Wednesday October 1st,, 2014 Milwaukee, Wisconsin
One day after being revealed as the new General Manager of SmackDown Live, Poppy performed at her concert in Milwaukee, the same location as tomorrow's edition of the blue brand. She finished up her song, "X", for the live audience, many of whom gave their congratulations to the bizarre singer for her new position that will take her out of the music industry for the time being.
Nonetheless, Poppy was happy.
I wanna love everyone Empty every bullet out of every gun Baby we can save the world From every boy and every girl Take me back Take me back Take me back to the place where we began
And thus, Poppy the musical act went on a hiatus after the show was over, thanking her fans one last time before heading backstage.
Showing no emotion, Poppy walked toward her dressing room, nothing visible on her face in terms of a reaction to the fact that she'll no longer be a musician. Everything she was working toward with her YouTube channel was put on the back burner because of an abrupt offer from Dario Cueto to take over SmackDown Live. And Poppy had no clue the cast of characters she was about to encounter in her new position. One roster member in particular chose to meet Poppy in-person, though the GM was unaware of this beforehand. Poppy turned a corner down the hallway and noticed a pale woman with black hair standing outside of it, unsure of exactly who she was.
Paige: "... So... you're the GM of SmackDown Live now?"
Poppy: "That's what they told me."
Paige: "... Okay... well, in that case, we're going to need to set some things straight."
Poppy: "Um... who are you?"
Paige: "... Who... who am I?"
Poppy: "Yes. Who are you?"
Paige: "... ... ..."
Poppy: "... ... ..."
Paige: "... Who am I? WHO AM I?!? WHO ARE YOU?!?"
Poppy: "I'm Poppy."
It isn't like Paige was the type of person to go around and expect everybody to know instantly who she is. She understood that wrestling, despite being mainstream, was still very much something that existed in a bubble in the corner of pop culture. But still, she at least thought that the new General Manager of the brand she competes for would at least know who she is. Poppy nonchalantly went into her dressing room, Paige following her inside.
Paige: "My name is Paige. I'm the SmackDown Women's Champion and WWE Champion."
Poppy: "Oooh, you're talented. What else have you done?"
Paige: "... I'm the only woman in WWE history to ever main event WrestleMania."
Poppy: "What's WrestleMania?"
Paige: "... ... ..."
Poppy: "I'd really like to know."
Paige: "... How... how do you not know what WrestleMania is?"
Poppy: "They've never told me before."
Paige: "Who are 'they'?"
Poppy: "My creators."
Paige: "... Like, your parents?"
Poppy: "I don't have parents."
Paige: "Then, how were you... what?"
Poppy: "What are you confused about?"
Paige: "Everything, Poppy. Everything. Just... I need to talk to you about what's going to happen on SmackDown Live real soon because you're the one who is supposed to be in charge now."
Poppy: "Poppy is listening."
Paige: "John Cena and Nikki Bella attacked me outside of my hotel room almost two months ago."
Poppy: "I've heard of John Cena before."
Paige: "Well soon, you'll hear about his death because I'm going to kill him at Hell in a Cell."
Poppy: "Why does a Cell have Hell?"
Paige: "I don't know why Cena and Nikki did what they did to me, but at this point, I don't care. They're going to pay for all of it. I just wanted you to know that the second I see them at SmackDown Live, I'm going to destroy them. But I'll spare enough of John Cena because I want to be locked inside of Hell in a Cell with him so I can obliterate WWE's own franchise right in front of the world."
Poppy: "Oooh, that sounds violent."
Paige: "Oh, it'll be violent, alright. What I did to Allie at Unison isn't even going to compare to what I'm going to do to Cena."
Poppy: "Who's Allie?"
Paige: "No one is getting inside of Hell in a Cell and no one is getting out. Not Nikki. Not The Assassins. Not Billie and Peyton. It'll just by Cena and myself in fight to the death. None of this is your fault, Poppy, and don't let anyone tell you that it is just because you're the General Manager now. This is all on me."
Poppy: "Who are Billie and Peyton?"
Paige: "... Billie is someone very important to me. Peyton is... Peyton."
Having said her piece to Poppy, Paige was about to exit the dressing room before the General Manager of SmackDown Live stopped her with a question.
Poppy: "You said you main evented WrestleMania. Is that important?"
Paige: "... Yes, Poppy. It's very important. It's a really big deal."
Poppy: "Was it your dream? Poppy wants to see everyone chase their dreams."
Paige: "... It was my dream, actually. And I got to live it."
Poppy: "Is that Billie's and Peyton's dream, too?"
Paige: "... ... ... It is."
Poppy: "Do you think they can do it like you did?"
Paige: "... ... ..."
Poppy: "... ... ..."
Paige: "... ... ... Not without me."

October 1st, 2014 | Episode 025 | "Body Is A Temple"
1) KILLER KELLY DEF. MIA YIM, SARAH LOGAN AND BIANCA BELAIR IN A FATAL FOUR WAY MATCH via Fisherman Suplex. In the first of two matches taped in Dario Cueto's Temple before Unison this past Sunday, NXT's four newest additions to the women's division had their opportunities to shine in the spotlight. On the outside, Bianca Belair took out Sarah Logan with a Crossbody from the apron, leaving Killer Kelly and Mia Yim alone in the ring. Mia had a Roundhouse Kick attempt block, which enabled Kelly to pull her closer in. Kelly grabbed Mia's arms, keeping them in place so she couldn't block the headbutt that was coming. After crashing her own skull into Mia's, Kelly picked her up for a Fisherman Suplex, holding onto Mia for the pin attempt that got her the victory.
NEXT WEEK: After leaving the Temple with physical possession of Ember Moon's NXT Women's Championship, Liv Morgan must meet NXT Commissioner William Regal in the ring at Full Sail University and hand the title over to prevent any repercussions for her actions. Plus, after his emphatic performance at Unison, The Velveteen Dream will have his chance to get back into the NXT Championship picture, though it comes in the form of a non-title match against the man who bested him on Sunday, Bobby Roode.
2) TOMMASO CIAMPA DEF. ANGELICO via Project Ciampa. All throughout the night at Unison, Dario Cueto barred certain superstars from the Temple to prevent interference, and he didn't make this contest the exception. Ciampa was all alone with no members of SAnitY by his side as he took on Angelico. The back-and-forth bout ended when Ciampa caught Angelico off of a Hurricanrana attempt, Powerbombing him against the top turnbuckle before finishing him off with Project Ciampa. The 'Blackheart' of SAnitY managed to gain much-needed momentum for the group as NXT marches onward to its next major event, NXT TakeOver: Dallas on Survivor Series weekend.

October 2nd, 2014 | Episode 025 | "I'm Poppy" POPPY'S FIRST NIGHT ON THE JOB: "... Hi. I'm Poppy. SmackDown Live General Manager. USA Network. Tonight. Manifest Destiny. Get me, get me bloody. TJ Perkins. Kurt Angle. Samoa Joe. Sami Zayn. CM Punk. Jeff Hardy. Tonight. Six Woman Tag Team Match. Oooh. Paige. The Iconic Duo. The Assassins. Tonight. SmackDown Live.............................. I'm Poppy."
PAIGE WANTS ANSWERS, BUT JOHN CENA IS NOWHERE TO BE FOUND: In the Bradley Center in Milwaukee, Paige's entrance music sounded as the WWE Champion entered the arena, now also carrying the SmackDown Women's Championship that she captured from Allie at Unison. Her title victory, however, wasn't the biggest bit of news coming out of Dario Cueto's Temple because after the main event, Paige was taken out by John Cena, who was shockingly revealed to be one of the two assailants in the attack against Paige along with Nikki Bella. 'Princess Anarchist' got into the ring and said that when she showed up here tonight, she immediately went looking for Cena. She searched every single corner of the arena, but he isn't here. "What happened to the whole schtick about never backing down from a fight? Huh, Cena? Never give up? Hustle, loyalty and respect? All that crap means nothing anymore because of what you did to me. If you've ever, EVER had an issue with me, you could've done what you did to all of your other foes and confront them face-to-face. So why did you have to attack from behind in a hotel and nearly kill me?! Why, Cena?!" Paige said that she never expected the great John Cena to be afraid of her, but he has every reason to be. "Because of what you did, you now have a WWE Championship match against me inside of Hell in a Cell. You know what happened the last time I competed in Hell in a Cell? I main evented WrestleMania and beat Bray Wyatt. That was the night I officially took your spot at the top of this company. You lost the poster-child title me of all people. And now, you're going to lose everything else at my hands because as soon as the Hell in a Cell door locks, I will beat you like you've never been beaten before, Cena. I will use whatever I can and do what I can to rip your flesh off of your bones and erase the last 10 years of this company's history! The legend of John Cena dies at Hell in a Cell, and you all have me to thank for it."
1) SMACKDOWN TAG TEAM CHAMPION TJ PERKINS (1-0) DEF. KURT ANGLE (0-1) via Detonation Kick. SmackDown Live's Manifest Block kicked off with the first television match in over a year for Kurt Angle, who stepped down from his General Manager role that now belongs to Poppy - yeah that happened - in order to compete in the tournament. Angle had TJP defeated after an Angle Slam, but Taynara Conti pulled on the official's leg. 'The Real Black Belt' went into the ring and got in Angle's face, shouting at him in Spanish. Taynara turned around to leave, and that's when Angle grabbed her ankle. He didn't apply the Ankle Lock, but was probably going to as he looked around at the WWE Universe members in Milwaukee that cheered him on. Angle then released his hold, showing that he was only toying with Taynara. As the official assisted Taynara out of the ring, Angle was hit with a low blow from TJP! One-half of the SmackDown Tag Team Champions lifted Angle up for the Detonation Kick that gave him the win. TJP puts the first points up on the board for SmackDown Live's board, in first place for at least the time being.
CATCH POINT'S RISE, OR FALL: After winning his Manifest Destiny match-up against Kurt Angle, TJ Perkins helped Taynara Conti to the backstage area before both were greeted by CM Punk, who admitted that he had his doubts about TJP's chances against Angle. But with that match out of the way, 'The Best in the World' wants all eyes on his Manifest Destiny bout with Jeff Hardy tonight. The trio then came into contact with American Alpha, who quit Catch Point two weeks ago. Chad Gable and Jason Jordan told Punk and TJP not to become too compromised with Manifest Destiny because they're still the SmackDown Tag Team Champions. And as long as they have the titles, they'll be challenging them sooner or later, thus proving that they were never the weak links in Catch Point. Punk and TJP have to be ready, willing and Gable to withstand the inevitable bout against American Alpha in the future.
2) AMERICAN ALPHA DEF. THE USOS via Grand Amplitude. American Alpha's first match after defecting from Catch Point ended up being a victory for them after managing to put Jimmy Uso away with Grand Amplitude. Chad Gable and Jason Jordan look to continue their rise in SmackDown Live's tag team division that will hopefully culminate in a championship bout against their former Catch Point stablemates, CM Punk and TJ Perkins.
MONDAY NIGHT RAW PREVIEW: After being joined by The Young Bucks this past week in an ambush against The Wyatt Tribe, what explanation will AJ Styles, Nick and Matt Jackson provide to the WWE Universe? And will Universal Champion Pentagon be able to stay focused as he collides with Emma in a non-title match? Plus, three more Manifest Destiny bouts take place in Barclays Center. United States Champion Seth Rollins vs. Drew McIntyre, Daniel Bryan vs. Kota Ibushi, and in a Money in the Bank rematch, Derrick Bateman vs. Kevin Owens.
3) JEFF HARDY (1-0) DEF. SMACKDOWN TAG TEAM CHAMPION CM PUNK (0-1) via Swanton Bomb. While TJ Perkins was able to win his first Manifest Destiny bout earlier tonight, the other-half of the SmackDown Tag Team Champions didn't have the same luck as Punk was put away by his longtime foe. Hardy celebrated his win post-match, hoping to keep the momentum rolling throughout the rest of Manifest Destiny.
4) ADRIAN NEVILLE DEF. MUSTAFA ALI, CEDRIC ALEXANDER & RODERICK STRONG IN A CRUISERWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP #1 CONTENDER MATCH via the Red Arrow onto Alexander. Neville was able to come out on top in this incredibly fast-paced match-up to secure his spot for a Cruiserweight Championship match against John Morrison in two weeks at SmackDown's 15th Anniversary show. After Neville exited the ring, Ali helped Alexander up to his feet, the two showing respect for another before being shockingly blindsided by Strong, who finally had enough of not getting what he felt he deserved in the Cruiserweight division. Strong threw Ali out of the ring before taking out Alexander with The End of Heartache.
CAN PEYTON ROYCE AND PAIGE CO-EXIST?: In the locker room area, Peyton Royce was wrapping her knee that was injured last week in the Hell in a Cell Match against Catch Point, and further aggravated at Unison against The Young Bucks. Peyton's wife, Billie Kay, sat down next to her, asking if she can keep herself from getting hurt even more tonight against The Assassins. Peyton said that she had no choice because after she was forced to watch Billie be beaten down by Mandy Rose, Sonya Deville and Rosemary last week, she wants to punish them. "You don't have to push yourself so hard. Not only do you have me by your side, but we also have Paige," Billie said, which irritated Peyton. "... Who would you rather have your back out there - your wife or Paige?" Billie didn't give Peyton her answer, but instead left her to finish preparing for the main event by herself.
5) INTERCONTINENTAL CHAMPION SAMOA JOE (1-0) DEF. SAMI ZAYN (0-1) via the Coquina Clutch. In the third and final Manifest Destiny match of the evening, Joe was able to choke out Zayn and put himself in the first place position alongside TJ Perkins and Jeff Hardy. The Intercontinental Champion has the tenacity and viciousness to be able to carry this momentum all the way to the end of Manifest Destiny, though there are still so many more hurdles for all 12 SmackDown Live superstars to endure.
6) WWE CHAMPION & SMACKDOWN WOMEN'S CHAMPION PAIGE, BILLIE KAY & PEYTON ROYCE VS. THE ASSASSINS ENDED IN A NO CONTEST after the official was taken out by Rosemary's mist. In the middle of the contest, Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville picked Peyton up for a vertical Suplex, only to drop her knees-first onto the edge of the announce table. Peyton couldn't even stand on her injured knee, forcing the medical staff to take her out of the match. That left Paige and Billie in a two-on-three handicap situation, though the two were able to hold their own until The Assassins caused the match to be thrown out after Rosemary took matters into her own hands. With Paige isolated, Rosemary took a steel chair and wrapped it around Billie's neck, giving Sonya the instruction to head to the second rope. Sonya was going to crush Billie's throat had Paige not taken a kendo stick to her. The WWE and SmackDown Women's Champion proceeded to beat Mandy and Rosemary as well, cleaning house of The Assassins and saving Billie. Paige tried helping one-half of The Iconic Duo out of the ring, but she was then ambushed from behind by Nikki Bella! Nikki, one of Paige's attackers from the day after SummerSlam, threw Paige into the ring post before delivering the Rack Attack. Nikki stood tall over Paige, giving her the "You Can't See Me" hand gesture. Nikki thought she had her moment of glory, but the chaos was not yet finished unfolding as Allie slid into the ring, taking Nikki down to the canvas! Allie was looking for revenge after Nikki threw her under the bus a few weeks ago. Nikki rolled out of the ring as Allie made chase for her, but not before kicking Paige in the ribs when she tried standing up.
Backstage, SmackDown Live General Manager Poppy was shown watching a monitor, observing Allie and Nikki's fight as Renee Young approached her, asking how she believes tonight went, considering it was her first night as GM. "... Hmm... Poppy thinks everything went well," said Poppy while ironically watching Allie bash Nikki's face into the steel steps. Renee pointed out that while Poppy managed to "generally manage" a show that went well all things considered, she didn't make any of the decisions for tonight. Shane McMahon handled everything. Poppy, continuing to watch the brawl on the screen, told Renee that she might have a point. "... Well, I have been learning some of the terms you all use around here, so... hmm....."
"... Next week. SmackDown Women's Championship. Paige. Allie. Nikki Bella. Triple Threat Match."

