWE Universe and himself that he belongs in Manifest Destiny, Gargano was able to best Morrison unlike at Unforgiven, countering the Moonlight Drive into the Gargano Escape. 'Johnny Wrestling' is officially in SmackDown Live's Manifest Destiny block, though he has his work cut out for him once you take one glance at the 11 superstars he's up against.
THE DIRE STATE OF CATCH POINT: Backstage, SmackDown Women's Champion Allie, Rosemary, Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville were shown walking down a corridor after the four brutalized WWE Champion Paige during the contract signing for the Title for Title Deathmatch at Unison. The four were then stopped by TJ Perkins, who with a shocked expression asked Allie was she was doing. "Are they in Catch Point?! Huh?! We don't need them! Or is this some other little project of yours because as the leader of Catch Point, I think I deserve to know everything that's going on in my faction!" shouted TJP, none of the women answering him. CM Punk then tried calming down TJP, insisting that they focus on tonight's SmackDown Tag Team Title match. "Look, we'll figure all this out soon, but they just did us a favor. They're in Billie's and Peyton's heads now," Punk said to try and get TJP to see the positives in Allie's stunt. That was when Chad Gable and Jason Jordan approached their stablemates, announcing that they're leaving the group. "What?! Why?! You can't just leave!" TJP yelled. Gable stated that he and Jordan want better for themselves and they no longer feel like they're being treated with respect in Catch Point. "If you three want in Catch Point, be our guests because we're out," Jordan said to Rosemary, Mandy and Sonya before he and Gable left the scene, an irate TJP left to wonder just what is the current state of what he touted as the most dominant faction in WWE.
4) MUSTAFA ALI DEF. ARIYA DAIVARI via the 054. Prior to the start of the match, SmackDown Live Commissioner Shane McMahon announced that while he was at Payback this past Sunday, he met with a RAW superstar whose contract expired and negotiated a deal to bring him over to SmackDown Live. Out came Mustafa Ali, who was impressive in his team blue debut with a win over Daivari.
NEXT WEEK: In the final edition of SmackDown Live before Unison, Samoa Joe will have his first defense of the Intercontinental Championship when he takes on Rey Mysterio, Matt Riddle and Andrade 'Cien' Almas in a Fatal Four Way match.
SHANE MCMAHON WILL ACCEPT THE UNISON MATCH ON HIS TERMS: Backstage, Cathy Kelley caught up to SmackDown Commissioner Shane McMahon, asking if he had an answer for the challenge laid out by Dario Cueto for a match at Unison against Matanza Cueto. Shane said that he's more than ready to accept the challenge, but knowing Dario, he can't help but shake off the feeling that there's a catch involved. That's why he'll be at RAW next Monday to accept the challenge face-to-face while asking Dario exactly what his terms are for the match.
5) CM PUNK & TJ PERKINS DEF. THE ICONIC DUO, AND SAMI ZAYN & CODY RHODES IN A TRIPLE THREAT MATCH TO WIN THE SMACKDOWN TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIPS after a Go To Sleep to Billie Kay. Even without the inclusion of ladders, this bout was just as chaotic as the one at Unforgiven. After Zayn wiped out Peyton and TJP with a Tope Con Hilo, Billie caught Rhodes with a Big Boot in mid-air off of a Disaster Kick. Even with the assault on WWE Champion Paige earlier, The Iconic Duo looked to be on their way to victory until the entrance theme song of The Bella Twins hit. Billie turned her attention to the stage, wondering if Nikki and Brie were actually in the arena. Billie lost focus of the match, allowing Punk to turn her around once the music silence. Punk delivered the Go To Sleep, covering Billie to end the match. "We have new Tag Team Champions!" Nigel McGuinness exclaimed as Punk rolled out of the ring, picking up TJP as the official ran after them to hand Catch Point the titles. Peyton soon came to at ringside, hearing Punk's theme song and realizing that she and Billie's feel-good title reign was over in just a matter of five days. Peyton slid into the ring to check on Billie, putting her hands on her head in both disbelief and sadness over the fact that their moment at Unforgiven was seemingly for nothing now that their first defense of the SmackDown Tag Team Titles resulted in new champions being crowned in the form of Catch Point.

"I'm Sorry" by Drag Me Out
I see it in your eyes it's all been gone No matter what we've lost it's running dry You're fading way too fast, the truth you can't deny
You see it in my eyes, what can you say? No matter how it ends are you okay? I'm swimming way too deep, I guess it's done
Oh can't you see, can't you see?
I didn't lose my patience laying on your shelf What happened to your touch? I barely feel myself If you still hear me, "you" is all I need Cause I'm so lonely, I'm that falling leaf
What do you know about the way I feel? It's rumored to the core, I guess it's real I wish it's bulletproof, we're made of steel
I guess when you gave up I found a way Cause this is how it is - blood through my veins Did you ever found a place to hide from their eyes?
Oh can't you see, can't you see?
I didn't lose my patience laying on your shelf What happened to your touch? I barely feel myself If you still hear me, "you" is all I need Cause I'm so lonely, I'm that falling leaf
When that black cloud of anxiety Keeps you a lonely company and it drowns you in your dreams And it tears you at your f****** seams Just look at me, it's such a shame it took the end to set me free
I didn't lose my patience laying on your shelf What happened to your touch? I barely feel myself If you still hear me, "you" is all I need Cause I'm so lonely, I'm that falling leaf
Thursday September 18th, 2014 Biloxi, Mississippi
Mandy: "Mandy Rose."
Sonya: "Sonya Deville."
Rosemary: "... ... ...Rosemary."
Allie: "Remember their names, people."
After SmackDown Live went off the air, Allie and the debuting trio of Mandy Rose, Sonya Deville and Rosemary cut a promo in the locker room area on a handheld camera that Allie positioned in front of all of them. With WWE Champion Paige now serving her suspension and The Iconic Duo in isolation after losing the SmackDown Tag Team Championships to CM Punk and TJ Perkins, she believed she had the opening to let the three newest SmackDown Live superstars introduce themselves without any interruptions.
Allie: "... Are they in Catch Point? Short answer.... no, they're not. These three women are their own entities and don't need a fractured label like Catch Point slapped onto them. Catch Point is still just myself, CM Punk, TJ Perkins and Taynara Conti."
Mandy: "Joining Catch Point was never in question for us because I think I speak for everyone else here when I say that TJ Perkins is the last person we want to be associated with in WWE. Besides, Allie didn't come to us with an offer. Sonya and I made it known to her that we agreed with everything she was saying about Paige, The Iconic Duo and this women's division altogether. It's gotten to a point where we all have to question the integrity of the WWE Universe. They choose to boo a girl like Allie, who they share more in common with than they want to admit. Hell, I share more in common with Allie than I thought. Just because we're both beautiful, people think that we can't have feelings of darkness within us. Would you people believe me if I said that I know what it's like to feel insecure? What it likes to feel lost? You take one look at me and you think I have all of my craptogether. I've worked my ass off to not only look this way, but to get to the WWE. I won Tough Enough and once I got to the Performance Center, it felt like nobody was willing to give me a chance. None of you have seen the struggle on my end, but now, you'll have no choice but to."
Sonya: "Let me add on to what Mandy's already said about us resonating with Allie and her message. The Iconic Duo is the reason why I feel like I've been pushed to this point where I have to do something. Billie Kay and Peyton Royce have spent the last few months exploiting their sexuality for shock value. You know why that hits a nerve with me? Because when I came out, I made sure that it was for a purpose. Not just as a cathartic release for myself, but also because I wanted to help others know that they don't have to be scared to be themselves. Billie and Peyton are doing to the exact opposite with homosexuality. They're telling the WWE Universe that you should be putting yourself out there just to get reactions out of people like TJP who eat that s*** up! This is NOT how you approach the subject of being gay, or bi, or whatever they are. Everything that I want to use this platform for, Billie and Peyton are ripping apart! I couldn't just sit back and watch this go on any longer, which is why I'm here now."
Rosemary: "... Allie... Allie... she's dead on the inside. Her corrupted soul... I could sense it. I could feel Allie's torment as if it were my own! Paige's torment... Paige brought it all on herself. Paige... Paige lives in her own grave! Allie... Allie is pure... Mandy and Sonya... Mandy and Sonya have identified with us... We... We have purpose..."
Allie: "These three are here because of the bed that Paige, Billie Kay and Peyton Royce have made the bed that they refuse to lie in, which is ironic 'cause I'm sure those three would love to be in a bed together. Paige shouldn't worry about The Bella Twins because even if they are the attackers, they clearly failed because Paige is still breathing. But the second that Mandy, Sonya and Rosemary get to her, she won't be anymore. So, let me expand on what I said earlier. These three are not in Catch Point. Consider them an offshoot of Catch Point. A group that is appointed the mission of ridding SmackDown Live of Paige and The Iconic Duo. Consider them my... Assassins."
Alllie then shut off the camera, officially introducing The Assassins to the WWE Universe and making it clear what their mission statement is against Paige, Billie and Peyton.
Not too long afterward, Mandy and Sonya exited the Mississippi Coast Center on their own, Rosemary fading off into the night in a mysterious manner. Allie was left on her own, the SmackDown Women's Champion feeling on top of the world after executing her master plan tonight to get more soldiers - or Assassins - on her side against Paige and The Iconic Duo. Allie had a phone call to make, so she tried finding a quiet place in the arena where she wouldn't be interrupted. She walked down the hallway, coming across Shane McMahon's office where a closed meeting was taking place. With one question audible from the closed room, Allie grinned as she knew exactly who was in there and what was being told to him.
TJP: "HELL IN A CELL?!?!?!"
Distancing herself from the rest of the roster and staff members who were still in the arena, Allie searched her phone for a specific contact and dialed the number, disappointed when she was taken to his voicemail.
Allie: "Condron, it's me again. Look, I don't blame you for not answering any of my calls. I came across really hostile toward you and I regret that. The more I think about it, the more I realize that you're not a bad person. You're fractured on the inside, just like me. I hope you were watching tonight because I took a big step toward feeling better by surrounding myself with other women who feel exactly how I do. The Bella Twins ruined your plan to make Paige and The Iconic Duo pay, but I won't. The Assassins won't let them get away this time. I promise you that. So, please, Condron... Just... Just call me back soon. Please."

"Waiting for a Friend" by The Pretty Reckless
The night is when The ghosts all come out Playin’ with my head Spin it all around This room is like a prison cell I'm all by myself I'm waiting for my friend To come and break me out
You left me today Lyin’ on the floor I wanted you to stay Seems you wanted more This bed is like a prison cell Cause I'm all by myself Still waiting for my friend To come and break me out
And there's stone cold bars on my door For this stone cold heart
Some people say Life is like a lie Take it day by day Never knowing why My head is like a prison cell I'm all by myself I'm waiting for my friend To come and break me out Still waiting for my friend To come and break me out
Sunday September 21st, 2014 Phoenix, Arizona
One week remained on Paige's suspension, but the WWE Champion wasn't going to let it pass by without trying to take matters into her own hands regarding her attack after SummerSlam. The Bella Twins already took credit for the physical assault, Allie confessed to giving them the idea for it, and Kevin Condron's investigation was essentially over since he was classified as missing. What Paige decided to do was get on a plane to Arizona and find The Bella Twins herself, which wouldn't be difficult since she had an idea of where they lived based off of what she had been told by Bella stans in secrecy that she reached out to on Twitter. She actually paid these people through PayPal and Venmo in exchange for any information she could obtain, which exemplified just how desperate Paige was to extract revenge.
Arriving in Phoenix late Sunday night, Paige took an Uber ride to the neighborhood that she was told had the house that at least Brie Bella lived in, with Nikki Bella occasionally visiting. In Paige's mind, if she could get to one Bella, she'd be able to lure the other one in. She continuously looked at a screenshot on her phone that she took from a YouTube video of Total Divas, which showed the outside of the house she was searching for. Paige had the Uber driver stop, throwing a $100 bill at him to make up for cancelling the trip mid-ride, as well as to lie about ever driving her anywhere. Paige got out of the car and stood in front of a large gate, realizing that she was indeed at the house seen in the Total Divas clips.
Paige used the flashlight on her phone to search the area from behind the gate, primarily checking to see if there were any security guards. She came to the conclusion that the house was only gated and not guarded per se. So, she climbed over the gate, opting to just fall from the top of it instead of trying to land safely on her feet. Paige figured that if she's fallen from the top of Hell in a Cell before, landing on concrete off of a gate wasn't going to kill her. She landed on her back, instinctively trying to take the fall as if it were a wrestling bump with her chin tucked. The fall did hurt Paige, but she got up and brushed off any pain she felt in that moment. The WWE Champion then walked up to the front door of the home, seeing the empty driveway as a sign that no one was home. Paige looked around to see if there were any security cameras, though if there were, she couldn't locate them. Her plan was to try destroying the cameras before attempting to break into the home, but once she heard the gate open, that's when everything changed.
Paige tried hiding in a bush near the front door, watching as a vehicle pulled up into the driveway. She kept herself hidden while Brie Bella and Daniel Bryan exited the car, Paige upset that Bryan had to be there since he was just going to take collateral damage from what she planned on doing to Brie.
When Brie and Bryan opened the front door, that's when Paige jumped out of the bush. She leaped into Bryan, striking him with a knee to the side of his head. Brie ran into the home, Paige chasing after her in what was almost a literal horror film scene.
Paige: "Get back here!"
Brie: "Stop! You've got it all wrong!"
Paige: "Shut the f*** up!"
Paige was finally able to grab Brie by her hair, choking her while pinning her against a wall. Paige thrusted the back of Brie's head into the wall three times before she was grabbed by Bryan, who tried putting her into a Full Nelson.
Paige: "F*** you! I'll kill you, too!"
Bryan: "Paige, just listen!"
Paige: "F*** you!"
Bryan: "She's pregnant!"
Paige: "... ... ..."
All of a sudden, Paige's body felt like it completely shut down. She stopped struggling, which Bryan noticed and decided to let her go. She stood still with her jaw open, feeling only regret and remorse as Brie gasped for air.
Paige: "... ... ... What?"
Bryan checked on Brie and helped her to her feet, Paige's brain scrambling to put this new information into what she already knew.
Brie wasn't the one who spoke up at the press conference and confessed to carrying out the attack. Nikki did. And if Brie was pregnant, there's no chance she would've put herself in great danger by attacking her because what if she put up a fight?
Paige: "... ... How many weeks is she?"
Bryan: "Eleven."
Eleven weeks puts Brie at six or seven weeks at the time of the attack. This just further convinced Paige that she was about to take her frustrations out on an innocent woman. But beyond that, what if Bryan wasn't there to stop Paige? Paige would've beaten Brie to a bloody pulp, and without knowledge of her pregnancy, the worst case scenario could have been Paige accidentally killing Brie's child.
Paige backed against a wall and sat down, feeling sick while thinking about what could've happened. This especially triggered Paige because she knows what it's like to lose an unborn baby and the last thing she ever wanted was to be responsible for that happening to anyone else.
Paige put her hands against her face once she could feel herself beginning to cry.
Brie: "Paige..."
Paige: "... ... What the f*** is wrong with me? I could've... I could've..."
Bryan: "But you didn't, alright? Please, just get up."
Bryan extended his hand out to Paige, offering to help her up. Paige accepted the assistance, unsure why Bryan and Brie were being kind to her when she literally tried breaking into their home.
Brie: "Look, Paige... There's something about your attack that you should know..."
Paige: "... ... ... You didn't do it, did you?"
Brie brought Paige into the living room area, sitting her down so she could explain her side of the story.
Brie: "Nicole and I did find Allie crying in a restroom after SummerSlam. That part is true. Allie said that she hated you because of everything you've done to the women's division, and that you were getting away with all of it. She said that someone needed to put you in your place. Nicole and I listened to her, but I never thought about doing anything to you. Nicole's a different story, though. That night in our hotel, she kept talking about how much Allie's words resonated with her. And that wasn't a surprise to me."
Paige: "... What do you mean?"
Brie: "Nicole thinks that you took her spot at the top of the women's division a long time ago. Back when Total Divas was just starting, she thought she was going to be the one in the division to break out and become a massive star because of her status as a celebrity. Instead, it was you. You went on to become the biggest female superstar in history and Nicole has always resented that because she thought she had more to her career left. I knew I was going to step away and start a family, but Nicole believed she had more to offer and she blames you for that opportunity slipping away from her."
Paige: "... ... ..."
Brie: "... The truth is that Nicole and I weren't together the morning after SummerSlam. I got on a flight back here early and by the time I landed, the news was already spreading about what happened to you. I don't know where Nicole was and she wasn't answering her phone."
Paige stayed silent while putting the pieces together in her head.
Brie: "I never said anything because I wanted to protect my sister and see the good in her. I tried believing that she didn't attack you... but I can't anymore."
Paige: "... ... Nikki did it."
The explanation from Brie was enough to convince Paige that Nikki did indeed attack her, and it made much more sense now about why she was the one who came forward at the press conference two weeks ago and not Brie.
Paige: "... ... Who helped her?"
Brie: "... ... I don't know."
Paige: "Brie... Someone else attacked me. There were two people there. I couldn't see them, but I could feel it. I'm not losing my mind. I know that there someone else there. Who helped Nikki?"
Brie: "If I knew, I'd tell you."
Paige: "... ... F***ing hell, no..."
Once again crying, Paige tried to make Brie understand why it was so important for her to find out the truth to all of this. When she was sexually assaulted as a teenager, she never found out the identity of her attacker. Not that this was on the same magnitude, but Paige couldn't just let more people get away with trying to ruin her life. She needed closure for herself. She needed to know who else attacked her, but it was clear that she wasn't going to get an answer right now.
Brie went a step further and decided to make a joint statement with Paige where Brie confessed her belief that Nikki was one of the attackers, while Paige publicly denounced any involvement on the part of Brie.
