October 21st 1) SAMI ZAYN (3-1) DEF. KURT ANGLE (0-4) via Helluva Kick. Another international date for SmackDown Live's Manifest Destiny block as the blue brand traveled to Mexico City, Mexico on Tuesday, set to travel right back to the States afterward for SmackDown Live this Thursday in Wichita, Kansas. A dream match-up for many in the WWE Universe as Sami Zayn took on Kurt Angle, 'The Underdog from the Underground' coming out on top with a Helluva Kick that Angle staggered into after a failed Moonsault attempt. Angle is still winless in the tournament, and now Zayn can rest comfortably at second place for the time being with the potential to tie for first if TJ Perkins loses to Intercontinental Champion Samoa Joe on Thursday.
2) DEAN AMBROSE (2-2) DEF. MATT RIDDLE (1-3) via Dirty Deeds. Capitalizing on the momentum he seized after defeating Intercontinental Champion Samoa Joe last week at SmackDown 15, Ambrose was able to put Riddle away with Dirty Deeds, finally looking formidable in some capacity as the previous winner of Manifest Destiny.
3) REY MYSTERIO (2-2) DEF. ANDRADE 'CIEN' ALMAS (2-2) via 619 and Splash. In front of a red-hot crowd in Mexico City, Mysterio and Almas recreated the magic from their Unforgiven classic, even perhaps topping themselves. Almas will still spent from the 42-minute bout with TJ Perkins this past week, but 'El Idolo' continued to fight 'The Greatest Mask of All-Time' regardless of the fact. Mysterio faked out Almas with an attempt as Destino that he never intended connecting with. Mysterio landed on his feet and kicked the confused Almas into the ropes for the 619 and springboard Splash combination. Mysterio covered Almas to get back his win from Unforgiven, celebrating with the WWE Universe members in Mexico City. Post-match, Almas rose to his feet and came face-to-face with Mysterio, Zelina Vega standing off to the side while wondering what her business associate was going to do. Almas gained a great deal of respect from his peers for the TJP match, and tonight was no different story. He never resorted to underhanded tactics. He didn't try taking the easy way out like he's done many times over in the past. Almas recognized Mysterio's passion and desire for the sport, and thus, extended his hand out. An uncharacteristic move from Almas as he and Mysterio shook each other's hands, the embrace interrupted by TJP! One-half of the SmackDown Tag Team Champions jumped Almas from behind, shoving him into Mysterio. TJP looked to his side and connected with a Superkick to Zelina before throwing Mysterio shoulder-first into the ring post. TJP then applied the Kneebar to Almas, trying to further punish the man who many believe gave him the greatest match of his career. TJP just can't let go of the fact that despite winning on Saturday, people were talking about Almas' gutsy performance rather than his victorious one.

October 22nd, 2014 | Episode 028 | "Elevated" WILL OSPREAY SITS ATOP THE NXT THRONE: NXT opened up with the arrival of the inaugural WWE United Kingdom Champion, Will Ospreay. ‘The Aerial Assassin’ headed down to the ring to a chorus of boos from the Full Sail University crowd who wanted just about anyone else in the Ladder Match at Unison to retrieve the United Kingdom Title instead of Ospreay. Unbothered by the response, Ospreay said that it’s a shame so very few can understand the fact that there was no better option to carry the WWE United Kingdom Championship and begin its legacy. “Who else was going to wave the banner? Let’s be real. Did you people really want Pete Dunne? Or Marty Scurll? Or Mark Haskins? Or Zack Sabre Jr.? Certainly not Toni Storm. I am the absolute best professional wrestler in the world today, and I’m still more than a decade away from reaching my prime. Everyone wrote me off after the Cruiserweight Classic, but I wasn’t going to just take my ball and go back home. This is my dream! This is my passions! This is my everything! And I’m not going to quit just because you people can’t appreciate talent!” Ospreay then said that he knows there was some controversy in the outcome at Unison because of Bea Priestley. He said that Bea made a decision that she thought was in her best interest. It wasn’t a coordinated attack on Toni, but he can’t help but feel happy that Bea showed him the admiration that the entire NXT Universe should. “If NXT doesn’t want Bea around, then that’s their loss. But they’re not getting rid of me. I’m not going anywhere as long as I have this,” Ospreay said before raising the United Kingdom Championship.
1) PETE DUNNE DEF. MARTY SCURLL via The Bitter End. Two men determined to get into the WWE United Kingdom Championship picture after failing to win the gold at Unison, Dunne was able to overcome Scurll to secure a spot in the main event tonight for 'The Bruiserweight' and bring him one step closer to Will Ospreay at TakeOver: Dallas.
2) KILLER KELLY DEF. NIKKI CROSS via Fisherman Buster. Two women who weren't granted the opportunity to compete in the Ladder Match at Unison had their chance to qualify for the number one contenders main event. Kelly was able to get the win and continue picking up momentum, while taking away Nikki's chance to join her SAnitY stablemates Tommaso Ciampa and Darby Allin in championship matches at TakeOver: Dallas.
RICOCHET & UHAA NATION FIGHT THE AUTHORS OF PAIN: Last week, NXT Tag Team Champions Ricochet and Uhaa Nation announced that they would be waiting outside of Full Sail University for a fight against The Authors of Pain. Akam and Rezar would soon show up, not bringing Jinder Mahal with them this time since they wanted to handle Ricochet and Uhaa themselves. The two teams began brawling outside of the building, Uhaa initially able to use his strength and drive Akam into a wall. Off to the side, Ricochet was able to jump off of a platform and evade Rezar before catching him with an Enziguri. The NXT Tag Team Champions held their own until Akam and Rezar picked up Ricochet and Uhaa respectively, ramming them into walls. Akam then took Ricochet and threw him across a lounge area, knocking over every single chair in sight. Uhaa was on his own from that point on, and he fought to no avail since Rezar sent him crashing through a nearby table with a Powerbomb. No matter what they do, Ricochet and Uhaa can't get The Authors of Pain's number, and it's inevitable that at some point soon, the two teams will meet for the NXT Tag Team Championships.
NEXT WEEK: We'll hear from the six participants in the Elimination Chamber Match - NXT Champion Bobby Roode, Velveteen Dream, Tommaso Ciampa, Darby Allin, Fenix and Kenny Omega - to get their thoughts on what awaits them in Dallas. Plus, Toni Storm and Zack Sabre Jr. will once again have the chance to settle their rivalry when they meet one-on-one.
3) PETE DUNNE VS. KILLER KELLY ENDED IN A DOUBLE DISQUALIFICATION when Will Ospreay and Bea Priestley attacked both of them. The exhilarating bout between Dunne and Kelly never reached a definitive conclusion as Ospreay and Bea, the latter of whom promised to stay out of all NXT affairs, went after the two superstars, seemingly to prevent either from becoming the number one contender to the WWE United Kingdom Championship. After Ospreay leveled both Dunne and Kelly with the gold, the two headed to the backstage area, where security was waiting to escort Bea from Full Sail. Ospreay tried following her, but was stopped by William Regal. The NXT Commissioner not only expressed his disappointment in Ospreay, but also informed 'The Aerial Assassin' that because of the stunt he just pulled, he'll defend the WWE United Kingdom Championship against both Pete Dunne and Killer Kelly in a Triple Threat Match at TakeOver: Dallas.

October 23rd, 2014 | Episode 028 | "Marching Into Hell" POPPY COUNTS DOWN THE DAYS TO HELL IN A CELL: "I'm Poppy. Hell in a Cell. Three days away. 72 hours. 4,320 minutes. 259,000 seconds. Tonight. John Cena. Billie Kay. I hope no one gets hurt. Manifest Destiny. CM Punk. Cody Rhodes. Jeff Hardy. Johnny Gargano. Samoa Joe. TJ Perkins. Allie is here, too. Allie is my friend. Allie can be Poppy if she wants to. All of you can be Poppy. Even me. I'm Poppy."
NIKKI BELLA TAKES OFFENSE TO AN IMPERSONATION OF HER: Cutting to the arena in Wichita, the entrance music of Nikki Bella hit to a chorus of boos for what the WWE Universe expected to be the new SmackDown Women's Champion. Instead, Billie Kay came through the curtain dressed as Nikki, mocking her opponent in three days at Hell in a Cell. Billie stepped into the ring, taking a microphone and trying to put on an exaggerated valley girl accent when speaking like Nikki. "'Cause, like, you know. I'm so happy with John Cena! I mean, sure, he made me sign a contract when we moved in together. And half of my salary goes to him. And I'm not allowed to have any friends. And I can't leave the house without telling him. And I tried to drag my sister down with me in a scandal that I caused by attacking Paige, but you know who told me it was okay to do that? John Cena!" Billie was then interrupted by the real Nikki Bella, who told Billie that it's adorable how badly she wants to be her. "And I don't blame you, Billie. Every woman in the world would be Nikki Bella if they had the chance... but there's one very important piece to the outfit that you're missing," Nikki said before raising the SmackDown Women's Championship. "No matter how hard you try, you'll never be Nikki Bella." As Nikki was was leaving the ring, Billie stopped her. "You're right. I could never be Nikki Bella... because I have this," said Billie as she put her left hand up to show Nikki her wedding ring. Nikki's mouth opened in shock, Billie continuing to pour salt in the wound by giving the Women's Champion the 'You can't see me' gesture with her hand. Nikki then tried to attack Billie, but the present half of The Iconic Duo was ready for her. Billie Clotheslined Nikki over the top rope, grabbing the SmackDown Women's Title that the 'Fearless' one left behind. Is it Billie Kay's destiny to become SmackDown Women's Champion this Sunday at Hell in a Cell?
1) JOHNNY GARGANO (3-1) DEF. JEFF HARDY (1-3) via Gargano Escape. With the WWE Universe split in the middle for two of SmackDown Live's most beloved superstars, 'Johnny Wrestling' was able to get the better of 'The Charismatic Enigma' after countering the Twist of Fate into the Gargano Escape. Gargano moves up to 3-1 in the standings as he looks ahead to another bout with Andrade 'Cien' Almas on Sunday.
RODERICK STRONG EXPLAINS HIS ACTIONS: At this time, Roderick Strong headed down to the squared circle, 'The Messiah of the Backbreaker' addressing his behavior as of late that has seen him alienate everyone in the Cruiserweight division, even those who he considered friends like Cedric Alexander and Mustafa Ali. Strong said that going into the Cruiserweight Classic, he was just happy to be given an opportunity to live out his dream by competing for the WWE. As time went on and he became a full-fledged member of the SmackDown Live roster, he realized that it was going to take a lot more than just smiles and high-fives to get to the top. "While I've just been accepting a roster spot, guys like Andrade 'Cien' Almas, Johnny Gargano and John Morrison have stood tall as the Cruiserweight Champion. Cedric Alexander has been hailed and praised as the future of the division. Mustafa Ali, who just got here, is already more talked about than me! And then Adrian Neville decided to just waltz right into the division and got the spot at SmackDown 15 that should've belonged to me!" Strong challenged anyone in the Cruiserweight division to face who he proclaimed to be the "Real Roderick Strong".
2) RODERICK STRONG DEF. MUSTAFA ALI via End of Heartache. As Ali was heading to the top rope for a aerial-based maneuver, Strong shoved him off and Ali flew right into the barricade. Strong capitalized and finished off Ali in the ring, perhaps proving his case why he deserves to be the next challenger for John Morrison's Cruiserweight Championship.
ALLIE RESPONDS TO BECKY LYNCH: Flanked by The Assassins, Allie marched down to the ring here on SmackDown Live, set to address the challenge laid out last week by Becky Lynch for a Hell in a Cell Match this Sunday. Allie said that when Becky was set on fire back at Unforgiven, she hoped that would be the last time she had to deal with 'Straight Fire', but it doesn't come as a surprise to her that Becky fails to pick up the hint. "The last time you and I were in this ring, Becky, you literally went up in flames. Now, you're not only back, but you think that the solution to all of this is to challenge me to the most dangerous match that WWE has to offer. Did you not see what I went through at Unison?! If the wrath of Paige couldn't keep me down, what the hell makes you think you can?!" Allie didn't believe that Becky thought thoroughly about the challenge and is only diving in head-first because she thinks he has to. "You don't have that killer instinct, Becky. You're not as strong as you think you are. You haven't been through the Hell that I have. You don't know what it's like to be on the brink of death and pull yourself out of misery just to spite this cold world. If you really want your final breath to be let out in the confines of Hell in a Cell with me standing over you... fine. So be it. Watch what happens inside Hell in a Cell. Watch as I finish what I started at Unforgiven and burn every single tie you have to earth." Allie accepted Becky's challenge for Sunday, but The Assassins were then blindsided by Candice LeRae, SmackDown Live's newest superstar, who made her debut last week in the Women's Evolution Battle Royal. Candice tried getting revenge against Mandy Rose, Sonya Deville and Rosemary, but the numbers game was too much for her to overcome. Help arrived for Candice in the form of Becky, which prompted Allie and Rosemary to get out of dodge. Mandy and Sonya weren't so lucky since they stayed behind to fend off Becky, which only ended poorly for them.
3) BECKY LYNCH & CANDICE LERAE DEF. MANDY ROSE & SONYA DEVILLE via Disarmer to Mandy. Becky and Candice teamed up to take care of The Assassins, Becky refusing to release that Disarmer that she had on Mandy in the closing moments of the match. Becky heard everything Allie had to say about her lack of a "killer instinct" and has her mind set on proving Allie wrong by running through her this Sunday inside Hell in a Cell.
ELIAS REQUESTS A CHALLENGE: Backstage, Poppy was shown in her office, watching a television screen while nodding her head to the rhythm of Becky Lynch's theme song. Suddenly, she heard the strum of a guitar nearby. "Oooh, live music," said Poppy as Elias walked into the picture. Elias, who had been out for a few weeks with an injury, introduced himself to Poppy, stating that it's nice to have another musician on SmackDown Live. "Poppy, did you know that WWE stands for Walk With Elias?" he asked, to which Poppy responded with, "No, it stands for World Wrestling Entertainment." "... Maybe it did at one point, but now, I'm the one who everyone here looks up to." Elias told Poppy that he decided to make his return tonight because he's going to make this last part of 2014 memorable for him. He missed his chances at competing in Manifest Destiny, or even being on the Hell in a Cell card, but he wants to get back on track starting tonight. Poppy told Elias that if he'll give her some time, she can find an opponent for him.
4) INTERCONTINENTAL CHAMPION SAMOA JOE (2-2) DEF. SMACKDOWN TAG TEAM CHAMPION TJ PERKINS (3-1) via Muscle Buster. After the official was inadvertently struck by an elbow from Joe, TJP tried to take advantage of the opening with a thumb to the eye of the Intercontinental Champion. TJP planted Joe with a Tornado DDT before standing on the ring apron, soaking in the negative energy from the WWE Universe. With TJP's eyes closed, he failed to see Zelina Vega climbing the top rope for a Hurricanrana off the ring apron and onto the floor! The business associate of Andrade 'Cien' Almas, who TJP attacked this past Tuesday in Mexico City, just took out the leader of Catch Point! Zelina took off her shoes and threw one at Taynara Conti before chasing her up the ramp with the other. Joe rolled TJP back into the ring, executing the Muscle Buster to give TJP his first loss in Manifest Destiny! Finally, all 12 participants in the tournament have suffered losses, and this now means that TJP shares first place with Sami Zayn and Johnny Gargano.
5) SMACKDOWN TAG TEAM CHAMPION CM PUNK (3-1) DEF. CODY RHODES (2-2) via Go To Sleep. A rematch from WrestleMania 30 as Punk and Cody were both in contention to tie for first place with TJ Perkins, Sami Zayn and Johnny Gargano. At one point in the match, Punk took his SmackDown Tag Team Title and attempted to use it, which prompted Brandi Rhodes to try taking it out of Punk's hands. Punk shoved Brandi to the floor before rolling into the ring. Cody caught Punk with the Disaster Kick before taking the Tag Team Title, stalking Punk with it after 'The Best in the World' knocked down his wife. That lead to Zayn running down to the ring apron, trying to persuade his tag team partner to not get himself disqualified. All this did was distract Cody, allowing Punk to push him into Zayn before delivering the Go To Sleep. Punk joins what is now a four-way tie for first place in the SmackDown Live block, and Cody and Zayn's partnership in jeopardy. Especially as the two look ahead to a one-on-one encounter at Hell in a Cell on Sunday.
HELL IN A CELL CARD RUNDOWN: Six Manifest Destiny match-ups take place from St. Louis. Kurt Angle looks for his first tournament victory against CM Punk. Johnny Gargano and Andrade 'Cien' Almas reignite their rivalry. Intercontinental Champion Samoa Joe battles Matt Riddle. TJ Perkins tries to get back on track when he faces Rey Mysterio. Jeff Hardy has his opportunity at revenge against Dean Ambrose. And former SmackDown Tag Team Champions meet when Sami Zayn goes one-on-one with Cody Rhodes. Nikki Bella puts her newly-won SmackDown Women's Championship up for grabs against Billie Kay. Becky Lynch and Allie settle a personal score in the confines of Hell in a Cell. And on the subject of the daunting structure, the walls will surround WWE's two biggest stars today as they fight for the company's richest prize. Paige defends the WWE Championship against John Cena. Hell in a Cell is live this Sunday night on Pay-Per-View and the WWE Network.
6) WWE CHAMPION PAIGE VS. ELIAS NEVER OFFICIALLY STARTED: Elias attempted to hold a concert prior to the start of the match, vowing to prove to whoever his opponent is that WWE stands for Walk With Elias. 'The Drifter' was then interrupted by Paige, Elias not expecting the WWE Champion to be his opponent. Filled with unsurmountable aggression, Paige stormed into the ring with Elias and took him down with a Spear before throwing his chair at him. Elias rolled out of the ring, but Paige refused to let him get away as she launched herself onto him with a Suicide Dive. Elias staggered to his feet at ringside, turning around for a shot to the head from his own guitar by Paige! Elias was tended to by the ringside doctor while Paige joined the commentary team for the main event.
7) BILLIE KAY DEF. JOHN CENA VIA DISQUALIFICATION after Nikki Bella got involved. All throughout Cena and Billie's match, WWE Champion Paige was asked by the commentary team several times about the status of her contract and the validity of Cena's claim last week that she's going to walk away from WWE next April. Paige remained quiet, not answering any of their questions. In the ring, Billie was able to hold her own against Cena, nearly getting the win against 'The Franchise Player' after a Shade of Kay boot that he ran into during a Five Knuckle Shuffle attempt. After Billie caught Cena with Paige's own Antithesis knee strike, SmackDown Women's Champion Nikki Bella ran into the ring, leveling Billie with the gold. Paige immediately hurried into the ring trying to go after Nikki. Paige was caught with a Lariat from Cena, Nikki grabbing Paige and keeping her bound to the ropes. Cena grabbed Billie and pulled her out to ringside, sending her crashing through the announce table with the Attitude Adjustment! At that point, Paige was able to free herself with an elbow to Nikki's face that could've just about shattered her nose. Paige ran toward Cena, the two beginning a brawl that required a handful of officials to try restraining them. What will happen on Sunday when Paige and Cena are locked inside Hell in a Cell with the WWE Championship on the line?