October 3rd & 4th 1) FINN BALOR (1-0) DEF. HARDCORE CHAMPION BUDDY MURPHY (0-1) via Coup de Grace. Balor managed to come out victorious in the first live event match-up for this year's Manifest Destiny, besting Murphy in an exhilarating contest to kick things off in Toronto, Ontario.
2) DREW MCINTYRE (1-0) DEF. THE MIZ (0-1) via Claymore. McIntyre, who has been undefeated on the main roster thus far since being called-up after SummerSlam, continued to prove his dominance over the main event scene with a win against a two-time WWE Champion in The Miz.
3) ROMAN REIGNS (1-0) DEF. KEVIN OWENS (0-1) via Spear. Returning to Canada, Owens was unable to get the job done after having his attempt at a Pop-Up Powerbomb countered with a Superman Punch, giving Reigns his opening to go in for the Spear and take his first victory in Manifest Destiny. Reigns barely missed the finals last year in a scenario that was out of his hands, so this time, Reigns wants to carve out his own path to the Fatal Four Way Elimination Finals at Survivor Series.

1) JOHNNY GARGANO (1-0) DEF. REY MYSTERIO (0-1) via Slingshot DDT. A Cruiserweight dream match opened up SmackDown Live's first live event as part of the Manifest Destiny trail. When Mysterio failed to connect with the 619, Gargano swept his legs out and delivered a Superkick, following up with the Slingshot DDT over the top rope to pick up the victory. After losing in the finals of the Cruiserweight Classic back in June, a win in Manifest Destiny would be the redemption story that 'Johnny Wrestling' is desperate to make come to fruition.
2) ANDRADE 'CIEN' ALMAS (1-0) DEF. MATT RIDDLE (0-1) via roll-up. Riddle had the Bromission applied, but a distraction by Zelina Vega prevented the official from seeing Almas submit. Almas was able to rake the eyes of Riddle to break up the hold, rolling up 'The King of Bros' with a grip on his attire to steal the win and put himself on the board for Manifest Destiny.
3) CODY RHODES (1-0) DEF. DEAN AMBROSE (0-1) via Cross Rhodes. Ambrose had his attempt at the Dirty Deeds countered into Cross Rhodes, and that was the moment where it became clear that the competition this time around could be too much for Ambrose if he wants to repeat last year's Manifest Destiny success. The defending champion starts the tournament off with a loss.

October 6th, 2014 | Episode 026 | "Heaven-Sent" THE NEW DAY UPDATES THE MANIFEST DESTINY STANDINGS: Just like last week, Monday Night RAW opened up with a video package of The New Day taking a look at tonight's Manifest Destiny line-up while pulling up the current standings after the first week. United States Champion Seth Rollins, Drew McIntyre, Kota Ibushi and Daniel Bryan are all at risk of suffering their first losses in the tournament, while either Derrick Bateman or Kevin Owens will get their first victory. Monday Night RAW in Barclays Center starts now.
AJ STYLES AND THE YOUNG BUCKS EXPLAIN THEIR ACTIONS: Cutting to the sold out arena in Brooklyn, AJ Styles' entrance music sounded as 'The Man of God' headed out to the ring along with The Young Bucks, who made their shocking debuts on RAW last week when they aided Styles in attacking The Wyatt Tribe. Mauro Ranallo noted on commentary that Matt and Nick Jackson have been signed to partial contracts with WWE that will enable them to continue making appearances for New Japan Pro Wrestling, but what the WWE Universe really cares about is understanding why wrestling's elite tag team has traded in its bullets for bibles. Styles took a microphone and said that he's known Matt and Nick for quite some time now and beyond just being the best professional wrestlers in the world, they managed to bond over their faith. "See, Matt and Nick are unlike the other superstars walking around that locker room, spreading their filthy heresy. Matt and Nick are two good Christian boys who embody every bit of the scripture that we hold near and dear to our hearts." Styles rambled on and said that when he asked God to assist him in the fight against The Wyatt Tribe, he knew that The Young Bucks would be the answer. "God has blessed us. God has evened the odds in our battle to prove his righteousness to the WWE Universe because the one thing he wants to see more than anything is a group of misfits like The Wyatt Tribe be set free and journey into the lord's caring arms. I asked God to 'Let There Be Light' and that's exactly what he did. Let There Be Light is the answer to all of your questions. Let There Be Light is the calling that you've all been looking for because we are the light that shines down from God's kingdom onto the WWE. So, the next time you feel lost or at a crossroads with the hurdles that have been thrown your way, just close your eyes, leave it all in God's hands and ask... Let There Be Light." Styles, Matt and Nick rejoiced and constantly shouted, "Let There Be Light!" at the WWE Universe while heading up the entrance ramp. At the top of the stage, Derrick Bateman's entrance song hit as 'The God of the New Era' walked through the curtain, coming face-to-face with Styles and The Young Bucks. Bateman hasn't forgotten about his longstanding rivalry with Styles, but that can't be his focus right now because he needs to worry about keeping himself from falling to 0-2 in Manifest Destiny.
1) DERRICK BATEMAN (1-1) DEF. KEVIN OWENS (0-2) via TKO. In a rematch from Money in the Bank, Bateman was able to repeat the success from that event, only this time, he was able to best Owens all on his own. After a bumpy start in Manifest Destiny, Bateman managed to get on the board with two points, while 'The Prizefighter' has to struggle for at least a bit longer.
2) THE MIZ DEF. R-TRUTH via Skull Crushing Finale. Just like last week, R-Truth could not comprehend the fact that he's not in Manifest Destiny. With all of his heart, his poor heart, he believes that he's in the tournament and is 0-1 after losing to Drew McIntyre. Truth battled another Manifest Destiny participant this week, and it happened to his former Awesome Truth teammate. Miz put Truth away as he looks ahead to his next tournament match this Friday against Buddy Murphy. Truth got back to his feet afterward, slapping the hands of WWE Universe members in the front row while promising that he'll come back to win Manifest Destiny.
THE UNDISPUTED ERA FOUND THEIR COMPETITION: Backstage, RAW Tag Team Champions Kyle O'Reilly and Bobby Fish were shown walking around, trying to talk strategy for Adam Cole's Manifest Destiny match on Friday against Finn Balor. The champions were then approached by The Revival, who said that just because Cole is busy with a tournament doesn't give O'Reilly and Fish an excuse for not defending the RAW Tag Team Titles. The Undisputed ERA scoffed at the idea of facing The Revival, especially O'Reilly as he bopped his head back and forth while exaggerating his laugh. Fish said that Revival haven't earned a title opportunity, especially after their constant losses to Sen Reigeren. But what they can do for Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder is give them a non-title match next week as a compensation for somehow still having jobs despite being off of television for a month.
SMACKDOWN LIVE PREVIEW: In a huge main event, Paige will put the SmackDown Women's Championship on the line against Allie and Nikki Bella in a Triple Threat match. Plus, with Peyton Royce being medically suspend by SmackDown Live General Manager Poppy until she's recovered from her knee injury, what is the first move for Billie Kay as a singles competitor? And in three more Manifest Destiny matches, Kurt Angle takes on Matt Riddle in a technical dream match, future meets present when Andrade 'Cien' Almas battles Cody Rhodes, and CM Punk reignites an old rivalry against Rey Mysterio.
3) DANIEL BRYAN (2-0) DEF. KOTA IBUSHI (1-1) via Busaiku Knee. In what will undoubtedly go down as one of the hardest-htting bouts in Manifest Destiny for either block, Bryan and Ibushi tore into one another with heavy strikes and Suplexes onto one another's neck. After catching Ibushi with three Roundhouse Kicks upside his head, Bryan was able to finish him off with the Busaiku Knee for the victory. Bryan helped Ibushi to his feet post-match, raising his arm and assuring him that they'll meet in the Fatal Four Way final at Survivor Series.
4) CHARLOTTE FLAIR & TESSA BLANCHARD DEF. RAW WOMEN'S CHAMPION SASHA BANKS & BAYLEY VIA DISQUALIFICATION after Bayley and Tessa ran into the ring to save their respective partners. Bayley caught Tessa with a forearm strike before going after Charlotte, refusing to get out of the ring and leading to the official disqualifying her team. Sasha joined Bayley in the attack on Charlotte until Dakota Kai ran down the ramp. Not only to go after Sasha and Bayley, but Charlotte and Tessa as well. The numbers game, however, was too great for Dakota to overcome, and her chances at overcoming the two teams ended after Natural Selection from Charlotte. While Dakota was down, Sasha and Bayley exited through the audience while Charlotte and Tessa headed up the ramp, saving the continuation of their encounter for another day. It's been made clear to the WWE Universe that if Dakota wants to stand a chance in this way, she can't do it alone.
DARIO CUETO WILL TAKE ACTION AGAINST HIS BROTHER NEXT WEEK: Cathy Kelley headed out to Dario Cueto's office, knocking on the door to get the attention of the RAW General Manager. Dario opened the door, Cathy asking what the repercussions will be that he vowed to hand down to Matanza Cueto. Dario said that punishing his baby brother isn't going to be easy, and he doesn't know exactly what he plans on doing. Next week, though, he will call Matanza out to the ring and decide his fate.
5) DREW MCINTYRE (2-0) DEF. UNITED STATES CHAMPION SETH ROLLINS (1-1) via Claymore. A back-and-forth match-up between two of the favorites to come out on top in the RAW block of Manifest Destiny. Catching Rollins in mid-air with the Claymore, McIntyre was able to extend his record to 2-0, now standing at the top of the block along with Daniel Bryan
6) EMMA DEF. UNIVERSAL CHAMPION PENTAGON IN A NON-TITLE MATCH via Piledriver. In Emma's first official match since SummerSlam, one of the two Hell of War participants was able to hold her own against Pentagon, showing exactly why she belongs in the conversation for the next Universal Champion. Pentagon took Emma down a Backstabber before teasing breaking her arm, which lead to Let There Be Light getting involved. AJ Styles and The Young Bucks weren't able to get into the ring as Randy Orton and Bray Wyatt were there to stop them, but while the official was distracted, Emma caught Pentagon with a low blow! She turned Pentagon around, planting him with a Piledriver to pick up the victory. "Emma just pinned the Universal Champion!" Mauro Ranallo exclaimed while Emma hurried out of the ring, keeping her arms and reminding the WWE Universe that Monday Night RAW is all about her. Emma has all of the momentum in the world as she prepares for the Hell of War Match against Alexa Bliss in three weeks.
Back in the ring, Let There Be Light and The Wyatt Tribe continued to brawl, Orton and Wyatt struggling to best Styles, Matt and Nick until Maxine got involved. With a steel chair in her hands, Maxine was able to take the fight to Let There Be Light, getting all of them out of the ring while standing over Pentagon, Orton and Wyatt to protect them. On the floor, Styles and The Young Bucks got to their knees, all three beginning to pray. Maxine stared at them in confusion before suddenly being turned around to be struck with a heavy right hand shot from a woman in classy, 1950s-esque clothing. "What the... that's... that's Lacey Evans!" Don Callis said. Lacey, a former Marine who was recently signed to Monday Night RAW by Dario Cueto, looked down at the fallen Maxine that she just took out. Styles and The Young Bucks slowly got into the ring, glancing back-and-forth at Lacey and the sky, wondering if she was the gift from God that they just prayed for. Lacey took a microphone, and said...
"Loorrdd... Let There Be Light."