If Brie didn't help Nikki attack Paige, then who did?

Don't come too close Don't come too close
I'm sorry girl, but there's a complication I've given up, given up on this whole damn fixation I've seen love end way too many times
I know, you know That I think you're lovely but the closer you get to me It makes me sick 'cause I know it'll pass just as fast as it came along You came along but you don't belong But I know it won't be long till we say so long
Go, move along I've got the world to see Go, move along Spare me anxiety Don't waste my time Go, move along I've got the world to see
I'm sorry girl, I'm sorry girl I've seen love end way too many times
Let's slow down I've gotta keep some dignity 'Cause I've got no f***s left in the vicinity I've got a problem opening up to anybody Don't make this personal, it's me and my anxiety I'll push you away I've been so easily thrown away So I'll take my time (You came along but you don't belong) So I'll take my time (But I know it won't be long till we say so long)
Go, move along I've got the world to see Go, move along Spare me anxiety And don't waste my time, I've already wasted enough Go, move along I've got the world to see
Elsewhere in Phoenix, Nikki Bella watched the video released by Brie Bella on Instagram, realizing that her sister just sided with Paige and named her as one of the attackers.
Nikki: "... ... Fine. Game on, Paige. Game... F***ing... On."
Nikki took a sip of her wine while using her laptop to book a flight to Los Angeles next Sunday, the location and date of Unison.

September 22nd, 2014 | Episode 024 | "Fear" AJ STYLES ADDRESSES HIS CHAMPIONSHIP LOSS: In a pre-recorded segment from a church in Gainesville, Georgia, AJ Styles was shown sitting down in the aisle with his hands clutched together and his eyes closed. "Dear Lord... I know you have a plan for me," Styles said to start his prayer. He continued on, telling God that as of this moment, he understands why he had the Universal Championship taken away from him. "You want to use me to prove your value to all of us, God. You want me to show everyone that the power of prayer and the word of God can help us prosper! Pentagon has the Devil on his side, so this battle means more to you than it does to me. And I promise, Lord, that this Sunday at Unison, I will restore every ounce of honor that you have entrusted me with when I defeat Pentagon and reclaim the Universal Championship! In the name of the one, almighty God... amen."
HELL OF WAR WILL BE ALL ABOUT EMMA: In the FedEx Forum in Memphis, Tennessee, Emma's entrance hit to a strongly negative reaction from the WWE Universe. Emma stepped into the ring on Monday Night RAW for the first time since August 11th, telling the world that they can all thank Alexa Bliss for her absence. When she lost the Money in the Bank briefcase at SummerSlam, she knew that she'd be back to take everything away from Alexa. All she was doing was biding her time. "I wasn't sad about it. I wasn't depressed. I was calculating my next move because I knew that the next time I showed my face around here, it would be to hurt Alexa Bliss worse than she's ever been hurt before." Emma said that she's the one who captured the Money in the Bank briefcase in the first place, so it only makes sense that she's the one who decided its fate. "Alexa, you wanted imitate me, didn't you? Well guess what? I made sure that happened because now, neither of us have anything. We've lost it all thanks to each other. So it only makes sense that the next step for us is Hell." Emma knew that Alexa wouldn't stay down after the attack at Payback, but at Hell of War, it'll be a different story. Not only will she beat her in the First Blood Match, but she'll also put her down in the No Holds Barred Match. "And even though we're not going to make it to the Ambulance Match, I'll make sure that you leave in one."
THE REVIVAL DEF. ROMAN REIGNS & FINN BALOR via Shatter Machine to Reigns. Once again, miscommunication resulted in Reigns and Balor's downfall after Dawson moved out of harm's way when Balor was descending with a Missile Dropkick, catching Reigns instead. Wilder threw Balor out of the ring before he and Dawson finished off Reigns to put The Revival back on their winning ways. Post-match, Dawson and Wilder stomped away on Reigns, Balor able to chase them away. When Balor turned around, however, Reigns drilled him with a Spear! Tensions were at an all time high between Reigns and Balor, and their short-lived partnership has ceased to exist just one week before they both embark on Manifest Destiny.
DAKOTA KAI DEF. CARMELLA via the Kaio-Kick. Carmella, who took offense to being left out of the RAW Women's Championship picture, attempted to prove her value to the division against its newest star. The Queen of the Ring winner finished Carmella off with a brutal Kaio-Kick against a corner, all while RAW Women's Champion Sasha Banks and Bayley watched from ringside. Will it be "Boss Time" at Unison on Sunday, or is Dakota Kai going to complete her rapid ascent to the top of Monday Night RAW by becoming its new Women's Champion?
DARIO CUETO NAMES HIS CONDITIONS FOR UNISION: In the ring, RAW General Manager Dario Cueto called out SmackDown Live Commissioner Shane McMahon, who decided to invite himself to RAW tonight in Memphis in order to accept Dario's challenge for a match at Unison against Matanza Cueto face-to-face. Shane said that before he agrees to face off with 'The Monster' this Sunday, he needs to know exactly what Dario wants out of this match. "I know you all too well, Dario. You don't just want a match. Giving Matanza the chance to decimate me isn't enough to satisfy your bloodthirsty desire for violence and chaos. So, what is it? What do you want from me?" Dario told Shane that it's not just that he wants something from him, but he knows it's the other way around as well. That's why he's going to offer a deal to make this match happen. "I couldn't help but notice that since Kurt Angle stepped down, SmackDown Live is without a General Manager..." Dario proposed that if Matanza wins at Unison, then he gets to name the new General Manager of SmackDown Live. With the authority to put anyone he wants into that position, Dario could destroy SmackDown Live from the outside if he so chose to. "... And what happens if I win?" Shane asked. Dario thought about it for a bit before deciding to put his own spot as the RAW General Manager on the line. "If you beat Matanza, I won't just leave RAW. I'll leave WWE for good!" Dario extended his hand to Shane, who accepted the conditions for the match. If Matanza beats Shane at Unison, Dario will get to handpick the new General Manager of SmackDown Live. However, if Shane beats Matanza, Dario must leave WWE altogether.
SMACKDOWN LIVE PREVIEW: Three days before Unison is live from Dario Cueto's Temple, the first-ever televised Hell in a Cell Match in SmackDown history will take center stage in the main event as CM Punk and TJ Perkins defend their newly-won SmackDown Tag Team Championships against Billie Kay and Peyton Royce. Plus, Samoa Joe puts the Intercontinental Championship on the line against Matt Riddle, Rey Mysterio and Andrade 'Cien' Almas in a Fatal Four Way Match. And after introducing the world to The Assassins - Mandy Rose, Sonya Deville and Rosemary - last week, what will SmackDown Women's Champion Allie have to say before her Title for Title Deathmatch with WWE Champion Paige at Unison?
DANIEL BRYAN DEF. UNITED STATES CHAMPION SETH ROLLINS IN PHASE ONE OF THE GAUNTLET via small package roll-up. The Gauntlet Match featuring six of the twelve Manifest Destiny RAW Block participants began with a SummerSlam 2013 rematch between United States Champion Seth Rollins and Daniel Bryan. After a grueling back-and-forth contest, Bryan was able to counter God's Last Gift into a small package to defeat Rollins and eliminate him from the Gauntlet.
DANIEL BRYAN DEF. KEVIN OWENS IN PHASE TWO OF THE GAUNTLET via Busaiku Knee. Immediately after putting Seth Rollins away, Daniel Bryan was pitted against another one of his current rivals in the form of Kevin Owens. During a Pop-Up Powerbomb attempt, Bryan was able to push Owens with a single-leg Dropkick. When Bryan got back to his feet, he connected with the Busaiku Knee, covering 'The Prizefighter' to advance yet another phase.
DERRICK BATEMAN DEF. DANIEL BRYAN IN PHASE THREE OF THE GAUNTLET via TKO. After two straight victories, Daniel Bryan's luck in the Gauntlet finally came to an end after he was challenged by his old NXT rookie, Derrick Bateman. After countering Bryan's Missile Dropkick with a Spear, Bateman hoisted Bryan onto his shoulders for a TKO, ending his Gauntlet run at nearly 40 minutes.
DERRICK BATEMAN DEF. ADAM COLE IN PHASE FOUR OF THE GAUNTLET via TKO. When The Undisputed ERA's music initially sounded, RAW Tag Team Champions Kyle O'Reilly and Bobby Fish appeared from behind and dragged Derrick Bateman out to ringside, assaulting him before being ordered to leave by the official. Adam Cole thought the attack would weaken Bateman, but the attempt was all for nothing after Bateman put Cole with his TKO to move on to the fifth and final phase of the Gauntlet.
DREW MCINTYRE DEF. DERRICK BATEMAN IN PHASE FIVE OF THE GAUNTLET via Claymore. For the third time in a month, Derrick Bateman found himself in one-on-one action against Drew McIntyre. More prepared than ever before with two losses under his belt at this point, Bateman threw everything he had at 'The Scottish Psychopath' with the mindset that he had nothing to lose, something unusual for 'The God of the New Era.' Bateman was able to send McIntyre into a corner, delivering two Stinger Splashes. During Bateman's attempt to complete the trifecta, McIntyre shot himself out of the corner and caught Bateman in the face with the Claymore! McIntyre covered Bateman to win the Gauntlet and score his third consecutive win over the two-time Universal Champion. McIntyre heads into Manifest Destiny with all of the momentum in the world, but his celebration was cut short by the signature of The Wyatt Tribe. When the lights in the FedEx Forum came back on, Universal Champion Pentagon was standing behind McIntyre! Pentagon turned McIntyre around, kicking him in the mid-section before delivering the same Package Piledriver that won him the Universal Title last week! Pentagon took a microphone, clearing the ring of McIntyre before sending a message to his challenger at Unison on Sunday.
"AJ Styles! Le rezas a tu Dios porque significa algo ... no significa nada porque en este mundo en el que tú y yo vivimos, ¡yo soy Dios! Soy Dios, AJ Styles! Domingo en Unison ... aprenderás exactamente lo que quiero decir porque yo soy Pentágon! Universal Campeón! Cero! Miedo!"

September 24th, 2014 | Episode 024 | "Unison Teaser"
"IN THE END, WE ALL EMPLOY SABOTAGE": All throughout the evening, Tom Phillips and Michael Schiavello would be previewing the NXT match-ups at this Sunday's Unison event on the WWE Network. First up was the Ladder Match to crown the inaugural WWE United Kingdom Champion, the video package set to its theme song of "The Bank of England" by Enter Shikari. With the rise of the UK's independent wrestling scene, NXT took advantage of the opportunity to feature several talents from PROGRESS Wrestling in the Cruiserweight Classic. At the same time, standout Toni Storm was signed full-time to NXT. "In the end, we all employ sabotage. No room for ethics, now greed is in charge." Pete Dunne, Marty Scurll, Will Ospreay and Zack Sabre Jr. were all selected for the Cruiserweight Classic, but an injury forced Sabre to relinquish his spot. Mark Haskins joined the tournament in Sabre's place, something that Sabre would never forgive himself or anyone else for. "The invisible hand no longer guides. It chokes." At a PROGRESS Chapter event in July, NXT Commissioner William Regal paid a visit to the promotion to unveil the WWE United Kingdom Championship, along with the intention to name the first-ever titleholder at Unison. After Toni, Dunne, Ospreay, Scurll and Haskins overcame SAnitY at TakeOver: MSG, Sabre would make his NXT debut, laying waste to all of his fellow UK performers. With Sabre back in the picture, the field was set for the Ladder Match in Dario Cueto's Temple. "They blew up the bank of England. The paper burnt for days. They blew up the bank of England, oh..." Who will become the very first WWE United Kingdom Champion this Sunday at Unison?
THE FINAL SHOWDOWN BETWEEN EMBER MOON AND NICOLE MATTHEWS: Another video package took the NXT Universe back to March of this year, when Nicole Matthews defeated Emma to become the new NXT Women's Champion. With Emma, Billie Kay, Peyton Royce, Becky Lynch and Sasha Banks all declaring their eligibility for the WWE Draft, Nicole opted to remain in NXT and carry the torch for the new phase of the brand's women's division. Very quickly, Nicole was put to the test against newcomers the likes of Toni Storm, Nikki Cross and Ember Moon. At TakeOver: Chicago, Nicole showed her true colors when she took the easy way out and leveled Ember with the Women's Title to retain the gold in a Fatal Four Way match. Nicole believed she was untouchable thanks to her friendship with NXT General Manager Portia Perez, but Portia has made it clear that she will not give Nicole favorable treatment. At TakeOver: MSG, Ember defeated Nicole to become the new champion after Nicole was distracted by an altercation with Portia. After losing the rematch against Ember, Nicole snapped like never before, assaulting NXT's 'War Goddess.' Now, the stage is set for one final encounter between the two. At Unison, Ember Moon puts the NXT Women's Championship on the line against Nicole Matthews in a Steel Cage Match.
"AND I GOT A COLORFUL AUARA LIKE I GOT NEON GUTS": The next video package was accompanied by Lil Uzi Vert's "Neon Guts" as highlights of The Velveteen Dream's NXT tenure up to this point were shown. Despite his inexperience in the wrestling industry, the incredibly-young Dream quickly managed to captivate the NXT Universe with not only his colorful, over-the-top persona, but also his in-ring prowess. "Admit it, I move like amoeba. I float in the room like I'm reefer." Dream found himself in a Five Pack Challenge at TakeOver: MSG against Kenny Omega, Kota Ibushi, Lars Sullivan and his own 423-GET-FAME stablemate, Lil Morgan, for an opportunity to face Bobby Roode for the vacant NXT Championship. Despite coming up short, Dream kept his sights set on gold. "Started way after, but ahead of y'all. New crib, I got a better yard. Two years, I got hella cars." In a 15-man Battle Royal for an NXT Championship match at Unison, Dream last eliminated his own stablemate, Fenix, to secure his spot in the match against Roode at Unison. Dream gave his statement to the NXT Universe that it was only a matter of time before he worked his way up to the top of the brand, while Roode discredits Dream and finds it laughable that he believes he has a legitimate chance at the NXT Title. "Higher than Elon Musk. So high stars eat our dust. And I got a colorful aura like I got neon guts. Dark energy, we don't touch. Our jewelries be on Tut. And I got a colorful aura like I got neon guts." Who will walk out of Dario Cueto's Temple on Sunday with the NXT Championship?
NEXT WEEK: In a set of matches that will be taped prior to the start of Unison, NXT's four newest acquisitions - Mia Yim, Sarah Logan, Bianca Belair and Killer Kelly - will compete in a Fatal Four Way Match. Plus, SAnitY's Tommaso Ciampa goes one-on-one with Angelico.
"COWARDS ONLY COME THROUGH WHEN THE HOUR'S LATE": In NXT's marquee match at Unison, two former best friends see their relationship reach a boiling point thanks to one man's jealousy. "Levitate" by Twenty One Pilots helped set the stage that goes back a year ago when WWE and New Japan Pro Wrestling announced a historic partnership. "Show up, show up. I know I shouldn't say this but a curse from you is all I need right now, man. Come down, down. Cowards only come through when the hour's late, and everyone's asleep, mind you." At Wrestle Kingdom 8, Kota Ibushi partook in an interpromotional match that saw him lose the IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Championship to Tyler Breeze. After Ibushi failed to regain the title at TakeOver: R-Evolution, he helped NXT handpick Breeze's opponent for TakeOver: New Orleans. In an unpredictable move, Kenny Omega made his debut for NXT on WrestleMania weekend, defeating Breeze in a non-title match. Omega and Ibushi both entered the Cruiserweight Classic, losing to eventual winner Andrade 'Cien' Almas at different points. "Danger in the fabric of this thing I made. I probably shouldn't show you, but it's way too late. My heart is with you hiding, but my mind's not made. Now they know it like we both knew for some time I'd say." When Ibushi was cornered by then-NXT Tag Team Champions Drew McIntyre and Jinder Mahal, it was Omega who came to his best friend's aid, forming The Golden Lovers in NXT. The two had their shot at the NXT Tag Team Titles at TakeOver: Chicago, but lost when Ibushi was pinned by Mahal. Omega looked past the failed opportunity to assist Ibushi up the entrance ramp, assuring him that their friendship was still intact. Omega and Ibushi were then embroiled in the NXT Championship picture, namely a Five Pack Challenge at TakeOver: MSG. When Ibushi won the match, he advanced to the main event to face Bobby Roode for the vacant NXT Championship. Ibushi gave it his best effort, but Roode ultimately came out on top. Omega once again came to Ibushi's side, but this time, he stabbed his best friend in the back. Because of complications over on the main roster, Omega and Ibushi had their respective Unison matches against WWE Champion Paige and AJ Lee cancelled in favor of meeting each other one-on-one. Last weeks, the stakes were raised immensely by NXT Commissioner William Regal and General Manager Portia Perez. The winner of this match will qualify for NXT's first-ever Elimination Chamber Match at TakeOver: Dallas for the NXT Championship. "Oh I know how to levitate up off my feet and ever since the seventh grade I learned to fire-breathe and though I feed on things that fell, you can learn to levitate with just a little help." Omega. Ibushi. One-on-one. This Sunday at Unison.