October 24th 1) DREW MCINTYRE (4-0) DEF. HARDCORE CHAMPION BUDDY MURPHY (0-4) via Claymore. Not only was this Murphy's chance to pick up his first victory in Manifest Destiny, but he could have done so by ending McIntyre's undefeated streak in the tournament thus far. Unfortunately for 'The Juggernaut', McIntyre was able to take care of him just like he's done all of his other opponents in the tournament.
2) THE MIZ (2-2) DEF. KOTA IBUSHI (1-3) via Skull Crushing Finale. After making an emphatic statement on Manifest Destiny's opening night with a victory over Triple H, Ibushi's run in the tournament continues to falter with a loss to The Miz. As Ibushi exited the ring in defeat, Don Callis theorized that Ibushi only beat Hunter because he was still feeling the adrenaline from his Unison match against Kenny Omega and wanted to succeed to spite 'The Best Bout Machine'. The more removed we get from the Omega match-up, the more difficult it is for Ibushi to strike gold.
3) DANIEL BRYAN (4-0) DEF. DERRICK BATEMAN (2-2) via Yes Lock. A battle between former NXT Pro and Rookie, though both Bryan and Bateman have come a long, long way in the four years since they were paired up. Bryan countered Bateman's TKO into the Yes Lock, forcing the inaugural Universal Champion to submit. Because of Bryan's win, his match against McIntyre tomorrow night at Hell of War will be to decide the final remaining undefeated superstar in the RAW block. Bryan wasn't allowed any time to celebrate since he was blindsided by McIntyre, who connected with a vicious Claymore. 'The Scottish Psychopath' also gave one to Bateman just for good measure, standing tall in the ring to further assert his dominance as the favorite to win Manifest Destiny.

SHOW INTRO: After the signature WWE intro, a special video package aired that featured a cyberpunk city decorated in purple lights, resembling the official poster for the event. Civilians at ground level looked around while ”Freak Show” by Dead Posey sounded. They all looked up a building that projected a graphic with all 12 participants in RAW’s Manifest Destiny block. For the first time, every one of them will be in action on the same night as part of the tournament. Another building displayed highlights from the ongoing rivalry in the RAW Women’s Championship picture that will culminate tonight in a Gauntlet Match for Sasha Banks’ title. The clouds in the sky then opened up, shining a light onto the civilians. The entire screen cut away to clips from Let There Be Light and The Wyatt Tribe’s feud, which saw a turning point this past Monday when AJ Styles recaptured the Universal Championship from Pentagon. Tonight, the two factions will face off in a Cero Miedo Match. Lastly, the lights on all of the buildings shut as sirens could be heard. An ambulance then drove into the city, Emma in the driver’s seat. The camera zoomed into Emma’s right eye before transitioning to a montage of the most heated, personal moments in her rivalry with Alexa Bliss. The two women take center stage in the first-ever Hell of War Match tonight. “Throw in them chips tonight, under the neon lights. One for the money, two for the freak show.” Monday Night RAW kicks off the most barbaric weekend of the year in WWE. Welcome to Hell of War!
1) MANIFEST DESTINY MATCH: After the commentary team of Mauro Ranallo and Don Callis welcome the WWE Universe to Hell of War, Seth Rollins’ entrance music was the first of the evening to sound. “Burn it down!” screamed the masses in St. Louis as the United States Champion headed out to the stage for what he knew was going to be one of his toughest tasks in Manifest Destiny. “The rises of Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns almost mirror each other. Both came up through the developmental system that previously operated under the Florida Championship Wrestling banner. Rollins had the in-ring experience thanks to his time on the indies, most significantly Ring of Honor, but the business has been embroiled in Reigns’ blood his entire life. They were both called up to the main roster in 2012. Both made it to the final four in the 2013 Royal Rumble. They waged war at Battleground the next month in a contest that Rollins would come out on top of. They were high-ranking seeds in last year’s Manifest Destiny, but Reigns just barely missed his chance at meeting Rollins in the finals. Now, it comes full circle for both men having years of experience in WWE under their belts,” said Mauro Ranallo to briefly recap the history between Rollins and Reigns. Rollins was settled in the ring as Reigns’ theme song hit to a favorable reaction, but not as thunderous as the one that the United States Champion received. Reigns marched into the ring, set for a key Manifest Destiny match-up that has the potential to either make or break the run he’s trying to embark on.
The bell sounded as Rollins and Reigns locked up, the latter able to shove Rollins away. Rollins retaliated with a kick to the mid-section, trying to lift Reigns into a vertical base. Reigns was able to remain grounded, striking Rollins with an uppercut. Rollins backed into a corner, Reigns battering his face and neck with his arm several times before whipping him into the opposite corner. Reigns charged toward Rollins, who was able to get a foot up in time to fend off ‘The One Man Army’. Rollins stepped onto the top rope, turning himself in mid-air for a Crossbody that was good enough to get a two count. Rollins saw his opening to hit the Curb Stomp early on, but Reigns countered it into a Samoan Drop. Rollins crawled toward the ropes for a breather, Reigns trying to catch him by surprise with the Drive By Kick. Rollins, however, moved out of the way, causing Reigns to slide onto the ring apron into nothing. Rollins connected with a Superkick through the ropes, knocking Reigns to the floor. Rollins was able to garner some speed for a Suicide Dive, driving Reigns into the barricade with it. Rollins rolled Reigns back into the ring for another near-fall.
Rollins took a corner to begin stomping his foot onto the canvas, the WWE Universe joining in a “Burn it down” chant to show their support for the United States Champion. Rollins ran towards Reigns, who was able to once again fend off the stomp, this time with a Back Body Drop. Reigns uncharacteristically headed to the top rope, believing that defeating Rollins at his own game would be the most satisfying path to victory. Rollins, however, was able to run toward Reigns, jumping onto the top rope to bring him down with a Superplex! Rollins kept his grip on Reigns and showed off his unreal strength by lifting 'The One Man Army' into a Falcon Arrow! Rollins covered Reigns, but somehow still couldn't get the victory. Rollins tried capitalizing instantly by going for another Curb Stomp, but Reigns drilled him with the Superman Punch! Rollins staggered into the ropes, Reigns charging toward him for a Spear. Rollins managed to counter it into a small package roll-up, Reigns just narrowly kicking out. Once both men were back on their feet, Reigns acted first and finally caught Rollins with the Spear, covering the United States Champion for the benefit of his Manifest Destiny record. ROMAN REIGNS IS VICTORIOUS!
"He got him! What a win for Roman Reigns!" Mauro Ranallo exclaimed over the mixed response from the St. Louis audience. Roman Reigns got to his feet, allowing his arm to be raised triumphantly after besting Seth Rollins, getting some retribution for his loss to 'The Architect' in last year's Manifest Destiny. The United States Champion used a corner to assist him to a vertical base, Reigns slowly approaching him. The two superstars stared at one another for a bit, Reigns putting out his right hand for a fist bump. Rollins accepted the gesture while still looking ahead to Survivor Series. Just because he lost tonight doesn't mean his road to the finals is over. Reigns, however, is the one who will be leaving Hell of War with the momentum.
2) MANIFEST DESTINY MATCH: The first official main roster Pay-Per-View event for one Kota Ibushi, who replaced Aleister Black in the RAW block of Manifest Destiny after 'The Dutch Destroyer' was put on the shelf by AJ Styles. Ibushi started off the tournament strong with a win over Triple H, but has stumbled since then in bouts against Daniel Bryan, Derrick Bateman and The Miz. "If you ask me, Kenny Omega is still in his head and that's why Ibushi has struggled so much to garner any momentum after the match against Triple H," Don Callis said. Nonetheless, this was Ibushi's chance to redeem himself against the Hardcore Champion because for as difficult as his road has been, Buddy Murphy still has yet to pick up a single win in Manifest Destiny.
When the bell rang, Murphy tried to rush Ibushi, running into him with double knees that sent 'The Golden Star' into a corner. Murphy connected with a running European Uppercut to Ibushi before throwing him onto the canvas for a Snapmare, followed by a Dropkick. Murphy dominated in the opening moments, not allowing Ibushi any time to breathe. As Ibushi used the ropes to help himself up, Murphy attempted a V-Trigger, using Omega's moves against Ibushi. Ibushi moved out of harm's way, Murphy's knee bouncing off of the middle rope. Ibushi caught Murphy on the rebound with a German Suplex, keeping the bridge for a two count. Murphy rolled out of the ring, Ibushi chasing after him with the Triangle Moonsault out of a corner!
Ibushi tried to capitalize quickly to get the win, rolling Murphy into the ring before ascending to the top rope. Ibushi soared through the air with a Triangle Moonsault, throwing Murphy back into the ring afterward for what he intended to be a Phoenix Splash. Somehow, Murphy sprang to his feet and used his incredible strength to catch Ibushi in mid-air, bringing him down with a Sit-out Powerbomb! Murphy got the cover, but Ibushi managed to kick out just in time. Murphy sized up Ibushi for another V-Trigger, Ibushi catching in with a Superkick. Ibushi then latched onto Murphy's shoulders, spiking 'The Juggernaut' with a Poison Rana! After a heavy Roundhouse Kick upside Murphy's head, Ibushi lifted the Hardcore Champion up for the Golden Star Powerbomb, getting the win off of it. KOTA IBUSHI IS VICTORIOUS!
The WWE Universe reacted positively for Kota Ibush as he stirred to his feet following a fast-paced, high-octane bout against Buddy Murphy. This marks the first Manifest Destiny win for the former Golden Lover member since defeating Triple H a number of weeks ago, and with a record of 2-3, the chance of making the finals at Survivor Series looks bleak. However, Ibushi can still use these next few matches - if nothing else - to cement himself as a top star on Monday Night RAW in spite of Kenny Omega, who is finding his own singles success on NXT.
"CAN I GET A 'YES, YOUR MAJESTY'?": Backstage in the Scottrade Center, Alexa Bliss was shown lacing a pair of all-black Converse shoes, sporting a street-inspired look for her Hell of War Match tonight against Emma. However, that isn't the only action we'll see from the RAW women's division because coming up next, Sasha Banks puts the RAW Women's Title on the line in a Gauntlet Match. A video package set to "Queen" by Loren Gray began playing, starting with Dakota Kai's victory in the Queen of the Ring finals over Ruby Riott. "Cross my heart and hope to die. I don't need another guy to fight my battles, to overshadow me." With that win, Dakota was signed to Monday Night RAW and had the opportunity to face Sasha Banks at Unison for the RAW Women's Championship. "Don't you know I'm dangerous? Fire burnin' in my blood. I got this handled, I don't need recuin'." The match would be crashed by Charlotte Flair and Tessa Blanchard, two of the brand's latest acquisitions. The pair of Horsewomen daughters weren't interested in waiting for their break in the women's division, vowing to take it for themselves instead. Dakota was left alone in the war against Charlotte, Tessa, Sasha and Bayley until two weeks ago when Asuka, another Queen of the Ring, came to the aid of 'The Captain' to even the odds. "You can call me a princess all you like 'cause you love to keep me helpless by your side. But that ain't what I want, I'ma show you." That set the stage for the RAW Women's Title to be put up for grabs for the first time ever in a Gauntlet Match. Can 'The Boss' hold onto the gold, or will this bout give way for a new 'queen' to take over RAW? "How to treat me like a queen. Boy, you better bow down on your knees. Can I get a 'Yes, your majesty'?"
3) RAW WOMEN'S CHAMPIONSHIP GAUNTLET MATCH: After the rules of the Gauntlet Match were noted by JoJo, the theme song of Dakota Kai sounded to a great response from the WWE Universe members in the Scottrade Center. ‘The Captain’ walked out onto the stage for what is her first official main roster Pay-Per-View event, not counting Unison. Dakota is perhaps the fans’ choice to leave Hell of War as the RAW Women’s Champion, but seeing as how she’s entering the Gauntlet Match first, that leaves her chances at a win rather distant. Dakota stood in the ring as Tessa Blanchard was the second superstar out, ‘The Diamond’ being one of the two superstars who debuted at Unison and attacked Dakota, costing her the gold against Sasha Banks. This was the perfect opportunity for Dakota to extract her revenge, but even if she were to make it past Tessa, someone else would be waiting for their chance to strike her. The match began with the two women locking up, Tessa trying to go behind Dakota for a roll-up. Dakota was able to stomp on Tessa’s hand before swinging her left foot back to kick her in the face. Dakota ran the ropes, her momentum being stopped with a forearm from Tessa. The stunned Dakota was then turned around and hit with a Backstabber, Tessa getting the cover for a two count. Tessa picked Dakota up and positioned her against a corner, delivering several Knife Edge Chops before trying to whip her opponent into the opposite corner. Dakota was able to counter this by keeping a grip on Tessa’s wrist, throwing her chest-first into a top turnbuckle. Tessa rebounded into a German Suplex from Dakota, the impact causing Tessa to roll back onto her knees. Dakota charged into Tessa with a Penalty Kick to her head and neck, covering Tessa to move past the first phase of the match. Tessa Blanchard has been eliminated!
Dakota Kai was able to get through Tessa Blanchard, but her time to rest was non-existent as Bayley was the next superstar to come charging down the entrance ramp. Bayley slid into the ring at full speed and instantly took Dakota down, firing away with right hand strikes to her forehead. Bayley picked Dakota up and shoved her into a corner, running toward her to deliver an elbow strike. Bayley threw Dakota onto the ground and went up high to the top rope, waiting for ‘The Captain’ to stagger back to her feet. Bayley soared through the air for a Clothesline, but Dakota caught her with a Yakuza Kick to the chin! Bayley crashed onto the canvas, Dakota rolling her over to get the near-fall. Dakota had to catch her breath before trying to pick Bayley up, connecting with several hard slaps to her face and chest. Dakota whipped Bayley into the ropes, missing a Clothesline that Bayley made her pay for in the form of a Neckbreaker. Bayley tightened her ponytail before going in for the Bayley-to-Belly Suplex, but Dakota freed herself with a series of headbutts. Dakota planted Bayley with a Saito Suplex before running toward her for the Kairopractor, getting the cover on Bayley to win her second match in the Gauntlet. Bayley has been eliminated!
“And just like that, Dakota Kai has eliminated a third of the Gauntlet Match field all on her own!” Mauro Ranallo said as Dakota used the ropes to help herself up. ‘The Captain’ was already feeling the effects of having to compete in two matches, and it wasn’t going to get easier with a certain ‘Empress’ now standing in her way. Asuka walked down to the ring, having to face her ally after coming to Dakota’s aid two weeks ago on RAW. Asuka had the chance to face Dakota in the finals of the Queen of the Ring tournament, but suffered a semi-final loss at the hands of Ruby Riott. The match-up would finally take place here tonight, though certainly Dakota and Asuka would have preferred different circumstances. Nonetheless, Asuka had to try capitalizing on her friend’s fatigue if it meant coming one step closer to the RAW Women’s Championship. When the bell rang, Dakota tried charging in with a Yakuza Kick, but Asuka stopped her with a backhand strike. Dakota had to cover her face and protect herself as Asuka unleashed a flurry of offense, backing Dakota into a corner before running into her with a Dropkick. Asuka rolled Dakota onto the canvas, hitting a Leg Drop that barely got her a one count. Asuka picked Dakota back up and kicked her toward the ropes, trying to charge into her. Dakota was able to move out of the way, Asuka landing on the second rope in a seated position. Dakota struck Asuka with a huge boot to the stage, dazing 'The Empress' for a second. Dakota positioned Asuka on the top rope, attempting a Superplex that Asuka managed to fight out of. When Dakota was pushed onto the canvas, Asuka leaped into her with a Leg Lariat that she successfully transitioned into a Cross Armbreaker. Dakota had to fight valiantly to reach the ropes, soon doing. Asuka released the hold and brought Dakota back to a vertical base, trying for the Asuka Lock. Dakota, however, was able to kick her feet off of the top rope, shifting Asuka's submission into a pinning predicament that gave her the victory! Asuka has been eliminated!
Call it divine intervention. Call it luck. Call it skill. Whatever vernacular is in your belief system, Dakota Kai has just defeated Asuka and is now more than halfway through the field in the Gauntlet Match! 'The Empress of Tomorrow' rolled out of the ring, taking a hard fall onto the back of her head during the finishing sequence of her battle with 'The Captain' just now. Dakota slowly rose to her feet, taking extra deep breaths out of both exhaustion and anxiety. The Queen of the Ring winner is nearly at the finish line, but now standing in her way is a woman who believes that she was born into the title of 'Queen.' The entrance music of Charlotte Flair sounded, the other half of the tandem with Tessa Blanchard strutting out to the stage with more confidence than ever before. In Charlotte's mind, she had a clear path to an encounter against Sasha Banks for the RAW Women's Title considering everything that Dakota has been through over the last thirteen minutes. Charlotte slid into the ring after removing her robe, charging into Dakota for a Big Boot as the bell sounded. Dakota was able to dodge the attack, causing Charlotte to get caught up in the ropes. Dakota then rolled Charlotte up, forcing all of her weight onto the legs and lower body of the second generation to get a shocking three count! Charlotte Flair has been eliminated!
"What?! Are you kidding me?! Charlotte is out, just like that?!" Don Callis yelled into his headset over the raucous audience in St. Louis. Nobody was more stunned than Charlotte Flair, who looked at the official with her eyes and mouth widening by the second. She attempted to argue the result, but there was nothing she could do that would benefit her championship aspirations. Dakota Kai just beat her in five seconds! The woman who entered the Gauntlet Match first is now in the final phase! Dakota is just one win away from becoming the RAW Women's Champion! However, any time Dakota would have been granted to prepare for Sasha Banks' arrival was thwarted when Charlotte clipped her behind her right knee. Charlotte could not let go of the humiliation for anything and was taking out every bit of frustration on Dakota. Even with the official trying to get involved, Charlotte pummeled Dakota before bringing her toward the ring post, which she used as a tool to apply the Figure Four Leg Lock. Charlotte was unrelenting, but was soon pried off of the ring post and Dakota's knee by a handful of officials who needed to restore order and get her away from the premises. Charlotte stormed up the entrance ramp, leaving a wounded Dakota behind in the ring.
At that point, Sasha Banks' entrance music began to play, and Dakota Kai went to the ropes to assist herself up. She made it too far to just quit now because of Charlotte Flair's envy. It didn't matter to Dakota if she needed to hobble on one leg for the remainder of the Gauntlet Match. She came to Hell of War to become the RAW Women's Champion, and that's the vision she was willing to put her long-term health in jeopardy for. Sasha removed the title from her waist and ran into the ring, instantly going after Dakota's injured knee. 'The Boss' had no shame in taking the easy way out, forcing Dakota onto both feet in an action that required the challenger to put weight on her right knee. Sasha delivered the Backstabber and transitioned into the Bank Statement, hoping that Dakota's weakened state would not allow her to make a trip to the ropes. Dakota used every bit of strength she could gather in her upper body to force herself and Sasha to move toward the bottom rope. The closer the two got to the rope break, the more paranoid Sasha became. The defending champion then decided to release the Bank Statement and bring Dakota back into the center of the ring. Dakota, however, was able to kick Sasha in the side of the face with her left foot, bringing the dazed 'Boss' in closer for a small package roll-up. Sasha kicked out, but while she was trying to stand back up, Dakota launched herself into the champion for the Kairopractor! "She got it! Dakota hit all of it!" Mauro Ranallo exclaimed before Don Callis pointed that because the Kairopractor caused Sasha's back to crash onto Dakota's knees, it affected the challenger just as much as it did the champion! Dakota held her left knee in agonizing pain, the WWE Universe trying to act as her support system and cheer her on to victory. Dakota crawled toward Sasha and covered her, but just before the official could count to three, Sasha rolled her into a pinning predicament. Dakota managed to kick out, though Sasha acted quickly and got a hold of her legs. Sasha applied the Lasso from El Paso, a submission maneuver previously utilized by her biggest inspiration in wrestling, Eddie Guerrero. Sasha reeled back on Dakota's knees, the challenger now feeling even more excruciating pain than before. This time, there was no hope whatsoever for Dakota to be able to make it to the ropes. For the sake of living to fight another day, Dakota had to tap out. SASHA BANKS IS STILL THE RAW WOMEN'S CHAMPION!