"Surrender" by The Used
It started off as a feeling But the feeling, it started to grow I get stuck in the meaning And the answer's beyond my control
I could walk to the edge in the middle of the dark Hold my breath, take a step, feel it all fall apart 'Cause I know exactly who you are And I know just what you're doing to me, it's over (it's over)
Broken, you found me My angel, my shoulder To lean on, I swear, When I'm with you I feel like I'll live forever
This moment Feelings exploding My heart beats alive Now it's true I'm giving up, I surrender I'm giving up, I surrender
So afraid of the feeling So afraid of what I had to show Broken down so completely And there's nothing I had to let go
So I walked to the edge in the middle of the dark Hold my breath, take a step, felt it all fall apart 'Cause I know exactly who you are And I know just what you're doing to me, it's over (it's over)
Broken, you found me My angel, my shoulder To lean on, I swear, When I'm with you I feel like I'll live forever This moment Feelings exploding My heart beats alive Now it's true I'm giving up, I surrender I'm giving up, I surrender I'm giving up, I surrender
Started out as a feeling But the feeling it started to grow I get stuck in the meaning And the answer's beyond my control
Broken, you found me My angel, my shoulder To lean on, I swear, When I'm with you I feel like I'll live forever This moment Feelings exploding My heart beats alive Now it's true I'm giving up, I surrender
I'm giving up, I surrender
Tuesday October 7th,, 2014 Orlando, Florida
Lying down in the living room of her apartment, Paige glared at the ceiling fan, homesickness catching up to her more excruciatingly than usual. She could always justify being away from home with her success in WWE, and everyone in Norwich and all of the United Kingdom for that matter were beyond proud of her. But the more miserable she became when having to leave for SmackDown Live every week, the worse the toll was on her mentality. Something as minor as the ceiling fan projecting wind onto her was difficult since back home, the temperatures were already lowering, whereas Florida stayed relatively warm year-round.
Paige turned her head toward a wall near her television where she displayed all of her accolades in WWE. The Divas Championship. The Slammy Award for 2013 Match of the Year. A commemorative WWE shop plaque for her WrestleMania main event. The Money in the Bank briefcase. The SmackDown Women's Championship. And most notably, the WWE Championship. Paige had the career that she thought was only possible in her dreams, yet she was still unhappy because her own depressive spells that came as a result of not only those who were trying to harm her, but also having to go to work every week with a married woman she's in love with.
Paige closed her eyes and was hoping to just fall asleep so she wouldn't have to think about every burden on her brain, but a knock on the door woke her up. It was strange because it wasn't a few knocks like someone normally would. It was a single knock that occurred at intervals of exactly six seconds. She slowly got up from her couch and approached the door, wondering if she should take a weapon in hand just to be safe. Paige decided against it, ultimately, and quickly opened the door, only to be met by SmackDown Live General Manager Poppy.
Poppy: "I'm Poppy."
Paige: "... ... ... I know who you are, Poppy. We've met before."
Poppy: "Hmm... I suppose you're right."
Paige: "... ... ..."
Poppy: "... ... ..."
Paige: "... ... ..."
Poppy: "... Poppy is coming in now."
Poppy walked into Paige's apartment, sitting down on the couch before taking out a stack of papers she brought with her in a folder that was decorated with colorful stickers of animals.
Paige: "... Why are you here? How do you even know where I live?"
Poppy: "The address was in your files. I was looking through the files for everyone on the SmackDown Live roster, and I noticed something interesting when I came across yours."
Paige: "... Okay... and what would be..."
Poppy: "Your contract is coming up soon."
Paige: "What?"
Poppy: "The end of April, to be exact."
It had completely slipped Paige's mind that the four-year contract with WWE she signed after her tryout in April 2011 was coming to an end soon.
Poppy: "It's alright, though. Poppy wrote you a new one."
Poppy then handed Paige her new contract. The WWE Champion looked through some of the pages briefly, mainly to see how long it was for and the amount of money attached to it. The contract was for five years, which would keep her with WWE through 2020. There was a downside of nearly $1.5 million a year, which is more than she's ever made annually with her current deal.
Poppy took a pen from her folder and handed it to Paige, asking for her to sign the contract right then and there.
Paige: "... ... ..."
Poppy: "... ... ..."
Paige: "... ... ... No."
Poppy: "What was that?"
Paige: "I'm not signing this."
Poppy: "You don't want to extend your contract?"
Paige: "Poppy... you're new here, so I don't know if you fully understand everything I've been through. Yes, I have everything I could've ever asked for from wrestling, but what's my life after WWE going to be like? I'm killing myself for this company. I've taken so many years off of not only my career, but my life altogether. I can't do this s*** for five more years. I don't even feel like doing it for five more days. The money isn't going to help me feel any better, physically nor mentally. At this point, I'm only stepping into that ring every week because I'm a masochist and I get a kick out of making myself suffer. Everyone I care about has gotten hurt in one way or another thanks to my mistakes. I turned WWE into a circus and they need to rebuild once I'm gone if they want any chance at maintaining their empire."
Poppy: "What are you saying, Paige?"
Paige: "I'm saying... I'm saying... I'll finish out the remainder of my current deal, but when it expires in April... I'm leaving WWE."

October 8th, 2014 | Episode 026 | "Dream Over" WILLIAM REGAL MAKES THE WOMEN'S TITLE MATCH OFFICIAL FOR DALLAS: At the start of NXT on the WWE Network, Commissioner William Regal was already stood in the ring, asking for Liv Morgan to step out through the curtain now. 'The Blue-Tongued Banshee' did so, posing with the NXT Women's Championship that she stole possession of at Unison. Regal reminded Liv that while she may believe she's the rightful NXT Women's Champion, the title still belongs to Ember Moon. So, if Liv wants to avoid any repercussions for her actions, she'll hand the title over now. Liv continuously teased giving the title up, only to take it back in a series of acts that only annoyed Regal. Liv then told the Commissioner that the only way she'll give the title to him is if he names her the number one contender for the title. Regal was initially hesitant to do so, but told Liv that if she can actually beat Ember one-on-one, then perhaps she deserves to be the Women's Champion. "... Fine. You've got it. At TakeOver: Dallas, you will challenge Ember Moon for the NXT Women's Championship." Liv handed Regal the gold, receiving exactly what she wanted from him.
1) WWE UNITED KINGDOM CHAMPION WILL OSPREAY DEF. MARK HASKINS via OsCutter. Receiving some of the loudest boos in recent memory at Full Sail over the method he took at Unison to become the inaugural United Kingdom Champion, Ospreay was able to stay focused as he put down Haskins with the OsCutter. Ospreay didn't need assistance from Bea Priestley this time to get a victory, but the NXT Universe isn't convinced that Ospreay won't resort to using his girlfriend for his own personal gain again.
2) THE AUTHORS OF PAIN DEF. LOCAL COMPETITORS via The Last Chapter. Jinder Mahal's monstrous duo of Akam and Rezar were once again able to lay waste to their opponents, making it known that they're not looking to wait any longer to get a NXT Tag Team Championship opportunity against Ricochet and Uhaa Nation.
3) THE VELVETEEN DREAM DEF. NXT CHAMPION BOBBY ROODE IN A NON-TITLE MATCH via Purple Rainmaker. The non-title rematch from Unison ended in a much different fashion this time as Roode's attempt at using the NXT Title as a weapon was thwarted when the official caught him. With the official's back turned for just a second, Dream caught 'The Glorious One' with a low blow before transitioning into a Rolling Fireman's Carry. Dream ascended to the top for the Purple Rainmaker, picking up the biggest victory of his career to date. As Dream celebrated in the Full Sail Arena, NXT Commissioner William Regal was shown watching the feed from his office. Charly Caruso approached Regal, asking for his thoughts on Dream's accomplishment just now. Regal said that while Dream's tactics may not have been favorable to the rulebook, he knows better than anyone else that sometimes, you have to be just a bit "naughty" to get what you want. He won't overlook the importance of Dream's victory, which is why he's naming him as the third competitor in the Elimination Chamber Match at NXT TakeOver: Dallas.