September 25th, 2014 | Episode 024 | "Icons in Hell" ALLIE GUARANTEES A WWE CHAMPIONSHIP WIN ON SUNDAY: Three days remaining until Unison is live from Dario Cueto's Temple in Los Angeles, SmackDown Women's Champion Allie headed down to the ring. Following Allie were Mandy Rose, Sonya Deville and Rosemary, a trio Allie introduced last week as The Assassins. Allie grabbed a microphone and smelled the air, saying that the atmosphere was just a tad bit warmer and more welcoming since WWE Champion Paige isn't here tonight, still serving her suspension. "It does look like Paige has kept busy, though," said Allie, referring to a video that was released from both Paige and Brie Bella, further accusing Nikki Bella as being one of her attackers. Allie said that Paige shouldn't be worrying about Nikki right now because she isn't her opponent at Unison. "Nikki might be one of your attackers, but she isn't the woman who is going to beat you this Sunday at Unison. Nikki attacked you behind your back, Paige. I'm going to attack you right in front of your face because I want you to see and feel everything that happens to you on Sunday. All The Assassins did last week was let you know that my influence didn't just expand to Nikki Bella and whoever it was that helped her attack you. There is a plethora of individuals who are sick and tired of you being made out to be the face of this company, and I'm the one leading that charge." Allie stated that no one believed she could beat Becky Lynch for the SmackDown Women's Title, but clearly, she proved everyone wrong. "I told you last week, Paige, that you should have killed me when you had the chance. Now, I'm going to be the one who kills you at Unison to become the new WWE Champion!" Allie raised the SmackDown Women's Title along with her other hand, showing that while it's empty right now, it won't be at Unison when she's holding the WWE Title.
1) SAMOA JOE DEF. MATT RIDDLE, REY MYSTERIO AND ANDRADE 'CIEN' ALMAS TO RETAIN THE INTERCONTINENTAL CHAMPIONSHIP after a Muscle Buster to Mysterio. One week before these four superstars begin their journeys in Manifest Destiny, they battled it out for the Intercontinental Championship in a Fatal Four Way Match that concluded with Joe getting the pin on Mysterio. 'The Samoan Submission Machine' continues to accumulate all of the momentum in the world as he looks to dominate Manifest Destiny and head toward a WWE Championship match at the Royal Rumble.
SHANE MCMAHON IS CONFIDENT IN HIS CHANCES AT UNISON: Backstage, SmackDown Live Commissioner Shane McMahon and former General Manager Kurt Angle were shown watching a television monitor as Samoa Joe retained the Intercontinental Championship, Angle trying not to let the sight bother him too much since he'll have Joe on November 20th as part of Manifest Destiny. Angle brushed off the subject of Joe and asked Shane how he feels heading into Unison against Matanza Cueto. Shane responded by saying that if he didn't feel confident that he can beat Matanza, he wouldn't have accepted Dario Cueto's challenge. "There will be a new SmackDown Live GM sooner than later, but rest assured it isn't someone who will be appointed by Dario Cueto. In just a little more than 72 hours, Dario won't even be a factor in any of WWE's business matters anymore, and that's the price he's paying for trusting his brother to defend his position."
2) DEAN AMBROSE DEF. SOLOMON CROWE via Dirty Deeds. Last week, Ambrose thanked Crowe for bringing his "old self" back out of him before turning on Crowe. Tonight, the two engaged in a SummerSlam rematch, though every time Ambrose had the offensive advantage, Crowe smiled since he knew he was facing the violent variation of Ambrose that he knew was the real form of 'The Lunatic Fringe'. Ambrose finished Crowe off with Dirty Deed, his sights now set on successfully his standing as the Manifest Destiny winner.
CODY RHODES REFUSES TO TAKE A SIDE: In the locker room area, Cody Rhodes and Sami Zayn were shown sitting down in silence, neither man booked for tonight's show after being two of the most heavily-featured superstars on SmackDown Live since the Draft. Brandi Rhodes paced back-and-forth in the room before turning to Zayn, asking if he was happy. "... Am I happy? Happy with what? Happy with being left off of SmackDown while the two teams we faced at Unforgiven are in a historic main event?" Zayn questioned. Brandi asked Zayn if he was happy knowing that he's single-handedy ruined Cody's career. "Cody was the WWE Champion at this time last year! He was the one who everybody in Manifest Destiny was fighting for a shot at! Now, he has to compete in Manifest Destiny because you derailed his career! You're the one who stopped him from regaining the WWE Title at The Bash, and then you coerced him into forming a team just so you could keep him out of the championship scene!" Brandi shouted, trying to pin the blame for Cody's shortcomings on Zayn. Brandi and Zayn continued arguing while Cody stood up from his seat and exited the room, not wanting to get into it with either his wife or his tag team partner.
UNISON CARD RUNDOWN: To crown the inaugural WWE United Kingdom Champion, Pete Dunne, Toni Storm, Marty Scurll, Will Ospreay, Mark Haskins and Zack Sabre Jr. will be let loose in a Ladder Match. Ember Moon defends the NXT Women's Championship against Nicole Matthews inside of a Steel Cage. Sasha Banks puts the RAW Women's Title on the line against the winner of the Queen of the Ring tournament, Dakota Kai. The New Day host the second annual Manifest Destiny photo op, featuring all 24 participants from both RAW and SmackDown Live. Shane McMahon battles Matanza Cueto in a dual-branded match with incredibly high stakes because if Shane wins, then Dario Cueto must leave WWE, but if Matanza wins, then Dario will be allowed to choose the new General Manager of SmackDown Live. Win or lose tonight, The Iconic Duo have a tag team dream match set against New Japan Pro Wrestling's Young Bucks. In another interpromotional match-up, John Cena takes on Tetsuya Naito. The Velveteen Dream looks to capture the NXT Championship from Bobby Roode. The Golden Lovers explode as Kenny Omega goes one-on-one with Kota Ibushi. AJ Styles gets his rematch for the Universal Championship against Pentagon. And in the main event, it's title for title. WWE Champion Paige versus SmackDown Women's Champion Allie in a Deathmatch. Unison is live this Sunday night exclusively on the WWE Network.
"OH, LORD. HEAVEN KNOWS WE BELONG WAY DOWN BELOW": After the Hell in a Cell structure lowered to the ground, a video package set to "Heaven Knows" by The Pretty Reckless began playing. The promo showed the formation of Catch Point back at the beginning of the summer with CM Punk and TJ Perkins seemingly at the forefront. While the two dominated SmackDown Live for a bit as the WWE and Intercontinental Champions respectively, Peyton Royce and Billie Kay's relationship became the center of controversy thanks to AJ Lee. The two teams' rises to the top of the brand were as far-removed from each other as possible, but the road led to them meeting in a match at SummerSlam. "One, two, three and four. The devil's knocking at your door. Caught in the eye of a dead man's lie. Start your life with your head held high." In the lead-up to the match, Billie and Peyton made matters personal by publicly mentioning the speculation that TJP began seeing Taynara Conti, his protege, back when she was a teenager. TJP took his frustrations out on Paige, an ally to The Iconic Duo, instead, managing to defeat the reigning WWE Champion in a Non-Sanctioned Match. Billie and Peyton got a measure of revenge for themselves and Paige by beating Punk and TJP at SummerSlam, a victory that gave them a SmackDown Tag Team Championship match against Sami Zayn and Cody Rhodes. Punk and TJP would interrupt that match, interjecting themselves into the Tag Team Title scene to set up a Triangle Ladder Match at Unforgiven. "Big man tells you where to go. Tell 'em it's good. Tell 'em okay. Don't do a Goddamn thing they say." The two teams continued their heated rivalry, particularly TJP and Peyton as they fought each other one-on-one on a live stream from the Performance Center. Despite getting caught up in a rather dirty situation with Paige and her mysterious assault, Billie and Peyton overcame the odds and won the SmackDown Tag Team Championships at Unforgiven. Last week, however, a distraction from Nikki Bella allowed Punk and TJP to capitalize and steal the titles from The Iconic Duo, ending their reign after just five days. Now, the two teams settle the score in SmackDown's first-ever televised Hell in a Cell Match. Who will escape with the SmackDown Tag Team Titles? "Oh, Lord, heaven knows we belong way down below. Oh, Lord, tell us so. We belong way down below. Way down below, way down below. Way down below, way down below."
3) HELL IN A CELL MATCH FOR THE SMACKDOWN TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIPS: At the sound of "Shook!" by Sylar, The Iconic Duo walked out onto the stage hand-in-hand, Billie Kay and Peyton Royce laying their eyes on the Hell in a Cell structure. The last time the two - or anyone else for that matter - witnessed the carnage of Hell in a Cell, it was when WWE Champion Paige became the first woman to main event WrestleMania. "Now, it's The Iconic Duo's turn to make history by competing in SmackDown's first-ever televised Hell in a Cell Match, and with Paige still serving her suspension, Billie and Peyton can't rely on anyone saving them in the same way that Paige saved their wedding two months ago," Nigel McGuinness stated on commentary. Billie and Peyton slowly walked into the Cell structure, looking around at the steel fencing that has altered careers before and won't be willing to make any exceptions for the two of them.
As Billie and Peyton became situated in the Hell in a Cell structure, CM Punk and TJ Perkins made their first entrances as the SmackDown Tag Team Champions. Just like The Iconic Duo, this was TJP's first time entering Hell in a Cell, but Punk has Cell matches against The Undertaker, John Cena, Alberto Del Rio and Brock Lesnar under his belt at this point. "In that regard, experience lies on the side of Catch Point, but only for one man. Punk has to trust that TJP will be able to hold his own. They failed at SummerSlam and Unforgiven against Billie and Peyton, and only succeeded last week because of the distraction by Nikki Bella. They're practically unproven against The Iconic Duo, and in all of Punk's Hell in a Cell matches, he was fighting alone. Now, he has someone who can lose the match for himself," Mauro Ranallo said when trying to dissect the psychological state of Catch Point heading into the match.
When the Cell door was locked and the bell sounded, TJP went after Peyton while Punk and Billie began brawling. Both Catch Point members ran the ropes, only for The Iconic Duo to simultaneously deliver Dropkicks. Peyton leaped out of the ring with a Suicide Dive onto Punk and TJP, both men bouncing against one of the Cell walls. Billie exited the ring and rolled Punk back in, connecting with a quick Leg Drop before covering him for a one count. Billie called for Peyton, who helped her wife execute a double-team Vertical Suplex onto Punk. Before they could go for the cover, TJP grabbed Punk's foot and pulled him out of the ring.
Billie and Peyton went after Punk and TJP at ringside, once again brawling, only this time Catch Point managed to get the upper-hand. Punk whipped Bille into the Cell wall while TJP raked Peyton's face against the steel openings. TJP looked underneath the ring for a steel chair, asking that Punk roll Billie back into the ring. After Punk did so, TJP struck Billie across the back with the chair, Punk taking a chair for himself. Punk and TJP stalked Billie, waiting for her to get back up to her feet. Punk and TJP attempted a Conchairto, but Billie was able to evade, causing the chairs to collide with each other. Peyton ascended to the top turnbuckle, leaping off with a Crossbody onto both Catch Point members. Billie and Peyton each picked up one of the steel chairs that Punk and TJP previously held, pulverizing the defending SmackDown Tag Team Champions with them.
Returning to the outside, Billie and Peyton looked underneath the ring, bringing out a table. The two positioned the table in the center of the ring, attempting to lift TJP onto their shoulders for a Double Powerbomb through it. Before they could succeed, Punk grabbed a kendo stick without being seen, using it to thwart Billie and Peyton's plan. Punk relentlessly struck Billie and Peyton repeatedly with the kendo stick, following up by patting Billie on the top of her head with the stick. Punk lifted the kendo stick, intending to deliver one final blow to the skull of Billie. Before he could, Peyton caught him from behind with a low blow! Punk dropped the kendo stick as Peyton retrieved it, leveling Punk across the face with it! TJP, however, was able to slide back into the ring and shoved Peyton into Billie. Billie fell out of the ring and TJP picked Peyton up onto his shoulders, driving her through the table with an Electric Chair! Instead of trying to cover Peyton, TJP took the kendo stick and used it for assistance in applying a Crossface to Peyton! The kendo stick was pushed against Peyton's mouth, 'The Venus Flytrap' trying to fight valiantly to prevent herself from being the reason she and Billie lost their rematch for the Tag Team Titles. When Billie tried re-entering the ring, TJP released the hold on Peyton so that he could hit Billie in the back of the head with the kendo stick! The thud from the bamboo meeting a skull echoed throughout the arena, TJP not allowing Peyton the chance to crawl to the ropes. He grabbed Peyton by her legs, applying a Kneebar in the center of the ring. Peyton was too damaged to be able to carry all of TJP's weight to the ropes while she had her knee twisted, being left with no alternative but to tap out. CM PUNK & TJ PERKINS ARE STILL SMACKDOWN TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS!
At the closing bell, TJ Perkins finally released the Kneebar on Peyton Royce, a sense of heartbreak fell over the Verizon Arena. TJP helped CM Punk up to his feet as the two exited the Hell in a Cell structure together, the official handing them back the SmackDown Tag Team Championships. Catch Point reign supreme at the top of the tag team division, though Punk and TJP now look ahead to entering Manifest Destiny where they compete next Thursday against Jeff Hardy and Kurt Angle respectively.
When TJP's theme song silenced, Peyton was shown in the ring struggling to get to her feet, Billie at ringside having to use the Cell wall to stand up. Peyton rolled out of the ring toward Billie, 'The Femme Fatale' able to grab her wife and ensure that she didn't fall due to her injured knee. Billie and Peyton looked around the Verizon Arena at the WWE Universe members giving them a standing ovation. Not only for their performance tonight, but for their resiliency through every situation they've been put through ever since coming to SmackDown Live. Billie helped Peyton stay on her feet as they headed up the entrance ramp, having to put this loss behind them if they wanted to have a chance at defeating The Young Bucks on Sunday. Once they reached the top of the stage, The Iconic Duo turned around to look at the audience one last time for the evening, and that was when Allie and The Assassins struck. Allie and Rosemary took down Billie while Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville threw Peyton into the stage. The four of them dragged Billie into the Hell in a Cell structure, Rosemary ripping the key away from the official. After Billie was rolled into the ring, Allie wrapped the chain around the door and locked it, Peyton trying to crawl down the stage. In the ring, The Assassins stomped on Billie repeatedly before taking whatever was left from the Tag Team Championship match - steel chairs and a kendo stick - to further punish her. All while Peyton tried ripping the chain off the door, Allie laughing directly in her face.

Sunday September 28th, 2014 The Temple Los Angeles, California
The day had finally arrived. In just a few hours, the doors to the Temple would be opening for the very few WWE Universe members who were able to purchase tickets to the second Unison event. Somehow, RAW General Manager Dario Cueto managed to take an old warehouse that was occasionally used for filming and transform it into his "Temple". The lights were in place. A single titantron screen hanged from a wall. The chairs were sorted on the floor. The ring was still being constructed with a giant Unison logo in the center of it, and the WWE logo blacked out on the turnbuckles. Posters promoting every match on the card were set up around the Temple, Allie sitting directly across from the promotional artwork for the biggest match of her career.
The reigning SmackDown Women's Champion sat quietly and alone on the bleachers, wearing a Nike jacket over her ring gear that was altered so she could wear black jeans to tonight's Deathmatch against WWE Champion Paige. Allie's life flashed before her eyes, but not just because she believed she was going to die tonight. Rather, she believed that tonight was the beginning of the life that she's always dreamt of. A life where she is the single most important person in the world that she inhabits. A world where everyone around her has no choice but to respect her. A world in which she controls the entire professional wrestling industry. From the day Allie began training to become a pro wrestler, she knew she was a star. Now, she has a chance to become the star. Never before has anyone held both the WWE and Women's Championships simultaneously. Tonight, someone will, and Allie is prepared to do whatever she can to make sure that she receives that accolade instead of Paige.
While Allie cycled through memories in her mind, she looked to her left when she noticed Dario approaching her, sitting down next to 'The Queen of Catch'.
Dario: "... Isn't it incredible?"
Allie: "What, the set-up? Yeah, you really turned this s*** hole into a wrestling venue."
Dario: "I meant your career."
Allie: "... Huh?"
Dario: "You never forgot who it was who gave you your first opportunity in the WWE, did you?"
Allie: "... It was you. You made me the assistant to Stephanie McMahon."
Dario: "I know that at the time, it seemed like I only hired you as a way to annoy Stephanie, but I could've taken any girl from the independent scene, or the TNA buyout, or even the WWE roster to fill that role. I chose you, Allie, because I knew that you were on the cusp of becoming a megastar. You just needed that one opportunity, and I was more than happy to give it to you."
Allie: "... Do you want me to say thank you or something?"
Dario: "You don't need to say it because you've already made me proud by just being who you are. I knew that beneath the 'innocent girl' act was a cold-hearted killer. Someone who could bring my most favorite aspect of fighting - violence - to the forefront of WWE. I selfishly wanted to have you on RAW, but I knew that on SmackDown Live, you'd excel just as much. The WWE brass took Matanza out of the championship match that I booked for this show, but they didn't take you out of the main event. You know why? Because they're starting to see in you what I did. This company believes in your potential as the top star. All you have to do is defeat the poster girl tonight and everything you've ever wanted will be yours."
Allie: "... ... ..."
Dario: "Just do everything you've been doing ever since you turned on Becky Lynch. Use that anger... that killer instinct... that ruthless aggression to your advantage and beat Paige. You see that ring, Allie? At the end of the night, you're going to be standing there with two championships when people never even believed you could win one! I don't care what you do to Paige! This is my show, so I want to see as much violence as you're physically capable of executing! Barbed wire! Thumbtacks! Light tubes! Fire! Whatever you have access to, use it to end Paige's career so you can skyrocket yours and become the biggest superstar who ever lived!"
Allie: "... ... I'm going to beat Paige."
Dario: "I know you are. Now, go out there tonight and make me proud! Make your friends proud! Make your father proud! Make yourself proud and find the happiness you've been looking for! Go out there tonight and win the WWE Championship!"
And thus, Unison commenced. The night where the course of history was drastically altered, and the WWE changed forever.