When the closing bell sounded, Sasha Banks released the Lasso from El Paso and hurried out of the ring, taking the RAW Women’s Championship from the time keeper’s areas while the fans in St. Louis were too distraught over Dakota Kai’s loss to even show their disdain for ‘The Boss.’ Sasha walked up the entrance ramp while raising the gold over her head, escaping a Gauntlet Match that she lucked out in by receiving the final entry spot. Back in the ring, Dakota was offered assistance by the official, but ‘The Captain’ resented any help because in her mind, she didn’t deserve so much as one extension of a hand for what happened to her tonight. Dakota came into the Gauntlet first and made it all the way to the end, literally wiping out almost the entire RAW women’s division before Charlotte Flair’s bitterness over the manner of her elimination threw Dakota’s dream off the track. Dakota will continue the fight for the RAW Women’s Championship, but she won’t forget about the night that Sasha and Charlotte did everything in their power to detail her, and succeeded for that matter.
DALLAS WILL BE TAKEN OVER: Four weeks from tonight, the superstars of NXT embark on another TakeOver, this time emanating from Dallas, Texas the night before Survivor Series. Ember Moon will defend the NXT Women's Championship against Liv Morgan. In a bit of breaking news, Ricochet and Uhaa Nation put the NXT Tag Team Championships up for grabs against The Authors of Pain. And in the main event, the Elimination Chamber makes its way to NXT for the very first time. Bobby Roode's NXT Championship reign is in jeopardy as he defends against Velveteen Dream, Fenix, Tommaso Ciampa, Darby Allin and Kenny Omega. Who will walk out of Dallas with the NXT Title?
4) MANIFEST DESTINY MATCH: For Adam Cole, this upcoming contest was everything to him. The first man to qualify for the Manifest Destiny tournament was still winless after spending the last 10 months mouthing off to the WWE Universe with his early declaration of victory in the tournament. Cole’s chance to right what he believes are the wrongs of the world comes against a former Universal Champion, and someone who Cole has a history with. After Cole was settled in the ring, Kevin Owens’ theme song hit to a mixed reaction from the St. Louis crowd. “Only four superstars up to this point have been able to raise the Universal Championship and call it theirs: AJ Styles, Pentagon, Derrick Bateman and Kevin Owens. Owens defied all of the odds at Bad Blood when he captured the title inside the Elimination Chamber, but his reign was cut immensely short by Styles and Bateman. Owens has never taken his eyes off of the goal of regaining the Universal Title, and while he’s not at the top of the standings as of now, he still embodies the champion’s mindset and is prepared to fight anyone and everyone for the sake of taking back what he believes is rightfully his,” said Mauro Ranallo.
At the sound of the opening bell, the former NXT rivals stepped up to each other in the center of the ring and went right in for the series of strike exchanges. "I'm not even sure if the ring is big enough to hold these two egos because both Kevin Owens and Adam Cole believe that they belong on wrestling's Mt. Rushmore," Don Callis said as Owens took Cole and threw him into a corner. Catching Cole with a few forearm shots to knock him down, Owens charged into the leader of The Undisputed ERA with a Cannonball. Cole was able to evade it, Owens throwing himself into the tumbuckles. While Owens was perched upside down, Cole connected with a Superkick before bringing him into the center of the ring for a near-fall.
Cole became even more irritated with each ounce of resiliency that Owens managed to gather into his performance, waiting for 'The Prizefighter' to get back to his feet. Cole's plan was to cut Owens off with Superkicks to his shins, but Owens was able to catch Cole's foot. Owens spun Cole around before kicking him in the mid-section, following up with a Stunner! Cole flopped out of the ring, Owens unable to capitalize on the maneuver and go for the cover. Owens picked Cole up to throw him back into the ring, but changed his intentions once he realized the state Cole was in, and the fact that the ring apron was right in front of them. Owens hoisted Cole onto his shoulders and tried for a Powerbomb onto the apron, but Cole was able to fight out of it. Cole stood on the apron and kicked Owens away before jumping toward him for a Panama Sunrise onto the floor! Cole quickly got a hold of Owens and rolled him into the ring, getting the cover that Owens was able to kick out of just barely. Cole rose to his feet and backed against a corner, pulling down his kneepad to signal the call for the Last Shot. Owens was able to evade the knee strike to the back of his head, throwing Cole into the air for the Pop Up Powerbomb. Owens then ascended to the top rope, jumping onto Cole with a Frog Splash to secure the victory. KEVIN OWENS IS VICTORIOUS!
Kevin Owens may not have started off Manifest Destiny on the note he would've liked, but the former Universal Champion continues to rack up impressive victory after another and has now moved into the upper-echelon of the current standings with a record of 3-2. "Six more matches left in the tournament for Kevin Owens, and at the rate that the rest of the field is going, he's going to need more than just skill on his side. This could very well come down to luck if Owens is going to reach the finals at Survivor Series," said Mauro Ranallo. While Owens leaves Hell of War with a victory, Cole hits 0-5 and is dangerously close to being mathematically eliminated sooner than later.
HELL IN A CELL PREVIEW: While the superstars of Monday Night RAW engage in their own form of Hell tonight, the SmackDown Live roster takes center stage tomorrow night for the brand's most barbaric event to date. Manifest Destiny continues with no undefeated superstars remaining, creating a wide open, chaotic field. Nikki Bella defends the SmackDown Women's Championship against Billie Kay. Becky Lynch looks for her revenge against Allie inside Hell in a Cell. And in the main event, the current face of the WWE meets the company's franchise for the last decade in a heated, personal battle. Paige puts the WWE Championship on the line against John Cena in a Hell in a Cell Match.
5) MANIFEST DESTINY MATCH: "On any other night, this would be the main event. Fate has brought the final two undefeated competitors in RAW's Manifest Destiny block together here at Hell of War, and after TJ Perkins faced defeat for the first time last Thursday on SmackDown Live, the winner of this match will be Manifest Destiny's last undefeated participant," Mauro Ranallo said, setting the stage for the much-anticipated encounter between two superstars with immensely different career trajectories. Drew McIntyre's entrance music sounded as 'The Scottish Psychopath' walked out to the stage, his hair draping over his eyes that the WWE Universe knew were cold and filled with deceit. "When Drew McIntyre came to WWE five years ago, he was christened by Mr. McMahon as 'The Chosen One.' He was hailed as a future World Champion. Instead, McIntyre struggled to live up to the hype and floundered before reigniting his passion with a stint in NXT. On the other hand, Daniel Bryan was christened by the WWE Universe as their 'Chosen One' and a future World Champion. Bryan won Money in the Bank to win his first World Heavyweight Championship, and the 2013 Royal Rumble Match to win his second one at WrestleMania 29 in MetLife Stadium. Bryan's had the Hall of Fame career that McIntyre believes was meant for him, so this contest is far more personal for McIntyre than anyone believes. This is his chance to put Bryan down and tell the world that it should've been him all this time." stated Don Callis.
After Bryan's entrance that was accompanied by the "Yes!" chants, McIntyre became aggravated by the crowd reaction and tried to rush Bryan while he was still standing on the top rope. Bryan leaped over McIntyre and into the ring, running toward him with the Busaiku Knee! Bryan got the cover on McIntyre after immediately hitting his finisher just seconds into the match, but McIntyre was able to kick out at one! Bryan rose to his feet and backed into a corner, waiting for McIntyre to stand back up so he could charge in for another Busaiku Knee. This time, McIntyre clobbered Bryan with a Clothesline before picking him up by his neck, throwing him over the top rope and onto the floor. McIntyre went after Bryan, who tried retaliating with kicks to McIntyre's right thigh. McIntyre struck Bryan with a knee to his mid-section, hoisting him onto his shoulder. Bryan slid out of McIntyre's grip and pushed him face-first into the ring post, following up with a Tiger Suplex onto the floor! Bryan rolled McIntyre back into the ring before ascending to the top rope for a Diving Headbutt. Bryan connected with the aerial attack, covering McIntyre afterward for the near-fall.
Bryan tried to not let McIntyre back onto his feet, knowing that he'd stand a better chance with 'The Scottish Psychopath' prone as often as he could be. Bryan delivered a series of kicks to the chest of McIntyre, but couldn't finish off the sequence as McIntyre caught his leg. McIntyre drove his head against Bryan's with the Glasgow Kiss, sizing up Bryan for the Claymore Kick thereafter. McIntyre charged full speed at Bryan, but to his surprise, his foot was caught, allowing Bryan to apply a Kneebar! Bryan had the hold cinched in with all of his force, doing everything he could to either force McIntyre to submit, or just straight up snap his leg. McIntyre was able to use his strength to his advantage, clawing his way to the bottom rope for the count that Bryan had until five to comply with. After letting go of McIntyre, Bryan pulled his adversary back into the center of the ring, continuing to focus on his right knee. Bryan was kicked away into a corner by McIntyre, who then ran toward the evasive Bryan. When McIntyre turned around, Bryan ran shoulder-first into his right knee, McIntyre being taken back down. The second time Bryan went for the shoulder thrust, McIntyre drilled him in the face with his left knee. McIntyre took the dazed Bryan and hit the Future Shock DDT, digger deeper into his arsenal in order to finally put Bryan away. DREW MCINTYRE IS VICTORIOUS!
After a hellacious war that Drew McIntyre was not anticipating to come his way from Daniel Bryan, 'The Scottish Psychopath' was able to rise to a limping, vertical base and have his arm raised triumphantly. As a result of this win, McIntyre moves to 5-0 in the Manifest Destiny standings, the only undefeated superstar remaining. Not only is he the first seed in the RAW block, but the entire field when including the SmackDown Live block. "Drew McIntyre controls his own destiny at this point. Five superstars have stood up to McIntyre, and five superstars have fallen at his feet. 'The Scottish Psychopath' has six more matches to go, but at this rate, he'll have a spot in the Fatal Four Way Match at Survivor Series clinched before we know it," said Don Callis. McIntyre's road is not yet over, but at this stage in the tournament, he has to be viewed as the odds-on favorite to win Manifest Destiny and punch his ticket for a Universal Championship match at the Royal Rumble.
WRESTLEMANIA DRAWS NEAR: At this time, the first official promo for WrestleMania 31 aired to promote the on-sale date of November 7th for tickets. At Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California, the biggest event in WWE history will bring with it new memories to be etched into the history books forever. Similar to That's the Spirit this year, every song from amo by Bring Me the Horizon will serve as the official themes. "ouch" played throughout the video, highlighting some of the WWE's most notable superstars over the past six months. "And I know I said I was under your spell, but this hex is on another level. And I know I said you can drag me through hell..." The final line was accompanied by a shot of Paige raising the WWE Championship before cutting to a posing shot of The Iconic Duo. "... But I hoped you wouldn't f*** the devil."
"WE'RE TAKING THE CRACKED CROWNS, BREAK THEM DOWN": While the lights of Levi's Stadium will be shining bright on the superstars at WrestleMania 31, one faction believes that they have shown the WWE Universe the true light. "AJ Styles asked God to 'Let There Be Light' and now, himself, The Young Bucks and Lacey Evans meet the darkness that is The Wyatt Tribe," said Mauro Ranallo to segue into the video package for the upcoming match. After capturing the Universal Championship at SummerSlam, Styles gave all of the credit for his success to God and vowed to dedicate his career to spreading the word of the gospel throughout the entire WWE. The Faim's "Saints of the Sinners" acted as the soundtrack to the video that showed clips of Styles defeating both Aleister Black and Alexa Bliss in separate matches at Payback. The following night, Styles' luck seemingly ran out when he lost the Universal Title to Pentagon. "We the sun down and start the countdown to our final dawn. We play it dirty, forever thirsty to take the trophy home." Styles received his rematch at Unison two weeks later in a match where his championship aspiration went up in smoke by a vengeful Aleister Black. Styles would dispose of Black the following day, rendering him unable to compete in Manifest Destiny. That night on RAW, Styles pleaded with God to 'Let There Be Light,' and that was when The Young Bucks emerged to take the fight to the The Wyatt Tribe. Matt and Nick Jackson joined Styles' crusade in the name of Christianity, and soon enough, they were joined by one of RAW's newest acquisitions to the women's division, Lacey Evans. "When jokers smile and angels cry, we lose ourselves and lose our minds." The faction war reached a new boiling point this past Monday when Styles was able to defeat Pentagon to reclaim the Universal Title, gaining the momentum for Let There Be Light when they step into Pentagon's world in a Cero Miedo Match. "We're taking the cracked crowns, break them down. Hang 'em on the bedroom wall. We're dancing with bloodhounds through the town, banging on padlocked doors. And we're singing like oh woah woah. We're saints of the sinners. Saints of the sinners, and we're coming for you. Oh woah woah. We're saints of the sinners. Saints of the sinners."
6) CERO MIEDO MATCH: At the sound of AJ Styles' entrance music, the WWE Universe reacted with unrelenting boos as 'The Man of God' walked out onto the stage, flanked by The Young Bucks and Lacey Evans. Styles looked at his stablemates, the four of them not showing any signs of arrogance like they had been over the last few weeks. They're aware of the danger that they're walking into, but they're not afraid of The Wyatt Tribe because in their minds, they have God on their side and that's all they need to win here tonight at Hell of War. Let There Be Light headed into the ring, Styles raising the Universal Championship while looking up at the sky, thanking God once again before setting the title down onto the canvas in a corner. The four holy superstars kept their eyes locked on the stage, waiting for the arrival of the group they perceive to be spawns of Hell. Pentagon's music began playing, the fans in St. Louis going wild for the man with 'Cero Miedo' and the rest of The Wyatt Tribe. Pentagon, Bray Wyatt, Randy Orton and Maxine all walked onto the stage with kendo sticks, Pentagon pointing his at Styles.
"Here we go!" Mauro Ranallo exclaimed as The Wyatt Tribe ran into the ring. All members of Let There Be Light tried delivering strikes early on, but The Wyatt Tribe evaded them. Pentagon caught Styles in the ribs with his kendo stick while Wyatt, Orton and Maxine did the same to Nick, Matt and Lacey respectively. Maxine pulverized Lacey with more kendo stick shots before throwing her outside, further working over 'The Lady' by bouncing her face off of the steel steps. Pentagon was able to batter Styles to the point where he tried retreating, the two of them battling in the audience now. Back in the ring, The Young Bucks were able to swat away Orton's and Wyatt's kendo sticks with Superkicks, throwing a barrage of kicks their way. Nick and Matt connected with double Superkicks to Wyatt before being hit with a Clothesline from Orton. 'The Viper' checked on Wyatt briefly before looking underneath the ring, bringing out a table. Orton tried putting the table in the squared circle, but Nick was able to take him out with a Baseball Slide into said table. Nick then held the top rope down, allowing Matt to leap over with a Tope Con Hilo onto Orton and Wyatt! Maxine rolled Lacey back into the ring, going for the first cover of the match. Lacey managed to kick out, Maxine taking one of the kendo sticks so she could attempt to choke out 'The Lady.' Matt and Nick hurried back into the ring, the two brothers taking some of the other kendo sticks that they proceeded to beat Maxine with. Maxine took a handful of kendo stick shots, refusing to fall to the canvas after each of them. She rose to her feet and gave The Young Bucks both of her middle fingers, a gesture that Matt and Nick responded to with double Superkicks.
Both Young Bucks headed to ringside, Nick setting up the table while Matt placed Orton on its surface. Matt held 'The Viper' in place as Nick climbed up to the top turnbuckle, having a Swanton Bomb on his mind. However, Pentagon emerged from the audience and shoved Nick off the turnbuckle, crashing onto Matt. Pentagon looked underneath the ring and found a steel chair, battering The Young Bucks with it before setting Matt onto the surface of the table. Pentagon and Orton worked together to keep Matt tied down to the table, Wyatt stepping onto the ring apron for a running Senton onto him! The three Wyatt Tribe members stood tall momentarily as Pentagon lead the WWE Universe members in a "Cero Miedo!" chant that was soon interrupted when Styles managed to head back into the ring without being noticed, leaping onto The Wyatt Tribe with a springboard Shooting Star Press! The Universal Champion rose to his feet and put his gloves together for his signature pose, trying to show off to the WWE Universe members in St. Louis that he knew weren't happy to see him re-emerge. At that moment, though, Styles turned around and saw Maxine launching herself onto his shoulders, delivering a Hurricanrana! Maxine continued to go after Styles with kicks to his ribs before Lacey ran toward Maxine, grabbing her face so that she could have her in the perfect position for the Women's Right. With Maxine out, Lacey tried dictating The Young Bucks, both of whom began stirring to their feet. Nick headed back into the ring while Matt put Maxine into a Tombstone position, the brothers delivering the Meltzer Driver to Maxine onto the floor!
That looked like it could've been the beginning of the end for The Wyatt Tribe as Maxine had to be assisted to the back by two officials, no longer deemed capable of competing. Pentagon, Wyatt and Orton were now at a disadvantage, and things only looked to be getting bleaker for The Wyatt Tribe as The Young Bucks took Pentagon back into the ring while Styles looked around for another object. Or rather, objects as the Universal Champion pulled skewers out. Matt and Nick held Pentagon with his arms spread out, nowhere for him to go as Styles was set to drive the skewers into his forehead. However, Lacey, who berated Pentagon from the side, was then struck with an RKO out of nowhere! Orton got back to his feet and went after The Young Bucks, Wyatt helping him out by pulling Nick out of the ring. Orton and Wyatt brawled with Nick and Matt all the way into the stands, soon exiting the sight of the WWE Universe members in the Scottrade Center. Styles watched the chaos unfold before glancing down at the fallen Lacey, realizing that as long as 'The Lady' was incapacitated and The Young Bucks had their hands full with Orton and Wyatt, he was all alone. Styles turned around to go back after Pentagon, who took the skewers and poked at Styles' head with the pointed tips. Pentagon swatted down onto the skewers with as much authority as he could, sticking them into Styles' head! "AJ Styles with a crown of skewers lodged into his cranium!" Mauro Ranallo exclaimed while the crowd roared in both excitement and horror at the sight of the Universal Champion with skewers sticking out of him. Pentagon then kicked Styles in the mid-section, planting him with a Package Piledriver onto the skewers still lodged in his head! Pentagon could've gone for the cover at that point and win the Cero Miedo Match, but he former Universal Champion believed that Styles still had not endured enough punishment. Pentagon grabbed Styles' right arm, holding it up with the intention of reeling back to snap it. Pentagon could hear Styles faintly pleading with him to stop, but once the Universal Champion felt hope slipping away, he began screaming out to God to save him. Pentagon shouted back at Styles, telling him that God isn't going to come to his rescue. And at that moment, everything changed. A man ran into the ring through the audience, a hooded-scarf of sort covering his head. The mysterious figure took a steel chair and leveled Pentagon in the back with it before doing so over and over again until Pentagon was just a broken carcass. Styles crawled toward the ropes and pulled the skewers out of his head, the mystery man removing his hood to reveal himself as Tye Dillinger. "What the hell is Tye Dillinger doing here?!" Ranallo asked while Don Callis added that 'The Perfect Ten' wasn't supposed to have been cleared yet from his injury. The former NXT Champion, who sported a new look with a mohawk and sleeve tattoo, stared at Styles while continuing to stand over Pentagon with a chair in his hands. The confused Styles crawled toward Pentagon, covering him to steal the victory in the Cero Miedo Match. LET THERE BE LIGHT IS VICTORIOUS!