"Confession" by Aero Chord and Kirsten Collins
Been working on my fears I’m over done A kind of dream that was and is to come
I see my name in lights I feel my own divine But the journey caught up with me over time
So is it my place to love me now? Is it my place to feel somehow? Is it my place to roam the world beyond the longing
This is my confession This is my confession
The innocence I’ve lost and overcome I’m vulnerable in things I could have won
I didn’t have it all I didn’t know it all I just wanted to know I was good enough
I wanna see my shine
So is it my place to love me now? Is it my place to feel somehow? Is it my place to roam the world beyond the longing
This is my confession This is my confession This is my confession
I didn’t want to give it up I didn’t wanna give it up to you I need it when I want it And the light it kept on shining And I don’t know what to do
Thursday October 9th, 2014 Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
In the afternoon, Paige walked into the Wells Fargo Center for SmackDown Live, carrying both the WWE and SmackDown Women's Championships on her shoulders while rolling her two suitcases. She only did so because she knew in the back of her mind that she'd never be able to hold both titles simultaneously again.
Two days prior...
Poppy: "You're going to leave WWE?"
Paige: "... Yeah... I am."
Poppy: "... ... ... Was it because of something Poppy said?"
Paige: "No, Poppy. You didn't do anything wrong. This is just something that I need to do to make sure that I stay alive and in decent health. It isn't just my body that's failing me. My mind is in a billion pieces and the only way to make this stop is to just go away forever."
Poppy: "How is SmackDown Live going to continue?"
Paige: "I'm not the end-all be-all of that show, Poppy. There's plenty of talent that can carry it without me."
Poppy: "Won't you miss your friends?"
Paige: "I don't have any friends."
Poppy: "Poppy is your friend."
Paige: "You're my boss, not my friend."
Poppy: "The Iconic Duo are your friends, right?"
Paige: "... ... ... Maybe. I don't know how they feel about me right now."
Poppy: "Poppy thinks they'll miss you."
Paige: "Who knows?"
Poppy: "... Poppy will miss you, too."
Poppy stood up from the couch and put Paige's contract back into her folder. She assured Paige that the offer was not off the table. If at any point between now and April she changes her mind and decides to stay, all she needs to do is tell Poppy and it'll be done. Until a final decision is made, she'll keep Paige's feelings secret.
Partly to Paige's surprise, the news of her intending on leaving WWE didn't leak onto the internet, which meant that Poppy kept her promise to not tell anyone about their conversation. The atmosphere for Paige was a bit different, and in some ways, she felt a sense of relief knowing that she won't have to walk into arenas for professional wrestling that much longer. Six more months and then she'll be free from the stress that she's put herself through for the last number of years.
Paige's focus tonight should have solely been on the SmackDown Women's Championship Triple Threat against Allie and Nikki Bella, but once she saw Billie Kay walking out of catering, everything shifted for her. It was completely abnormal to see Billie by herself, and she was only in that state because Poppy is forcing Peyton Royce to take time off to nurse her knee injury.
Paige walked up to Billie, asking if they could talk.
Billie: "Is it something bad?"
Paige: "... I don't think it is."
The two went into an empty locker room, Paige deciding that she wanted Billie to know the truth about her future.
Paige: "Poppy told me that my contract is expiring soon. She offered me a new deal for five more years."
Billie: "For how much?"
Paige: "Not including merchandise, almost $1.5 million a year."
Billie: "... Holy s***..."
Paige: "I turned it down."
Billie: "What?"
Paige: "Yeah."
Billie: "For a smaller contract?"
Paige: "For no contract. I'm leaving in April."
Billie: "You're... you're leaving? But, why?"
Paige: "I can't do this for much longer. I don't want to do this for much longer. When Poppy told me that WWE wants me for five more years, I kind of just lost it mentally because the thought of that sounds f***ing horrible."
Billie: "But, you can't just leave. You headlined WrestleMania. You're the WWE Champion. You're the biggest name of all-time in wrestling."
Paige: "And if I keep going at the rate I'm doing s*** at, what's my life after wrestling going to look like? I'll either be a in a wheelchair or I'll never see that life for myself because I'll be dead. That's just a fact, Billie. For every accomplishment of mine that you can name, I can show you a scar from it. I want to get out while I can."
Billie: "Okay, but... you still have a Hell in a Cell Match in three weeks. You think you're going to walk away from that in good health?"
Paige: "John Cena isn't going to hurt me. He has no idea what to do in that kind of a scenario against me. I won't even break a sweat. And after that, I'll do the same thing to anyone else who tries coming after me. I'm done letting people take years off of my life."
Billie: "... So, that's it, then? You're leaving?"
Paige: "Yeah, I am. The plan in my head is to have my last match at WrestleMania. After that, I'll fake an injury or something and just sit out the next month until my contract expires."
Billie: "... And you're not gonna go wrestle anywhere else? This is the end?"
Paige: "It's the end. I'm retiring at 22."
Billie: "... ... ..."
Paige: "... Somehow, someway, Billie... I want you to be my last match."
Billie: "What?"
Paige: "I want you to retire me in the main event of WrestleMania 31."
Billie: "... That's still almost six months away. Neither of us are in any position to say that's going to happen."
Paige: "Well, I don't care. I'm letting you know now that I'll do whatever I have to to make that happen. Even if that means I have to still be WWE Champion and you win the Royal Rumble in this very city in January. I'm going to have my last match against you."
Billie: "... But..."
Paige: "But what?"
Billie: "... When Peyton and I signed with WWE, we promised each other that we'd share our first WrestleMania together."
Paige: "Well, who's more likely to take you to the main event of WrestleMania? Peyton or me?"
Billie: "... ... ..."
Paige: "... I saved you from AJ. You owe me one, so do as I say. Retire me at WrestleMania."

October 9th, 2014 | Episode 026 | "The Anarchist's Kiss" POPPY'S ADDRESS TO THE WWE UNIVERSE: "... Hi. I'm Poppy. Tonight. SmackDown Women's Championship. Paige. Allie. Nikki Bella. It'll be fun. Manifest Destiny. Kurt Angle. Matt Riddle. CM Punk. Rey Mysterio. Cody Rhodes. Andrade 'Clen' Almas. Next week. SmackDown turns 15. Oooh. Exciting times. Please enjoy the show. I'm Poppy."
1) CM PUNK (1-1) DEF. REY MYSTERIO (0-2) via Go To Sleep. A reignited rivalry as Punk and Mysterio met one-on-one for the first time since Capitol Punishment 2011. Toward the conclusion of the match, Mysterio had Punk in position for the 619 before TJ Perkins, the other half of the SmackDown Tag Team Champions and superstar who Mysterio faces at Hell in a Cell, ran out to ringside. Mysterio reacted quickly enough to be able to take out TJP with a Baseball Slide, but Punk took advantage of the distraction and executed the Go To Sleep for the victory. This gives Punk his first win in Manifest Destiny, while Mysterio falls to 0-2.
TJ PERKINS DECLARES THAT NOBODY IS WORTHY OF CHALLENGING HIM AT SMACKDOWN 15: CM Punk left the ring after his Manifest Destiny match, but TJ Perkins stuck around and even brought Taynara Conti out to be with him while he voiced his opinion. TJP said that next week, SmackDown celebrates its 15th anniversary, but there's a glaring omission from the card since he's currently not on it. He claimed to not be surprised that SmackDown's biggest superstar in history doesn't have a match on its biggest show in history because there is nobody worthy of stepping up to him. "Look at everything I've done in just a few months! Intercontinental Champion! SmackDown Tag Team Champion! I pinned the WWE Champion! I'm the leader of the most dominant faction in WWE history! I've accomplished more in less than a year than the majority of superstar do in their careers!" TJP said that there isn't anybody who can challenge him, and that's when a familiar theme song beginning with a signature giggle sounded. "Are you kidding me?!" Nigel McGuinness exclaimed while the WWE Universe members in the Wells Fargo Center erupted for WWE Hall of Famer, Trish Stratus. Both TJP and Taynara were puzzled as Trish headed into the ring, making an unexpected appearance on SmackDown Live. Trish stepped into the ring, waiting for the crowd reaction to simmer down before speaking to TJP. The Hall of Famer said that TJP can go on and on about his accomplishments, but there's one thing he conveniently forgot to mention. "Yes, you've achieved so much, but in just a short bit of time, you've also managed to piss off every single superstar past and present." Trish said that it took so much for her to sit back and let TJP run his misogynistic mouth because she knew that there were other women capable of silencing him. And for a period of time, that's exactly what Paige and The Iconic Duo. "But this time... this time, it's different. See, I just happened to be backstage visiting because WWE is and will always be my home, and I was offered a spot in the Women's Evolution Battle Royal at SmackDown 15 next week for a shot at the SmackDown Women's Championship. But I've had more than a handful of Women's Titles in my day, so you know what I'd rather do next week? I think I'd rather show you what happens when sexist pigs like you never get the hint and learn your lesson." The crowd reacted positively while TJP laughed to himself, asking Trish if she was really challenging him to a match at SmackDown 15. After Trish said yes, Taynara got in her face, shouting at her in Spanish. Taynara then attempted to slap Trish, but her hand was caught. Trish then connected with the Chick Kick, Taynara falling to the canvas like a sack of bricks. TJP suddenly became concerned, tending to Taynara while Trish dabbed behind his back. Next week at SmackDown 15, the most unlikely of intergender matches takes place when TJP goes one-on-one with Trish!
2) BILLIE KAY DEF. MANDY ROSE via Shades of Kay. An unusual scenario for Billie as she was without her Iconic Duo life partner, Peyton Royce, who was serving a medical suspension mandated by SmackDown Live General Manager Poppy. Billie had to be weary of The Assassins at ringside, but Rosemary and Sonya Deville weren't even able to become factors as Billie delivered Shades of Kay practically out of nowhere, covering Mandy for the victory. Billie quickly exited the ring and headed up the entrance ramp, 'The Femme Fatale' perhaps showing that she'll be just fine for the time being without Peyton by her side.
3) ANDRADE 'CIEN' ALMAS (2-0) DEF. CODY RHODES (1-1) via Hammerlock DDT from the top turnbuckle. The present of SmackDown Live met the brand's future in the first-ever one-on-one encounter between Rhodes and Almas. Rhodes climbed to the top rope near the end of the match, Zelina Vega stepping onto the apron to try distracting him. That was when Brandi Rhodes caught Zelina, throwing her from the apron onto the floor with a Powerbomb! Rhodes, however, was still distracted while on the top rope, allowing Almas to run into him with a Dropkick. Rhodes lost his balance, Almas finding the opening to deliver the Hammerlock DDT from the top turnbuckle onto the canvas, covering Rhodes for the biggest win of his career. Not only did Almas just defeat a former WWE Champion and the 2013 Superstar of the Year, but he now takes first place in SmackDown Live's Manifest Destiny block.
4) CRUISERWEIGHT CHAMPION JOHN MORRISON DEF. CEDRIC ALEXANDER IN A NON-TITLE MATCH via Starship Pain. While Alexander would've rather been given answers from Roderick Strong regarding his betrayal last week, he had to focus on besting the reigning Cruiserweight Champion. That didn't happen as Morrison was victorious, but after posing on the stage, 'The Mayor of Slam Town' turned around and was met by a Superkick from Adrian Neville! Morrison was laid out while Neville picked up the Cruiserweight Championship, raising the hardware that he is looking to make his own at SmackDown 15 next week.
5) MATT RIDDLE (1-1) DEF. KURT ANGLE (0-2) via the Bromission. A technical wrestling dream match between two superstar who have been attributed with picking up the practice of professional wrestling quicker than they had any business doing so. As expected, the match remained mat-based for the majority of it, or at least Angle took the risk of heading to the top rope for a Moonsault. On the way down, Riddle was able to lift up his leg and catch Angle square in the face with a kick before locking him in the Bromission, Angle quickly submitting. The WWE Universe members in Philadelphia stood up and were shocked to see someone like Angle tap out, but they weren't upset over it being against 'The King of Bros.' Riddle assisted Angle to his feet, thanking him for making a dream match of his come true. Angle hugged Riddle, telling him that he'll be the face of SmackDown Live someday. A feat that could be achieved soon if Riddle can continue his winning ways in Manifest Destiny.
6) NIKKI BELLA DEF. WWE CHAMPION PAIGE AND ALLIE IN A TRIPLE THREAT MATCH TO WIN THE SMACKDOWN WOMEN'S CHAMPIONSHIP after interference from John Cena. An incredibly heated main event as Paige, Allie and Nikki all wanted nothing more than to tear each other apart. The match barely remained in the ring as the action quickly spilled to the outside, Allie and Nikki briefly forming an alliance to send Paige through the announce table with a double-team Suplex. Allie and Nikki progressed with their back-and-forth battle until Paige re-entered the picture with a Crossbody off the top rope. Paige took Nikki out with a Superkick before turning her attention to Allie, looking for a weapon she could use for punishment. She found a kendo stick, but was ambushed by The Assassins before she could do anything. Rosemary, Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville held Paige up while Allie prepared for her shot with the kendo stick, but Billie Kay made the save in time. She drilled Allie in the face with Shades of Kay before taking the kendo stick, chasing The Assassins out of the Wells Fargo Center. Amidst the chaos, Paige rose to her feet and tried to grab Nikki, but the crowd's sudden reaction indicated to her that something was wrong. Cena, who had no appeared since Unison, ran into the ring through the audience, turning Paige around for an Attitude Adjustment! Cena stood in a corner while the audience booed him relentlessly, Nikki crawling onto Paige for the three count. The official handed Nikki the SmackDown Women's Championship, the reality television capturing gold in her first match in almost a year. Cena helped Nikki out of the ring while she raised her new title in the air, the power couple once again finding a way to screw over Paige. And just like at Unison, they did it without explaining to the WWE Universe exactly what their issue with is with Paige.