SHOW INTRO: After the airing of the signature WWE intro, a video package began playing with Le Bucherettes' "spider/WAVES" acted as the backing track. Last year, Unison was presented as joint show between WWE and NXT from the Manhattan Center. With RAW General Manager Dario Cueto acting as the sole promoter for the second annual event, the diabolical mind of Dario has led the entire wrestling to a Temple in Los Angeles. "Heatwaves calling for a thunder strike. You’ve tied us up, slowly lost the light." On this night, match-ups that the WWE Universe never believed they'd see - including the likes of John Cena vs. Tetsuya Naito, The Iconic Duo vs. The Young Bucks, and Kenny Omega vs. Kota Ibushi - take place, alongside several championship matches. For the NXT Championship, The Velveteen Dream challenges Bobby Roode. AJ Styles looks to regain the Universal Championship from Pentagon through the power of Christ. "You're a liar. You can’t erase my fight from prophecies. No apologies are wanted. Razors cut your grace." The video closed out with highlights from WWE Champion Paige and SmackDown Women's Champion Allie's heated rivalry as the two compete in a Deathmatch tonight with history at stake. Who will become the first superstar to ever hold both the WWE and Women's Championships? "Injuries are slashed deep open. Messiahs hold them still."
The night where everything changes forever.
Welcome to Unison!
1) LADDER MATCH FOR THE WWE UNITED KINGDOM CHAMPIONSHIP: In the opening contest of Unison, the WWE United Kingdom Championship hanged from the ceiling as six of NXT and PROGRESS Wrestling's brightest young stars competed in a historic Ladder Match. Glenn Joseph joined Mauro Ranallo and Don Callis on commentary for this match as the bell sounded, everyone immediately going after another competitor instead of trying to retrieve a ladder. Toni Storm brawled with Zack Sabre Jr. on the outside, while Pete Dunne battered Will Ospreay's head against the door to Dario Cueto's office. In the ring, Mark Haskins and Marty Scurll had a quick wrestling bout, Scurll trying to break Haskins' fingers before the latter clocked him with a right hand to the jaw. Haskins exited the ring and looked for a ladder underneath the ring, only to be taken out with a Tiger Suplex onto the floor by Dunne! Sabre whipped Toni into the barricade before wrapping her left arm around one of the openings in said barricade, pulling on it with great force. Dunne took a ladder and placed it into the ring, Sabre noticing this.
Sabre removed his attention from Toni in order to go after Dunne, who had already set up a ladder in the center of the ring. The two exchanged strikes until Dunne was able to get the upper-hand after a series of European Uppercuts to Sabre. Ospreay springboarded from the top rope onto the ladder, Dunne having to hurry up the other side if he wanted to stop Ospreay from making history. Dunne and Ospreay traded blows once at the top of the ladder, Scurll running into the ring to push them over. Ospreay and Dunne landed on the top rope, Scurll trying to reposition the ladder before Haskins thwarted his plans with a Yakuza Kick. Haskins tried for the same kick to Sabre, but it was countered into a what started off as a single-leg Boston Crab before Sabre modified it by leaning back and clasping Haskins' neck. Haskins was trapped in the submission hold that was soon broken up when Toni leaped from the top rope with a Double Foot Stomp to Sabre. Toni took the ladder and used it as a battering ram, striking Sabre in the nose with it. Toni had to try quickly setting the ladder back up, but realized she was short on time when Scurll re-entered the ring, this time with his umbrella. Toni dodged the initial strike from it, kicking Scurll in the mid-section before trying to set him up for Strong Zero. Scurll was able to grab the umbrella and sweep the left leg of Toni with it, finally delivering the blow with the umbrella to the side of her head once she was down on the canvas.
With nobody left in the ring, 'The Villain' becoming climbing the ladder, the majority of fans in The Temple chanting "whoop whoop!" after clapping in a rhythm. Scurll had his fingertips on the WWE United Kingdom Championship, but Haskins made chase after him. Haskins met Scurll at the top of the ladder, striking him repeatedly to try knocking him off. Scurll was able to grab Haskins' right hand, singling out his index and middle finger so he could break them! Haskins clutched his hand, Scurll believing that he was in perfect position to retrieve the gold. However, Haskins took his left arm and grabbed Scurll by his head, powering through the pain of having two of his fingers broken in order to plant Scurll with a Falcon Arrow off the top of the ladder! Haskins and Scurll both felt the effects of the high-risk maneuver, both slowly rolling out of the ring while the audience in the Temple continued to roar.
The ladder remained standing, giving Dunne the opening to scale it. The WWE Universe chanted "Bruiserweight!" to no end as Dunne was climbing, but Ospreay joined him at the top of the ladder. Dunne tried fighting off Ospreay with a series of elbow strikes, Ospreay soon falling to the canvas. Dunne reached for the title, but Ospeay springboarded off the second rope and took Dunne down with an OsCutter off the ladder! Dunne and Ospreay both clutched their necks after landing on the canvas, Sabre and Toni exchanging strikes on the ring apron. Sabre chopped Toni across her chest before trying to apply a Kimura, which Toni was able to fight out of by kneeing Sabre in the groin! Toni placed Sabre in position for Strong Zero, spiking the top of his head onto the ring apron! Sabre collapsed to the floor as Toni hurried in the ring, the only superstar left standing. "Come on, Toni! Make history and join the elite class of United Kingdom competitors!" Glenn Joseph exclaimed as the pride of the Gold Coast climbed to the top of the ladder, just a few inches away from claiming the WWE United Kingdom Championship. However, just before Toni could have her moment of glory, the ladder was shoved over by Bea Priestley! Bea, who was only backstage at Unison as a guest, watched as Toni's throat crashed onto the top rope. "What the hell is Bea Priestley doing?! She doesn't even have a contract with NXT!" Mauro Ranallo shouted as the fans in the Temple showered Bea with boos. Toni gasped for air while on her knees, Ospreay leaping toward her with a Hidden Dagger elbow strike to the back of her head! Bea held the ladder in place, screaming at Ospreay to start climbing. 'The Aerial Assassin' quickly made his way to the top of the ladder, unhooking the championship to make history heinously. WILL OSPREAY IS THE FIRST-EVER WWE UNITED KINGDOM CHAMPION!
"Will Ospreay has done it! Ospreay is the first-ever WWE United Kingdom Champion!" Don Callis exclaimed while Mauro Ranallo, Glenn Joseph and the entire audience in Dario Cueto's Temple were left speechless as to what they just saw. Bea Priestley, who was only given clearance by WWE, NXT and PROGRESS Wrestling management to be at Unison as a backstage guest, just cost Toni Storm the chance to become United Kingdom Champion. "After everything that these six competitors went through... Bea Priestley of all people just decided the outcome..." Ranallo said, not able to conceal his disdain. Ospreay hugged Bea with one arm while raising the United Kingdom Title with the other, showing tonight just how desperate he is and the lengths he's willing to go in order to get what he wants. Glenn Joseph, who had a great hand in putting this Ladder Match together, left his seat at the announce table and confronted Ospreay and Bea, point blank asking them, "What the f*** did you two just do?" Ospreay responded by using his shoulder to push Joseph out of the way, taking Bea by the hand so the two could get out of the Temple. Ospreay is the inaugural WWE United Kingdom, but it comes at the expense of any ounce of respect the WWE Universe ever had for him.
THE NEW DAY HOSTS THE SECOND ANNUAL MANIFEST DESTINY PHOTO OP: "Awwwww Los Angeles! Don't you dare be sour! Clap for your Manifest Destiny hosts and feel the power! It's a New Day, yes it is!" With the crowning of Will Ospreay as WWE United Kingdom Champion out of the way, the main roster took center stage at Unison as The New Day headed out into the Temple as the hosts of this year's Manifest Destiny tournament. Kofi Kingston, Big E and Xavier Woods walked onto the roof of Dario Cueto's office, where a camera was set up on a tripod for the photo op. The three superstars allowed the fans in attendance to chant, "New! Day rocks!" repeatedly before proceeding with the photo op, Kingston reminding everyone of his own path in Manifest Destiny last year. "Sure, the tournament didn't go my way. Sure, Xavier Woods tried starting a petition to throw the whole damn thing away. BUT... without Manifest Destiny, the WWE Universe would've never been introduced to your boys, The New Day!" Woods then said that hosting Manifest Destiny this year brings the trio full circle, and they couldn't be any more honored to be given this responsibility. "But before we can start Manifest Destiny... we gotta take a picture," Woods said before Big E, in a grandiose voice, asked for the superstars in the SmackDown Live block to head out to the ring.
Team Blue's opening theme song - "Play" by Marmozets" - sounded as the 12 participants in SmackDown Live's block began walking out to the ring in a line. Intercontinental Champion Samoa Joe, Cody Rhodes, Sami Zayn, Kurt Angle, Rey Mysterio, Jeff Hardy, Matt Riddle, Johnny Gargano, Andrade 'Cien' Almas and last year's winner Dean Ambrose marched through the smoke-filled entranceway in the Temple. Distant behind them were the SmackDown Tag Team Champions CM Punk and TJ Perkins, the latter wearing his old Puma mask as a way of fitting in with the Aztec feel to the event. The 12 men filled the ring, some dressed for the occasion in full suits like Rhodes and Angle. Riddle notably wore flip-flops with a suit, and Ambrose, Punk and TJP sported casual wear.
"... TJP, please take off your mask. You can't hide from the cops. We already know what you look like," Woods said, the fans in the Temple - and most of the SmackDown Live superstars in the ring - laughing. TJP slowly removed the mask, his eyes and mouth open in both shock and anger at Woods' jab at the accusations thrown his way recently about Taynara Conti.
"Alright, we got 12 superstars in the ring now who are ready to take on the beast known as Manifest Destiny. But this year, there ain't just 12 people in the field. We doubled the whole damn thing! So please, everyone. Put your hands together for the combatants in the Monday Night RAW block!" Kingston exclaimed while Woods let a note from his trombone hang on for a few seconds. RAW's theme song - "Break Down the Walls" by Asking Alexandria - hit as the 12 RAW superstars in the tournament walked through the same entranceway as the SmackDown Live stars. United States Champion Seth Rollins, Daniel Bryan, Finn Balor, Aleister Black, Roman Reigns, Derrick Bateman, Kevin Owens, The Miz, Adam Cole, Hardcore Champion Buddy Murphy, Drew McIntyre and Triple H all headed into the Temple in that order, 'The Game' receiving the loudest ovation of the group. "Hunter may have been placed into the tournament by RAW Commissioner Stephanie McMahon just to rub it in Dario Cueto's face that Matanza won't be in Manifest Destiny, but that doesn't change the fact that 'The King of Kings' is going to endure the same grueling schedule as everyone else in the field," Don Callis said on commentary. Behind the 12 RAW block participants was R-Truth, who joined the Manifest Destiny field in the ring for some unexplained reason. Those in the ring who noticed Truth glared at him, Truth smiling and waving to the audience members in the Temple. "... Um... Truth... what are you doing?" Woods asked. Truth asked for a microphone, and upon receiving one, he innocently said he was there for the photo op. "... The photo op... is only for people in Manifest Destiny... and you're not," Big E said in a somber tone, almost as if he hated the idea of breaking Truth's heart with the news. The confused Truth looked around before asking New Day if they were sure. "We're sure, Truth. You're not in," said Kingston. Truth put his head down in disappointment before telling the WWE Universe that he was sorry for the confusion. Truth exited the ring to a warm response, some of the superstars in the ring trying to contain their laughter. "... Okay, now that we can get down to business... Andrade, please get off the ropes," Woods said, pointing out the fact that Andrade 'Cien' Almas was trying to get the picture taken while in his tranquillo pose on the ropes.
"So, when we did this last year, the whole thing went awry and ended in complete anarchy. Our role in this photo op is to make sure that there is peace in that ring, even if for just a few seconds," Woods said, essentially pleading with the Manifest Destiny participants to not start fighting each other. The 24 superstars looked up at the camera, some smiling while others kept their stern "I don't want to be here" expressions. After Kingston took the picture, he thanked the superstars for their cooperation. "But... don't go anywhere just yet," Big E added before New Day took their camera and walked away. The Manifest Destiny participants were left puzzled in the ring until Dario Cueto walked out of his office to a massive ovation from the WWE Universe. Dario said that when he booked Unison, he intended to make it the most star-studded spectacle the world of professional wrestling has ever seen, and looking at the ring, he could see 24 megastars who were just dying to get a jumpstart on the rest of the competition in Manifest Destiny. "That's why right here and right now, we're going to have an impromptu 24-man over-the-top-rope Battle Royal! Ring the bell!"
2) 24-MAN OVER-THE-TOP ROPE BATTLE ROYAL: With no time to prepare or even get out of their ordinary clothes, the 24 participants in this year's Manifest Destiny tournament found themselves in a Battle Royal. Derrick Bateman was the first one to capitalize on the confusion, charging into Drew McIntyre and sending the both of them over the top rope! Derrick Bateman and Drew McIntyre have been eliminated! Even at ringside, Bateman didn't let up on his attack on McIntyre. 'The God of the New Era' completely dismissed the Battle Royal and focused on McIntyre, the two superstars brawling to the backstage area of the Temple. Back in the ring, the superstars barely had any room to move around since the field was still at 22 Manifest Destiny competitors. When Kurt Angle got a hold of Samoa Joe, he attempted to eliminate the Intercontinental Champion, only to have the tables turned and be thrown over the top rope himself. Kurt Angle has been eliminated! After Angle's feet hit the ground, Joe turned around and was charged into by Sami Zayn and Cody Rhodes, eliminating him from the equation. Samoa Joe has been eliminated! On the other side of the ring, Kevin Owens and Roman Reigns got into a scuffle, 'The Prizefighter' throwing a hard jab at the jaw of Reigns. 'The One Man Army' responded by lifting Owens onto his shoulders for a Samoan Drop, letting him fall to the outside. Kevin Owens has been eliminated! The disgruntled Owens slammed both of his hands onto the announce table, letting out an irate scream after being eliminated from the match. While Owens was on his way out of the Temple, he noticed Zayn with his back against the ropes. Owens grabbed Zayn by his feet and pulled him out of the ring, connecting with a Superkick for no reason.
As the field began condensing, some superstars were able to maneuver around the ring with greater ease. Like Rey Mysterio, who springboarded off the second rope for a Crossbody onto Triple H. Mysterio then latched onto the shoulders of Andrade 'Cien' Almas, who was able to throw Mysterio face-first into a top turnbuckle before throwing him out of the ring. Rey Mysterio has been eliminated! After Adam Cole hit Johnny Gargano with the Panama Sunrise, the leader of The Undisputed ERA stood near the ropes, looking out into the crowd that joined him in his, "Adam Cole, bay bay!" taunt. When Cole turned around, he was drilled with Black Mass, Aleister Black successful in sending Cole out of the ring. Adam Cole has been eliminated! Hardcore Champion Buddy Murphy had just leveled United States Champion Seth Rollins with a knee strike before he jumped onto the top rope. Unfortunately for Murphy, Dean Ambrose shoved him off, causing Murphy to crash spine-first onto the ring apron before falling to the floor. Buddy Murphy has been eliminated! Last year's Manifest Destiny winner, Ambrose, turned around and faced a flurry of offense from Jeff Hardy, who was looking for revenge after his loss at Unforgiven. Hardy ran the ropes, only to be Clotheslined over them by Ambrose. Jeff Hardy has been eliminated! The Miz targeted Daniel Bryan and placed him in position for the Skull Crushing Finale, but was caught near his right eye with an elbow. Miz fell over the top rope, but managed to hang on. At least until Roman Reigns delivered a Superman Punch that knocked him off of the apron. The Miz has been eliminated! While Finn Balor and Andrade 'Cien' Almas battled it out, Almas was able to catch him with an elbow strike to the side of his head. Almas put his fist into the air, paying homage to his Ingobernable roots. Triple H wasn't "tranquillo", though, as he grabbed Almas and threw him over the top rope. Andrade 'Cien' Almas has been eliminated!
About half the field remained in the Battle Royal, Rhodes and Zayn continuing the stay on the same page for as long as they could as current tag team partners. However, when Zayn inadvertently caught 'The American Nightmare' with a Disaster Kick, Reigns Clotheslined both men out of the ring! Sami Zayn and Cody Rhodes have been eliminated! 10 superstars were left, Johnny Gargano taking center stage for a moment by drilling Ambrose, Rollins and Punk with Superkicks. Triple H would then kicked Gargano in the mid-section, but 'Johnny Wrestling' was able to send 'The Game' over his head with a Back Body Drop. With Hunter on his knees, Gargano struck with another Superkick! Gargano was on the run of his career until TJP Dropkicked him in the back of his head, Gargano stumbling over the ropes. Johnny Gargano has been eliminated! The WWE Universe members showered TJP with boos, so not an unusual sight to say the least. TJP turned around and took a knee strike to his face from Aleister Black, but before Black could capitalize and eliminate him, the other half of the SmackDown Tag Team Champions, Punk, was able to throw him out. Aleister Black is eliminated! Punk assisted TJP up to his feet, both superstars believing that they stood better chances in the match if they worked as a unit. Matt Riddle ran toward the two of them and was lifted into the air, only to drive them down onto the canvas with a DDT. 'The King of Bros' stood up and kicked his sandals off, the Temple chanting "Bro!" repeatedly while Riddle bopped his head. Riddle charged into Ambrose, who kicked him in the gut and delivered Dirty Deeds before eliminating him. Matt Riddle has been eliminated! Bryan was the next superstar to bite the dust after being Superkicked by Rollins while perched on the top rope. Though he initially held on, a shotgun Dropkick from Balor was able to knock him to the floor. Daniel Bryan has been eliminated! Balor rose to his feet in a corner, fending off Ambrose as 'The Lunatic Fringe' was running toward him. Balor stepped out onto the ring apron, trying to ascend to the top rope until Triple H caught him with a running high knee, getting a measure of revenge for his loss to Balor back at Money in the Bank. Balor was not eliminated at that point, but was once Reigns, his current rival, struck him with a Superman Punch. Finn Balor has been eliminated!