None of the audience members in the Scottrade Center could even bring themselves to reject the outcome of the Cero Miedo Match. Instead, they were all too shocked to react after Tye Dillinger, who was forced to vacate the NXT Championship a few months ago due to injury, has re-emerged and targeted The Wyatt Tribe for some reason. Styles was handed back the Universal Championship while glaring at Dillinger, unsure what 'The Perfect Ten' was planning on doing. While still standing over Pentagon, Dillinger extended out his arms for the 'Ten' pose toward Styles before bringing his hands together for a prayer, dropping to his knees thereafter. Styles' demeanor suddenly changed from confusion to elation, realizing that Dillinger was giving his life to God in that moment. Styles hugged Dillinger, who returned the embrace. The Universal Champion looked up at the sky, telling God that he knew he wouldn't let him down. "Did... did Tye Dillinger just join Let There Be Light?" Mauro Ranallo asked, Don Callis stating that it was obvious what was happening. Dillinger helped the fatigued Styles out of the ring, leaving it up to Lacey Evans and The Young Bucks to find their back to safety on their own. Nonetheless, Styles pulled yet another fast one on the entire WWE by catching a stroke of luck to find Let There Be Light's 'Perfect Ten' here at Hell of War.
7) MANIFEST DESTINY MATCH: While the WWE Universe cooled down from the Cero Miedo Match that saw Tye Dillinger make his main roster debut to join Let There Be Light, Manifest Destiny was set to continue with the first of the final two tournament matches this evening. Finn Balor headed out to the stage to a great response from the audience in St. Louis, Mauro Ranallo noting on commentary how Balor benefits from the outcome of Drew McIntyre and Daniel Bryan’s match-up earlier tonight. If Balor can be victorious tonight, he’ll tie Bryan for second place and control his own destiny heading into Survivor Series. Balor has been poised from the start as being one of the favorite’s in the RAW block to qualify for the Finals, but a certain ‘A-Lister’ wants to do his part here at Hell of War to prevent that. The Miz’s entrance music sounded to a reaction that was the opposite of Balor’s, Miz desperate for a win tonight after what has been a disappointing run in the tournament so far.
At the sound of the opening bell, Miz made the immediate mistake of charging toward Balor. Balor was able to sidestep Miz and leave him to rebound off of the ropes, Balor taking him down with a running forearm smash. Balor knocked Miz off of his feet a few more times before trying for a Slingblade, Miz trying to counter it into the Skull Crushing Finale. Balor countered the maneuver into a pinning predicament, Miz managing to kick out before three. The two superstars got back to their feet at the same time, striking each other simultaneously. They traded shots back-and-forth until Miz caught Balor with a knee to his mid-section before taking a step back for a kick to the side of his head. Miz taunted the St. Louis audience to a chorus of boos before trying to run into Balor with his patented corner Clothesline. Balor evaded Miz, connecting afterward with a Pele Kick to the back of his head. Miz fell back onto the canvas, Balor ascending to the top rope for Coup de Grace. Miz, however, jumped to his feet and threw himself into the ropes to cause Balor to lose his balance. Miz grabbed Balor by his head and planted him with a Tower of London, covering him for what was just a two count.
Balor crawled toward the center of the ring, Miz looking to pile on further punishment to combat Balor’s resiliency. ‘The A-Lister’ proceeded to mock Daniel Bryan, who suffered his first Manifest Destiny loss earlier in the show, by targeting Balor’s chest with Yes Kicks. Miz was unable to complete the sequence as Balor grabbed his leg and took him down with a Dragon Screw. Balor dropped both of his feet onto Miz’s chest before pulling him closer to a corner, believing now was the right opportunity to attempt Coup de Grace again. This time, Miz was able to roll out of harm’s way, charging into Balor with a heavy kick that swept his left leg. Miz quickly grabbed Balor and delivered the Skull Crushing Finale, turning him over for the triumphant cover with the hook of the leg. THE MIZ IS VICTORIOUS!
While The Miz defeating Finn Balor couldn’t be considered an upset given Miz’s accolades, the WWE Universe certainly treated it as one. Most fans in the Scottrade Center couldn’t believe that Miz was victorious, ‘The A-Lister’ celebrating a win that can easily be the turning point for his Manifest Destiny run.
THE 28TH ANNUAL SURVIVOR SERIES: A promo was shown for the next Pay-Per-View outing from WWE's main roster, that being the Thanksgiving week tradition known to the world as Survivor Series. In front of over 50,000 WWE Universe members at the Globe Life Park in Arlington, Texas, Manifest Destiny will conclude. Survivor Series is live on Sunday November 23rd, airing on both Pay-Per-View and the WWE Network.
8) MANIFEST DESTINY MATCH: After a long, enduring night of Manifest Destiny matches, we were down to just one left, and it’s a match that has been a year-and-a-half in the making. “Casual Affair” echoed throughout the Scottrade Center to a mixed reaction, which was incredibly uncharacteristic for Derrick Bateman. ‘The God of the New Era’ walked through the curtain, knowing that tonight is a do-or-die scenario. Not just by virtue of him being a lower-ranked RAW block competitor, but also because he was facing the man who many perceive him to be the spiritual successor to. “Cold. Heartless. Manipulative. Game-changing. A myriad of words can be used to describe both Derrick Bateman and Triple H. The two of them are cut from the same cloth of ruthlessness. They took matters into their owns hands and forced this company to give in to them so that they could receive their black hearts’ desires. After Bateman won Money in the Bank at WrestleMania 29, Triple H welcomed him into The Committee and christened him as the future of WWE. When Bateman had an injury scare in the summer of 2013, Triple H became paranoid about potentially being wrong when it came to Bateman, and thus outcasted him from the group in favor of AJ Styles, the current Universal Champion who Bateman has been at odds with ever since. Despite how all of us may feel about Bateman on an ethical level, he proved everyone wrong, including Triple H. He became the first-ever Universal Champion. He defeated Brock Lesnar and John Cena at WrestleMania. Bateman is one of the most-accomplished superstars of the modern era. Now, it’s his chance to prove to Triple H that he was wrong,” Mauro Ranallo said to recap the history behind this match-up. Bateman stood still in the ring while Hunter made his ominous, intimidating entrance, though Bateman seemed to be unfazed by the presence of the man he credits with trying to ruin his life once upon a time. ‘The Game’ stepped into the ring and stood face-to-face with Bateman, both superstars eager to start their own version of war here at Hell of War.
When the bell rang, Hunter took the first shot, striking Bateman with a punch that barely even so much as rattled the two-time Universal Champion. Bateman retaliated with a heavy strike of his own, the two men trading blows until Bateman was somehow able to overpower Hunter and unleash a barrage of punches. Bateman was able to corner Hunter before Irish Whipping him into the opposite set of turnbuckles, launching himself into ‘The Game’ with a Stinger Splash. Bateman brought Hunter away from the ropes for a Belly-to-Belly Overhead Suplex, showing off his strength by hoisting him. Bateman got the cover that Hunter was immediately able to kick out of. Bateman slid out of the ring and grabbed Hunter by his legs, pulling him toward a corner to ram his right leg against the ring post. Bateman kicked Hunter’s knee that was perched against the post, heading back into the ring afterward to cover him for another count of two. “Bateman knows exactly what he’s doing. Perhaps the only man in WWE who can out-master ‘The Cerebral Assassin’ at his own game,” Don Callis said.
Bateman continued to target the right knee of Hunter, making it a point to try breaking down his adversary from the limbs. Bateman was able to take Hunter off of his feet with a vertical Suplex, keeping him in the air for more than a few seconds. Bateman, however, had no interest in a normal Suplex. Instead, he threw Hunter forward, knowing that he’d instinctively land on his feet. Upon doing, Hunter further tweaked his knee. Bateman charged toward Hunter for a Lariat, but was instead met with a Spinebuster. Hunter was able to get the cover despite his bad knee, Bateman managing to get a shoulder up.Hunter stirred to his feet, having to use the ropes just to be able to stand up properly. Hunter tried placing Bateman in position for a Pedigree, but ‘The God of the New Era’ was able to throw him onto the canvas with a Back Body Drop. Bateman knelt down and placed Hunter into a pinning predicament for another two count. When Hunter got to his feet, he was able to send Bateman face-first into a top turnbuckle with a Flapjack. The dazed Bateman turned around and walked right into a Pedigree, though the impact on Hunter’s knee appeared to be devastating. ‘The Game’ had the match won if he was just able to cover Bateman, but he clutched his knee and had to fight through the pain. Hunter finally covered Bateman, but it was only a near-fall. ‘The Game’ stood back up and tried for another Pedigree, but Bateman countered it into a TKO! Bateman did not let go of his grip on Hunter’s head, transitioning into what was initially a Dragon Sleeper. Bateman then achieved an incredible feat of strength by actually lifting Hunter off of his feet and back onto his shoulders, planting him with another TKO to get the biggest win of his Manifest Destiny run yet. DERRICK BATEMAN IS VICTORIOUS!
"And just like that, Derrick Bateman has ushered in a new 'Game' on Monday Night RAW," Mauro Ranallo stated following Bateman's incredible victory over Triple H. 'The God of the New Era' stood to his feet and had his arm raised in triumph, breaking his longest drought all year thus far when it comes to Pay-Per-View victories. "He lost the Aztec Warfare Match at SummerSlam. He couldn't beat Drew McIntyre at Payback. Derrick Bateman was on a decline, but if you ask me, this win over Triple H is what cements his spot once again at the top of RAW," said Don Callis. Although Bateman has proven yet again that he is one of WWE's absolute top stars, he still isn't at the top of the Manifest Destiny standings. As of now, he's tied for third place with The Miz, Kevin Owens, Finn Balor and Roman Reigns. Four competitors who will not go down without a fight. He holds the tiebreaker over Owens, putting him in control of that scenario. However, he still has yet to face Miz, Balor and Reigns, and that's where his run can easily be derailed. Plus, still awaiting him is Drew McIntyre, the man he has not been able to beat thus far. Bateman will not have an easy road if he wants to make it to Survivor Series, but this victory over Triple H gives him all of the momentum that he needs to do what he's been doing for nearly two years now and that's push through every barrier in his way with his middle fingers up in the air at the WWE and its fans.
THE RAW WOMEN'S DIVISION TAKES CENTER STAGE IN WEMBLEY STADIUM: Backstage, Cathy Kelley was shown approaching the door to Dario Cueto's office, which was backstage tonight as opposed to positioned near the stage. Bobby Lashley was guarding the door, Cathy trying to ask him if Dario was available to speak. The RAW General Manager then opened the door, thanking Lashley for standing guard the entire night to protect him from Matanza Cueto, who ended up not showing his face in the Scottrade Center. Dario asked for this interview time to make an announcement regarding the RAW Women's Championship. While all eyes are on Survivor Series after tonight, there is a historic event taking place from Wembley Stadium two weeks from tonight. "A two-night event called Giants Among Commonwealth, and after what happened earlier tonight in the Gauntlet Match, I now know exactly what needs to be done to settle things in this six-way rivalry. A few months ago, SmackDown Live thought they were one-upping RAW by holding the first-ever women's Elimination Chamber Match. Since then, the women of RAW have asked me time and time again when it'll be their turn... and now, that time has come. At Giants Among Commonwealth, Sasha Banks will put the RAW Women's Championship on the line against Charlotte Flair, Tessa Blanchard, Asuka, Bayley and Dakota Kai inside of the Elimination Chamber!"
"NOBODY KNOWS PRETTY GIRLS MAKE GRAVES": While the announcement regarding the Elimination Chamber Match at Giants Among Commonwealth will shake the RAW women's division to its core, it was time to settle the division's most heated rivalry to date in 2014. The match that has brought forth this event's own name. Coming up next, Alexa Bliss and Emma engage in what can only be described as the Hell of War. A video package commenced with the eerie sound of "Gravedigger" by MXMS playing in the background. "I think it's a good idea if you stay the f*** away from me." At the WWE Draft back in April, Emma was taken by Monday Night RAW in a move that separated her from Billie Kay and Peyton Royce, two superstars who have since reached the mountaintop of SmackDown Live. Emma not only did the same on RAW, but she practically monopolized the women's division. In the span of three Pay-Per-Views, she captured the RAW Women's Championship, Hardcore Championship and Money in the Bank briefcase for a Universal Championship opportunity. "Crown on my head and the thorns on my mind. Blade in the flesh and you're drinkin' my wine. I kiss, you disappear, you want to keep it a secret. I know you want to f*** me and you'll never forget it." Emma looked to be completely unstoppable until a trade sent Alexa Bliss over to RAW. One week into Alexa's tenure on RAW, she cost Emma the Hardcore Championship, ripping away one of the accomplishments that she boasted about every week. Emma tried to get back at Alexa by digging up her demons and targeting a very personal aspect of Alexa's past. At the conclusion of an episode of RAW back in the summer, Emma shoved her finger down Alexa's throat, forcing her to not only vomit on the spot, but resurrect the trauma from her eating disorder. Alexa would get her revenge at Vengeance by defeating Emma to become the RAW Women's Champion. Emma then decided to try one-upping Alexa by introducing to RAW Buddy Murphy, Alexa's ex-boyfriend. Emma and Murphy set out to make Alexa's life hell, and it all lead to a match at SummerSlam for both the RAW Women's Championship and Money in the Bank briefcase. With the stakes higher than ever before, Alexa managed to defeat Emma yet again, taking with her the final bit of hardware Emma had to her name. Emma was a broken woman from that point on. She was in the perfect position to become the next Universal Champion, but the wrath of Alexa caused her downfall. Emma hid in the shadows for a bit thereafter while Alexa sought out to capture all of Emma's past accomplishments for herself. Alexa became a bit too arrogant in her quest, and at Payback, it all came crashing down. She not only lost the RAW Women's Championship to Sasha Banks, but she also failed to win the Hardcore Championship from Murphy. As a last resort to prove that she's better than Emma, Alexa cashed-in her Money in the Bank contract at the end of the night against AJ Styles. Alexa nearly had Styles defeated, but Emma resurfaced to stop her. Alexa became the first superstar in WWE history to fail at a Money in the Bank cash-in, and Emma tried to make sure Alexa became history herself. Emma brutalized Alexa after the match, and concluded her attack by taking the ambulance Alexa was placed in, crashing the back of it into a wall. Alexa easily could have had her career end that night, or even worse, but made it out of the incident in one piece. "Everybody wants pretty girls they see. Nobody knows pretty girls make graves. Got you on a skewer so you crack on the pop. I'm not gonna stop 'til the box drops." RAW General Manager Dario Cueto proceeded to announce that Emma and Alexa will conclude their rivalry with the first-ever Hell of War Match, which is Dario's take on the Three Stages of Hell Match. In the first fall, the two will wage war in a First Blood Match. The second fall will see them compete in a No Holds Barred Match. If a third fall is necessary, it'll be contested in an Ambulance Match. This is where it all ends for these two, and awaiting the winner is what Emma and Alexa succeeded in costing the other: a Universal Championship shot. "Follow me into the fire. I'm a gravedigger. Follow me into the fire. I'm a, I'm a gravedigger. I'm a, I'm a gravedigger."
9) HELL OF WAR MATCH: "It's all about me!" The entrance music of Emma echoed throughout the Scottrade Center that was filled by the onlookers of the WWE Universe who had no idea what they were about to witness. Emma walked out to the stage with black leather pants, her own t-shirt, and camouflage overalls to complete the war-inspired look befitting of this contest. "This is where Emma will tell you she's belonged all this time. Her very first Pay-Per-View main event, and it's happening in the first-ever Hell of War Match," Don Callis said while an emotional Emma walked down the ramp, her sunglasses covering up the fact that she was actually crying a bit. She's the first-ever NXT Women's Champion. She was the first woman to defend the title at a TakeOver event. Right when the women's revolution was taking off on the main roster, she was the one holding down the fort in NXT. Everyone believed that she was going to immediately become the next big thing in women's wrestling, but her road to superstardom took much longer than she expected. She's had to sit back and watch so many other women headline major events while she waited for her turn. It wasn't just Alexa Bliss who she watched compete in main events. It was Paige, AJ Lee, Sofia Cortez, Kaitlyn, Allie, Becky Lynch and her own former stablemates in Billie Kay and Peyton Royce. Tomorrow night at Hell in a Cell, Paige is headlining her eighth Pay-Per-View event. Emma's waited all this time for just one, but it's finally happening. Emma is headlining a Pay-Per-View in a singles match. When you want something so badly, you need to be willing to do anything it takes to get it. Emma committed heinous crime after heinous crime, and in this cruel world where the rules are dictated by evil, selfish people who don't care who they hurt, Emma is being rewarded for becoming one of them. Emma is the main event. She said that she was going to make the WWE all about her, and she's done just that. Congratulations, Emma. You earned this. Now prove that you deserve to keep it.
Waiting still in a corner, Emma kept her eyes locked on the stage that she knew the person she wants to hurt more than anyone else would be emerging from. The one person who is standing in between herself and the Universal Championship. At the sound of Alexa Bliss' entrance music, perhaps the loudest ovation of the evening was heard from the WWE Universe. Alexa walked through the curtain, wearing her normal wrestling attire, though is completely blacked out with not a single pop of color like we'd become accustomed to from her. "Think about everything that is going through the mind of Alexa Bliss. Emma dug up every skeleton that she could find from Alexa. The song that just played in the video package was called 'Gravedigger' and that's what Emma's been to Alexa this whole time. Even right now, she wants to dig a new grave to put Alexa in so she can move forward in her career without having to worry about Alexa," said Mauro Ranallo. Alexa entered the ring, not waiting for the pre-match introductions to get the match started.
Immediately upon seeing each other, Alexa and Emma started throwing their fists at the other's face, brawling as opposed to wrestling. The First Blood Match was underway, both women well aware of what they were doing. Emma was able to shove Alexa into a corner, punching her repeatedly in the forehead to try creating a wound that would give her the first fall. Alexa kicked Emma in the left kneecap before drilling her with a heavy right hand shot to the side of her face. Alexa ran the ropes and kicked Emma in the face, doing everything she could that was within the rules to try making her opponent bleed. Emma rolled out of the ring, Alexa attempting a Suicide Dive through the opening above the bottom rope as opposed to the middle. However, Emma was able to catch Alexa in mid-air, proceeding to throw her face-first into a steel ring post. The official checked Alexa for any blood, but she was clean at that point. Emma grabbed Alexa and threw her against the barricade, then driving her knee against her face. Still, though, Alexa was not showing any signs of blood. Emma tried throwing Alexa into the ring post yet again, but Alexa was able to turn the tables this time. Emma was the one sent into the ring post, but without bleeding.