October 10th & 11th 1) FINN BALOR (2-0) DEF. ADAM COLE (0-2) via Coup de Grace. The first international date for the 2014 Manifest Destiny tournament as the RAW superstars traveled to Malaysia. Despite the change in scenery, Balor was able to continue riding his wave of momentum by getting a measure of revenge over Undisputed ERA member Cole to extend his record to 2-0, putting him in first place along with Daniel Bryan and Drew McIntyre as of this writing.
2) THE MIZ (1-1) DEF. HARDCORE CHAMPION BUDDY MURPHY (0-2) via Skull Crushing Finale. In a battle between two superstars looking for their first Manifest Destiny victories, Miz managed to come out on top after catching Murphy's knee strike, sending him into the turnbuckles with a Dragon Screw before transitioning into the Skull Crushing Finale.
3) TRIPLE H (1-1) DEF. ROMAN REIGNS (1-1) via Pedigree. A first time ever one-on-one encounter between 'The Game' and 'The One Man Army' headlined Malaysia's live event, Hunter just narrowly pulling out the victory after turning Reigns' attempt at a Superman Punch into the Pedigree.

1) SAMI ZAYN (1-1) DEF. DEAN AMBROSE (0-2) via Helluva Kick. Back in the United States, SmackDown Live's Manifest Destiny block rolled on with Zayn and Ambrose's first ever singles match against one another. After taking a Flapjack into the top of the ring post, a dazed Ambrose was left prone for the Helluva Kick that gave 'The Underdog from the Underground' his first win in the tournament. The defending champion falls to 0-2, making his road to a repeat at Survivor Series all the more tumultuous.
2) SMACKDOWN TAG TEAM CHAMPION TJ PERKINS (2-0) DEF. JEFF HARDY (1-1) via Detonation Kick. After Hardy managed to defeat CM Punk in his first Manifest Destiny, 'The Charismatic Enigma' failed to have the same success against the other half of the SmackDown Tag Team Champions. TJP's win put him in first place alongside Andrade 'Cien' Almas.
3) JOHNNY GARGANO (2-0) DEF. INTERCONTINENTAL CHAMPION SAMOA JOE (1-1) via countering the Muscle Buster into a pinfall. Joe was able to dominate Gargano for the majority of the contest, but one mistake on the part of the Intercontinental Champion resulted in 'Johnny Wrestling' pinning his shoulders to the canvas. The irate Joe was left stunned in the ring at the outcome while Gargano quickly headed up the entrance ramp, embracing the fact that he now joins TJ Perkins and Andrade 'Cien' Almas as the only remaining undefeated participants in Manifest Destiny, though that can all change when he faces off against CM Punk at SmackDown's 15 Anniversary show next Thursday.

October 13th, 2014 | Episode 027 | "In Spite Of" THE NEW DAY TAKES A LOOK AT MANIFEST DESTINY'S THIRD WEEK: Per usual for Manifest Destiny this year, The New Day opened up RAW with a video package looking at the standings for the tournament after another weekend of live events. Daniel Bryan, Drew McIntyre and Finn Balor currently stand atop the rankings, and the former will be in action tonight against Roman Reigns, who is coming off of a crucial loss against Triple H in Malaysia. Speaking of 'The Game', he'll be taking on The Miz later tonight as both men look to progress their winning streaks. Plus, it's champion vs. champion when United States Champion Seth Rollins goes one-on-one with Hardcore Champion Buddy Murphy. Monday Night RAW starts right now.
LET THERE BE LIGHT HAVE A UNEXPECTED FOE: Cutting to the Philips Arena in Atlanta, AJ Styles' entrance music sounded as he made his way down to the ring along with The Young Bucks and Lacey Evans, collectively known as Let There Be Light. Styles took a microphone and thanked the WWE Universe members in his home state for coming to Monday Night RAW, and he knows exactly why they're all here. It's because they heard the message from God telling them that they needed to hear Styles' words as a form of cleansing from their own abhorrent sins. "Luckily for all of you, myself, Nick and Matt Jackson are just the right men of God to give all of you a proper sermon. And now, we have a 'Lady' of God who can do the same..." Styles said before handing off the microphone to Lacey, who said that when she signed with Monday Night RAW, it was because of a calling from God that had lead her to Let There Be Light. "God spoke to me and asked that I come to RAW to not only set everyone on the course to God's kingdom, but to also get rid of all the heinous, filthy nasties on this show. And I started that last week with one swift punch to the face of Maxine, which I will do again at Hell of War when the four of us face that Wyatt Tribe in a Ce-ro Mie-do Match... loooord, I don't even know what Ce-ro Mie-do means." Styles took back the microphone and asked that the audience members and everyone at home join him in a prayer as he asks God to forgive him for his recent failures and seek out a rematch against Pentagon for the Universal Championship. Just before Let There Be Light could begin the prayer, they were interrupted. Not by The Wyatt Tribe, but by Alexa Bliss, who was making her first appearance since losing the RAW Women's Championship and Money in the Bank briefcase at Payback one month ago. The WWE Universe erupted for Alexa as she remained on the stage, staring a hole through Styles. 'Little Miss Bliss' stated that after spending weeks in and out of hospitals, the only thing on her mind is to get revenge against everyone responsible for her pain and misery. She has her date with Emma in two weeks at Hell of War, so she'll store every bit of pent up frustration that she can for October 25th so she can make sure Emma gets everything she deserves. However, she came to RAW tonight for Styles. "You know in your heart that had it not been for Emma, I would've beaten you at Payback to become the Universal Champion. You got away from me by the skin of your teeth, so tonight, I want to show you that you're not better than me." The appalled Styles told Alexa that because she just cut short a prayer to the lord, he'll be more than happy to make her pay for that. However, he runs in a pack now. Wherever he goes, they go. So if Alexa can find three partners for a 8-Person Tag Team Match, then they can meet Let There Be Light in the main event.
1) UNITED STATES CHAMPION SETH ROLLINS (2-1) DEF. HARDCORE CHAMPION BUDDY MURPHY (0-3) via Curb Stomp. Rollins and Murphy engaged in a fast-paced encounter that saw the Hardcore Champion nearly best one of the favorites to win the RAW block of Manifest Destiny. Murphy had his attempt at a Hurricanrana countered into the Buckle Bomb, followed by the Curb Stomp that succeeded in giving Rollins the win and a record of 2-1.
2) RAW TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS KYLE O'REILLY & BOBBY FISH VS. THE REVIVAL ENDED IN A DOUBLE DISQUALIFICATION after Sen Reigeren interfered and attacked both teams. Killian Dain and Alexander Wolfe made their presence felt by attacking Fish, O'Reilly, Dash Wilder and Scott Dawson, throwing the match out of the window while affirming that they are in the hunt for the RAW Tag Team Championships.
SMACKDOWN LIVE PREVIEW: This Thursday, SmackDown Live presents its 15th anniversary show in a huge way. Edge returns to the blue brand to hold a special edition of The Cutting Edge with John Cena and WWE Champion Paige. The most unlikely of intergender matches becomes a reality when TJ Perkins faces off with Trish Stratus. A Women's Evolution Battle Royal takes place with five current SmackDown Live superstars, and five women from the brand's past. The winner will go on to Hell in a Cell to challenge Nikki Bella for the SmackDown Women's Championship. Plus, three more Manifest Destiny matches will be held. Kurt Angle vs. Rey Mysterio, CM Punk vs. Johnny Gargano, and Intercontinental Champion Samoa Joe vs. Dean Ambrose.
DARIO CUETO HANDS DOWN HIS BROTHER'S FATE: In the ring, RAW General Manager Dario Cueto stood alone before asking for his brother, Matanza Cueto, to join him for an announcement. Dario waited for Matanza, who made the slow walk into the ring for something that he figured wouldn't be good news. Dario said that when he became the General Manager of RAW nearly a year ago, he wanted to use his position for the greater good of the brand. "That's why I signed you to WWE. That's why I made sure I drafted you to RAW. Not out of some sort of benefit for our family, but because you embody everything that I wanted to showcase to the WWE Universe. The perfect mixture of talent, athleticism and violence. But those three things apparently don't make for a winning formula." Dario said that he tried and tried to believe in Matanza, but after months of failures, and factoring in that he still got hurt at Unison despite Matanza defeating Shane McMahon, he realizes what he has to do. "You're a 'Monster', Matanza, but you're still just my baby brother. You need to go off and find yourself. You need to seek out other opportunities because I'm all out of ones to give to you. Matanza... I'm sorry, but you're fired." After terminating his own brother's contract, Dario attempted to leave the ring, but was stopped by Matanza. 'The Monster' grabbed Dario by his collar and pinned him against a corner, enraged while Dario showed legitimate fear in his eyes. Dario tried pleading with Matanza, telling him that this was a decision he needed to make. Matanza continued fuming before turning around once he heard the crowd reacting to something. Matanza then got ripped through with a Spear from Bobby Lashley! "Bobby Lashley is here! Lashley just Speared Matanza right out of his boots!" Don Callis exclaimed. Lashley, a former ECW and United States Champion, made his way back to WWE after a seven year absence, and he just saved Dario from Matanza. Lashley dragged Matanza's carcass out of the ring, telling Dario to go back to his office while he removed 'The Monster' from the Philips Arena.
3) TRIPLE H (2-1) DEF. THE MIZ (1-2) via Pedigree. 'The Game' and 'The Awesome One' crossed paths for the first time, and it was Hunter who came out on top after planting Miz with a Pedigree. Hunter moves up in the rankings to 2-1, though he still has some ways to go before he can claim the top spot in Manifest Destiny.
4) DAKOTA KAI DEF. BAYLEY with the Kai-Ropractor. Dakota was able to get a measure of revenge against RAW Women's Champion Sasha Banks and Bayley by defeating the latter, but immediately after her win, she was attacked by Charlotte Flair and Tessa Blanchard. Just like before, Charlotte and Tessa pummeled Dakota, believing they were going to get the upper-hand over her yet again. However, that was when Asuka's entrance music sounded. Asuka, another Queen of the Ring participant, ran down to the ring, taking out Charlotte and Tessa with a series of strikes and kicks. Sasha and Bayley got out of harm's way while Asuka cleared the ring before helping Dakota up. Sasha, Bayley, Charlotte and Tessa continuously said that Dakota was outnumbered, but it would appear that 'The Captain' found a way to even the odds against the two forces in the RAW women's division.
5) DANIEL BRYAN (3-0) DEF. ROMAN REIGNS (1-2) via Avalanche Dragon Suplex. One the longer, more hard-hitting and grueling encounters of Manifest Destiny 2014 thus far. Reigns became the first superstar in the tournament to kick out of the Buisaku Knee, Bryan trying to figure out what he needed to resort to. As Bryan was in motion for a Running Corner Dropkick, Reigns caught him with the Superman Punch. Reigns looked to follow up with the Spear, but Bryan was able to dodge it. Reigns crashed his shoulder into the ring post, Bryan capitalizing by positioning him on the top rope for a Avalanche Dragon Suplex, Reigns landing on the back of his head. Bryan was able to cover Reigns to get the win and reach a 3-0 record, putting him in first place alone for the time being.
ALEXA BLISS NAMES HER TEAM: Prior to the start of the main event, Let There Be Light headed into the ring, ready for their first match-up as a unit. AJ Styles, Lacey Evans and The Young Bucks all waited patiently to see what Alexa Bliss had planned for this 8-Person Tag Team Match. Alexa walked onto the stage without any partners, Styles laughing to himself since he took that as a sign that she wasn't able to find a team. Styles took a microphone and was about to berate Alexa before he cut off by a familiar call. "Awwwww Atlanta! Don't you dare be sour! Clap for your boys and feel the power!"
6) ALEXA BLISS & THE NEW DAY DEF. LET THERE BE LIGHT via Twisted Bliss to AJ Styles. Manifest Destiny hosts The New Day put their position aside for the evening so that they could aid Alexa in the fight against Let There Be Light. After Kofi Kingston fell onto Matt Jackson and Lacey Evans with a Trust Fall, Big E took out Nick Jackson with a Spear through the ropes. Back in the ring, Styles prepped Xavier Woods for the Phenomenal Forearm until Alexa pulled his legs down during the springboard attempt. Styles fell hard onto the canvas, Woods making the tag to Alexa so she'd able to execute Twisted Bliss for the decisive fall! "Alexa Bliss just pinned AJ Styles!" Mauro Ranallo shouted into his headset as Alexa dropped to her knees in the center of the ring, overcome with emotion after one of, if not the, biggest victories of her career. After a month-long absence thanks to an attempt on her life by Emma, Alexa is right back on top of Monday Night RAW. New Day picked Alexa up onto their shoulders, allowing her the moment of glory as she looks ahead to the Hell of War Match against Emma in 12 days. During all of that, Let There Be Light retreated to the backstage area, RAW General Manager Dario Cueto exiting his office so he could follow them. In Gorilla, Dario stopped Styles and said that he saw earlier tonight when he prayed to God for a Universal Title match. "What you need to understand, Styles, is that around here, God isn't the one who gives out title shots. I do." Dario said that after seeing Styles lose to Alexa, he doesn't really have a reason to grant him a title opportunity. "But you know what? I'm a generous man. If you can do something for me, I'll do something for you. Next week, you'll face Pentagon for the Universal Championship... but this is it. This is your final shot. If you lose, you will never challenge for the Universal Title ever again."