"Six superstars are left in this Battle Royal, and by chance, four of them finished in the top four standings of last year's Manifest Destiny," Mauro Ranallo said, referring to Ambrose, Rollins, Punk and Reigns, with Triple H and TJP acting as the outsiders. Reigns stood his ground as TJP and Punk targeted him, 'The One Man Army' able to fend both off with leaping Clotheslines. When Reigns charged into Rollins for a Spear, the United States Champion caught him with a Superkick. Ambrose took the dazed Reigns, throwing out out of the ring. Roman Reigns has been eliminated! Ambrose was left with no time to gloat over his elimination as Rollins grabbed him from behind, taking the reigning Manifest Destiny champion out of the equation! Dean Ambrose has been eliminated! Rollins, Punk, TJP and Hunter made up the final four, though Rollins' fight in the Battle Royal came to an end rather early after TJP pushed him off the ropes during a Springboard attempt. Seth Rollins has been eliminated! As Hunter got to his feet in the center of the ring, 'The Game' looked around and realized that only three superstars were left, and he was the odd one out as Punk and TJP circled him. Hunter glanced at the SmackDown Tag Team Champions, who were coming off of a victory over The Iconic Duo inside of Hell in a Cell just three days, and gave them the D-X crotch chop before going after Punk. TJP tried to take down Hunter, but was thrown into a corner for his troubles. Punk rammed Hunter into the opposite end of the ring, gaining speed for his patented knee strike in a corner. Hunter, however, was able to lift Punk over his head, sending him out to the floor! CM Punk has been eliminated! Almost immediately afterward, TJP lifted Hunter by his legs, throwing him out of the ring to win the Battle Royal! TJ PERKINS IS VICTORIOUS!
TJ Perkins ran around the ring with his arms raised, soaking in the immensely negative response from the WWE Universe members the packed the Temple. In a field that included former World Championship the likes of Triple H, CM Punk, Derrick Bateman and Kurt Angle... TJP is the one who will be leaving Unison as the victor of the Manifest Destiny preview match. The leader of Catch Point stood on the second rope, taunting the crowd before Dario Cueto entered the ring to raise the hand of one of the evening's winners. Dario then took a microphone, thanking TJP and all of the other Manifest Destiny participants for their performances.
Dario: "Ladies and gentlemen, give it up for TJ Perkins!"
TJP:" Hell yeah! That's right! Your next Manifest Destiny winner! So... what's my prize?"
Dario: "... Your what?"
TJP: "My prize! What's my prize for winning the Battle Royal?"
Dario: "... Nothing."
TJP: "... Nothing? Nothing? You're joking right? You mean to tell me that I just beat 23 other superstars and I don't get anything for it?"
Dario: "... That's right."
TJP: "... Then why did this match even happen?!"
Dario: "I needed to get all of you on the card. That's it."
Dario exited the ring while TJP remained in his ear, irate over the fact that he just won a Battle Royal with no prize involved. As TJP continued to complain, he failed to realize that Triple H was standing behind him. 'The Game' turned TJP around, planting him with a Pedigree! Hunter stood tall in the ring over the prize-less winner, the stage now set for the second Manifest Destiny tournament to begin tomorrow night on RAW.
3) STEEL CAGE MATCH FOR THE NXT WOMEN'S CHAMPIONSHIP: With no placement for the Steel Cage structure to hand high above the ring in the Temple like it would in a normal venue, the on-hanf staff had to set each Cage wall up individually before Nicole Matthews made her way into the ring, the female NXT MVP thus far in 2014 having one final opportunity to regain the championship that she has centered her life around. "When Nicole Matthews came to NXT one year ago, the world expected big things from her. And by all means, she has succeeded, but she's also alienated everyone who has helped her reach superstardom," said Michael Schiavello, who was joining Mauro Ranallo and Don Callis on commentary for this match-up. Nicole stood against a corner, waiting as the lights dimmed and Ember Moon's entrance music sounded. 'The War Goddess' approached the entranceway with stairs as she looked down at the Steel Cage structure that surrounded the woman who she overcame at TakeOver: MSG to capture the NXT Women's Championship. Ember's red eyes pierced through the fencing as she made her way into the ring, the official making sure to step in between the two combatants./font]
At the sound of the bell, Ember and Nicole ran toward each other, locking up as Nicole was able to force Ember against one of the steel walls. Nicole went for a Big Boot to Ember against the steel wall, but the NXT Women's Champion dodged it and Nicole's boot struck the fencing. Ember fired away with a few forearm strikes to Nicole before whipping her into the ropes, attempting a Dropkick off the rebound. Nicole was able to grab Ember's legs, slingshotting her into the wall. Ember's face bounced off of the steel, Nicole taking advantage by throwing her into the opposite wall. Nicole repeatedly hit the grounded Ember with closed fist shots before taking Ember's face to rake it against the openings in the steel. With Ember's face still placed against the wall, Nicole actually kicked the back of her head, Ember quickly reeling herself back while holding her mouth. Nicole continued to take control of the contest, toying with Ember when she had several chances to attempt escaping the Cage if she really wanted to. Instead, Nicole left herself open for comeback from Ember when she asked for the door to be opened, taking her focus off the defending champion. Ember springboarded off the second rope, landing on Nicole with a Crossbody. Ember took Nicole down several more times with Dropkicks before running into her with a European Uppercut that sent Nicole crashing into one of the walls. Ember ascended to the top rope, waiting for her moment to strike with The Eclipse. Ember soared through the air, but Nicole - having been hit with the maneuver several times - found a way to finally counter it by catching Ember and planting with a Reverse DDT.
Trying to map out her escape route at last, Nicole began climbing up one of the walls from a corner, Ember making chase for her not too far behind. At that point, it was essentially a race to the top of the Steel Cage, a race that Ember was able to come out on top of. Ember stood on her knees at the top of the structure, Nicole trying to pull her back into the ring by her hair. Ember, however, managed to fight back and daze Nicole for a long enough period to be able to slide down the steel wall for a Sunset Flip! Nicole landed on the back of her head, practically knocked out while standing on her feet and swinging at the air. Ember hurried to the top rope, leaping off with The Eclipse that granted her the chance to cover Nicole and get the three count. EMBER MOON IS STILL NXT WOMEN'S CHAMPION!
The first result of the evening that the WWE Universe reacted to favorably as Ember Moon stirred to her feet, the official opening the door to retrieve the NXT Women's Championship for her. When Ember had the Women's Title back in her possession, it was essentially a relief for her to know that her war against Nicole Matthews was over. That was Nicole's final opportunity to regain the gold, and because of Ember's resiliency, 'The War Goddess' will be the one who leaves Dario Cueto's Temple with the NXT Women's Championship. Nicole had to make the slow, empty-handed walk to the back while Ember stood at the top of the Steel Cage, raising the gold up in the air with the audience members in the Temple looking on. "And now, Ember can look ahead to... Oh my God, wait a second!" Mauro Ranallo screamed into his headset when Liv Morgan ran down to ringside, hurried to the top of the Cage and pushed Ember off! Ember plunged 15 feet into the center of the ring, Liv standing alone at the top. Liv, who sported pink hair as opposed to the blonde hair that the world became accustomed to, laughed maniacally while Ember lied motionlessly in the ring. 'The Girl' or 'The Blue-Tongued Banshee' or whatever nickname she wants to go by climbed over the Steel Cage and into the ring, staring down at the fallen Ember before taking the Women's Championship and leaving the ring with it. Ember overcame Nicole in the Steel Cage Match, but through a heinous assault, Liv is going to exit the Temple with physical possession of the NXT Women's Championship that does not belong to her.
SMACKDOWN 15TH ANNIVERSARY: An advertisement was shown for SmackDown's 15th Anniversary show, taking place October 16th. While three Manifest Destiny matches are set to take place, there will also be a Women's Evolution Battle Royal taking place featuring female superstars from the past and present of WWE. SmackDown's 15th Anniversary spectacle is live Thursday October 16th on USA.
4) RAW WOMEN'S CHAMPIONSHIP: Over the summer, the first-ever Queen of the Ring tournament took place over at Full Sail University and the CFE Arena, and the outcome was Dakota Kai besting Ruby Riott to earn a main roster contract and Women's Championship opportunity at Unison. Dakota opted to arrive on RAW and chase Sasha Banks for her gold, resulting in tonight's RAW Women's Title bout. Dakota headed out to the ring to warm response, Don Callis questioning if Dakota is ready to be included in the same conversation as the superstars who have held the Women's Title. "AJ Lee, Alexa Bliss, Emma, Becky Lynch and Allie. Just those names alone from this year are the ones who Dakota is fighting to join the ranks of. We all know that she's talented, there is no denying that, but being a good professional wrestler doesn't automatically make someone a WWE superstar," Callis said, Mauro Ranallo arguing that winning the Queen of the Ring tournament put Dakota in that discussion. As Dakota waited in the ring, Sasha Banks made her entrance without her partner in crime Bayley, whom Dario Cueto barred from even entering the Temple since he wants there to be an even playing field in this contest. 'The Boss' doesn't have the ace in the hole that she used to steal the RAW Women's Title from Alexa Bliss two weeks ago at Payback, so if she wants to overcome 'The Captain of Team Kick', she'll have to rely solely on her own skills and abilities. And probably a bit of luck for that matter.
The match began with Sasha and Dakota teasing a test of strength, but Dakota just kicked Sasha's right hand away. Dakota wrapped her arms around Sasha, attempting a German Suplex. Sasha was able to get a hold of the ropes, the official beginning the count that Dakota would have to comply to. Sasha caught Dakota near her left eye with an elbow strike, breaking herself free. Sasha ran toward Dakota, who managed to pick up the RAW Women's Champion for a Tilt-a-Whirl Backbreaker. Dakota got the cover, but Sasha quickly kicked out at one. Dakota brought Sasha back up to her feet, running the ropes before Sasha was able to leap toward Dakota with a Hurricanrana. Dakota quickly got back up to her feet, running into what looked like a one-knee Codebreaker from Sasha. 'The Boss' got the cover, but Dakota managed to get a shoulder up.
"You think you're better than me?! I'm 'The Boss'!" Sasha shouted in Dakota's face before slapping her. Dakota sprang to her feet and lifted Sasha off her feet, ramming her into a corner for a series of shoulder thrusts. Sasha managed to get her knees up during one of the attempts, Dakota's shoulder taking every bit of the impact. Sasha seated herself on a top turnbuckle, grabbing Dakota by her head to strike her a few times. Sasha then made the mistake of trying to headbutt her opponent, forgetting the Dakota is of Samoan descent. Sasha dazed herself while still perched on the top turnbuckle, Dakota finding her opening to take Sasha down with a Frankensteiner! Both women were down and out for a moment, the fans in the Temple applauding them. As Sasha and Dakota began crawling toward one another, the match was interrupted by two of RAW's newest acquisitions, Charlotte Flair and Tessa Blanchard. DOUBLE DISQUALIFICATION FINISH; SASHA BANKS IS STILL RAW WOMEN'S CHAMPION!
"Charlotte Flair and Tessa Blanchard are here! What the hell are they doing?!" Mauro Ranallo questioned as the match was thrown out the window and ruled a double disqualification. Charlotte went after Dakota Kai, the woman who eliminated her from the Queen of the Ring tournament a few weeks ago, while Tessa focused on battering Sasha Banks. Pointing out the history between Charlotte's and Tessa's fathers that dates back to the Four Horsemen, Don Callis was able to make sense of the attack, believing that Charlotte and Tessa are trying to carry out the Horsemen's legacy in the modern era's women's division. Tessa pulled Sasha to the outside and planted her with a Hammerlock DDT while Charlotte locked in the Figure Eight on Dakota in the center of the ring. Officials had to restrain Charlotte and pull her off of Dakota, Tessa trying to keep them at bay. Once Charlotte released the Figure Eight, she threw in a "Woo!" into Dakota's face as her calling card of sort. Charlotte and Tessa exited the ring, leaving their mark on the women's division by disrupting the RAW Women's Title bout here at Unison.
5) SHANE MCMAHON VS. MATANZA CUETO: One of the most high-stakes match-ups of the evening, and a bout that wasn't even officially confirmed until RAW last week. RAW General Manager Dario Cueto lead his 'Monster' of a brother, Matanza Cueto, out to the ring from his office, Matanza's body language showing that he was especially fuming after having his promised Universal Championship opportunity at this event be ripped away from him by RAW Commissioner Stephanie McMahon. Now, Dario puts his job on the line when he instills his trust in Matanza to get his first win at a major show. As Matanza paced back-and-forth in the ring, Shane McMahon's entrance music sounded to a big pop from the WWE Universe members in the Temple. The SmackDown Live Commissioner was risking almost as much as Dario is because if Matanza is victorious, then Dario will be allowed to choose the new General Manager of SmackDown Live. "Dario would literally be able to pick anyone for that position. Anyone, and giving him that much power is the last thing Shane needs for his show that has already collapsed into chaos," Nigel McGuinness said, acting as the SmackDown Live representative for a match that can have major implications on his brand's future.
As soon as Shane got into the ring, he charged into Matanza, trying to gain control of the match early on by bombarding 'The Monster' with left and right hand shots. Matanza easily shoved Shane away, but Shane quickly tried pouncing on him again. This time, Matanza lifted Shane over the top rope, Shane falling to the floor while his face smacked the ring apron. Dario watched from ringside and taunted Shane while Matanza went after the SmackDown Live General Manager, able to stay outside for as long as he wanted since he knew he had that leverage over the officiating. Matanza picked up Shane and threw him against the gated barricade before looking underneath the ring to bring out two steel chairs. Matanza set the chairs up seated against each other before hoisting Shane onto his shoulders for a Powerbomb. Shane fired away with closed-fist shots for his life, freeing himself from the clutches of 'The Monster'. Shane ran toward Matanza, who was able to throw Shane over his head with a Back Body Drop onto the two chairs!
"You think I have a shot at the position?" Don Callis asked when it looked like Shane was done for. Matanza rolled Shane's carcass into the ring before ascending to the top rope, trying to finish off the SmackDown Live Commissioner with a high-risk move. Matanza soared through the air with a Diving Headbutt, only for Shane to roll out of harm's way. As Matanza staggered to his feet, Shane grabbed one of the steel chairs that he crashed through moments ago. He took the nearly-broken chair and began battering Matanza with it, Dario shouting at Matanza to defend himself. Matanza grabbed the chair in his hands as it was being swung at him, Shane retaliating with a kick to the mid-section. Matanza dropped the chair, enabling Shane to deliver a DDT onto it. With Matanza down, Shane headed to the top rope, trying to maintain his balance as Dario went after him. Shane kicked Dario off the ring apron, the RAW General Manager running to his office afterward. Shane then leaped off the top rope with a Shooting Star Press right onto Matanza, though 'The Monster' was able to kick out at two. The winded Shane used the ropes to get to his feet, Dario re-emerging from his office with something hidden in his suit jacket. Shane kicked Dario through the ropes, finally having enough of the man who has tried antagonizing him for the last month. Shane fired off with rapid strikes to Dario before throwing him into the ring, looking underneath the squared circle for a trash can. Shane positioned Dario in a corner and placed the trash can in front of him, making his way over to the opposite corner for one of his signature high-risk maneuvers. Shane looked out at the sea of WWE Universe members who cheered him before delivering an extra satisfying Coast to Coast to Dario, right in the center of his own Temple. During all of that, however, Matanza picked up the object that Dario retrieved from his office, that being his bull statue. When Shane turned around, he was drilled with the statue to his head by Matanza! 'The Monster' scooped Shane off of the canvas, hitting Wrath of the Gods to get the cover and victory. MATANZA CUETO IS VICTORIOUS!
Matanza Cueto rose to his feet to a negative response from everyone in the Temple, raising his arms after scoring his first win at a major event since arriving to WWE. "... Dario Cueto gets to choose the new SmackDown Live GM..." said Mauro Ranallo, realizing what Matanza's victory means to the future of the wrestling landscape. Matanza took the fallen body of his brother, carrying him back into his office while Shane slowly came to in the ring, having to come to terms with the fact that if Dario purposely selects a General Manager who will only plunge SmackDown Live into further disarray, it would be his fault. Who will Dario name as the new General Manager of the blue brand, and when will he do it?
HELL OF WAR PREVIEW: An advertisement was shown for Monday Night RAW's next Pay-Per-View outing, Hell of War. In the main event, the first-ever Hell of War Match takes place as Emma and Alexa Bliss settle their rivalry with a future Universal Championship opportunity at stake. In Dario Cueto's take on the Three Stages of Hell Match, Emma and Alexa will start off by doing battle in a First Blood Match. Then, they'll compete in a No Holds Barred contest. And if a third fall is necessary, it'll be contested in an Ambulance Match. Hell of War is live on Saturday October 25th on Pay-Per-View and the WWE Network.
6) THE YOUNG BUCKS VS. THE ICONIC DUO: "Why are we here? Why is this match happening? Like... seriously. Why?" asked Don Callis as a graphic appeared for the next match-up to take place at Unison, and one that received a monstrous ovation from the live audience in the Temple because they knew they were about to witness one of the biggest car crashes in the history of tag team wrestling. "By the way, this rundown sheet we were given by Dario Cueto earlier says that this is a Tornado Tag Team Match, because of course it is," Nigel McGuinness inputted. As the lights in the Temple dimmed, "Shook!" by Sylar sounded as Billie Kay and Peyton Royce walked through the crowd to head down the staircase entrance, Peyton noticeably limping after sustaining a knee injury on SmackDown in the Hell in a Cell Match against CM Punk and TJ Pekrins. "And keep in mind, Don, that the injury was only aggravated when she was ambushed by Allie and The Assassins," Mauro Ranallo stated. The Iconic Duo headed into the ring, wearing their same street-inspired gear from Unforgiven to show that they weren't in the mood to just have a wrestling match against one of the most polarizing tag teams in the world today. They were there to fight them and let out every bit of pent up frustration that Catch Point, The Bella Twins, The Assassins, and in Peyton's case, Paige, had all caused them as of late. Billie and Peyton stood in the ring as a portion of the crowd chanted "Iconic!" while the others engaged in some form of either a "Young Bucks!" or "Too Sweet!" chant. When The Young Bucks' entrance music sounded, whether the fans were pleased or not, they reacted in some manner to the sight of Nick and Matt Jackson making their entrance at a WWE-sanctioned event. "There is no middle ground with this team. You either love The Young Bucks and everything they stand for, or you despise and want nothing more than to watch The Iconic Duo send them back to New Japan Pro Wrestling. But no matter which way you look at it, this is a spectacle," said Ranallo while Nick and Matt headed into the ring.