Both women became increasingly annoyed with the other's resiliency, and refusal to bleed. Emma grabbed Alexa's face and tried punching her directly on the mouth, figuring that would be an easy way to draw blood. Alexa responded with a punch of the same magnitude, Emma checking her lips to make sure she wasn't the one bleeding. Alexa kicked Emma in the mid-section before planting her with a DDT onto the floor! Both women were down and out, the official checking to see if Emma was bleeding. Because she wasn't, the first fall had to continue. Alexa tried sliding back into the ring, but Emma was able to get a hold of her legs and pull her out. Alexa crashed hard onto the floor, Emma then looking underneath the ring. The official tried telling Emma that she couldn't use any weapons during the First Blood Match, but Emma refused to listen because she had a plan that would not only draw blood from Alexa, but not get her disqualified. Emma took out nose pliers, leaving them in the ring before throwing Alexa back in. Making sure that Alexa was face-down, Emma took the pliers while keeping her knees pressed onto the back of Alexa's head and legs. "Wait... no, she's not going to..." said a frightened Ranallo as Emma took the pliers to one of Alexa's back piercings. Emma gripped the pliers onto the right piercing, ripping it off of Alexa's flesh! Alexa screamed in agony with nothing that she could do. Emma went ahead and ripped out the other piercing for no reason other than to amuse herself. Emma then used the pliers to squeeze Alexa's skin and cause some of the blood where the piercings were ripped to surface. It was a rather small amount of blood that came from the right piercing hole, but it was blood nonetheless. EMMA WINS THE FIRST BLOOD MATCH!
The second fall began, and finally, the two women were allowed to bring in whatever weapons they could find. Emma turned Alexa over and stabbed at her head with the closed pliers, now able to draw even more blood the way that she really wanted to. Emma set Alexa back onto the canvas, a wound opening on her forehead that the official couldn't do anything about, given the No Holds Barred stipulation that was now in place. Emma looked underneath the ring and brought out steel chairs, a trash can, and a lead pipe. Emma took one of the chairs and waited for Alexa to get back to her feet, instantly striking her in the mid-section. Emma leveled Alexa in the back once with the chair before setting two up in the center of the ring as if they were a table. Emma placed Alexa in position for a Brainbuster, but Alexa fought out of it and landed on her feet behind Emma. Alexa locked her arms behind Emma's neck, sending her through the two chairs with a Dragon Suplex! Emma held her head while Alexa got the cover, not able to get the win off of that. Alexa took the lead pipe thereafter and prepared it as if it were a baseball bat, looking forward to swinging it across the face of Emma. When Alexa swung the pipe, Emma was able to dodge the shot. Emma then grabbed Alexa by her head and neck, prying her mouth open to try sticking her finger down her throat again. Alexa tried biting down on Emma's finger, but Emma was too quick this time. Emma reached down deep into Alexa's throat before pulling her hand back after Alexa released the grip she had on her teeth. Alexa instantly covered her mouth and turned to the trash can that had been brought into the ring earlier, vomiting into it. Emma backed against the ropes and watched the scene from this past summer that she managed to recreate. Unlike when it happened on RAW, the feed wasn't cut. The cameras stayed on the ring as Alexa had to humiliatingly vomit into the trash can in the ring, a place that she had made sacred for herself over the last two years. When this happened on RAW, Alexa didn't know how to react. Her body and mind seemingly shut down and she kept herself away from the spotlight because of the mental trauma she suffered as a result. This time, Alexa didn't let her depressive emotions get the better of her. She picked her head up out of the trash can and turned to Emma, who wasn't expecting Alexa to be fit to still complete after throwing up. The rage in Alexa's eyes said that she wasn't going to let Emma win this time
Alexa ran into Emma with a Spear through the ropes and onto the floor, proceeding to fire away with right and left hand strikes. Alexa quickly grabbed the lead pipe from inside the ring and chased after Emma, hitting her in the back with the pipe. Emma dropped to her knees after the lead pipe shot, Alexa hitting her a few times in both of her shoulders. Alexa had Emma prone for a second, putting the lead pipe into her mouth and attempting to shove it down her throat. Emma gasped for air with the lead pipe working its way down her throat, reaching out to Alexa's face to try raking out her eyes. Alexa was blinded momentarily and released the grip she had on Emma, who then took Alexa and delivered a German Suplex onto the floor. Emma took Alexa's body and threw her carelessly into the steel steps before rolling her back into the ring. Emma looked underneath the ring for something else she could use to finish off Alexa, coming across a small bag of thumbtacks. Emma headed back into the ring and poured the thumbtacks onto the canvas before perching Alexa on a top turnbuckle. Emma climbed up to the top rope, attempting an Avalanche Suplex. Alexa, however, was able to fight back and strike Emma repeatedly in the forehead. She then resorted to headbutts, which placed some of Alexa's blood across Emma's head. Alexa shoved Emma off the top rope, the latter managing to land on her feet to avoid any thumbtack contact. Alexa then jumped off the top rope Twisted Bliss onto a standing Emma, causing her to fall onto the thumbtacks! Alexa covered Emma, scoring the second fall in Hell of War. ALEXA BLISS WINS THE NO HOLDS BARRED MATCH!
With both women now at one fall a piece, it was time for the ambulance to make its way into the Scottrade Center because either Alexa or Emma would be leaving in it. The sirens could be heard as the ambulance pulled up into the arena, parking at the side of the stage with the back doors facing the competitors. Alexa stood to het feet and noticed the thumbtacks lodged in her thighs and arms. It was a sight that she couldn't even believe herself, given what her mission statement was at the start of this year. She said that she wanted to clean up the women's division of the toxicity that superstars like AJ Lee and Paige brought forth. She had to learn the hard way over the last year that the women's division is its own beast that cannot be conquered. You either adapt to the violent hardships that have been made the status quo of the industry, or you get left behind. Alexa adapted. Emma adapted. And because of that, we're now in the final phase of a Hell of War Match that is in the midst of changing two lives forever.
After the ambulance had parked, Alexa turned around to grab Emma, only to be put into position for a Piledriver into the thumbtacks! Alexa grasped at her head, able to feel the thumbtacks lodged in it. Emma grabbed Alexa by her hair and pulled her out of the ring, dragging her back across the thumbtack pile while doing so. She wanted to finish off Alexa as quickly as she could without wasting any more time because in her mind, this match even reaching the third fall was just that. A waste of time. She came into this match under the assumption that she could finish off Alexa in two falls, but will now have to go to lengths that she isn't even certain that she won't regret down the line. Emma brought Alexa to the ambulance, throwing her practically lifeless carcass into the side of it. Alexa remained down on the stage thereafter while Emma opened the back doors. With no one noticing, Emma managed to plant some objects into the ambulance before the start of the show. She pulled out not just two tables, but two glass panels as well. Emma set the two tables up and propped the glass panels onto the top of them, creating a contraption that would surely spell the end for one of the two competitors. While Emma set up the tables and glass panels, Alexa had climbed to the top rope the ambulance. Emma glanced up and saw Alexa looking down on her, proceeding to rush to the top of the vehicle as well. Alexa looked down at the tables set up with glass, knowing that she was practically in a kill-or-be killed situation now. This was no longer about the Universal Championship opportunity at the stake. This was just about survival. Emma grabbed Alexa and tried hoisting her onto her shoulders so she could throw her off of the ambulance. Alexa frantically fought out of Emma's grip, Dropkicking both of her kneecaps thereafter. With Emma stunned momentarily near the edge of the ambulance's roof, Alexa decided to try one final move that would finish off Emma, but possibly herself as well.
Alexa ran toward the edge of the ambulance, driving Emma off of it with a Canadian Destroyer through the tables and glass panels!
"Mama mia! Holy s**t!" Ranallo yelled out over the sounds of the raucous St. Louis crowd. A handful of officials hurried out to the scene to check on both Alexa and Emma as the replay of the disastrous Canadian Destroyer played several times. Over on commentary, Ranallo tried calling play-by-play to give updates to everyone watching from home, while Callis just remained silent. Both Alexa and Emma were down and out across the shards of glass and wood, Alexa's eyes open while glaring up at the lights. Is this worth it? Is practically killing yourself the fair price for the happiness that revenge and championship gold can bring someone? How did they even get to this point? How does someone sink so low that they need to hurt others just to make themselves smile? The industry doesn't need to be like this. The world doesn't need to be like this. There has to be a way out. There needs to be something that someone can do to change what has been the norm. This level of violence and combat isn't necessary, yet the competitors have just accepted that this is what they need to do. Alexa doesn't want to do this anymore. She wants to be the beacon of light in the darkness that has become WWE. And these were all thoughts that Alexa tried grasping at, but as soon as she looked to her side and saw a bloodied-Emma unconscious, she could feel herself losing sight of the hope she wanted to hold onto. Anger engulfed her body at that point. Anger at everything that Emma has put her through. The misery that she's brought into Alexa's life. Alexa was now in the perfect position to end it once and for all. Disregarding all of the officials who were telling her not to move Emma's body, Alexa took Emma and used the last bit of strength she had to put her into the ambulance and close the doors. ALEXA BLISS IS VICTORIOUS!
It's over. Alexa Bliss' Hell has come to an end by virtue of her winning the Hell of War Match. She's now the number one contender for the Universal Championship. At some point in the future, Alexa has one more opportunity to dethrone AJ Styles and right the wrongs from Payback. This is the end of her rivalry with Emma. She went through Hell and back to emerge from the other end victorious, but Alexa had allowed hatred to consume her mind. The thoughts she had for a second about wanting to bring hope and change to the WWE escaped her. She then ran to the front door of the ambulance, pulling out the driver and taking his place. Alexa closed the door and started the engine, driving the ambulance into the parking lot while officials chased after her. Alexa rushed the ambulance nearly out of the Scottrade Center, driving until she had enough distance between the back of the ambulance and a wall. Alexa wanted to do what Emma did to her at Payback, and with the state that Emma was in, the impact very well could kill her. Alexa started backing the ambulance up, inching closer and closer to the wall before suddenly stopping. Alexa allowed the last few months of her life to race through her head at once, and the conclusion she came to was that if she did this to Emma, she'd be no better than her. Alexa would have given up the potential to be the light in the darkness for everyone who needs a hero to look up to. In the driver's seat, Alexa began to cry after being overcome with emotion. As much as it pained her to do this, she needed to just walk away. She wasn't going to let herself become a monster. Alexa exited the driver's seat, and with her body still cover in blood, thumbtacks and shards of glass, she slowly walked toward the exit to the Scottrade Center.
Go become the beacon of light, Alexa. Someone needs to.

SHOW INTRO: After the signature WWE intro, a video package began playing with a shot of the Hell in a Cell structure descending from the ceiling. This was followed by some highlights from the match’s history, including the voiceovers to accompany them. After the closing shot of Undertaker standing on top of the Cell, looking down at Mankind during their 1998 bout, the video changed to full color with Grimes’ “We Appreciate Power” acting as the soundtrack. ”What will it take you make you capitulate? We appreciate power. We appreciate power.” Some clips of Becky Lynch and Allie’s rivalry that dates back to the start of the brand split were shown as Becky has the opportunity tonight to close the chapter on this story. And as we heard from SmackDown Live General Manager Poppy not too long ago, the winner of this match will earn a WWE Championship opportunity at Survivor Series. After some shots of Becky and Allie inside the Hell in a Cell structure individually were shown, the video turned to the rivalry between WWE Champion Paige and John Cena. ”And if you long to never die. Baby, plug in, upload your mind. Come on, you’re not even alive if you’re not backed up on a drive.” The shocking revelation that Cena assisted SmackDown Women’s Champion Nikki Bella in attacking Paige after SummerSlam set the stage for this encounter between the man who has spent the last decade as of the face of WWE, and the woman who has claimed that title for herself over the last two years. Who will give their soul to Satan himself in exchange for glory within the confines of WWE’s most dangerous structure? ”Neanderthal to human being. Evolution, kill the gene. Biology is superficial. Intelligence is artificial. Submit… submit… submit… submit…” Welcome, everyone, to Hell in a Cell!
1) SMACKDOWN WOMEN'S CHAMPIONSHIP: After the commentary trio of Mauro Ranallo, Rob Naylor and Nigel McGuinness welcomed the WWE Network and Pay-Per-View audience to Hell in a Cell, The Iconic Duo's theme song was the first sound heard echoing throughout the Scottrade Center. Billie Kay walked through the curtain, wearing a Maleficent-inspired headgear for her very first one-on-one championship opportunity in WWE. "That woman's thought pattern has to be going at a million miles an hour right about now. Her wife, Peyton Royce, is still out with a knee injury. Her friend... yeah, I think she's her friend, Paige, is defending the WWE Championship tonight against John Cena. And rumors continuously circulate regarding Paige's contract status, and you'd have to think that Billie knows something about it that none of us do. Billie's life is embroiled in drama and controversy at the moment, but she needs to figure out a way to put all of that aside for the time being and focus solely on the task at hand because the SmackDown Women's Title is at stake," rambled McGuinness. After Billie was settled in the ring, she awaited the arrival of Nikki Bella, who received a less than favorable response from the St. Louis crowd. Nikki inserted herself into the SmackDown Women's Championship picture by carrying out an attack on Paige with the help of Cena after SummerSlam. Nikki's re-emergence paved the way for her to capture the blue, white and gold belt, but in her first defense, everything can crumble before her eyes if she's not able to defeat 'The Femme Fatale.'
When the bell sounded, Nikki and Billie met in the center of the ring, Billie having the clear height advantage over the champion. Nikki was the first to strike with a forearm, Billie retaliating with a knee to the mid-section. Billie tried shooting Nikki off the ropes, but Nikki managed to counter it by keeping a grip on Billie's wrist, bringing her in for another heavy strike. Nikki was able to take Billie down with an X-Factor, covering her for what was barely a two count. Nikki picked Billie up and placed her against a corner, chopping her once before backing away for what she intended to be a Splash. Billie was able to sidestep it, running into Nikki with a Big Boot that actually sent the defending champion over the top rope. Billie had to go out and grab Nikki to roll her back into the ring, getting her first cover that Nikki was able to power out of.
Trying to keep the upper-hand over Nikki, Billie threw her against the ropes, catching her with a Samoan Drop off of the rebound. After Nikki kicked out again, Billie stood her up for what was going to be a Fisherman Suplex as a nod to Peyton. Nikki, however, was able to counter it into a small package roll-up, Billie struggling to kick out of because of her long limbs. Billie fought of it in time, but was cracked with a forearm from Nikki that was even heavier than the one that was used to start off the match. Nikki hoisted the dazed Billie onto her shoulders, delivering the Rack Attack! Nikki got the cover with the hook of the inside leg, but somehow, Billie was able to kick out! The stunned Nikki tried to react quickly, grabbing Billie's legs to try going for the STF. Billie was able to kick Nikki away into the ropes, attempting a Big Boot off the rebound. Nikki dodged the kick and tried following up with an Enziguri, but Billie evaded that. One-half of The Iconic Duo was then able to take Nikki out with a Big Boot, but didn't immediately go for the cover. Instead, Billie waited near a corner for Nikki to stand back up, connecting with the Antithesis! The signature knee strike of Paige was Billie's final resort, covering Nikki afterward for the biggest three count of her career to date. BILLIE KAY IS THE NEW SMACKDOWN WOMEN'S CHAMPION!
And with that, Billie Kay has just captured her first-ever singles title in WWE. One-half of The Iconic Duo slowly rose to her feet after the closing bell, pretty much in shock over the result. Once Billie was handed the SmackDown Women's Championship, that's when it all became real to her. Bille, who became a fan of professional wrestler after being sat down by her brother to watch a show in 1999, just realized her dream of becoming the Women's Champion! 'The Femme Fatale' raised the title while soaking in the overwhelming response from the audience, Rob Naylor noting how the WWE Universe may not have seen the struggle on the part of Billie to get to this point. "This woman was born and raised in an entirely different country. She didn't come up in a time like now where independent wrestling, especially international companies, are available as soon as you access the internet. She had to scratch and claw her way just to be noticed. I watched Billie work shows in America for promotions like SHIMMER where she wasn't promised anything. There was never a guarantee that she'd be brought back, but she kept a good head on her shoulders and made it possible for WWE to take notice of her. And now, after the hell that has been her 2014, Billie Kay is the new SmackDown Women's Champion!"
CATCH POINT LOOK AHEAD TO SURVIVOR SERIES: Backstage, SmackDown Tag Team Champions CM Punk and TJ Perkins of Catch Point were shown watching a television screen with Billie Kay's celebration continuing, TJP scoffing at the success of the Iconic Duo member while Punk didn't seem to care. The champions were approached by Renee Young, who asked if the fact that Punk and TJP are now tied for first place in the SmackDown Live block has created any friction between the two. Punk said that for as long as Catch Point has been a thing, he and TJP have been out to one-up the other, but it's not out of disdain for the other. "We might not be the best of friends. We're certainly not going to be at the same table for Thanksgiving, but we can at least acknowledge that we are the two very best professional wrestlers on SmackDown Live. Between the two of us in just the last few months, we've held the WWE Championship, the Intercontinental Championship, and now the SmackDown Tag Team Championships. Neither of us are surprised by our records so far because the outcome of this tournament is already a forgone conclusion. The two of us will be SmackDown Live's representatives in the finals at Survivor Series, and there, that's where we'll really find out who is the best that Catch Point has to offer." TJP smirked during Punk's promo, knowing that Punk damn well believes he's the true king of Catch Point and TJP is a distant number two. "... Right. What Punk said. Catch Point is a unit that produces the very best. Allie isn't with us right now, but she'd say the same thing. And she'll hold up her end of the bargain by beating Becky Lynch tonight to become the number one contender for the WWE Title. Punk and I will be victorious in our respective..." TJP stopped when R-Truth walked into the picture. "Yeah, that's all well and good, but y'all want to know the truth? The truth is that tonight, I'm getting my first Manifest Destiny victory, and then it's full speed into Texas at Survivor Series!" Punk, TJP and even Renee stared at Truth in confusion before TJP finally said something to him. "... Truth... number one, you're not in Manifest Destiny! And two, you're not even on SmackDown Live!" Truth's facial expression showed genuine surprise at TJP's remarks. "... This is Hell of War, right?" Truth asked while there was literally a Hell in a Cell graphic projected onto the screen next to him, which TJP pointed out to him. Truth had to get up close to the screen and squint his eyes to read the text. "... I'm... I'm sorry, y'all. That one's on me. There's just too many Hells."
2) MANIFEST DESTINY MATCH: A rematch from last month's Unforgiven Pay-Per-View event. Not only was this Jeff Hardy's chance at revenge against Dean Ambrose, but 'The Charismatic Enigma' could also pick up some much-needed momentum in Manifest Destiny with a current record of just 1-3. Hardy headed out through the curtain first, receiving his usual monstrous reaction from the WWE Universe. Donning face paint for this contest, Nigel McGuinness noted how he believes Hardy should embrace his "extreme" side for this bout. "Hardy should already know that Ambrose is going to bring an unsurmountable level of violence tonight. Perhaps at Unforgiven, Hardy couldn't do the same because he was blindsided by Ambrose's betrayal just a few days prior. But now, Hardy has had over a month to scout Ambrose and figure out his tactics." After Hardy was settled in the ring, Ambrose's entrance music sounded to a mixed response, 'The Lunatic Fringe' storming down the ramp. Ambrose was already more than pissed off after accumulating a current record of 2-2 in Manifest Destiny, the tournament that he won last year. If Ambrose wants to turn things around, he's going to need the victory against Hardy, who was eager to get his hands on Ambrose as he exited the ring and ran toward his adversary on the ramp.