October 15th, 2014 | Episode 027 | "Dissension on All Fronts" WILLIAM REGAL ADDS A SPIN TO TONIGHT'S QUALIFYING MATCHES: After the signature WWE intro, NXT Commissioner William Regal was shown in his office, promoting NXT TakeOver: Dallas in just a little over one month. In the main event on Survivor Series weekend, NXT will have its first-ever Elimination Chamber Match, which Kenny Omega, The Velveteen Dream and NXT Champion Bobby Roode have already qualified for. Tonight, the final three spots will be filled in three qualifying matches that will pit stablemates against each other. Tommaso Ciampa versus Eric Young, Kalisto versus Fenix, and Jimmy Havoc versus Darby Allin.
THE NEW SOUND OF NXT: Over the course of the next week, all three brands will be receiving updated intros with new theme songs. In an act of cross-promotion, SmackDown Live General Manager Poppy provided the new NXT theme, "Play Destroy". The video highlighted all of the NXT talent at both TakeOver and Full Sail events, finishing off with a montage of the champions - Bobby Roode, Ember Moon, Will Ospreay, Ricochet and Uhaa Nation - raising their pieces of gold. "I love to play destroy. Play destroy. Burn down the local Wal-Mart, Monsanto, Raytheon. Oh, boy. I love to play destroy. I love to play destroy."
RICOCHET & UHAA NATION CALL OUT THE AUTHORS OF PAIN: Appearing for the first time since being taken out by the debuting Authors of Pain, NXT Tag Team Champions Ricochet and Uhaa Nation headed into the ring to address Jinder Mahal's gargantuan duo. Uhaa started off by saying that when he and Ricochet defeated Drew McIntyre and Jinder Mahal at TakeOver: MSG, they thought they were done with both of them. "Drew went on to Monday Night RAW and to his credit, he's done nothing but dominate there. But Jinder, on the other hand, decided to stick around with his injury and sic two behemoths on us so they can do his dirty work for him." They'd have more respect for 'The Modern Day Maharaja' if he took the time to heal and then come back with a new partner to fight the two of them. "But we should've known that's not your style, Jinder," said Ricochet. He added that Akam and Rezar are intimidating, for sure, but they just set off two of NXT's top athletes in a way they never have been before. "Right now, we aren't looking to discuss a match against The Authors of Pain. What we want out of Akam and Rezar is a fight. So next week, we'll be waiting outside of Full Sail for you both. See what happens when we don't have our backs turned."
1) TOMMASO CIAMPA DEF. ERIC YOUNG TO QUALIFY FOR THE ELIMINATION CHAMBER MATCH via Project Ciampa. In the first of three Elimination Chamber qualifiers, SAnitY members battled it out as Ciampa and Young laid into one another without any remorse or consideration for faction lines. After Ciampa planted Young with a barricade-assisted DDT onto the floor, he rolled him back into the ring for Project Ciampa to secure his spot in the main event at TakeOver: Dallas.
2) FENIX DEF. KALISTO TO QUALIFY FOR THE ELIMINATION CHAMBER MATCH via Fenix Driver. 423-GET-FAME and Lucha Dragon teammates were the next two to battle it out for a Elimination Chamber spot. As Kalisto was springboarding off the top rope, Fenix was able to grab him, spiking him onto his head with the Fenix Driver to pick up the win. Not only will Fenix be competing at a TakeOver event for the first time in his career, but it'll be in a NXT Championship match.
NEXT WEEK: A four-person tournament commences and concludes in one night to determine Will Ospreay's first challenger for the WWE United Kingdom Championship. In one match, Pete Dunne battles Marty Scurll. Then, Nikki Cross will take on Killer Kelly. The winners of those two matches will meet in the main event to decide who moves on to TakeOver: Dallas to challenge 'The Aerial Assassin'.
3) DARBY ALLIN DEF. JIMMY HAVOC TO QUALIFY FOR THE ELIMINATION CHAMBER MATCH via two Coffin Drops. Not only was the second SAnitY battle of the evening, but it was the rematch from a first round Cruiserweight Classic match that saw Havoc come out victorious in. This time, the result was different as Allin flew back from the top rope onto Havoc while the latter stood on the ring apron. Allin quickly rolled Havoc into the ring, this time executing a proper Coffin Drop to get the three count. The NXT Universe members in Full Sail appeared to be stunned since most, if not all of them saw Havoc qualifying for TakeOver: Dallas. Instead, it's the dark horse of SAnitY who will have the chance to cement his legacy when he enters the Elimination Chamber structure on November 22nd in a war for the NXT Championship.