After The Young Bucks finished posing, they started off the match with double Superkicks to Peyton! Billie tried defending her wife as the bell sounded, but Nick and Matt were able to overpower her easily. Nick headed out to the ring apron as Matt lifted Billie onto his shoulders for a Powerbomb, throwing her into a kick from Nick! Billie held the back of her head while rolling out of the ring, Matt leaping onto her with a Tope Con Hilo! Matt looked out at the audience members, putting up the "Too Sweet" hand gesture before Peyton rolled Nick up in the ring, the latter able to kick out in time. Nick attempted another Superkick, but Peyton caught his leg and took him down with a Dragon Screw. Peyton got to her feet as Matt ran toward her for a Spear, 'The Venus Fly Trap' able to get her knee up in time to prevent it. Billie then slid back into the ring and caught Matt from behind, spiking both him and herself with an uncharacteristic Reverse Rana! Peyton helped the dazed Billie to her feet, the two standing tall for a moment with The Young Bucks down and out. "Iconic!" they shouted before posing with their hands to their hips, the fans in the Temple cheering them on.
Billie and Peyton tried their hands at the isolation technique that The Young Bucks just tried utilizing against them, throwing Nick out of the ring to focus on punishing Matt. Billie held out her right knee, Peyton driving Matt's face into it. The Iconic Duo then seated Matt against a corner, driving their shoes into his collarbones. When Nick rolled back into the ring, Billie went after him, delivering a Big Boot that sent him into a corner. Billie and Peyton attempted to Irish Whip Matt and Nick into each other, but The Young Bucks were able to turn the tables by throwing The Iconic Duo into one another. Billie's right knee accidentally collided with Peyton's injured one, Matt able to throw Nick over his head so he could plant Billie face-first into the canvas with an X-factor. Nick then stomped on the injured knee of Peyton, keeping her in place so that Matt could connect with another Superkick to her. Nick then rolled Peyton out of the ring, turning her upside down in a Tombstone Piledriver positioned while Matt held onto the top rope, the fans in the Temple standing for something knew they knew was only seconds away. Matt springboarded off the top rope and did a full font-flip, helping Nick spike Peyton onto her head with a Meltzer Driver to the floor! "Now what are they doing?!" Ranallo exclaimed as Matt carried Peyton up the staircase, carelessly throwing her onto the roof of Dario's office. He left her there before returning to his brother, Billie now alone in the ring to fend off one of the world's top tag teams by herself.
Throwing caution to the wind, Billie struck Matt with her right hand before doing the same to Nick, trying to strike and chop The Young Bucks with every bit of energy she could gather. She then ran the ropes for a Clothesline to the two brothers, only to be hit with double Superkicks. The Young Bucks became extra brash at that point, believing it was only a matter of time before they finished off Billie with Peyton having to watch from the top of Dario's office. While Billie was down on her knees, Matt and Nick threw a barrage of Superkicks her way, followed by More Bang For Your Buck before looking up at Peyton, who had finally gotten to her feet. Peyton looked at the distance between herself and The Young Bucks, knowing that if she tried to head back into the ring by taking the staircase, Billie would already be defeated by that point. Matt and Nick mocked Peyton before giving the "Suck It" gesture to her, believing that she was powerless. That was when Peyton fought through the pain shooting to her injured knee and ran toward the edge of Dario's office, jumping off into the ring with a Crossbody to The Young Bucks! "Mama mia! Oh my God! Peyton! Royce! Just! Did! That!" Ranallo screamed over the raucous fans in the Temple who couldn't believe the death-defying leap of faith that Peyton just took to save Billie. All four participants in the match lied on the canvas, Billie being the first to get back to a vertical base. She quickly helped Peyton to her feet, grabbing her wife's face and telling her to never do that again, referring to the jump. Matt staggered to his feet, The Iconic Duo charging into him with a Spinning Heel Kick and Big Boot combination. When Matt rolled out of the ring, Billie took Nick and did most of the work lifting him up for the Double Powerbomb in order to keep Peyton from having to push herself any further. Nick was dropped onto his back in the center of the ring, Billie covering him to secure the victory in the chaotic dream match. THE ICONIC DUO IS VICTORIOUS!
"... Even with matches against the likes of Catch Point, Cody Rhodes and Sami Zayn under their belt, that might have been the standout performance in the careers of Billie Kay and Peyton Royce!" Mauro Ranallo stated while The Iconic Duo got to their feet, Billie having to help Peyton stand. The two hugged each other in the center of the ring, taking this win with the utmost gratitude after having their SmackDown Tag Team Championship reign collapse over the last two weeks thank to the likes of Catch Point and The Assassins. Tonight, however, they were able to overcome a top-tier tag team like The Young Bucks and show them what tag team wrestling in WWE is about. The replay of Peyton's leap form the top of Dario Cueto's office into the ring was shown several times, all commentators praising it as one of the most incredible things they'd ever seen in the industry. Billie assisted Peyton to the backstage area, both Iconic Duo members hoping that this could be the beginning of the point in their careers where they can breathe and not worry about anyone else coming at their necks.
That'd be nice, right? I think it'd be nice. But we can't have nice things.
7) JOHN CENA VS. TETSUYA NAITO: Originally, Kazuchika Okada was set to be John Cena's opponent here tonight, but 'The Rainmaker' rejected the booking from Dario Cueto once he learned of the Temple's capacity that resembles a single-camera G1 Climax show rather than the usual WWE scale arenas. With Okada out of Unison, the most popular member of the New Japan Pro Wrestling roster stepped up. Tetsuya Naito's entrance music sounded to a massive ovation from the WWE Universe, the overwhelming majority about to watch the Los Ingobernables de Japon leader in person for the first time. Naito walked down the staircase, fist bumping everyone who held their hands for him. "I sound like a broken record saying this after the Young Bucks and Iconic Duo match-up, but we are in for a contest that no one ever believed we'd see," Mauro Ranallo said while Naito stepped into the ring, looking around the Temple while adjusting hit hat. The chants for Naito continued before switching to the mixed reaction that Cena has become synonymous with. Cena headed into the Temple through the normal aisleway, making his first appearance at a WWE event since losing the Intercontinental Championship to Samoa Joe two weeks ago at Unforgiven. Cena slid into the ring and looked across from him at Naito, who stared back at 'The Franchise Player' with a blank expression, almost as if he wasn't at all fazed by the idea of taking on the biggest star in WWE. "That's because Naito has a claim to being the biggest star in New Japan, a badge that he wears with the mindset that it supersedes being the face of the WWE," Don Callis said.
When the bell sounded, Cena and Naito both stood their ground, the latter removing his hat and slowly giving it to the official. Naito then took the hat back, placing it on his head as he looked out at the sea of fans who raised their fists. Naito put his own fist up and gave his signature eye taunt, Cena finally having enough of Naito's act. Cena charged into Naito and began firing away with strikes, the Temple showering him with boos. Cena kicked Naito in the mid-section before whipping him into the opposite corner, splashing into him thereafter. Cena went for a Lariat, which Naito was able to roll away from. Naito ran into Cena with a Dropkick, Cena sliding out of the ring. Naito ran the ropes and teased a Plancha of some sort, only to roll into the center of the ring, posing on his side while raising his fist. Cena, who normally keeps his composure, became increasingly annoyed as he headed back into the ring. Naito was able to grab Cena's right leg, taking him down with a Dragon Screw. Naito delivered a quick Elbow Drop to Cena before covering, Cena able to power out of the pin attempt.
Naito quickly grabbed Cena's arm, rolling him into another pin. After Cena kicked out yet again, both men returned to a vertical base, Naito dodging a strike before planting Cena onto the back of his head and neck with a German Suplex. Naito gave Cena little time to recover, grasping his neck for a Tornado DDT that was assisted by the second rope. Naito rose to his feet while standing tall over Cena, the audience members in the Temple once again applauding the leader of Los Ingobernables de Japon. Naito pulled Cena out underneath the bottom rope, positioning his head against the steel steps before running into it with a kick! Naito took Cena's carcass back into the center of the ring before ascending to the top rope. Naito was looking for a Missile Dropkick, but Cena managed to catch his legs in mid-air and take him down for an STF. Cena reeled back with all of his might, Naito struggling to get to the ropes while keeping his hand raised in the event that the pain become too unbearable and would have to submit. Thankfully for Naito, he was able to make it to the bottom rope, Cena releasing the hold to try reapplying it in the center of the canvas. Naito was able to kick Cena away, but when Naito bounced back on the ropes, Cena caught him with a Lariat that just about took Naito's head off! Cena brought Naito onto his shoulders, looking for the Attitude Adjustment. Somehow, Naito was able to land on his feet, hitting Cena with a back elbow strike. Naito ran toward Cena, floating over for Destino! Naito got the cover, but Cena was able to get a shoulder up just in time. Naito backed against a corner, waiting patiently for Cena to stagger back into a vertical base. Naito tried executing his second Destino, but this time, Cena was able to catch him on his shoulders and deliver the AA! Cena kept his grip on Naito's wrist and rolled him into position for a second AA, throwing Naito directly onto his back before getting the cover for the win. JOHN CENA IS VICTORIOUS!
"It's not against Kazuchika Okada, but a victory over Tetsuya Naito is just as impactful of a message!" Mauro Ranallo exclaimed as John Cena slowly stood to his feet, his arm being raised in victory by the official. After losing the Intercontinental Championship two weeks ago, it was uncertain where Cena's future with WWE lied. It's no secret that he's on his way to taking on more endeavors in the realm of Hollywood, and if this marks the beginning of the end of Cena's tenure at the top of the professional wrestling mountain, he at least had the chance to put on an instant classic against one of the most popular names in the industry. Cena took Naito's Los Ingobernables de Japon hat from ringside, handing it back to him in a show of respect. Cena exited the ring and headed to the backstage area, the WWE Universe unsure of the next time they would see him.
8) KOTA IBUSHI VS. KENNY OMEGA: Prior to the conclusion of NXT TakeOver: MSG, the concept of a match between Kenny Omega and Kota Ibushi built on retribution seemed unfathomable. The two had been tag team partners for a number of years, and when the WWE's partnership with New Japan Pro Wrestling was announced, Ibushi became embroiled in the center of it. Ibushi's early success in WWE made the decision for Omega to join the promotion easier, and it was inevitable that they'd cross paths in NXT. But never like this, the WWE Universe thought. Ibushi made his entrance first through the regular tunnel, keeping his down while letting out deep breaths filled with anxiety before it was time to go to war with the man he thought he was inseparable from. "The bond between The Golden Lovers is one that just made sense. I've known Kenny Omega fora very long time now, and I'd be lying if I said that I didn't think he was capable of something like this. But given how close he and Ibushi were, I hoped that Omega's dark side wouldn't show in this scenario," Don Callis said. Ibushi stood in a corner, not looking up at the stairway that he knew his adversary would be marching down. Omega's entrance music sounded as 'The Best Bout Machine' headed out through the audience, wearing a half-mask that resembled something out of The Terminator. Omega grinned at Ibushi, believing that he already had the psychological advantage because he's ready to take out Ibushi, whereas he can't say the same for the opposite. And as we learned this past week on NXT, the stakes of this match have been raised because the winner will qualify for the Elimination Chamber Match at TakeOver: Dallas on Survivor Series weekend for the NXT Championship.
When the bell sounded to begin the contest, Ibushi stood still while Omega slowly approached his former tag team partner. Ibushi raised his head and glanced at Omega for the first time since TakeOver: MSG, his expression showing that he couldn't even recognize the man he once knew. Omega removed his mask and threw it to the side before shoving Ibushi by his face, trying to enrage him enough to finally get him to show signs of aggression. Ibushi pushed Omega's hand away, 'The Best Bout Machine' laughing to himself before being hit with a heavy slap from Ibushi! Omega stumbled back as Ibushi continued to strike him, getting his former tag team partner in a corner. Ibushi kicked Omega in the mid-section before trying to whip him into the opposite set of turnbuckles, though Omega was able to turn the tables and connect with a knee to Ibushi's ribs. Omega placed Ibushi in a corner and delivered a series of Knife Edge Chops, each one seemingly fueling Ibushi even more. Ibushi took both his hands and pressed his palms against Omega's chest as hard as he could, kicking Omega repeatedly in the shoulder thereafter. Omega grabbed Ibushi's leg and took him down with a Dragon Screw, keeping a grip on his leg before grabbing the other. Omega slingshotted Ibushi into a corner, Ibushi able to plant his feet onto the second rope. Ibushi launched himself onto Omega with a Crossbody, getting the cover for a two count.
After Omega kicked out, Ibushi rolled toward the ropes, 'The Best Bout Machine' trying to hit the V-Trigger. Ibushi moved out of harm's way, Omega stumbling over the ropes. Ibushi ran into a corner, flying onto Omega with a Triangle Moonsaul! Ibushi grabbed Omega and rolled him back into the ring, connecting with kicks to his chest. Ibushi ran the ropes and drove his foot into Omega's face with a Penalty Kick, following up with a standing Corkscrew Moonsault! Once again, Omega was able to kick, Ibushi perhaps expecting it since he knew Omega wouldn't go down without more of a struggle. Ibushi brought Omega over to the ring apron, standing him up before stepping onto the second rope. Ibushi had a deadlift maneuver in mind, but it was countered when Omega grabbed Ibushi by his hair and pulled him forward, Ibushi planting his forehead onto the apron! Both men fell out of the ring, but Omega was at least able to land on his feet. Ibushi remained on his knees, reaching out with his arms and trying to just get a grasp for where he was. Omega ran toward Ibushi, leveling him with a V-Trigger! 'The Best Bout Machine' tried capitalizing quickly, rolling Ibushi into the ring. Omega connected with his second V-Trigger before bringing Ibushi onto his shoulders, looking to finish off his former tag team partner with the One-Winged Angel. However, Ibushi was able to slide out of Omega's grasp, planting him with a bridging German Suplex! Omega was able to kick out at two, but as soon as Ibushi got to his feet, he drilled Omega with a vicious Roundhouse Kick! Ibushi climbed to the top rope, keeping his back turned to Omega while focusing all of his attention on the Phoenix Splash he was about to attempt. As Ibushi was flying through the air, Omega jumped to his feet and stuck out his right knee, Ibushi's face crashing right onto it! Not wasting any more time, Omega hit Ibushi with the One-Winged Angel at last, covering him to secure the victory. KENNY OMEGA IS VICTORIOUS!
In the eyes of many WWE Universe members both in the Temple and watching around the world, justice wasn't served as Kenny Omega would be rewarded for his betrayal with an opportunity at the NXT Championship. Omega rose to his feet as he was declared the winner, glaring down at the fallen Ibushi while pointing his signature hand gun gesture at him. "None of us knew how Kota Ibushi would fare in this contest given the fact that he never wanted to fight Kenny Omega in the first place. Ibushi showed up. Ibushi fought like it was the biggest battle of his career because it was. But ultimately, Kenny Omega made his case as to why he believes Ibushi was simply holding him back in The Golden Lovers. And for Omega's sake, he better hope that he walks out of the Elimination Chamber at TakeOver: Dallas with the NXT Championship because that might be the only shot he has at not someday regretting his actions," Mauro Ranallo stated. Omega's spot in the Elimination Chamber match for the NXT Title has been solidified, but as for Ibushi, who knows where he goes from here having lost the war against the man he once called his 'Golden Lover'.
9) NXT CHAMPIONSHIP: At the sound of the opening to Velveteen Dream's entrance music, the lights in the Temple turned purple as the WWE Universe stood to their feet for the arrival of NXT's most over-the-top, flamboyant personality the brand has ever seen. Dream walked out through the crowd, decked out in an Aztec-inspired headdress. Dream stood on top of Dario's office, spreading his arms out while Mauro Ranallo mentioned on commentary that just like how Bayley was barred from the Temple for Sasha Banks' match earlier, all members of 423-GET-FAME are not cleared to be anywhere near the ringside area for the biggest match in the career of The Velveteen Dream. "That I don't see being an issue, Mauro. Velveteen Dream is what the kids nowadays would call 'extra' and it's that 'extra' element to his persona that I don't believe Bobby Roode is ready for," Michael Schiavello stated, Don Callis asking him to never say "extra" like that again. As Dream settled in the ring, the lights in the temple suddenly shut, cutting his entrance short by a few more seconds than he anticipated. When Roode's 'Glorious' theme music hit, the NXT Champion was shown in the regular entranceway, spinning around on his special platform. Roode slowly made his way into the ring, his demeanor showing that while he claimed to not take the challenge of The Velveteen Dream seriously, this was still an NXT Title bout. He had to stay focused regardless.