Ambrose and Hardy met in the aisle and began trading blows, the official demanding that both men get into the ring already to officially begin the contest. Hardy and Ambrose's scuffle spilled toward the side of the stage, Ambrose catching Hardy with a knee to the mid-section before the throwing him into one of the LED boards on the stage. Ambrose tried for a vertical Suplex onto the stage, but Hardy was able to counter it into a Suplex of his own. Ambrose tried crawling away, but Hardy caught up to him. Hardy brought Ambrose back to his feet and bounced his face off the LEB board. 'The Lunatic Fringe' once again tried getting away from Hardy, who continued following him. All while their Manifest Destiny match had yet to even begin.
On the side of the arena where the hard camera and production equipment was set up, Ambrose grabbed a laptop and threw it at Hardy's legs, just barely missing him. Hardy ran toward Ambrose and fired off with more heavy strikes, Ambrose unable to block any of them. Hardy grabbed what looked to be a flashlight from a nearby table and knocked Ambrose upside the head with it. With Ambrose dazed, Hardy was able to lie him down onto the aforementioned table before heading up to the seats located above. Hardy made his way through the WWE Universe in St. Louis before stepping onto a guardrail, looking down at Ambrose. Hardy soared through the air with a Swanton Bomb, only for Ambrose to move! Hardy crashed and burned through the table, failing to connect on what was at least a 12-foot jump. Ambrose stirred to his feet and grabbed the motionless body of Hardy, bringing him out to the ringside area before rolling him into the ring. The official was hesitant to call for the bell, but once Hardy made it clear that he could still go, the match began. Hardy's resiliency was his downfall as Ambrose charged into him with a Boma Ye to the back of his head, following up with the Dirty Deeds that gave Ambrose the win is just a few seconds. DEAN AMBROSE IS VICTORIOUS!
As soon as the match ended, Dean Ambrose stood up to his feet and held up three fingers on his left hand to the hard camera, signaling that he now has three wins under his belt in Manifest Destiny. For the first time in this year's tournament, Ambrose holds a winning record, and is now closer to the top of the standings than he's ever been before. Granted, this was the first Manifest Destiny match of the evening, so a lot can change for Ambrose over the course of the event. However, as long as last year's winner continues his winning ways, there shouldn't be any reason why he can't control his own destiny heading into the finals at Survivor Series.
3) MANIFEST DESTINY MATCH: The third one-on-one encounter between Johnny Gargano and Andrade 'Cien' Almas, two men who have experience when it comes to the high-pressure situations that tournaments enable. As Almas made his entrance with Zelina Vega, Mauro Ranallo noted that while Gargano has defeated Almas on two separate occasions for the Cruiserweight Championship, this might be the most important match for him against 'El Idolo.' "No matter how many times Gargano defeats Almas, the history books will forever read that Almas beat him to win the Cruiserweight Classic. This is Gargano's chance to get back at Almas in a tournament setting where - if fate plays out this way - he could be the man responsible for keeping Almas out of the finals at Survivor Series." Once Almas and Zelina were in the ring, Gargano's entrance music sounded to a thunderous ovation from the Scottrade Center. Gargano, who is currently in a four-way tie for first place at the moment, can overtake the top spot for himself in this match-up.
The contest started with Almas running toward Gargano, who was able to sidestep him. Almas went behind Gargano and lifted him up for a Belly-to-Back Suplex, Gargano managing to land on his feet. Almas turned around and was able to block a Superkick from Gargano, throwing his foot back onto the ground. Almas tried for his patented back elbow strike, but Gargano had it scouted. Gargano attempted his own Belly-to-Back Suplex, Almas landing on his feet just like he did. Gargano and Almas came to a stalemate early on, the WWE Universe showing their appreciation for the in-ring prowess on the part of both men. Their previous encounters have made them all too familiar with one another, making it clear that this wouldn't be an easy victory for either.
The two superstars took a more methodical approach to their combat, opting for a collar-and-elbow tie-up. Almas was able to force Gargano against a corner, delivering a Knife Edge Chop that Gargano matched with one of his own. Gargano connected with a few more to the chest of Almas before whipping him off of the ropes. Almas dodged Gargano's Clothesline to take him down with one of his own. Almas tried stomping onto the chest of Gargano, but 'Johnny Wrestling' rolled out of the way. Gargano threw a kick at the shin of Almas, bringing him down to one knee for a Superkick. Gargano got the cover, but Almas was able to kick out at two. Gargano went for another Superkick, but Almas evaded it and rolled him up. Instead of keeping the pinning predicament on Gargano, Almas used his strength to lift him for a one-arm Powerbomb into a corner! Gargano was dazed in a corner as Almas charged into him with double knees to his head and neck. Almas pulled Gargano into the center of the ring, covering him for what was just a two count. Almas knew he needed to try something on a grander scale if he wanted to put Gargano away, looking to follow up with Destino. However, Gargano caught Almas during the Destino attempt, throwing him head-first into a second turnbuckle with the Lawn Dart! Gargano stepped out onto the ring apron, looking for a Slingshot DDT. While in the air, though, Almas caught him with a huge palm strike to his face. Gargano was perched on the top rope, Almas locking his arms in place for a rope-hung Hammerlock DDT. Gargano was able to bounce his feet off the rope, putting Almas in a pinning combination. When Almas got his shoulder up, Gargano grabbed his left arm and applied the Gargano Escape! Almas was trapped in Gargano's submission hold in the center of the ring, trying to reach toward the bottom rope. Gargano reeled back with all of his might, proving to be too much for Almas to bear as he tapped out. JOHNNY GARGANO IS VICTORIOUS!
When the bell was called for to conclude the match, Johnny Gargano released the Gargano Escape that granted him the victory against Andrade 'Cien' Almas. For Gargano, this win couldn't have been any more satisfying for him as he submitted the man who prevented him from winning the Cruiserweight Classic. Gargano holds the tiebreaker over Almas now, should Manifest Destiny end in a scenario where that's going to matter. Bringing his record up to 4-1, Gargano is now in first place in the SmackDown Live block. In order for him to leave Hell in a Cell with the top seed all to himself, he must count on Sami Zayn and the SmackDown Tag Team Champions, TJ Perkins and CM Punk, to all lose their respective tournament matches tonight.
4) MANIFEST DESTINY MATCH: One of the most interesting Manifest Destiny match-ups of the evening as two men who have spent the last three months as tag team partners were set to face off. "It's fitting when you think about it. This partnership started when the two men were in the WWE Championship match at The Bash, and now, the partnership ends in a tournament where a title opportunity is at stake for whoever can outlast the rest of the field come Survivor Series," said Nigel McGuinness as Sami Zayn made his entrance. Zayn's tournament history speaks for itself as he came out on top in a Number One Contenders tournament down in NXT last year, leading to him defeating Kevin Owens at TakeOver: Forever to become the NXT Champion. More recently, Zayn's first Pay-Per-View as part of the main roster saw him best Tyler Breeze, John Cena and CM Punk to become the WWE Champion at Backlash. If he can defeat Cody Rhodes here tonight, he'll tie Johnny Gargano for first place. While Zayn stood in a corner, the opening notes to Downstait's "Kingdom" blared as Cody walked through the curtain alongside Brandi Rhodes, who has been seen by the WWE Universe as a detriment to the image of 'The American Nightmare.' At this exact event last year, Cody closed out the show with a victory over Bray Wyatt to retain the WWE Championship. He then geared up for a Survivor Series main event match against Brock Lesnar. However, the days of Cody serving as the face of the company seem like a distant memory at this point. He's not been able to reclaim the WWE Championship ever since then, and he's only having a fair outing in Manifest Destiny with an even record of two wins and two losses. If Cody doesn't start building momentum quickly, the rest of the SmackDown Live field could surpass him in a flash.
Cody and Zayn were ready to begin their bout, but before the bell was sounded, the official exited the ring to deliver a message to Brandi. Per orders of SmackDown General Manager Poppy, Brandi was barred from ringside for this match-up. Brandi was irate over the news, as was Cody, who shouted at the official from inside the ring. The official tried paying no attention to Cody's tantrum and called for the bell. Zayn saw an opening and tried to take advantage of it while Cody was distracted, charging toward him with the Helluva Kick. Cody still managed to evade it, targeting Zayn's right knee thereafter. Despite the two men being former SmackDown Tag Team Champions, they were still willing to power through the other for the sake of Manifest Destiny. Cody pulled Zayn into the center of the ring and took him down with a Dragon Screw before applying the Figure Four Leg Lock. Cody has the maneuver cinched in, Zayn looking around to see which side of the ring was within his reach. Unable to carry Cody's weight with him to the bottom rope, Zayn was able to gather the strength to turn the Figure Four around, now putting all of the pressure on Cody. 'The American Nightmare' crawled on his stomach toward the rope, soon latching onto it and forcing Zayn to release the hold.
Zayn stirred to his feet and tried picking Cody up off the canvas, only to be met with a heavy Uppercut to his jaw. Cody then rolled Zayn up, only able to secure a two count. Cody kicked Zayn in the side of the head before placing him into a corner, perching him on the top rope afterward. Cody had an Avalanche Vertical Suplex in mind, but Zayn was able to knock him off and onto the canvas. When Cody stood back up, Zayn flew through the air with a Crossbody, getting a near-fall on Cody as a result. Cody got up against a corner, Zayn once again attempting the Helluva Kick. After missing yet again, Cody springboarded off the second rope with the Disaster Kick! He attempted to follow up with Cross Rhodes, but Zayn countered it into a Blue Thunder Bomb! Instead of going for the cover, Zayn kept his grips on Cody's legs and slingshotted him into a corner. With Cody facing the turnbuckles, Zayn delivered the Helluva Kick to the back of his head! Cody slumped onto the canvas, Zayn covering him to finally get his win. SAMI ZAYN IS VICTORIOUS!
Sami Zayn rose to his feet triumphantly after the closing bell, gaining yet another victory in Manifest Destiny. The updated standings showed Zayn tied for first place along with Johnny Gargano, and depending on how the rest of the evening goes, they could be joined by the SmackDown Tag Team Champions, CM Punk and TJ Perkins. Zayn has four days of rest awaiting him before he has to collide with Matt Riddle on SmackDown Live for the very first time, but 'The Underdog from the Underground' controls his destiny for the time being. Cody Rhodes, on the other hand, falls to 2-3, and the road for him to Survivor Series becomes much more tumultuous, especially now that General Manager Poppy has seemingly put her foot down when it comes to Brandi Rhodes' presence at ringside during the tournament.
“SILLY LITTLE MONSTER, SHOULD'VE JUST HELD MY TONGUE”: Now comes the part of Hell in a Cell where Manifest Destiny gets put to the side, making way for the structure that has made a reputation out of cutting careers short. The Hell in a Cell structure began lowering to the ground as Mauro Ranallo set the stage for the third and final chapter in one of SmackDown Live's most heated rivalries. "Last year, Paige and Stephanie McMahon made history by becoming the first women to ever compete inside the demonic structure. Now, it's Becky Lynch's and Allie's turns to put each other through Hell." A video package commenced with Meg Myers' "Numb" playing in the background. "SmackDown Live's final pick is... Allie!" At the WWE Draft on April 10th, Shane McMahon used the blue brand's last televised selection to bring Allie over to SmackDown Live, freeing her from the shackles of being Stephanie McMahon's assistant. That same night, Becky Lynch made the jump from NXT to SmackDown Live, and while waging war against The Iconic Duo, she soon found backup in the form of Allie. "When all is said and done, tell me how to write this. Tell me how to fight this war." At Backlash, the team of Becky and Allie came up short against Billie Kay and Peyton Royce, but their golden opportunity came in the first-ever women's Elimination Chamber Match at Judgment Day to crown the inaugural SmackDown Women's Champion. Ultimately, it was Becky who came out on top to make history. Just four days later on SmackDown Live, Allie was triumphant in a Five-Pack Challenge to earn a title opportunity against Becky at Money in the Bank. The stage was now set for their first one-on-one encounter, but what came next was something that nobody in the WWE Universe could have ever predicted. "Look at what I've become. Silly little monster, should've just held my tongue." After Becky defeated Kaitlyn in what turned out to be the latter's final match in WWE, she and Allie were surrounded by Catch Point. The two were prepared for a fight until Allie unveiled a Catch Point shirt of her own, defecting to SmackDown Live's most despised stable and stabbing Becky in the back in the process. Allie's actions were fueled by the desire to help de-stigmatize mental illness since at that point, AJ Lee's dire mental state had been exploited on WWE programming. While Allie's reasoning may have been noble, she could've gone about making her point through different means. She didn't need to betray Becky and the entire WWE Universe, but what's done is done. And Allie had to lie in the bed she made at Money in the Bank. "I hate the feeling of this weight upon my shoulders. Pushing the pressure down on me. You think you want the best for me, but nothing really matters. If you force it, it won't come. I guess I'm feeling numb." In Chicago, the championship match never began as Becky and Allie brawled on the outside. That week on SmackDown Live, Allie extracted her revenge by using Paige's Money in the Bank briefcase to injure Becky's hands. With Becky out of the picture, Allie set her sights on the Money in the Bank contract, a target she failed to acquire from Paige at The Bash. Afterward, Becky made her return by going after Allie, and soon thereafter, another SmackDown Women's Title match was set up for SummerSlam. "Sometimes, I wish I could fly through a secret trap door into life. Bury my head in the sand. I don't want to grow up." When the two women finally had their one-on-one match, Becky was victorious in a contest that many have praised as one of the best women's bouts in WWE history. The high Becky was riding after SummerSlam quickly went to sh*t after Allie attacked her on SmackDown Live, pouring gasoline on her with the intentions of lighting her on fire. Becky allowed Allie another title opportunity, only this time, it would come in the main event of Unforgiven in the women's division's first-ever Inferno Match. Becky and Allie were not alone in this instance as the match was interrupted by CM Punk, TJ Perkins, Taynara Conti, Paige, Billie Kay and Peyton Royce. The chaos ended with Becky being shoved off a ladder, crashing through a flaming table. Allie became the new SmackDown Women's Champion, and for a few weeks, operated under the belief that she had seen the last of Becky. "I'll play the game. I'll do everything you tell me. All the losers win in the end." Allie gambled the SmackDown Women's Title at Unison in a Title for Title match against Paige, failing to win the WWE Championship. And at SmackDown's 15th Anniversary celebration, Allie's career course took a turn for the worse when Becky returned, taking out Allie's newfound "Assassins" - Mandy Rose, Sonya Deville and Rosemary. Becky issued the challenge for a Hell in a Cell Match, which Allie accepted only three days ago. What started out as a feud over the SmackDown Women's Championship has become personal, and inside of one of WWE's most dangerous structures, this story reaches its malevolent end. And as stated by General Manager Poppy prior to the start of the Pay-Per-View, the winner will go on to Survivor Series to challenge for the WWE Championship. "I guess I'm feeling numb. I guess I'm feeling numb. I guess I'm feeling numb. I guess I'm feeling numb."
5) HELL IN A CELL MATCH: An ominous feeling loomed in the atmosphere in the Scottrade Center, the Hell in a Cell structure now surrounding the squared circle. At the sound of Allie's entrance music, a chorus of boos could be heard in the WWE Universe. Allie walked out through the curtain, holding a gasoline tank in one hand and lighter in the other. "She's here to finish what she started at Unforgiven and burn all of Becky's superstar potential to the ground on her way to becoming the WWE Champion," Rob Naylor said. Wearing her bloody bunny mask, Allie walked into the Cell structure, looking around at the walls that she perhaps never thought she'd be confined in. Setting down the tank and lighter, Allie removed her bunny mask and unveiled her painted face, bringing with her the same dark energy that she did at Unforgiven. Allie stood in the ring, the commentary team startled by the fact that she came alone and not with The Assassins. Chants for Becky echoed throughout the arena as 'The Irish Lass Kicker' walked out onto the stage with a new black and yellow Kill Bill-inspired attire. Becky raised a barbed wire baseball bat, holding it over her shoulder while marching down to the ring. "Becky's always said that this dream she's chasing isn't just about her. She wanted to inspire others to take chances on themselves and go after their heart's desires because that's what she did and it's brought her to superstardom in the WWE. But now, Becky needs to fight for herself. She needs to fight for survival. She needs to be willing to do things in this match that will shed every ounce of morality she possesses because if she doesn't, she's as good as dead," said Nigel McGuinness.
Charging into the ring, Becky started throwing both of her hands at Allie's face, the latter doing the same to her. The two women brawled before Allie picked up the gasoline tank and threw it at Becky's hip. This bought Allie enough time to clobber Becky with a forearm smash to the side of the head, gaining the upper-hand momentarily. Becky, however, managed to get a hold of Allie and send her into a corner with the Bexploder Suplex! Allie rolled out of the ring as Becky ran the ropes for a Suicide Dive, but when she stuck her head out of the ring, Allie delivered a kendo stick shot to the top of her skull! Becky fell back onto the canvas, holding her head while Allie pummeled her with strikes from the kendo stick to her back. Allie was able to wear out Becky enough for her to look underneath the ring again, this time bringing out every steel chair she could find.
Allie threw all of the chairs into a pile in the center of the ring, throwing Becky's face into one of them before picking her up for a slam. Becky was able to slide off of Allie's shoulders, connecting with a few European Uppercuts before hoisting her up for a Belly-to-Back Suplex onto the chairs! Allie immediately clutched the back of her head, Becky taking the kendo stick to extract her revenge. With every shot to Allie with the kendo stick, the fans in St. Louis chanted "Yes!" to further fuel Becky's drive to punish her adversary. Becky moved the chairs out of the way, aside from the two that she set up next to each other. Becky brought Allie back up to her feet, putting her in position for a Sidewalk Slam onto the two chairs! Becky could have covered Allie, but instead stared down at her. Allie's facial expression of pain was alluring to Becky, who has waited ever since Unforgiven to be able to get her hands on 'The Queen of Catch' again. Becky walked toward a corner and grabbed the barbed wire baseball bat that she brought with her, reeling it back with the intention of striking Allie in the head with it. Becky swung the bat, but Allie dodged it. Allie kicked Becky in the mid-section and took the baseball bat, trying to drive the barbed wire into her forehead. Becky grabbed the ends of the bat and tried to keep the barbed wire away from her, managing to overpower Allie and shove the barbed wire into her face! Allie put her hands against her eyes, giving Becky the opening to strike her in the back with the barbed wire bat!
Allie exited the ring after having the barbed wire puncture her back, Becky chasing after her. Becky leaped off of the apron and took Allie down with a Clothesline before looking underneath the ring, bringing out a table that she slid into the ring before taking out another table. This time, to set it up on one leg at ringside. Becky brought Allie closer to her, sending her through the table with a Bexploder Suplex! Becky rose to her feet and tried picking Allie back up before noticing Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville walking down the entrance ramp. Becky could've remained focused on Allie, but her drive to take out The Assassins as well got the better of her. She looked underneath the ring and grabbed a toolbox, finding bolt cutters to rip apart the padlock that kept the Cell door sealed. Becky opened the door and ran after Mandy and Sonya, getting herself into a two-on-one fight. Becky was able to take Sonya and ram her into the Cell wall before doing the same into the barricade. Mandy tried getting away from Becky by climbing the Cell, but Becky was able to stop her with a Powerbomb onto the floor. Both Mandy and Sonya were no longer equalizers, Becky trying to turn her attention back to Allie. However, as she was getting back into the ring, someone from underneath stuck their hands out to grab her. This distraction gave Allie enough time to take a steel chair and throw it at Becky's head. Rosemary emerged from underneath the ring, showing that Allie didn't actually come alone into Hell in a Cell after all.