October 16th, 2014 | Episode 027 | "15" SMACKDOWN LIVE CELEBRATES 15 YEARS: At the start of the biggest edition of SmackDown Live in history, General Manager Poppy was shown in front of a wall of television screens, each displaying different memorable moments through SmackDown's 15 years on the air. "Hi, I'm Poppy. SmackDown is 15. Poppy is 15,000. Tonight. The Cutting Edge. Paige and John Cena. Get me, get me bloody. Women's Evolution Battle Royal. Five current SmackDown Live women. Five from the past. Manifest Destiny. CM Punk. Johnny Gargano. Samoa Joe. Dean Ambrose. Kurt Angle. Rey Mysterio. Oooh. SmackDown turns 15... SmackDown turns 15... SmackDown... turns... I'm Poppy."
THE NEW SOUND OF SMACKDOWN LIVE: Being the second brand this week to receive a new opening theme song, SmackDown Live's new intro was backed by "Monster" by Hands Like Houses. Unlike the NXT intro that featured mainly action shots of its roster, SmackDown Live's intro was filmed in a more anime-like manner with studio shots of the superstars. After glimpses of CM Punk, TJ Perkins, Samoa Joe, Nikki Bella and John Morrison raising their championships, the intro ended with a shot of Billie Kay and Peyton Royce with their backs turned to each other while Paige stood in the middle, holding the WWE Championship in her left hand. "Take me to my grave. Save me. I can feel it coming to life."
1) SMACKDOWN TAG TEAM CHAMPION TJ PERKINS DEF. TRISH STRATUS via Detonation Kick. SmackDown 15 kicked off with the most unlikely of intergender matches as TJ Perkins, a man who has seen a meteoric rise to the top of the brand this year, faced off with one of WWE's biggest female competitors in history, Trish Stratus. At one point in the match, Trish was looking for the Stratusfaction, but TJP threw her out to ringside. Trish ended up landing on Taynara Conti, which TJP wasn't expecting. After Trish missed the Chick Kick, TJP was able to hoist her onto his shoulders for the Detonation Kick that gave him the win. TJP had a over-the-top celebration afterward, heading up the entrance ramp with his back turned to the curtain. Suddenly, the fans in Birmingham erupted as Beth Phoenix, another superstar from SmackDown's past, ran down the ramp. 'The Glamazon' grabbed TJP and rolled him into the ring, Trish finally delivering the Chick Kick! While TJP was dazed, Beth was able to lift him off of his feet for the Glam Slam! Trish and Beth were able to extract revenge against TJP on behalf of all women, the two raising each other's arms.
BILLIE KAY IS REMINDED THAT SMACKDOWN LIVE HASN'T ALWAYS BEEN 'ICONIC': Backstage, Renee Young was standing by with Billie Kay, who will be one of the ten female superstars competing in tonight's Women's Evolution Battle Royal for a SmackDown Women's Championship opportunity at Hell in a Cell. Billie told Renee that while Peyton Royce isn't physically present in the arena tonight, her wedding ring means that Peyton is with her everywhere she goes. "So, not only for myself, but Peyton as well, I'm going to win the Women's Evolution Battle Royal tonight and move on to Hell in a Cell, which is where I will make the SmackDown Live women's division absolutely... ICON-" Suddenly, Billie stopped when she noticed two people staring at her off screen. The camera panned out to reveal Michelle McCool and Layla, the former set to compete in tonight's Battle Royal as well. Layla told Billie that before she and Peyton came around, LayCool was the female duo calling the shots on SmackDown. "And in the Women's Evolution Battle Royal," said Michelle. "You'll find out that being Iconic will never mean as much as being... Flawless!"
2) CODY RHODES & BRANDI RHODES DEF. ANDRADE 'CIEN' ALMAS & ZELINA VEGA via Cross Rhodes to Almas. After Almas upset Cody last week in a Manifest Destiny match, a special intergender tag team bout was set for SmackDown 15. Brandi was able to take out Zelina with a Thesz Press onto the floor while Cody defeated Almas in the ring. As Cody and Brandi celebrated their win, Sami Zayn was shown in the locker room area, watching his tag team partner have his moment of glory on SmackDown 15. It had to be eating away at Zayn to know that he wasn't booked on the show despite being WWE Champion just a few months ago.
REMEMBERING A SMACKDOWN LEGEND: At this time, a special video package began playing for Eddie Guerrero, set to an acoustic rendition of "Someone, Somewhere" by Asking Alexandria. One of the greatest superstars in the history of SmackDown was remembered by many of his peers and those who didn't know him personally, but cited him as inspirations in their careers. Highlights from Guerrero's career were shown, culminating with his WWE Championship victory at No Way Out 2004. "Even though I'm on my own, I know I'm not alone. 'Cause I know there's someone, somewhere, praying that I make it home." The video ended with a still shot of Eddie raising the WWE Title while a voiceover from Peyton Royce, who had to record her part from home since she's still medically suspended, played. "Eddie was my hero. He's the reason I became a professional wrestler in the first place. There is no me without Eddie Guerrero, and I can't accept the fact that I'll never get to tell him that."
3) ADRIAN NEVILLE DEF. JOHN MORRISON VIA DISQUALIFICATION IN A CRUISERWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH when Roderick Strong hit the ring to attack Neville. Just as Neville was about to execute the Red Arrow and possibly become Cruiserweight Champion, Strong shoved him off of the top rope. Strong then picked Neville up off the floor, throwing him back-first onto the steel steps. In the ring, Morrison was handed back the Cruiserweight Title, 'The Mayor of Slam Town' believing that he was going to have his spotlight on SmackDown 15 until Strong went after him as well. 'The Messiah of the Backbreaker' planted Morrison with The End of Heartache before posing with the Cruiserweight Title that he's become obsessed with.
4) BILLIE KAY LAST ELIMINATED EVE TORRES TO WIN THE WOMEN'S EVOLUTION BATTLE ROYAL via Shades of Kay over the top rope. Mandy Rose, Sonya Deville, Rosemary, the debuting Candice LeRae, Mickie James, Molly Holly, Torrie Wilson and Michelle McCool were the other eight women who completed the field. Molly was the first one to be eliminated by Mandy and Sonya, who were also successful in eliminating Torrie after Rosemary spewed red mist into her eyes. Rosemary was then surprised by Candice, who was able to knock her off the ring apron with a springboard Dropkick. Candice's shining moment was cut short by Eve, who threw her over the top rope. Eve turned around and walked into a Crossbody from Mickie, taking her out for a moment. Mickie was then eliminated by Sonya. Next, Michelle inadvertently eliminated herself when Billie pulled down the top rope during a Big Boot attempt. When Michelle spilled to the floor, Layla checked on her friend while Billie mocked LayCool, whom she had an interaction with earlier. Billie turned around and realized that she was left alone with Mandy and Sonya. Against all odds, Billie was able to Clothesline both Assassins members over the top rope, believing she had won. However, Eve would sneak up behind Billie and attempt to eliminate her. Arguably the greatest Divas Champion of all-time, and the woman who was responsible for Paige's initial rise to the top in 2012, Eve was looking to get her revenge against the current WWE Champion by crushing her best friend's dreams. Eve ran toward Billie, who caught her in position for RamPaige! Eve staggered to her feet, Billie charging into her with Shades of Kay that sent her over the top rope! As a result of Billie's win, she will now challenge Nikki Bella for the SmackDown Women's Championship in 10 days at Hell in a Cell.
5) CM PUNK (2-1) DEF. JOHNY GARGANO (2-1) via Go To Sleep. The future of SmackDown Live met the brand's present in the first-ever one-on-one match between Punk and Gargano, When Gargano went for the Slingshot DDT that got him his win over Rey Mysterio, Punk was able to catch him in position for the Go To Sleep. Punk covered Gargano to break his perfect record in Manfiest Destiny, both men now sitting at 2-1 on the board. This means that Sunday's match in Montreal between TJ Perkins and Andrade 'Cien' Almas will determine the last remaining undefeated competitor in SmackDown Live's block.
6) DEAN AMBROSE (1-2) DEF. INTERCONTINENTAL CHAMPION SAMOA JOE (1-2) via Dirty Deeds. Both Ambrose and Joe have had thus far disappointing runs in Manifest Destiny, especially the former who won the entire tournament last year. 'The Lunatic Fringe' managed to pick up the win after countering the Muscle Buster into Dirty Deeds, but he still has a long way to go before he can count on repeating last year's success.
THE MAN COMES AROUND: The commentary team of Mauro Ranallo, Nigel McGuinness and Rob Naylor were previewing the upcoming Manifest Destiny match between Kurt Angle and Rey Mysterio when the WWE Universe members in Birmingham suddenly began reacting to something. "What on earth? Wait, that's Becky Lynch! Becky Lynch is here!" Ranallo exclaimed as Becky walked through the crowd with a crutch, still feeling the effects of having one of her legs be set on fire in the Inferno Match against Allie last month at Unforgiven. Becky rolled into the ring, standing up on her crutch afterward while asking for a microphone. Becky said that she's been on the shelf for far too long, and Allie's been able to run around scot-free for too long as well. "Allie, here's what you're going to do. Your'e gonna come down to this ring right now, look me in the eyes and take the beating you have coming." Becky wasn't greeted by Allie, but instead The Assassins. Rosemary, Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville were prepared to defend their absent leader, surrounding the ring before heading in. Becky, however, took the crutch, revealing that she was feigning the injury just to lure them in. Becky beat The Assassins with the crutch, striking all three of them repeatedly as the crutch bent over their bones. Becky stood amongst the fallen Assassins before telling Allie that she isn't giving her much more time to decide if she wants to settle their score. "If I have to drag your ass to Hell in a Cell myself, then that's exactly what I'll do, Allie. In 10 days, I want a fight. In 10 days, I want to end your career the way you tried ending mine! In 10 days, Allie, I want you to face me... INSIDE Hell in a Cell!"
7) REY MYSTERIO (1-2) DEF. KURT ANGLE (0-3) via Frog Splash. Two of SmackDown Live's biggest superstars in history competed in a throwback match of sort. Both were looking to capture their first victories in Manifest Destiny thus far, and ultimately, it was Mysterio who managed to do so after utilizing Eddie Guerrero's Frog Splash to defeat Angle. Post-match, Mysterio assisted Angle to his feet, the two superstars and longtime rivals embracing after what was likely their final one-on-one encounter against each other.
THE CUTTING EDGE LEADS TO A EMOTIONAL VERBAL ENCOUNTER BETWEEN PAIGE AND JOHN CENA:To conclude SmackDown 15, "Metallingus" by Alter Bridge sounded to signal the arrival of a man who has referred to SmackDown as his "home" while active on the WWE roster. One of the most decorated superstars of all-time was introduced by Tony Chimel, Edge heading into the ring for a Cutting Edge edition that he knew could break into chaos at any moment. "If there's anyone who understands what the WWE Championship can do to someone's mental state and be the necessary voice of reason for a hostile situation in the title picture, it's 'The Rated R Superstar'," Mauro Ranallo stated. Edge took his microphone and thanked the WWE Universe for supporting SmackDown Live throughout its 15 year history, and on behalf of every superstar that has ever been on team blue, he can safely say that this show has spawned some of the all-time greats in WWE. "My two guests tonight are no exception because it was on SmackDown where they won their first WWE Championships. Two superstars who are guaranteed to someday join the Hall of Fame. But before they can think about that, they're going to be locked inside of Hell in a Cell in 10 days." Edge asked for Paige and John Cena to join him because he has some things he wants to get across to the both of them.
Paige was the first of the guests to walk through the curtain, the WWE Champion giving a blank stare to the masses that cheered for her. "If anyone is expecting to see Billie Kay and Nikki Bella potentially get involved, don't get your hopes up because both women have been escorted out of the arena in order to prevent another scene from last week," Nigel McGuinness said while Paige entered the ring. She stood near one side of the ropes while waiting for Cena, who received unanimous boos instead of the usual mixed reaction. Cena walked down to the ring, standing across from Paige as Edge stood in between the two of them.
Edge first spoke to Paige individually, telling her that he's immensely proud of her success. "You've done things in this industry that no one ever believed were possible. You were the first woman to ever main event WrestleMania. The first woman to ever win Money in the Bank. The first woman to ever become WWE Champion. Those are three of my own proud accomplishments, and I'm beyond thrilled that after all this time, there is someone like you in that class with myself. But Paige... the fact that you and I are so similar scares me because look at how the story turned out for me. I didn't get the chance to walk out of wrestling on my own terms, and I'll never be able to. Because I threw caution to the wind time after time after time, the ability to do my job was taken away from me. Watching your matches is extremely difficult for me because I see everything that I did wrong in this ring. You are hurting yourself. Your body cannot take much more of your style. And yes, I'm a hypocrite for telling you all of this because I put myself through TLC Matches. Through Steel Cage Matches. I dove myself head-first through a flaming table just so I could have a WrestleMania moment. I thought I was invincible and then reality caught up to me. One wrong turn of my neck and I'm not standing on my own two feet right now. I don't even want to ask how your neck is doing because I don't think I could stomach the truth. If you don't change something about the way you approach professional wrestling... this story ends with you paralyzed or even dead. You're 22, Paige. You have your whole career and life ahead of you. Please... don't end it all for a business that is going to continue when you're gone."
Paige didn't say a single word back to Edge, and 'The Rated R Superstar' could tell from the look in her eyes that nothing he said was getting through to her. Disappointed, Edge turned to Cena, the two former rivals meeting face-to-face for the first time since 2010. "... John, I owe a lot to you. It wasn't until I dethroned you for the WWE Championship that this company took me seriously as a top star. Without you, I don't know if I would've ended up with the Hall of Fame career that I did. You were to me what someone like AJ Lee was to Paige." When Edge said that, Paige looked down at the canvas, thinking to herself about AJ since no one has seen nor heard from 'The Black Widow' since SummerSlam. "You and I were just meant to go to war with each other. And it's those wars that had a hand in cutting my career short. That's not me blaming you for what happened. My early retirement was all on me and I've come to terms with that. What I don't understand is why you feel the need to target Paige so maliciously. It can't be for the WWE Championship because you've won that thing while doing much less harm to your opponent than you have to Paige. It can't be because you're jealous of her being the new face of the company because you've always said that when someone's time came for them to take your place, you'd let it happen. But I literally, literally cannot think of any other explanation. I don't think I've ever hated you, John. Even at our worst, I at least respected you. But for the first time... I think I'm disappointed in you." After speaking his mind to Cena, Edge exited the ring, allowing the two Hell in a Cell opponents their chance to speak face-to-face for the first time and hopefully receive answers.
Cena: "... Why, right? That's going to be your question. That's the same question that everyone else has. Why did Nikki Bella and I attack you? Edge seemed to have the same theory as everyone else in the WWE Universe, which is that I became jealous of your success. Paige, I'm not jealous of anything. I've been waiting for the day that someone took my spot at the top of the WWE. And I'm happy that it was you because you resonate with the people. You have the kind of connection with the audience that can't be fabricated. It can't be written down somewhere or spoken into existence. It just has to happen organically. Somewhere along the way, you became theirs and they became yours. That is a beautiful thing, Paige. Here's the truth about the attack. Nicole and Brie bumped into Allie after SummerSlam and she had some very, very choice words for you. That sparked the idea in Nicole's mind to do something about you because she still holds a grudge against you. I said I have to no problem with you being the face of the WWE, but she does because she believes that two years ago, you took her chance to become the top female superstar that we have. When Total Divas was announced, she was supposed to be the next in line for the Divas Championship and all of the perks that come with that. But like I said, you organically got there first. Good for you, Paige, but Nicole hated you for that and she still does. She came to me with the idea of getting back at you after SummerSlam. I didn't want to agree to it, but I had to consider what saying no to Nicole would've meant. I've been in this industry for a long time, Paige, and I'm not stupid. I know that my time is winding down. Sooner than later, I won't be a full-time WWE superstar anymore. That means that I need to start thinking about what my life after wrestling will look like. I already went through one separation with someone who I thought I'd be able to go home to after retirement and settle down with for the rest of my life. My dedication to this company cost me my first marriage. I can't lose Nicole because after I'm gone from this company, she will be the only thing left that I have to my name! I was looking out for my future, and I'm sorry that it almost came at the expense of yours. But I was scared, Paige. Scared of losing someone that I love. That's why I did what I did."
Paige: "... ... ... You tried to kill me because you're p*ssy whipped?! THAT'S what this was for?! You were scared of losing Nikki Bella, so you decided to just go along with her plan and try to kill me in a hotel?! Are you actually kidding me, John? After everything that you've stood for in your career... hustle, loyalty, respect... every Make-A-Wish that you have to your name, you decided to risk throwing it all away for a woman who threatened to leave you if you didn't give in to her demands?!?"
Cena: "Paige, I made one decision. Okay? One decision. That does NOT rescind everything that I stand for! I will still look these people in the eyes and tell them to never give up and believe in themselves! And don't you dare bring up Make-A-Wish because you could NEVER do what I do for this company! No one could! I've carried the WWE on my back for 10 years and I was able to withstand every hardship that comes with this life, and you're running away from it because you've decided three months into your WWE Championship reign that you can't take any more of this! That's why you're leaving!"
Paige: "... ... ..."
Cena: "... You really didn't think that was something you and Poppy could hide, did you? That's right, everyone. Paige is leaving WWE. When her contract expires in April, she's not re-signing. So don't you dare to try to suggest that I stand for nothing when you regret ever connecting with these fans. They love you and you're going to turn your back on them."
Not knowing how to respond to Cena - or address the WWE Universe about her contract situation - Paige resorted to trying to hit Cena where it hurts.
Paige: "... Hey, John. If you love Nikki Bella so much, where's her wedding ring? Where are her children?"
Cena: "... ... ... I'd ask where your wedding ring is, but we all know that Billie Kay gave it to Peyton Royce instead of you. As for where your children are..."
Paige was left stunned at the fact that Cena just made a joke out of her abortion and miscarriage. That made Paige snap as the WWE Champion finally went after Cena, striking him repeatedly. Cena was able to push Paige away before reaching into his pocket, pulling out a steel chain. Cena quickly wrapped it around his fist before leveling Paige in the forehead! Cena stared down at the WWE Champion, glancing back at the chain as he looked to be regretting what he had just said and done. But he couldn't take any of it back, so he might as well just keep going. Cena pulled Paige out to ringside, lifting her up for an Attitude Adjustment through the announce table! Paige was left laid out over the scattered parts of the table, Cena able to get the better of her for the third time in a row.

October 17th & 18th 1) DERRICK BATEMAN (2-1) DEF. KOTA IBUSHI (1-2) via TKO. After losing his first Manifest Destiny match and casting doubt in the minds of the WWE Universe that he could succeed, Bateman managed to pick up his second consecutive win in the tournament, finally giving him a winning record.
2) DREW MCINTYRE (3-0) DEF. ADAM COLE (0-3) via Claymore. Cole had the opportunity to not only give himself his first victory in Manifest Destiny, but to also end McIntyre's undefeated streak. That was not to be, however, as 'The Scottish Psychopath' put down the leader of The Undisputed ERA to keep his chances at reaching the finals stronger than ever.
3) KEVIN OWENS (1-2) DEF. FINN BALOR (2-1) via Pop-Up Powerbomb. Not only was Owens fighting for his first Manifest Destiny win, but he was doing so against the undefeated Balor in his home providence of Quebec. With the entire audience behind him, Owens was able to finish off Balor with the Pop-Up Powerbomb to break his spell of bad luck while making Balor suffer his first loss in the tournament.