After the opening bell sounded, Dream and Roode slowly approached one another for a test of strength, but all Dream did was press his chest against Roode's. The defending NXT Champion backed away and fell to the canvas, Dream still standing with a stoic expression. Roode didn't want to give Dream the satisfaction of watching his mind games pay off, rising back to his feet to execute a double leg takedown. Roode was able to deliver multiple shots before Dream pushed him off. Roode charged toward Dream, who scooped him onto his shoulders for a Rolling Death Valley Driver. Dream rushed to the top rope, looking for the Purple Rainmaker very early on. Roode was able to quickly get to his feet, Dream leaping over him. Roode was taken down with a Hip Toss from his challenger. Roode backed against a corner, Dream chopping him repeatedly before whipping him into the opposite corner. After running into Roode with a Clothesline, Dream picked him up for an Atomic Drop, but Roode was able to fall back on his feet. Roode shoved Dream into the ropes, throwing him over. Dream was able to land on the ring apron, though Roode soon connected with a heavy elbow strike. Roode exited the ring and went after Dream, ramming him into the gated barricade. 'The Glorious One' brought Dream over to the announce table, bouncing his face off of it before pushing all of the monitors out of the way. Roode stood on the announce table and looked out at the sold out crowd in the Temple, getting ready to shout "Glorious!" as loudly as he could. However, Roode being distracted with his own vanity allowed Dream to pull him down by his legs, Roode falling back-first onto the table that didn't break. Dream turned back and looked at the nearest ring post, running over to the top of it. Dream took the biggest gamble of his career by soaring through the air with the Purple Rainmaker to Roode through the announce table!
"All Velveteen Dream has to do is get Roode back into the ring, and we'll have a new NXT Champion!" Ranallo exclaimed. Dream had to pick up Roode and roll him underneath the bottom rope, covering him for what was only a two count since he gave 'The Glorious One' a bit too much time to recover. Dream staggered to his feet and waited for Roode to do the same, mocking his signature pose before trying to take the humiliation a step further, setting up Roode for his own Glorious DDT. Roode, however, was able to roll Dream up, getting him prone on his knees for the real execution of The Glorious DDT. Roode spiked Dream onto the top of his head, covering his adversary for what he thought would be his first successful defense of the NXT Title. Somehow, Dream was able to get a shoulder up. The crowd came unglued while Roode's shocked expression told the entire story, not able to fathom how Dream kicked out of his finishing maneuver. Remembering that Dream attempted the Glorious DDT, Roode decided to play the game himself, ascending to the top rope for a Purple Rainmaker. Roode leaped off the top, but Dream rolled out of the way. After Roode got to his feet, Dream charged toward him with a leaping Clothesline. Roode dodged the attack, but the official didn't. Dream inadvertently took him out, Roode turning him around for a Spinebuster. Dream kept his grip on Roode's neck, preventing him from slamming him to the mat. Dream locked Roode's head in place for a Spike DDT, getting the cover afterward and a visual pin on the NXT Champion. But because the official was still out, Dream was not yet the champion. Dream tried reviving the official while Roode rolled to the outside. Dream made chase for 'The Glorious One' and ended up taking a Back Body Drop onto the staircase! Dream clutched at his back, feeling every effect possible from the fall as Roode tossed him back into the ring. Roode was able to deliver the Glorious DDT, holding onto Dream so that he could hit a second one! Roode got the cover on Dream, the official slowly crawling toward the superstars to make the three count. BOBBY ROODE IS STILL NXT CHAMPION!
The WWE Universe members in the Temple express their displeasure for the outcome as Bobby Roode was handed back the NXT Championship after overcoming The Velveteen Dream in one of the most grueling bouts of his career. Dream remained face-down on the canvas, Roode glancing at him for a bit while perhaps affirming in his mind that he was wrong about Dream not being a formidable challenger for him. "No one will take anything away from The Velveteen Dream's performance. He came here tonight to become the NXT Champion, but in the end, being 'Glorious' turns out once again to be the key to success in NXT," Don Callis said while Roode left to the backstage area, raising the NXT Championship that he'll now be carrying into Dallas on Survivor Series weekend to defend in NXT's first-ever Elimination Chamber Match.
10) UNIVERSAL CHAMPIONSHIP: Again, RAW General Manager Dario Cueto ordered anyone who might have an influence in the outcome of this match to stay away from the Temple. Without Bray Wyatt, Randy Orton or Maxine by the side of Pentagon, AJ Styles was hoping and praying that with adequate time to prepare, he'd be able to reclaim the Universal Championship. Styles walked down the staircase entranceway, keeping his hands together in a prayer notion while the fans to his left and right booed him. "Metaphorically walking through the valley of the shadow of death, AJ Styles is hoping to have the power of Christ resonate throughout the hellish, demonic Temple after he was bested by Pentagon two weeks ago," Mauro Ranallo said while Styles stood silently in the ring, continuing to pray to his lord while ignoring the jeers from the WWE Universe. When Pentagon's entrance music sounded, the Temple inhabitants came to their feet for the man who feels 'Cero Miedo' and defending Universal Champion. Pentagon came out through the regular tunnel, raising the gold that he captured as part of a deal with Dario that saw him give up his Manifest Destiny spot in exchange for a title opportunity against Styles. Pentagon capitalized on that opportunity, but now, he has a fresh Styles standing across the ring from him. Just before the match could begin, Dario emerged from his office, holding and icepack to his head after taking a Coast-to-Coast from Shane McMahon earlier in the show. The RAW General Manager said that because the WWE Universe has already seen Pentagon and Styles go at it in a traditional wrestling bout, he wanted to switch things up in order to provide the biggest possible Universal Championship match for Unison. Therefore, this match will be No Disqualifications. "Ring the bell!"
At the sound of the opening bell, Pentagon and Styles ran toward each other, Styles kicking the champion in his thigh. Pentagon responded with an even harder kick, causing Styles to lose his balance. Pentagon struck Styles repeatedly with right and left hand punches, cornering him before backing away so he could charge in for a Splash. Styles sidestepped Pentagon, rolling him into the center of the canvas for an attempt the Calf Crusher. Pentagon reached the ropes, though in a No Disqualification match, that wouldn't really do him any good. Pentagon managed to use the rope to pull himself out of the ring, Styles then leaping out of the ring for a Phenomenal Forearm. Pentagon was able to catch Styles in mid-air with a Superkick. Pentagon picked Styles up, motioning to the fans in their seats to move out of the way. Once they did so, Styles was thrown into the chairs, knocking him back several rows. Pentagon picked up chairs at random, throwing them onto 'The Man of God' over and over again. Pentagon brought Styles onto the ring apron, hooking his arms for what he intended to be a Package Piledriver. Styles was able to counter it by sending Pentagon over his head with a Back Body Drop onto the hardest part of the ring. Styles looked for a measure of revenge against Pentagon, taking one of the chairs that he was thrown into. Styles battered the Universal Champion with the chair before throwing him back into the ring.
Styles waited patiently for Pentagon to rise to his feet, going for the Phenomenal Forearm. Pentagon, however, was able to catch Styles' arm, trying to take him down to the canvas so that he could snap it. Styles fought his way out of it with a legal low blow, following up by bringing Pentagon onto his shoulders for the Ushigroshi. Styles got the cover, but Pentagon was able to kick out. Styles exited the ring and took four of the chairs from the crowd, setting them up in the ring with two facing each other. Styles then went back out to ringside, taking a pen from the remnants of the announce table. Styles grabbed Pentagon's face, creating a rip in his mask that left him vulnerable to be carved by the pen. Styles managed to draw blood from the forehead of Pentagon. 'The Man of God' brought Pentagon closer to the chairs, positioning him for what would have been a Styles Clash onto them. Styles' plan was thwarted once Aleister Black, the man he defeated at Payback, ran into the ring, connecting with a Black Mass that Styles never saw coming! Black bolted out of the ring, Pentagon taking advantage of the situation by bringing Styles onto the four steel chairs for a Package Piledriver! Pentagon draped one arm over Styles, the official making the three count for his first successful defense of the Universal Title. PENTAGON IS STILL UNIVERSAL CHAMPION!
"Pentagon cheated! Aleister Black just handed him the victory!" Don Callis cried out, Mauro Ranallo applauding Black for giving AJ Styles his comeuppance after weeks of abuse in the name of religion. Styles thought his issues with Black were in the past, but 'The Dutch Destroyer' showed that they're far from over, and the result is a successful defense of the Universal Championship for Pentagon. The bloodied-Pentagon stirred to his feet and was handed back the Universal Title. The reign of Pentagon at the top of Monday Night RAW will continue, but where does Styles go from here? And how does he respond to the fact that Black just cost him the gold that he made his mission statement?
"YOU SAID THAT WE ALL SLEEP ON YOU, THINK THAT YOU'VE GOT S*** TO PROVE": At last, the graphic for the main event of Unison appeared on the titantron. One way or another, someone will make history tonight as the first superstar in history to hold both the WWE and Women's Championships at the same time. A video package set to DeathbyRomy's "No More" took everyone back to the start of 2014 when World Wrestling Entertainment announced its acquisition of Total Nonstop Action Wrestling. Among the contracts picked up by WWE was the one of Allie, a then-up-and-coming talent in the world of women's wrestling. Through a cheerful demeanor, Allie was quickly able to rise in the ranks of popularity with the WWE Universe. At the same time, Paige was beginning to make her first strand of real, impactful waves as an intergender competitor, reaching the final two in the Royal Rumble Match. "We can plan a murder or start a religion. Anything you want 'cause I don't see you living enough." Paige and Allie would cross paths at the Battleground Kickoff as part of Stephanie McMahon's punishment for Allie. When the time for the match to start came, Paige spared Allie, going as far as to declare her a future champion. "You paint pretty pictures 'cause you say you love me. All your words look fiction when you say I'm lovely." The two would have respective rises to the top of SmackDown Live after being drafted to the blue brand in April, though Allie's didn't come without controversy as she betrayed the WWE Universe by joining Catch Point. The faction's war against Paige would bring the two superstars together again, meeting one-on-one at The Bash for Paige's Money in the Bank contract. Not only did Paige defeat Allie to hold onto the briefcase, but she would go on to cash it in later that night to become the first female WWE Champion in history. Allie set her sights back on the SmackDown Women's Championship, losing to Becky Lynch at SummerSlam. At the same event, Paige defeated AJ Lee in a Last Diva Standing Match to retain the WWE Championship. What happened in the early hours of the following was something that would drastically alter the direction of SmackDown Live going forward. Paige was viciously assaulted outside of her hotel room in New York, and the blame was placed on Allie as she was claimed to have inspired the attackers - believed right now to be Nikki Bella and one other party - to carry out their assault. At Unforgiven, Paige's attempt to get her hands on Allie backfired as 'The Queen of Catch' managed to defeat Becky in an Inferno Match to become the new SmackDown Women's Championship. Shortly thereafter, a Title for Title Deathmatch between Paige and Allie was set for Unison. During a contract signing on SmackDown Live, Allie sicced a new faction of her called The Assassins - Mandy Rose, Sonya Deville and Rosemary - on Paige. This past Thursday, Allie took things a step further by having The Assassins attack Billie Kay, who has been embroiled in drama with Paige as of late. With the rulebook thrown out of the window, the WWE Universe was about to bear witness to a fight-to-the-death for the sake of becoming the first ever simultaneous WWE and Women's Champion. "You said that we all sleep on you. Think that you've got s*** to prove. Aren't we lucky that we get to know you? Talk, talk your talk that's all you do. Can't you see, its so see-through?. Mr. Cellophane I'm over you. No more, no more... No more, no more."
11) TITLE FOR TITLE DEATHMATCH: After the completion of the video package, the lights in the Temple began flickering while the instrumental track "The Fear is Real" by Crown The Empire began playing. Several hooded figures walked into the Temple through the tunnel, holding sticks with bunny masks situated at the top of each one. The figures surrounded the ring before taking lighters out of their pockets, igniting the masks. With the flaming bunny masks raised into the air, the song proceeded to finish its eerie outro before kicking into Allie's normal entrance song. The reigning SmackDown Women's Champion headed out to ringside, her face not painted like it was at Unforgiven. "Allie wants to make sure that Paige gets a clear, perfect glimpse of the woman who is going to send her into an even further downward spiral," Nigel McGuinness said on commentary. Allie stepped into the ring, breathing heavily while trying to keep her anxiety in check. She knew what she was getting herself into. She knew that she about to get severely hurt. She knew that soon, her blood would stain the canvas. But if the endgame in all of this is her becoming WWE Champion, then every ounce of pain she has to endure will be worth it. Allie stood in a corner while "Rapture" by Underoath sounded to the biggest pop of the evening. Paige walked out through the audience, standing atop of the staircase while staring down at Allie. Slowly returning to her "normal" look with her longer hair that had grown out since cutting it at SummerSlam, Paige walked down the stairs while holding up the WWE Championship, making sure Allie knows what it is that she's going to try prying away from 'Princess Anarchist'. The final encounter between Paige and Allie was set to take center stage in the main event of Unison, and the events that unfold within the next few minutes will change the course of history in WWE forever.
When the bell sounded, Paige and Allie charged into each other, throwing their fists at the other blindly. Allie tried clawing her fingers into Paige's eyes, the WWE Champion freeing herself after kicking Allie in the mid-section. Paige picked Allie up off her feet, throwing her carelessly out of the ring. Paige exited the ring and looked underneath it, pulling out a kendo stick. Paige struck Allie in the left shoulder with it, Allie trying to get away from the WWE Champion who continued to swing at her. Allie took one of the sticks that was used for her entrance, turning around and thrusting it toward Paige's throat. Paige grasped at her neck while Allie got a hold of her, throwing her into the ring post. Allie looked underneath the ring, bringing out a barbed wire board that she set down on the ground. Allie hoisted Paige onto her shoulders, looking for the Death Allie Driver. Paige, however, was able to slide out of Allie's grip, throwing her with a German Suplex onto the barbed wire board! Allie's flesh was stuck to the board, Paige stepping onto the ring apron for a Cannonball. Allie's desperation allowed her to find the will to pull herself off of the barbed wire, moving out of the way and allowing Paige to crash onto the board herself! Allie ripped Paige off of the barbed wire, throwing her into the ring before looking for any other weapon she could find. Allie pulled out three light tubes that were tied together, taking it into the ring to stalk Paige. When Paige got to her feet, Allie shattered the light tubes across her back! Paige dropped to her knees, Allie taking one of the pieces of a light tube so she could poke at Paige's forehead with the shard.
Paige fell forward onto the canvas, bleeding now from both her head and back. "This isn't anything that Paige hasn't been through before, but if she can't mount a comeback, Allie will just continue piling on the punishment until we have a new WWE Champion," Ranallo stated while Allie took a steel chair into the ring, setting it up so that she could gather some of the light tube pieces and place them on the seat. Allie brought Paige back to a vertical base, trying to go for a Brainbuster. Paige was able to keep herself grounded, turning the tables and throwing Allie with an X Plex onto the chair and glass! Allie instantly grabbed the back of her neck, the glass shards having cut her there. Paige rolled out of the ring, looking for a weapon that she found in the form of a barbed wire baseball bat. Paige took the bat and began raking the forehead of Allie, drawing blood the same way she did from her earlier. "And keep in mind that Dario Cueto once again barred everyone who could impact this match from the Temple. No Catch Point. No Assassins. And for Paige, no Iconic Duo. This is just a one-on-one fight between two women who want to kill each other, and so far, they're succeeding!" Don Callis said. Paige took the steel chair and began beating Allie with it, striking her in the back until looked like she wasn't going to kick out. Paige rolled Allie onto her back and covered her, but Allie was able to get a shoulder up.
When Paige exited the ring, she was able to find two more items this time. A glass pane, and a black bag containing thumbtacks. Paige set the pane up in a corner before taking the bag, pouring the tacks out onto Allie. Paige grabbed Allie's face and forced her to stare at not only her, but the carnage around the canvas as well. "You. Did. This," Paige said to Allie, placing all of the blame for this match even happening on her. Paige backed away, looking to connect with the Antithesis knee strike. What Paige didn't know was that Allie took some of the thumbtacks and clutched them into a fist. Allie was able to grab Paige's knee before it could connect, slapping the WWE Champion across the face with a handful of thumbtacks! Some of them were lodged into Allie's own palm, but she fought trough the pain. Allie picked Paige up onto her shoulders, driving her through the glass pane with the Death Allie Driver! Allie quickly pulled Paige back into the center of the ring, dragging her back across glass shards. Allie got the cover that the WWE Universe bit on, but Paige managed to kick out! Allie let out an irate scream, believing that she was just a millisecond away from beating the biggest female superstar of all-time to become the WWE Champion. Allie looked down at her left arm that was cut open from her own Death Allie Driver, taking her wrist tape off she could wrap her arm with it. Allie took the carcass of Paige and placed her in position for a Tombstone, but Paige was able to counter it and proceeded to spike Allie's head onto the thumbtacks! Paige didn't instantly go for a cover, but instead crawled toward the ropes to help herself up to her feet. Allie was soon able to come to and get back to a standing position on her knees, staring at Paige while laughing to herself. Paige then grabbed Allie's face, driving her knee into it over and over again before finally connecting with one big Antithesis. Paige got the cover on Allie to bring the Deathmatch to an end. PAIGE IS THE NEW SMACKDOWN WOMEN'S CHAMPION!
The majority of the audience members in the Temple popped for Paige's victory, while the others just watched in silence after witnessing what might have been the most violent match in WWE history, even including all of Paige's other stipulation matches. Paige slowly got to her feet, her forehead, back and arms covered in blood while being handed both the WWE and SmackDown Women's Championships. Paige didn't even have the energy to raise both titles, but the fact still stands that she just made history by becoming the first superstar to ever hold both. "The more people deny Paige and doubt her status as the biggest superstar of all-time, the more she drives to prove them all wrong," Mauro Ranallo said, believing that Paige's status as the greatest of all-time has to be cemented now more than ever before. Allie was able to roll out of the ring, lying down at ringside while being tended to by the medical staff.