Rosemary stood over Becky, seemingly keeping watch while Allie looked to retrieve even more objects she could use for punishment. Similar to her Deathmatch with Paige at Unison, Allie brought out a pane of glass. Taking her vicious ways a step further, she set a second glass pane in the ring, setting them up on opposite ends. Rosemary grabbed Becky and rolled her into the ring, Allie connecting with a knee strike to Becky's face before lifting her up onto her shoulders. Allie drove Becky into one of the glass panes with the Death Allie Driver, dragging her across the shards of glass before going for a cover. Somehow, Becky managed to kick out! Allie was stunned over the fact that Becky just took the full force of a maneuver through glass, but still had enough fight in her to stay alive. Allie rose to her feet and looked like she was about to lose her cool, Rosemary trying to calm her. Becky crawled toward the other pane of glass, putting her hands on it to help herself up. The cuts on her hands stained the glass with blood, Becky turning around and noticing Rosemary running toward her. Becky was able to sidestep Rosemary, sending her through the glass! Suddenly, all three Assassins were down and out, but Allie was still standing. She took a steel chair and absolutely clocked Becky over the head with it, covering her for what was just another two count!
"She's about to panic. Allie is on the verge of victory and a WWE Championship opportunity in a sold out baseball stadium, and is going to lose it all if she can't stay focused," McGuinness said while Allie looked as if she were about to burst into tears. She knew that all it would take to put Becky away was one more big move, and she knew what it needed to be. Not just for its poetic nature, but the potential it carries of ending Becky's career, or even worse. Allie set up the table that Becky put into the ring earlier, and emptied the tank of gasoline onto its surface. Allie glanced over at Becky, who was barely moving while trying to take as much glass out of her skin as she could. Allie then lit the table on fire, grabbing Becky by the hair and bringing her up to the top turnbuckle. Allie was going to finish off Becky with an Avalanche Vertical Suplex, but 'The Irish Lass Kicker' fought back with headbutts and any combination of strikes she could put together while the flames could be seen reflecting in her eyes. Becky grabbed Allie and put her in a Side Effect stance, driving both of them through the flaming table! The fire was put out upon impact, Allie lying motionlessly on top of the remains while Becky rolled away, not even sure if she was on fire again or not. Becky had to crawl toward Allie's body, covering to put her nightmare to an end and secure her spot in the main event of Survivor Series. BECKY LYNCH IS VICTORIOUS!
She reeks the stench of burning flesh and still has glass shards sticking out of her body, but Becky Lynch just put Allie away in the women's division's second Hell in a Cell Match ever! Becky, who initially had trouble even finding the strength to pin Allie, came to life once the match was over, her music echoed throughout the Scottrade Center, and the roars of the WWE Universe congratulated her. Becky managed to stand up to her feet and have her arm raised, observing the carnage in the ring that she would be leaving behind. Ever since coming to SmackDown Live in the Draft, Becky has shared the squared circle with Allie as partners and opponents. Their journeys brought them to Hell in a Cell here tonight, but going forward, Becky is the one who will have her head held high, knowing that she overcame that woman who set out to end her career. And now, what awaits Becky at Survivor Series is something even she never could have imagined. At one point, Becky thought she was through with professional wrestling. An injury brought her to an early retirement. And now, she is going to headline Survivor Series in front of nearly 50,000 people against either Paige or John Cena for the WWE Championship.
Becky Lynch was prophesied by her peers and fans as the next breakout woman in the WWE, but more than ever before, she proved tonight that she is more than just the woman to lead this company into the future. She's 'The Man' who will do it.
WWE RETURNS TO WEMBLEY: A promo was shown to promote Giants Among Commonwealth, a two-night event in Wembley Stadium that will see more Manifest Destiny matches take place. As we learned yesterday at Hell of War by RAW General Manager Dario Cueto, Sasha Banks will defend the RAW Women's Championship against Bayley, Dakota Kai, Asuka, Charlotte Flair and Tessa Blanchard in an Elimination Chamber Match on night one. As for night two's events, the first-ever WWE United Kingdom Championship defense will be held when Will Ospreay defends the gold against SAnitY's Jimmy Havoc. Giants Among Commonwealth is live November 8th and 9th, only on the WWE Network.
6) MANIFEST DESTINY MATCH: While the WWE Universe members were still reeling from the Hell in a Cell Match between Becky Lynch and Allie, it was time to refocus on Manifest Destiny. One of Allie's Catch Point stablemates, TJ Perkins, walked through the curtain to some of the loudest boos of the weekend for any superstar on either brand. One-half of the SmackDown Tag Team Champions was still visibly upset after having his undefeated streak in the tournament be broken this past Thursday by Intercontinental Champion Samoa Joe. If there is any silver lining for TJP, it's that a victory here tonight keeps him in first place. Granted, it's a shared spot as of now with Sami Zayn and Johnny Gargano having already won their matches earlier. TJP, who was without Taynara Conti this time, had to go in alone against arguably the greatest luchador of all-time. Rey Mysterio was out next, a man who is in need of a victory in Manifest Destiny. Not necessarily to keep his Survivor Series hopes alive because no one is on the verge of elimination just yet, but he's going to need to start racking up momentum as soon as possible before the rest of the field passes him by. And there was a score that Mysterio had to settle with TJP since after his Manifest Destiny match against Andrade 'Cien' Almas in Mexico City, the Catch Point member would ambush the two of them.
The match began with a test of strength that TJP was easily able to win, shoving Mysterio into the ropes. Mysterio took TJP down with a Tilt-a-Whirl Headscissors, Mysterio following up with a Dropkick. TJP rolled out of the ring, trying to take a quick breather. He failed to notice Mysterio standing on the ring apron, and took a Seated Senton upon turning around. Mysterio rolled TJP back into the ring, attempting a Springboard Splash. TJP was able to move out of harm's way, kicking Mysterio in the mid-section before picking him up for a Backbreaker across his right knee. TJP stretched Mysterio's spine over his knee before throwing him back onto the canvas, covering him for a two count. TJP grabbed both of Mysterio's arms and reeled back, trying to keep him grounded with submission holds. Mysterio managed to get to his bounce his feet off of a turnbuckle, falling back onto TJP.
After freeing himself, Mysterio ran toward TJP, only to be thrown onto his shoulders with a Torture Rack. Again, TJP focused on the back of Mysterio, soon sitting him out with an inverted TKO that got him a near-fall. Growing more frustrated, TJP tried to finish Mysterio off with the Detonation Kick, but had it countered into a Hurricanrana. TJP fell against the second rope, Mysterio calling for the 619. However, TJP was able to grab his legs during the attempt, pulling Mysterio away from the ropes and into the Kneebar! TJP applied the hold with all the pressure he could, trying to force Mysterio into submission. Mysterio was close enough to the ropes to be able to reach them and break the hold, which prompted TJP to let go of his grip. TJP pulled Mysterio into the center of the ring, locking his legs and arms in place for a Curb Stomp, kicking Mysterio's face into the canvas! TJP rolled Mysterio over and got the cover, the Curb Stomp good enough to give him his three count. TJ PERKINS IS VICTORIOUS!
Just like with every instance of success TJ Perkins has seen over the last few months, one-half of the SmackDown Tag Team Champions showed that he's willing to do whatever it takes by any means in order to get what he wants. Rey Mysterio just had his face smashed against the mat, but TJP couldn't have cared any less about his well-being. TJP simply took back his championship and walked up the entrance ramp, inserting himself back into first place in a three-way tie now with Sami Zayn and Johnny Gargano.
CODY RHODES MAKES A DEMAND TO POPPY: Backstage, SmackDown Live General Manager Poppy was shown in her office, watching a triumphant TJ Perkins celebrate his victory over Rey Mysterio. "... That man seems strange..." Poppy said to herself before the door opened, Cody and Brandi Rhodes barging. "What the hell was that out there, Poppy?!" Brandi shouted at the General Manager, Cody trying to calm her down. "Poppy doesn't know what the issue is," Poppy said, Cody telling her that he understands she's new to the job, so he doesn't expect her to be exactly skilled at running SmackDown Live. "Here's the thing, Poppy. I know you don't know who I am, but there was a time before you got here that I was the biggest star in this company. I was the WWE Champion. I was the one everyone regarded as the future of WWE. Not Paige. Not Becky Lynch. Not The Iconic Duo. Me, Cody Rhodes. That was my spot, and I'm doing all that I can to reclaim it. So, now that you understand who I am and what I've done, I expect that my wife and I will be treated with just a bit more respect than what you're showing us right about now." Cody then told Poppy that he's not blaming her for his shortcomings on SmackDown Live. "Maybe at this moment, and especially tonight, you are to blame, but this has been happening to me ever since the Draft. I have zero wins as a single competitor on Pay-Per-View. My only real taste of glory came with Sami Zayn, who I just got beaten by. If things don't begin to change for me, then what I might need is a chance of scenery."
"So... here's my request to you, Poppy. No, actually, it's a demand. If I don't win Manifest Destiny, trade me to RAW."
7) MANIFEST DESTINY MATCH: One of Manifest Destiny's perks is the ability to give the WWE Universe match-ups they've never seen before, and this upcoming contest was a prime example of the dream match machine that is this annual tournament. Matt Riddle was the first to make his entrance, bopping his head to his theme song while fist bumping the fans in the front row. "If you look at the current standings for SmackDown Live's block, Matt Riddle is near the bottom. I don't know if it's his care-free, chill attitude that isn't allowing him to succeed, but he needs to start making some changes to his approach to Manifest Destiny if he wants a shot at making the finals at Survivor Series," Nigel McGuinness said, critical of Riddle's performance thus far. Intercontinental Champion Samoa Joe then made his entrance, who wasn't dominated Manifest Destiny the way he thought he would. As of now, Joe is 2-2, and his biggest victory so far came this past Thursday when he ended TJ Perkins' undefeated streak. Joe can go on a winning streak for the first time in the tournament, and all he needs to do is put away 'The King of Bros.'
After the bell sounded, there were actually dueling chants of, "Joe! Joe! Joe! Joe!" and, "Bro! Bro! Bro! Bro!" in the audience. Riddle was amused by the chants while Joe had no response, quickly throwing a jab at the face of Riddle. Joe connected with a few more strikes before Riddle shot a double-leg takedown, bringing Joe down to the mat. Mauro Ranallo noted on commentary that this would be as ground-and-pound as professional wrestling gets since Joe and Riddle are two the best technicians in the game today. Riddle tried to keep Joe grounded, smacking him with open-palm strikes to the forehead. Joe grabbed Riddle's arm and went for an Armbar, Riddle able to roll his way out of it and nearly seize an opening for the Bromission. Joe stood to his feet while Riddle was still down, leaping onto him with a Senton. Joe struck Riddle a few times before giving him a Headbutt, going for a Coquina Clutch afterward. Riddle was able to grab Joe's left leg and attempt an Ankle Lock that Joe had to reach the ropes in order to break.
As Joe used the ropes to get to his feet, Riddle charged into him with a jumping knee strike to the side of his head. Riddle turned the dazed Joe around and managed to pick him up off his feet for a German Suplex, bridging into a pinning combination that gave him a two count. Riddle picked Joe's head up, attempting another knee strike. This time, however, Joe was able to catch Riddle's knee, lifting him up onto the top turnbuckle. Joe caught Riddle upside the head with an Enziguri before putting him in position for the Muscle Buster, driving him into the canvas with it. Joe got the cover on Riddle, putting him down to further his own Manifest Destiny aspirations. SAMOA JOE IS VICTORIOUS!
Perhaps an unexpected method of victory for Samoa Joe since everyone in the WWE Universe expected the Intercontinental Champion to battle Matt Riddle in a submission-based encounter. While that was the case for the most part, it was a Muscle Buster that spelled the end for 'The King of Bros.' Joe was handed back the Intercontinental Championship, 'The Samoan Submission Machine' raising the gold that he believes will be joined by the WWE Championship come the Royal Rumble after he wins Manifest Destiny. Joe improves to 3-2, and while he's not in first place, he does have the same amount of points as those who currently sit in the top spot. The field is still wide open and very much Joe's to take control of if he can continue his winning ways.
8) MANIFEST DESTINY MATCH: The final Manifest Destiny match-up for the evening brings together two of the most decorated competitors in WWE history. Kurt Angle's entrance music sounded as the Olympic Gold Medalist walked out onto the stage, actually encouraging the, "You suck!" chants that have been a staple of his character for over a decade. Angle smiled on his way to the ring like he isn't the only participant in the SmackDown Live block who is still without a win, but perhaps that can all change tonight if he is to be better than 'The Best in the World.' Angle waited in the ring as CM Punk made his entrance ramp, one-half of the SmackDown Tag Team Champions having the opportunity to create a four-way tie for first place along with not only his partner in TJ Perkins, but also Johnny Gargano and Sami Zayn. "It's strange to think that losing to Kurt Angle would be considered an embarrassment, but you know that's how Punk would view it, given Angle's win-loss record at this stage," Nigel McGuinness said.
The opening seconds of the match saw Angle attempt to take Punk down to the canvas, Punk able to remain standing on his feet. He backed Angle into a corner, catching him with an elbow strike to the side of his head. Angle had to blink his eyes a few times, clearly feeling the affects of the strike. Punk gave Angle no time to recover as he charged into him with a running knee, but the follow-up Running Bulldog was nearly countered into an Angle Slam. Punk, however, was able to land on his feet, trying for a Roundhouse Kick. Angle was able to catch Punk's leg, looking for the Ankle Lock. Punk kicked Angle away and into the ropes, taking him down with a leaping Clothesline. 'The Best in the World' brought Angle up to a seated position on the canvas, kicking him twice in his back before running toward him with a PK to the chest. Punk covered Angle, but was not yet able to secure the win.
Punk noticed Angle's heavy breathing, the Olympic Gold Medalist already feeling winded. In Punk's mind, this sort of performance from an adversary was beneath him, especially considering he's spent the last number of months competing in high-pressure situations against some of the best wrestlers in WWE, both male and female. In Angle's current stage, though, Punk couldn't help but see this match as a joke. Punk was looking to just put Angle out of his misery already, picking him up for a Go To Sleep. Angle fought his way out of it and planted Punk with a German Suplex, holding onto Punk's waist to execute two more. Angle rose to his feet and pulled down his straps, applying the Ankle Lock. Punk was nearly on the verge of defeat before rolling forward, throwing Angle out of the ring. As Angle got to his feet, Punk jumped onto him with a Suicide Dive. Punk threw Angle back into the squared circle, connecting with a Roundhouse Kick and Go To Sleep combination that successfully gave Punk the victory. CM PUNK IS VICTORIOUS!
And just like that, the Manifest Destiny match-ups for the night were over. CM Punk stood to his feet and was handed back the SmackDown Tag Team Championship, staring down at the fallen Angle. While this win didn't come as easily as Punk predicted, it was clear that he was still facing a shell of Angle's former self. Angle remains winless in the tournament, and it's hard to imagine he'll ever get one considering the caliber of competitors he still has yet to face off against. As for Punk, this victory creates a four-way tie for first place. Johnny Gargano needed Punk, TJ Perkins and Sami Zayn to lose their matches in order to have the top spot all to himself. They all won, which leaves the field as open as it could possibly be when it comes to determining the two SmackDown Live superstars who will go on to Survivor Series to compete against two RAW superstars in the finals.
"I AM THE MAN I AM BECAUSE OF THOSE I'M SCARED OF LOSING": At last, the time had arrived for the main event of the evening. The second of two Hell in a Cell matches, and while the last one was for an opportunity at the WWE Championship, this one is for the gold itself. We cut to a video package with "Magazines" by Chapter and Verse playing. The video started with the news report from WWE's social media platforms that WWE Champion Paige was attacked in a hotel the morning after SummerSlam, and for a while, the identity of the culprits was left a mystery. "In what could be the final moments, you're finally alive after all this time of being so fragile." A private investigator by the name of Kevin Condron was hired to look into the matter, and his findings - mixed in with some public events - insinuated that The Iconic Duo were behind the attack. Their name was finally cleared when Nikki Bella announced at a press conference for Total Bellas that she and her sister, Brie, were the assailants. Later on, Brie's innocence was proven when she released a statement that confirmed she didn't know Nikki's whereabouts the day after SummerSlam, making it entirely possible that she and someone else committed the attack. At Unison, Nikki would confront Paige after the latter's Deathmatch against Allie, and just when Paige had Nikki cornered, John Cena came to her rescue. And with, Cena and Nikki were revealed as the true attackers. "I am the man I am because of those I'm scared of losing!" During an edition of The Cutting Edge at SmackDown's 15th Anniversary Show, Cena broke his silence and gave the truth to Paige and the WWE Universe. Allie had initially planted the idea of doing something to Paige into the mind of Nikki, and she needed Cena's help carrying out the attack. Acknowledging that the end of his career isn't that far off, Cena prioritized a future with Nikki over his reputation, and went through with the attack for Nikki's sake. "I thought I'd bring homely mementos 'cause you are just a girl. New to this sterile world. My timing wasn't right, and that selfish waster thinks that I'm a fool for all this time." Paige lashed out at Cena, which caused him to unveil something about the WWE Champion that she was keeping to herself. When Paige's contract with WWE expires next April, she's not re-signing. She'll be leaving the company for good, and Cena used that as evidence that Paige is giving up on not only herself, but everyone who has ever supported her. Paige had no rebuttal to Cena's claim, and in fact, she still hasn't publicly addressed the rumors. Tonight, Paige and Cena will finally collide one-on-one for the first time ever, and the stakes couldn't be any higher. It's inside of Hell in a Cell. It's for the WWE Championship. And it's Paige's opportunity to prove that she is the one true face of the WWE, even if she is indeed leaving sooner than later. "So when I think of all my fears of you fading. Well, thinking of leaving is something I'd never do. I bought magazines to help you believe there's life outside of this box. When things get worse, we... we're kinder, I've learnt."