1) SAMI ZAYN (2-1) DEF. JEFF HARDY (1-2) via Helluva Kick. Just like Kevin Owens the day prior at the RAW live event, Zayn has a hero's welcome in Montreal, Quebec. Sending Hardy into the corner off of a Twist of Fate attempt, Zayn was able to drill 'The Charismatic Enigma' with the Helluva Kick to seal the victory. Zayn moves up to 2-1 in the SmackDown Live block while Hardy falls to 1-2.
2) CODY RHODES (2-1) DEF. MATT RIDDLE (1-2) via Din's Fire. When Riddle attempted to take Rhodes down for an Armbar, 'The American Nightmare' battered 'The King of Bros' with a headbutt to the back of his neck before setting him up for Din's Fire, a new finishing maneuver that was Rhodes' take on the Vertebreaker. Rhodes covered Riddle to get the win, tying Sami Zayn's record of 2-1 before the two teammates square off at Hell in a Cell in one week.
3) SMACKDOWN TAG TEAM CHAMPION TJ PERKINS (3-0) DEF. ANDRADE 'CIEN' ALMAS (2-1) via Kneebar. This match turned out to be the most physical so far in Manifest Destiny as TJP and Almas were fighting to see who would be the final remaining undefeated competitor in SmackDown Live's block. Testing out the 60-minute time limit set for all tournament matches, this bout ran for 42 minutes, making it the longest match in Manifest Destiny history. At one point in the match, Taynara Conti put TJP's foot on the bottom rope after Almas delivered Destino, leading to Zelina Vega taking out 'The Real Black Belt' with a Hurricanrana into the steel steps. Almas was sent into a corner off of a Back Body Drop from TJP, the back of his head spiking the canvas. TJP dragged Almas into the center of the ring, applying the Kneebar. By that point, the crowd decided that despite their disdain for both superstars, they wanted to see 'El Idolo' pull off the victory. Almas reached for the ropes, Zelina trying to cheer him on. TJP then released the hold just so he could kick Zelina square in the face through the ropes. TJP turned around and was rolled into a small package by Almas, able to kick out at two. As he kicked out, TJP grabbed Almas' legs, reapplying the Kneebar that Almas passed out in. The official raised Almas' arm as it dropped lifelessly to the mat, calling for the bell. TJP is the only superstar left in the SmackDown Live block who has yet to suffer a single loss in Manifest Destiny.

October 20th, 2014 | Episode 028 | "In Hell's Wake" THE NEW DAY ONCE AGAIN PREVIEWS MANIFEST DESTINY: To kick off the final RAW before Hell of War on Saturday, The New Day looked at the Manifest Destiny standings at the moment for the RAW block. As of now, Drew McIntyre and Daniel Bryan are the only two undefeated superstars remaining, and as long as both can come out of this Friday's live event victorious, that bout will be for all of the bragging rights. Tonight, however, Adam Cole - whom New Day shouted, "Bay Bay!" for after saying his name - will look for his first tournament win against Roman Reigns. In a rematch from No Mercy a few months ago, United States Champion Seth Rollins goes one-on-one with Finn Balor. And Triple H takes on Kevin Owens.
THE NEW SOUND OF MONDAY NIGHT RAW: Completing the sequence of new opening theme songs for each of the three brands, RAW debuted its new intro song, "Save Your Breath" by My Enemies & I. The video resembled SmackDown Live's with studio shots of its roster, finishing off with a glimpse of AJ Styles on his knees and looking up at the sky while the lyrics to the chorus signaled jabs at him. "We don't need you prayers. There's no hope, but we don't care. We've heard you say it a million times, yeah. We'll burn in hell. You can save your breath now 'cause we don't care."
ALEXA BLISS AND EMMA SIGN THEIR HELL OF WAR CONTRACT: In the arena in Roanoke, the ring was shown set up with a contract lying on the surface a table, surrounded by not only a plethora of security guards, but also RAW Commissioner Stephanie McMahon. General Manager Dario Cueto chose to sit this signing out, resting in his office that Bobby Lashley guarded the door to. Stephanie introduced the two woman who will main event Hell of War in the titular match this Saturday night, Alexa Bliss and Emma. The two were coming face-to-face for the first time since Payback, where Emma cost Alexa the Universal Championship in her Money in the Bank cash-in. Over the last two weeks, Alexa and Emma have gained momentum by defeating the two men who are currently rivaling over the Universal Title, AJ Styles and Pentagon respectively. The two women were kept distant from each other, Stephanie not wanting an altercation. "If it were up to me, this feud would be settled under different circumstances and not something out of the brain of Dario Cueto. But, you both have agreed to these terms for whatever reason, so let me remind the two of you what the Hell of War Match means. First, you'll compete in a First Blood Match. One of you will have to bleed before the second phase can commence. From there, it'll be a No Holds Barred Match. Anything goes. No disqualifications. No count-outs. Whatever weapons you can find scattered throughout the arena will be legal. And if necessary, the third fall will be an Ambulance Match. The only way to win is to physically put your opponent's carcass into the back of an ambulance and close the doors." Stephanie tried to elaborately explain the stipulations in order to persuade Alexa and Emma to not sign the contract, but they still did so anyway. Emma took a microphone and told Alexa that she'll tell her to her face what she said a few weeks ago. "Whether this match goes to the third fall or not, I will ensure that you leave Hell of War in an ambulance, just like you did at Payback. Only this time, you're never coming back." Alexa responded to Emma by saying that she shouldn't be so vengeful toward her. "You know why? Because look at what I've done for your career. Hell of War will be my fourth Pay-Per-View main event. How many have you had, Emma? Oh, right. This will be your first. The only reason Monday Night RAW is 'All about Emma' is because I'm allowing the spotlight to shine down onto you because I want the world to watch as I tear you apart and end your career the way you tried ending mine! You say that I'm leaving Hell of War in an ambulance? No, Emma. You are, and I hope you do come back afterward because I want to see the look on your face when I go on to become the brand new Universal Champion!" The rivalry between Alexa and Emma concludes this Saturday in the most gruesome way imaginable. The first-ever Hell of War Match.
1) ROMAN REIGNS (2-2) DEF. ADAM COLE (0-4) via Spear. Again, Cole was forced to go into a Manifest Destiny match on his own without the aid of the RAW Tag Team Champions Kyle O'Reilly and Bobby Fish. Reigns was able to extract revenge for his loss to The Undisputed ERA back at Payback by running through Cole with a Spear to secure his second tournament win thus far. Reigns now looks ahead to Hell of War on Saturday where he'll renew a longstanding rivalry against someone he broke through with in FCW, United States Champion Seth Rollins.
2) DAKOTA KAI & ASUKA DEF. RAW WOMEN'S CHAMPION SASHA BANKS & BAYLEY via Asuka Lock to Bayley. Dakota finally had the backup that she needed, and it paid dividends to have Asuka by her side as 'The Empress' was able to choke Bayley out with her Asuka Lock. Charlotte Flair and Tessa Blanchard watched from the announce table, not impressed with Asuka's performance. As the two were about to leave to the backstage area, RAW General Manager Dario Cueto emerged from his office for a special announcement. For the first time ever, the RAW Women's Championship will be on the line in a Gauntlet Match this Saturday at Hell of War.
SMACKDOWN LIVE PREVIEW: Three days before he looks to capture his 14th WWE Championship inside of Hell in a Cell from Paige, John Cena competes in his first-ever one-on-one intergender match against Billie Kay. After being challenged to a Hell in a Cell Match by Becky Lynch, Allie will return to SmackDown Live to respond. Plus, three more Manifest Destiny matches take place in the forms of Jeff Hardy vs. Johnny Gargano, Intercontinental Champion Samoa Joe vs. SmackDown Tag Team Champion TJ Perkins, and SmackDown Tag Team Champion CM Punk vs. Cody Rhodes in a WrestleMania rematch.
3) KEVIN OWENS (2-2) DEF. TRIPLE H (2-2) via Stunner. After picking up his first Manifest Destiny win over the weekend against Finn Balor, Kevin Owens was able to keep the ball rolling with a much-needed victory over Triple H. 'The Game' somehow managed to kick out of Owens' Pop-Up Powerbomb, so 'The Prizefighter' had to dig deeper into his arsenal and pulled out the Stunner, paying homage to his favorite WWE superstar of all-time. Owens has now scored two wins in a row, and he'll look to make it three on Saturday at Hell of War against the winless Adam Cole.
4) DERRICK BATEMAN DEF. R-TRUTH with the Pedigree. Again, R-Truth was put into a one-on-one contest against a Manifest Destiny participant to keep up the illusion from Dario Cueto that Truth is actually in the tournament. After being absent from Monday Night RAW for a few weeks because of the Manifest Destiny schedule, Bateman unleashed a cornucopia of pent-up frustrations against Truth. Even after delivering the TKO, Bateman decided that wasn't enough. He proceeded to plant Truth with the Pedigree, effectively calling out the man he'll face this Saturday at Hell of War, Triple H. "It's a collision of generations on Saturday in St. Louis. The most heinous and despicable superstar of the previous era against the man who holds claim to that title for the present day. It's Triple H versus Derrick Bateman for the first time ever," Mauro Ranallo said.
5) FINN BALOR (3-1) DEF. UNITED STATES CHAMPION SETH ROLLINS (2-2) via Coup de Grace. In a rematch from No Mercy, Balor was able to repeat the result of May 3rd by putting Rollins down. While the United States Champion will have his hands full on Saturday against Roman Reigns, Balor has a date with 'The A-Lister' The Miz at Hell of War in a rematch of the Cueto Cup Finals that took place back at Vengeance.
HELL OF WAR CARD RUNDOWN: Six key match-ups in Manifest Destiny take center stage on Saturday. Triple H vs. Derrick Bateman; United States Champion Seth Rollins vs. Roman Reigns; Finn Balor vs. The Miz; Kevin Owens vs. Adam Cole; Hardcore Champion Buddy Murphy vs. Kota Ibushi; and a battle of the undefeated participants in Drew McIntyre vs. Daniel Bryan. The RAW Women's Championship is at stake in a Gauntlet Match that will see Sasha Banks defend against Bayley, Dakota Kai, Asuka, Charlotte Flair and Tessa Blanchard. In an eight-person Cero Miedo Match, the members of The Wyatt Tribe battle Let There Be Light. And lastly, Alexa Bliss battles Emma in the first-ever Hell of War Match. In Dario Cueto's take on the Three Stages of Hell Match, the first fall will be a First Blood Match. Then, the second fall will be contested under No Holds Barred rules. If a third fall is necessary, it'll be an Ambulance Match. The winner will earn a future opportunity at the Universal Championship. Hell of War is live this Saturday night on Pay-Per-View and the WWE Network.
6) AJ STYLES DEF. PENTAGON TO WIN THE UNIVERSAL CHAMPIONSHIP via Styles Clash. This was it for Styles. If he failed to defeat Pentagon here tonight, he would never be allowed to challenge for the Universal Championship ever again. After Pentagon kicked out of the Phenomenal Forearm, Styles proceeded to get down onto his knees and pray, which lead to The Young Bucks and Lacey Evans - Let There Be Light - marching down to ringside. The Wyatt Tribe was prepared as Bray Wyatt, Randy Orton and Maxine ran out through the audience to take care of the heavenly ensemble. The official tried restoring order at ringside, demanding that the two factions cease their combat. During that distraction, Styles looked underneath the ring, bringing out a small vial of holy water. Styles opened the vial and threw the water into Pentagon's eyes, blinding him temporarily. Styles added further insult to injury by kicking Pentagon below the belt before executing the Styles Clash, the official turning around to see the pin attempt. The three count was made, Styles rushing out of the ring. "AJ Styles just stole the Universal Championship!" Mauro Ranallo exclaimed as Styles was handed the title, Let There Be Light following him through the audience as the stunned Wyatt Tribe couldn't believe what just happened. Styles climbed the stairs in the audience and raised the Universal Title up to the sky, letting his gratitude toward God be known. AJ Styles is now a two-time Universal Champion!