Paige remained in the ring, slowly walking toward the ropes to try exiting the ring on her own power. That was when The Bella Twins' entrance music suddenly hit, the fans in the Temple looking around to see where they were. Only Nikki Bella showed up, standing at the top of the staircase while sarcastically applauding Paige. "Wow, Paige. Congratulations. The first superstar to ever be WWE Champion and Women's Champion. You really are every bit as great as they say you are... then again, no one else has ever been able to say that they took you out the way I did..." Nikki said, confirming again that she was one of her attackers after SummerSlam. Nikki stepped into the ring, perhaps thinking that Paige didn't have enough strength to go after her. Nikki was proven wrong when Paige Speared her into a corner. The WWE and SmackDown Women's Champion began choking Nikki with one hand while taking the microphone with her other.
"Who helped you?! Who's the other attacker?! Answer me!!"
Paige wanted an answer, but she wasn't even giving Nikki a chance to response since she was choking the life out of the Total Divas star. Paige might have actually killed Nikki until someone came to her rescue. "What the hell?! What is he doing?!" Ranallo screamed into his headset when John Cena ran into the ring, turning Paige around and hosting her up for an Attitude Adjustment onto the thumbtack and glass-covered canvas! The Temple just about went silent in shock as the WWE Universe watched Cena stand over Paige, his facial expression blank. Cena stared down at Paige, who wasn't knocked out by the AA, though she was still immobile for the time being. Paige looked up at Cena's face, getting her answer in that moment. Cena turned to Nikki, helping her to her feet before the two walked out of the Temple together.
Paige's attackers were John Cena and Nikki Bella.

September 29th, 2014 | Episode 025 | "Let There Be Light" THE NEW DAY KICK OFF MANIFEST DESTINY: At the start of Monday Night RAW, The New Day presented a special video package to officially kick off Manifest Destiny. The trio ran down the matches set for tonight, while promoting the upcoming matches at a live event this Friday in Toronto. Tonight, former Universal Champion Derrick Bateman takes on the reigning United States Champion Seth Rollins. The man who qualified for the tournament last year, Adam Cole, will face Daniel Bryan. And as reported earlier, Aleister Black sustained injuries at the hands of AJ Styles and has been pulled from Manifest Destiny. "But there's always a backup plan..." Xavier Woods said while holding up the framed photo op from Unison that now had Kota Ibushi's face pasted onto Black's body. Ibushi will represent NXT in Manifest Destiny, and it starts tonight with a one-on-one match against Triple H. Manifest Destiny 2014 starts now!
1) UNITED STATES CHAMPION SETH ROLLINS (1-0) DEF. DERRICK BATEMAN (0-1) via Curb Stomp. The very first match of the 2014 Manifest Destiny tournament saw two of RAW's top stars go at it, Bateman out to prove that he is very much still 'The God of the New Era' despite his recent shortcomings. After Bateman was rolled onto his knees, Seth Rollins stomped his head into the canvas, covering him to put up the first points on the board in Manifest Destiny. Rollins, who nearly went undefeated in the tournament last year, picks up the first victory in the RAW Block, while Bateman automatically falls to last place for the time being.
CHARLOTTE FLAIR AND TESSA BLANCHARD HAVE ARRIVED: After interrupting last night's RAW Women's Championship bout between Sasha Banks and Dakota Kai, the team of Charlotte Flair and Tessa Blanchard made their television debuts. Once in the ring, Charlotte stated that from the very beginning, the Queen of the Ring tournament was a complete joke. She was an alternate who was a last minute addition to the tournament when she's the one who should've been handed the title 'Queen' in the first place. Tessa then stated that she wasn't even offered a spot in Queen of the Ring, and was told after her tryout that everyone in talent relations and the Performance Center said that they'd "keep in touch" with her. "... Keep in touch? Does no one in this company know who I am?!" Tessa shouted as Charlotte said that they more than likely don't, because otherwise, they'd be the two most featured women in WWE. "You people choose to worship scraps of debris like Paige, Billie Kay, Peyton Royce, Alexa Bliss and Dakota Kai when all this time, two diamonds in the rough have been right here." Charlotte and Tessa were then interrupted by RAW Women's Champion Sasha Banks and Bayley, 'The Boss' not going to let go of the fact that she was ambushed at Unison. Sasha told Charlotte and Tessa that if they wanted an opportunity, all they had to do was ask, and that was when she and Bayley took the fight to RAW's two newest superstars.
2) CHARLOTTE FLAIR & TESSA BLANCHARD DEF. RAW WOMEN'S CHAMPION SASHA BANKS & BAYLEY via Natural Selection to Bayley. Charlotte Flair and Tessa Blanchard succeeded in their first outing on Monday Night RAW, perhaps proving to both the WWE Universe and roster that they've been deserving of highlighted spots this entire time. "They came in with the credentials from their bloodlines, and we just saw that Charlotte and Tessa can physically back up everything they say. Are we looking at the future of WWE's women's division?" Mauro Ranallo asked.
3) KEVIN OWENS DEF. R-TRUTH via Pop Up Powerbomb. R-Truth still believes that he's in Manifest Destiny despite being told upfront by The New Day last night at Unison that that's not true. After his entrance, Truth congratulated Seth Rollins on his victory earlier, but to watch out because, "The Truth is gonna be right there with you at the top of the scoreboard!" Kevin Owens, who really is in Manifest Destiny, was able to put Truth away rather quickly, looking ahead to his match against Roman Reigns this Friday in Toronto. Truth headed up the entrance ramp, telling the WWE Universe that he's going to bounce back from this and win Manifest Destiny.
SMACKDOWN LIVE PREVIEW: In the wake of a shocking conclusion to Unison, will John Cena and Nikki Bella give answers to the WWE Universe? Plus, Manifest Destiny's SmackDown Live block begins with Kurt Angle vs. TJ Perkins, Intercontinental Champion Samoa Joe vs. Sami Zayn, and CM Punk vs. Jeff Hardy. And in the main event, Mandy Rose, Sonya Deville and Rosemary - collectively known as The Assassins - make their SmackDown Live in-ring debuts in a Six Woman Tag Team Match against Billie Kay, Peyton Royce and the WWE and SmackDown Women's Champion, Paige.
AJ STYLES ASKS GOD TO 'LET THERE BE LIGHT': In the Allstate Arena, The Wyatt Tribe's signature hit before the group made their way down to the ring, lead by Universal Champion Pentagon, who was able to hold onto the gold last night at Unison against AJ Styles. Bray Wyatt spoke on behalf of the faction, saying that Pentagon's success comes as no surprise to anyone. "You see, it's been nearly one year since the calling of Sister Abigail brought Pentagon into the universe's presence. And ever since then, it's been hammered into the heads of all our fireflies that 'Cero Miedo' isn't a catchphrase or a tune for you all to sing along with. 'Cero Miedo' is the embodiment of everything that The Wyatt Tribe has worked toward! And now, we have the ultimate gem in our possession thanks to the man who Abigail handpicked to lead us all into a future in which there is no such thing as good or evil! In our world... there is only violence that we orchestrate." Pentagon raised the Universal Title, Wyatt encouraging any and all challengers to step forth and become sacrifices to the deity that is Pentagon. That challenge resulted in Styles walking out to the stage, getting down onto his knees before putting his hands together while still holding his microphone. "God... Lord... I let you down yesterday. I know that you entrusted me to carry out your message, and I accept any fate that you believe I am deserving of. What I realized at Unison is that despite everything you have blessed me, I am still an imperfect man. But I have the perfect God looking over me. God... please... help me. I can't do this alone. I need you by my side. I need you to grant me another humble blessing in the name of spreading the gospel to everyone. I need you to part the clouds, open up the Heavens... and let there be light!" Just as Styles finished his plead to God, the lights in the arena came back on and The Young Bucks were shown in the ring, holding steel chairs that they proceeded to use to batter The Wyatt Tribe with. Don Callis noted that because of WWE's partnership with NJPW, Matt and Nick Jackson were permitted to compete for the promotion at Unison, but that was meant to be the extent of their stay. The Young Bucks have not only crashed RAW, but they were joined by Styles in the beatdown on Pentagon, Wyatt and Randy Orton. Maxine then tried to get involved, taking one the chairs to go after Styles with it. Matt and Nick were able to stop her in her tracks with double Superkicks before Styles ordered them to finish off Pentagon with a Meltzer Driver. Styles took the Universal Title from the canvas, raising it up with The Young Bucks by his side. Styles asked God to 'Let There Be Light' and it would appear that he found a way to even the odds and take on The Wyatt Tribe in a full-scale faction war.
4) DANIEL BRYAN (1-0) DEF. ADAM COLE (0-1) via the Yes Lock. Halfway through the match, RAW Tag Team Champions Kyle O'Reilly and Bobby Fish were ejected from ringside after noticeably trying to go after Daniel Bryan. Adam Cole was left to fend off Bryan alone, but came up short. Bryan joins Rollins as the only two superstars so far in the RAW Block of Manifest Destiny to score victories, while Cole falls to 0-1 after declaring for nearly one year now that he's going to win the tournament.
DARIO CUETO GIVES MATANZA CUETO HIS ULTIMATUM: In the ring, RAW General Manager Dario Cueto stood in the spotlight with his baby brother Matanza Cueto, gloating about the success of Unison last night. Not only is the show receiving universal acclaim on social media, but because of Shane McMahon's demise at the hands of Matanza, he now has the power to select the General Manager of SmackDown Live. "And you know what? I've already made my choice, and I'll be announcing the fate of SmackDown Live at a press conference tomorrow afternoon on the WWE Network," said Dario before moving on to other affairs. 'El Jefe' said that while Matanza was successful last night, he had to ask himself if it was a stroke of luck more than anything else. Dario turned to his brother and said that Shane and Stephanie McMahon have been wrong about many, many things, but were they wrong about him? "You've been here for six months now. I've featured you on every single Pay-Per-View for the RAW brand since the Draft. And you went winless until last night. Roman Reigns. Bobby Roode. Seth Rollins. Kevin Owens. Derrick Bateman. Bray Wyatt. Braun Strowman. Daniel Bryan. Adam Cole. Emma. Triple H. Aleister Black. The Miz. Those are the names of every single superstar who has a victory over you on a big stage! Why is that, Matanza?! How is it possible that someone like you just can't get the job done?! And in every instance where you were supposed to protect, I still got hurt! I still took Coast-to-Coast from Shane and you were nowhere to be found!" Dario then gave Matanza his ultimatum in the form of a match. "You're about to face a superstar you never have before. Prove to me that you belong on this roster because you're a 'Monster' and not just my brother."
5) DREW MCINTYRE DEF. MATANZA CUETO via Claymore. A battle between two behemoths saw Matanza Cueto in a must-win scenario given the berating that he took from Dario Cueto just moments ago. Matanza headed to the top rope toward the end of the bout for a Moonsault that Drew McIntyre was able to roll away from. Matanza landed on his feet, but as soon as he did, he was drilled by a Claymore that gave 'The Scottish Psychopath' the win. Dario was shown in his office afterward, watching a TV screen with his head down as he realized that he can no longer pretend that Matanza has been a success.
DAKOTA KAI IS MADE A TARGET: Backstage, Cathy Kelley was standing by with Dakota Kai, who was asked if she has any thoughts about how her RAW Women's Championship match against Sasha Banks at Unison concluded. The Queen of the Ring winner said that she shouldn't be surprised that her arrival to RAW rubbed some people the wrong way. "People doubt me. They don't think I can succeed. They don't want to see me succeed. It was always that way on the independents, so I don't know why I didn't think it would happen in the WWE. But no matter who stands in front of me, whether it's Sasha Banks, or-" Dakota said before being attacked from behind by Charlotte Flair and Tessa Blanchard. Just like at Unison, the duo beat down Dakota, Charlotte delivering a Big Boot to 'The Captain' of Team Kick before Tessa finished her off with a Hammerlock DDT.
NEXT WEEK: After being attacked earlier tonight by the new alliance of AJ Styles and The Young Bucks, Universal Champion Pentagon will have to set his focus elsewhere somehow as he battles Hell of War participant Emma in a non-title match.
6) KOTA IBUSHI (1-0) DEF. TRIPLE H (0-1) via Phoenix Splash. Just a few hours ago, the WWE Universe believed that Aleister Black was going to be in Manifest Destiny. After AJ Styles attacked 'The Dutch Destroyer' off-site, the decision was made by RAW General Manager Dario Cueto to give Kota Ibushi the biggest opportunity of his career. Ibushi went head-to-head with Triple H in a completely unfathomable dream match, and it was one that Ibushi came out on top of after a Phoenix Splash to 'The King of Kings'. The crowd in Chicago erupted by Ibushi's shocking victory, 'The Golden Star' himself stunned by what he accomplished. Hunter got Ibushi's attention after the bout, offering a handshake because he wasn't surprised by the outcome. If he didn't know what Ibushi was capable of, he wouldn't have ever bothered signing him to NXT. Ibushi stood tall to close out his very first Monday Night RAW, and no one in the WWE Universe will ever forget the night he defeated Triple H. He doesn't have Kenny Omega by his side anymore, but Ibushi will be alright, especially now that he has in a real shot at winning Manifest Destiny and securing a Universal Championship match at the Royal Rumble.

"What She Wants" by A R I Z O N A
She likes the boys who can dance And she likes musicians Signing pictures of a mall, hanging there by the bedroom shelf She just wants to be like the girls on the television There's no one ever told her, it was okay to love herself
Oh-oh-oh-oh Be still, beating heart Cause this is her show And you'll never be a star
Cause she falls in love every night Don't even know your name And no, it's fine You know and then we cross by her eyes It's not her fault that she wants That she wants it She falls in love every night And she don't even know what devils like She been dancing in the dark throughout her life It's not her fault that she wants That she wants it
She sings her favorite songs, does her make up in the bathroom She dances in the mirror, there's dresses out on the bed She leaves her lipstick on you like a tattoo So when you try to wash it off You'll remember that you can't forget
Oh-oh-oh-oh Be still, beating heart Cause this is her show That you'll never be a star
Cause she falls in love every night Don't even know your name And no, it's fine You know and then we cross by her eyes It's not her fault that she wants That she wants it She falls in love every night And she don't even know what devils like She been dancing in the dark throughout her life It's not her fault that she wants That she wants it
It's not her fault that she wants That she wants it

Tuesday September 30th, 2014 Stamford, Connecticut and Los Angeles, California
Dario: "We're on? We're live? Alright. First thing's first, I want to thank everyone in the media for attending this press conference on such short notice, but I know that I'm the hottest commodity in all of professional wrestling today. So, it's not surprising that everyone turned up for this."
RAW General Manager Dario Cueto addressed the members of the press, mostly from WWE's own social media team, at the press conference he was holding in Headquarters in Stamford, Connecticut.
Dario: "This past Sunday, Unison became one of the most talked-about WWE events in history. The numbers coming in right now are showing me that it's in the top five most-watched shows on the Network's livestream. There are so many people to thank for that. The production crew, the performers, the WWE Universe... but most importantly, me. Dario Cueto. We couldn't have done it without me. But, there is one other person that I want to single out and thank, that being Shane McMahon. Because had he not agreed to my terms for the match at Unison against Matanza Cueto, none of us would be here right now. Shane's loss is my ultimate gain because now, I have the... unique opportunity to choose the brand new General Manager of SmackDown Live! The brand that I don't even have control over! This is great... this is truly, truly a great day to be Dario Cueto."
Dario continued rambling about his accomplishments, the members of the media at the press conference clearly becoming more aggravated the longer this went on without him getting to the point.
Dario: "So... I suppose I should make my announcement then, right? I know that the entire world of professional wrestling is watching, and more importantly, the SmackDown Live roster. I'm sure that everyone on the blue brand has been under the assumption that I'm just going to purposely appoint someone who will drive SmackDown Live into further chaos. And yes, that was part of my criteria. But what I want all of you to understand is that I'm giving SmackDown Live the breath of fresh air that the McMahons would never even consider. And while my choice has no prior experience in the wrestling industry in any capacity, this individual is undoubtedly the most unique person I've ever met."
What Dario didn't know was that over in his Temple in Los Angeles, the doors were left open for Shane McMahon to gather the majority of the SmackDown Live roster to watch the fate of their brand be revealed. Several security guards were on hand to take care of any altercations that might take place, especially with figures like The Iconic Duo and Catch Point in attendance. Paige, Allie, The Assassins and John Cena were the notable ones absent from the event.
Shane: "... Please, just get this over with."
Dario: "So, without further ado... ladies and gentlemen, the new General Manager of SmackDown Live is... recording artist, Poppy!"
Shane: "... ... ..."
Rhodes: "... ... ..."
Zayn: "... ... ..."
Gargano: "... ... ..."
Punk: "... ... ..."
Joe: "... ... ..."
Billie: "... ... ... What?"
Peyton: "Recording artist?"
TJP: "Who the F*** is Poppy?!?"
Dario was the only one at the press conference applauding since all members of the media were too confused to say anything. A young, blonde girl walked onto the stage, shaking Dario's hand before approaching the microphone.
Poppy: "... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... I'm Poppy."
Dario: "Yes, you are. We'll take questions from the press now."
Dario looked out at the media members who raised their hands, calling on them individually.
Reporter 1: "... Um... I'm sorry, but... who are you?"
Poppy: "I'm Poppy."
Reporter 1: "We know that now, but, like... what do you do?"
Poppy: "I'm Poppy."
Reporter 1: "... ... ...."
Reporter 2: "When were you approached by Dario Cueto about the offer to become General Manager of SmackDown Live?"
Poppy: "Hmmm... ... ... ... Ooooooh..."
Reporter 2: "... That's... that's not an answer."
Reporter 3: "What action do you intend on taking to ensure that SmackDown Live continues to compete with Monday Night RAW?"
Poppy: "... ... ... ... ... ..."
Reporter 3: "... ... ..."
Poppy: "... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... ... I'm Poppy."
In the Temple, Shane stood up from his seat and began walking out of the warehouse, turning to his roster to address them one more time before his exit.
Shane: "... ... ... We're f***ed. I'll see you all on Thursday."