9) HELL IN A CELL MATCH FOR THE WWE CHAMPIONSHIP: At the sound of John Cena's entrance music, his usual mixed reaction emerged from the audience members in St. Louis, though the boos were a lot more vindictive than normal. Cena walked out through the curtain, not smiling nor giving his patented pep talk to the camera. He simply looked out at the WWE Universe before walking down toward the ring, entering the Hell in a Cell structure that he'd become all too familiar with. "John Cena is, for my money, the greatest big match competitor in the history of WWE. This could be a scenario where the challenger actually holds the advantage over the champion. Not that Paige hasn't proven herself in high-pressure situations, but she's never faced anyone who handles adversity better than Cena," Rob Naylor said. If you compare Cena's entrance to that if Allie's and Becky Lynch's from earlier, he didn't bring any weapons with him. He's not showing any signs of anxiousness. He's as stone-faced as anyone in his position could be because he's not afraid of what can happen to him. When Cena's entrance music silence, Paige's began playing. For the first time ever, the reaction for 'Princess Anarchist' was split down the middle. Paige still had the undying support of many WWE Universe members, but there were a lot of audience members who are feeling betrayed by her silence in regard to her contract situation. If Paige had nothing to hide, she would've cleared up the rumors when Cena first brought them up. But the fact that she has yet to say anything leads fans to believe that she is indeed leaving WWE come April. Paige headed out to the stage, carrying with her two light tubes and a backpack that likely contains even more malicious items. The last time Paige competed in the Scottrade Center, it was at Extreme Rules on May 19th, 2013. The night that she and AJ Lee changed WWE forever with the first Last Diva Standing Match. And to make this match even more poetic, the last time Paige competed inside Hell in a Cell, she became the first woman to ever main event WrestleMania. Her career highlights speak for themselves. She's truly one of the greatest of all-time, and now, she's facing off against maybe the greatest to ever do it.
"... Just look at how they're breathing. Cena's demeanor is completely normal, whereas Paige is inhaling and exhaling quicker than I've ever seen another human do," Nigel McGuinness said, trying to get across just how nervous Paige was compared Cena. It was entirely possible that the split reaction was elevating her anxiety. Cena is used to the hate, while this is uncharted territory for Paige. Aside from the brief stint in The Wyatt Family, Paige has never been viewed before as the bad guy, but she's brought this on herself by not being honest with the WWE Universe. If she self-destructs, it's her own fault.
When Paige walked through the Hell in a Cell door, the official went to lock it. Paige, however, set down her lights tubes and shoved the official, taking the chain for herself. What Paige just did was leave the door unlocked in favor of seizing another weapon she could punish Cena with. After Paige got into the ring, she wrapped the chain around her right hand, urging Cena to fight her. Cena stood still, knowing that would only increase Paige's anxiety. The WWE Champion went ahead and made the first move, trying to strike Cena with the chain. Cena put his left hand up and stopped Paige's hand, immediately bringing her onto his shoulders for an Attitude Adjustment! Paige rolled toward the ropes while Cena remained standing, showing Paige that she might have gotten herself into a situation where even having weapons at her disposal won't save her. Paige took the chain in her hand and tried again, but Cena was still above to overpower her. Paige found herself on Cena's shouldest yet again, only this time, she freed herself by raking his eyes. When Paige got back onto the canvas, she hit Cena with a low blow. Cena dropped to his knees, Paige taking the chain and catching Cena in between the eyes with it. She delivered a few more strikes to the head of Cena, opening a wound on his forehead that she continuously targeted. Cena stirred to his feet, Paige connecting the first Antithesis of the match. Just like when Cena hit his finishing maneuver, Paige didn't go for a cover. Instead, she let Cena get back to his feet, making sure he knows what he's gotten himself into.
When Cena was back up, Paige ran full-speed at him to deliver more strikes, Cena managing to lift her up and throw her out of the ring. Paige landed on the ring apron before falling onto the floor, Cena going after her. Paige quickly looked underneath the ring, bringing out a steel chair that she threw at Cena. However, Cena was able to catch it before throwing it back to Paige, connecting with the top of her head. Cena took Paige and rammed her into one of the Cell walls. Afterward, Cena took apart the steel steps and set down the bottom portion, picking Paige up for another Attitude Adjustment. Paige managed to latch onto the ropes and put herself on the ring apron, kicking Cena once in the face. Paige then jumped off the apron with a Foot Stomp onto Cena and the steel steps! Paige struggled to put Cena back into the ring, but used every bit of strength she could to do so. She then took the two light tubes she brought down to the ring with her, stalking Cena with one of them. Paige swung the light tube at Cena, who dodged the shot. Cena then tried striking Paige, but she was able to avoid those as well. Paige then kicked Cena in his right knee, bringing him down onto it. The WWE Champion put the light tube against Cena's forehead, breaking it with a headbutt! For the first time in his career, Cena took a light tube shot. And the result was Paige busting herself open, but the defending WWE Champion didn't seem to care. She took the other light tube and cracked it across Cena's back, gaining the upper-hand in shocking fashion.
Already plotting her next step, Paige took the backpack that had become synonymous with her most brutal matches to date. The WWE Universe expected thumbtacks, but Paige ended up pouring out shards of glass instead. She set the shards down onto the canvas before heading to the top rope. The dazed Cena staggered into the center of the ring, stopping himself once he saw the glass pieces. He then turned around and had Paige flying toward him with Meteora, but Cena acted quickly and caught Paige in mid-air. Cena put her into position for a Powerbomb, dropping Paige's back onto the glass! Paige rolled off of the shards, plenty of them remaining stuck in her skin as she screamed out in agony. Deciding to punish Paige even more as opposed to finishing the match right there and then, Cena placed Paige on his right shoulder and carried her out of the Cell structure. The two made their way over to the announce tables, Cena trying to throw Paige through one just like he did at SmackDown 15. Instead, Paige was able to break free and take one of the monitors, leveling Cena in the head with it. For good measures, Paige struck Cena again with the monitor, knocking him out across one of the announce tables. Paige took a moment to catch her breath before realizing she was in a familiar spot. Back at WrestleMania, she had Bray Wyatt in the same position, and what did she do? She scaled the Cell and jumped off of it. Paige looked up the Cell wall, internally telling herself that if she was brave enough to try this once, she could do it again. "No, no, Paige. Please don't," Mauro Ranallo said while Paige climbed to the top of the Cell structure. After reaching the roof, Paige stood near the edge and glanced down at Cena, who still had yet to move off of the table. The last time Paige tried this, she crashed and burned. Now, she was convinced that she could take out Cena with this, and if she failed and got hurt, so what? It's not like the WWE Universe would care, given that plenty of its members have turned against her.
Just as Paige was about to take the leap of faith, she looked over her shoulder and saw Nikki Bella climbing the other side of the Hell in a Cell. Nikki made it to the top, Paige taking her sights off of Cena to go after her. Paige fired away with strikes to the face of Nikki, who delivered a knee strike to her mid-section. After Paige crumbled, Nikki stomped on her back, which still had shards of glass stuck sticking out of it. Paige was face down on the Cell wall, Nikki grabbing her with the intention of throwing her off. However, that was not to be as Billie Kay, who defeated Nikki at the start of the show to become SmackDown Women's Champion, headed out to ringside through the audience and began climbing the side of the Cell where the announce tables were. During all of this, Cena managed to remove himself from the surface of the table. Nikki climbed down the Cell wall to meet Billie halfway near the top, the two women exchanging blows while hanging onto the Cell. With every strike, it looked as if either were about to fall, but they managed to hold on. Billie and Nikki then grabbed each other by the hair, slamming their faces into the Cell wall. That caused both women to lose their grip and fall off the Cell wall, crashing through the announce tables below!
Billie and Nikki lied motionless over the remains of the two announce tables, Paige looking down from the top of the Cell to realize that her best friend had just taken the plunge after saving her from Nikki. Paige's expression was that of sorrow and regret rather than the anxiousness that had turned into rage during the course of the match. Paige slowly climbed down the Cell and checked on Billie, putting aside the fact that there was still a WWE Championship match taking place. Billie's eyes were open and she was conscious, but could barely help herself up. Paige brought Billie up to her feet and assisted her toward the entrance ramp, trying to get the new SmackDown Women's Champion to safety before resuming the Hell in a Cell Match. However, Cena caught up to the two of them, taking them out with Clotheslines to the back of their heads. Cena took Paige back into the ring, hoping to finish off 'Princess Anarchist' and become the new WWE Champion. Cena took two steel chairs before looking underneath the ring, finding a pane of glass that was left over from the previous Hell in a Cell Match. Cena made a table-like contraption with the chairs and glass pane, but before he could do anything to Paige, Billie hurried into the ring. She tried going after Cena, but was still too weak from the table spot to fight back. Cena was seemingly going to put Billie through the glass pane instead of Paige, and that was when the WWE Universe suddenly came alive. Peyton Royce, who had been medically suspended for the past month, ran into the ring and took Cena down with a Thesz Press! "Billie Kay's wife has just saved her from John Cena!" Ranallo exclaimed while Peyton pulverized Cena with stikes, Billie soon joining in as The Iconic Duo took the fight to Cena! Billie and Peyton nearly had Paige's attack pinned on them, an attack that Cena had a hand in committing. He and Nikki were willing to let The Iconic Duo take the blame, and now, they were extracting every bit of revenge that they had built up inside of them. Billie and Peyton were then able to lift Cena into position for a double-team Powerbomb, the latter having to do most of the work carrying him. Just like what happened to AJ Lee at SummerSlam, Cena was driven through the pane of glass! Billie fell back onto the canvas after exhausting all of her energy, Peyton catching her and making sure she was alright. Paige then noticed her opening and covered Cena, the official making the three count! PAIGE IS STILL WWE CHAMPION!
She did it.
She really f***ing did it.
Paige just defeated John Cena to retain the WWE Championship inside of Hell in a Cell.
Paige used the ropes to help herself to her feet while the fans in St. Louis were unsure how to react. By the end of the match-up, Cena was clearly the more loathed of the two competitors, but Paige took advantage of the beatdown that The Iconic Duo handed out. Paige was handed the WWE Championship as she raised it into the air, both Billie Kay and Peyton Royce staring at her. Billie was clearly happy for Paige, while Peyton's response wasn't measurable by her blank stare. Nigel McGuinness said on commentary that he hopes this occurrence opens everyone's eyes to Paige's true nature. "When she used The Iconic Duo to her advantage at SummerSlam, everyone brushed it off as a heat of the moment thing. But now, she just used them again in order to defeat John Cena. Paige didn't do anything to deserve this win. Billie and Peyton did all of the work. Paige just came in at the last second and picked up the scraps." Whether or not Paige's win is tainted is left up to the WWE Universe to decide, but what they won't be able to argue is the fact that Paige is still the WWE Champion and has defeated potentially the greatest WWE superstar of all-time.

"She's A God" by Neck Deep
As we wake up she begins curling up to me in her underwear And she looks at me with her eyes like planets in a solar flare She gets dressed, she looks her best with her hair like, everywhere And it comes to me in a moment of clarity
She's a god She's a freak like Madonna She's a god Carry me to nirvana She's a god Gimme peace, gimme dharma She's the one Swear to god, she's the one She's a god
And everybody's like "Oh wow, tell me now, how'd you get so spiritual? Did you go Far East, see the temples and find yourself? Grow your hair out?" And I'm like "Hell nah, I've got a girl, she performs miracles Are you cynical cuz I'm her only believer But she's nothin' like Jesus?"
She's a god She's a freak like Madonna She's a god Carry me to nirvana She's a god Gimme peace, gimme dharma She's the one Swear to god, she's the one She's a god
She's a god And she walks amongst us on her way to work I'm her chosen one She's my deity And she's saving me
She's a god She's a freak like Madonna She's a god
She's a god She's a freak like Madonna She's a god Carry me to nirvana She's a god Gimme peace, gimme dharma She's the one Swear to god, oh yeah
Cuz I'm blinded by my faith for my babe Cuz she's the reason, the reason I say I've seen the light burst into colour She is the sun, she is the thunder

Hell in a Cell had come to a close, and so did Paige's chapter against John Cena and Nikki Bella. Against all of the odds, and with the WWE Universe showing partial resentment toward her, Paige managed to defeat Cena and hold onto the WWE Championship. She wasn't left unscathed, though, as made evident by the blood on her forehead and glass bits stuck in her skin. Billie Kay, the new SmackDown Women's Champion who took the plunge halfway from the top of the Cell structure through a table, was also battered. With Peyton Royce's assistance, Paige and Billie headed to the trainer's room after the show to be checked out. The trio were met there by SmackDown Live General Manager, Poppy.
Paige: "I f*cking did it, Poppy!"
Poppy: "What does 'f*cking' mean?"
Paige: "... Nothing, Poppy. I'm just completely psyched out of my mind right now."
Adrenaline was still flowing through Paige. She had yet to come down after her win over Cena.
Poppy: "Well, Poppy found the match to be entertaining. You did well, Paige. You too, Billie."
Billie: "Thank you."
Poppy: "I brought a gift for you all to congratulate you on your wins."
Paige: "What is it?"
Poppy: "Well, Poppy is a fan of video games since they're programmed similarly to how I am."
Peyton: "You're... you're programmed?"
Poppy: "Everybody is programmed. Poppy didn't know that the WWE has their own video games, so I was able to get an early copy of their newest one. But I couldn't get enough for everybody, so you three will have to share."
Paige: "Thanks, Poppy, but I don't play video games."
Peyton: "And neither do I... but, Billie does."
Poppy tilted her head toward Billie, who was having her back checked by the medical team at that moment. They handed her an ice pack while Poppy took the copy of WWE 2K15 out from a bag.
What everyone in the room seemed to have forgotten was just who is on the cover of the game this year, so when Billie stuck her hand out to retrieve the copy, she was staring at a box art that featured AJ Lee.
Billie: "You f*cking joking me, mate?!"
Poppy: "It's that word again."
Billie: "Why would you give this to me?!?"
Poppy: "Poppy is confused. You asked for the game."
Billie: "And you didn't think to realize that maybe I didn't need to see this?!"
Billie threw both the ice pack and game box onto the floor, screaming at Poppy while Peyton tried calming her down.
Peyton: "Billie! Billie! Billie!"
Billie: "... ... ..."
Peyton: "She doesn't know who that is."
Poppy had no ill intentions when handing the copy of WWE 2K15 to Billie, and the new SmackDown Women's Champion only seemingly realized that once Peyton reminded her that Poppy doesn't know AJ. Peyton helped set Billie back onto the bed in the trainer's room, Paige taking Poppy out into the hallway to explain the situation to her.
Paige: "... You didn't do anything wrong."
Poppy: "... Poppy feels like she did."
Paige: "You didn't know. It's not your fault. The thing is that... that girl on the cover is AJ Lee, and she's done some really, really bad things to Billie. And Peyton. And me."
Poppy: "What kind of things."
Paige: "Just... uh... things that you're really not supposed to do to another person. Things that leave them scarred mentally, and that's why Billie had the reaction she did."
Poppy: "Where is AJ now?"
Paige: "... I don't know. No one does. And I think things are better off that way."
When Paige was about to leave, Poppy stopped her.
Poppy: "Poppy almost forgot to mention this. Someone named Vince McMahon called my office phone during Hell in a Cell."
God, she's so new and clueless to this company.
Poppy: "He said that he needs to speak with you, but he can't wait until SmackDown Live on Thursday. So, he wants you backstage at RAW tomorrow."
Paige already knew what Vince wanted to talk to her about. He's going to try to persuade her to renew her contract, but she is still set on leaving next April. When she confronts Vince tomorrow, she has to stick to her guns and tell him that there's nothing he nor anyone else can do to change her mind.
Paige: "... I'll worry about all of this glass and blood later. I'll talk to you on Thursday."
Poppy: "Have a good f*cking night, Paige."
As Paige headed toward the women's locker room area that was already practically cleared out since she was the last woman on the Hell in a Cell card, the WWE Champion stopped to sit on a bench and reflect on everything that happened tonight. She stood toe-to-toe with arguably the greatest WWE superstar of all-time and defeated him. Even if she did have assistance from The Iconic Duo, the record for the rest of time will read that she beat Cena, and that's all that matters. She's still the WWE Champion. This fairytale run that so many people viewed as unrealistic was still going on, and she's about to head into her second "Big 4" Pay-Per-View as the reigning champion.
On top of all that, Billie was now the SmackDown Women's Champion. It was an occurrence that Paige couldn't think about too much while preparing for Cena, but now that everything was over, she had the time to think about what Billie's win means to her. Someone who she watched struggle for years to even get noticed by WWE was now carrying SmackDown Live's women's division as its champion. It meant a lot to Paige, and she had yet to really take the time to congratulate Billie. So, that's what she was about to do.
Paige's text message to Billie: "Hey, I've got some time now to just clear my head and think about what happened tonight. So the first thing I want to do is tell you how proud I am of you. SmackDown Women's Champion. You. It's your name in the lights now. Right there next to mine. We run this sh*t now, and there's no one else who I'd rather have by my side than you. I know that things between us have been changing as of late, but no matter what happens, I'll always be here for you. Got that? Always. Forever and ever because I love you, Billie. I love you."
None of Paige's words were platonic. She knew exactly what she was trying to do, and that's get in bed again with a married woman.
"What If I'm Right?" by Get Scared
They'd love to call the search off For me to go away Just sweep me under the rug Then no ones takes the blame They wanna fill my head up And scare me half to death And when I bought what they want I'm there with nothing left
How can you stand up and say With a straight face That nothings wrong with me That nothings wrong with me I don't think they've got a clue about whats best For anybody else except themselves
I've got a bad bad feeling overwhelming me What if I'm right? What if I'm right? I've got a bad bad feeling overwhelming me What if I'm right? What if I'm right?
They ask me why I'm nervous? Why I appear so tense The pills offset each other So I'm not making sense Give me one more dosage To cure dependency If I could ween myself off You'll never hear from me
How can you stand up and say With a straight face That nothings wrong with me That nothings wrong with me I don't think they've got a clue about whats best For anybody else except themselves
I've got a bad bad feeling overwhelming me What if I'm right? What if I'm right? I've got a bad bad feeling overwhelming me What if I'm right? What if I'm right?
Paranoia, mass delusion Stay confused and in the dark Someday things will change Self-destruction Lack of function Fear cannot control us all Blinded by your greed But we will make you see The factories are burning The medication fades My lungs are finally open And I can finally sleep
I've got a bad bad feeling overwhelming me What if I'm right? What if I'm right? I've got a bad bad feeling overwhelming me What if I'm right? What if I'm right?
Later that night, Paige was taking an Uber back to her hotel, where she intended to get as much sleep as she could before taking a rental car from St. Louis to Indianapolis for RAW. She kept imagining the conversation that she's going to have Vince McMahon tomorrow, playing out almost every thinkable scenario in her mind. She wondered if Vince could just decide to fire her on the spot instead of letting her finish her contract, but given the caliber of a superstar she is and the impact she has on revenue, she didn't think that was likely to happen.
Every few seconds, Paige would look down at her phone, hoping to receive a text or call back from Billie after the message she sent her earlier. The WWE Champion knew that Billie was likely still with Peyton, which irked her, but it is what it is. She knew she was playing a dangerous game and there wouldn't be instantaneous results.
Finally, Paige's phone rang. She picked it up frantically, hoping it would be Billie calling. Instead, it was Poppy."
Paige: "... Poppy, it's past midnight. What do you-"
Poppy: "You have to get out! Now!"
Paige: "... What?"
Poppy: "Paige, I just woke up from a nap and suddenly remembered everything! Please listen to me!"
Poppy was talking like a regular person. She wasn't speaking in third person or with the tone of a child.
Paige: "Poppy, what are you doing? What's wrong with you? Why do you sound normal?"
Poppy: "You're about to die!"
Paige: "... ... ..."
Poppy: "Paige, I know it sounds crazy, but I've seen this before! You're in an Uber right now, right?!"
Paige: "... Yeah..."
Poppy: "Something really bad is about to happen! I don't know exactly what because I'm starting to lose the vision, but if you don't get out of the car right now, you'll be dead in the next ten minutes!"
Paige: "... How do you know that?"
Poppy: "Because I'm from the future! I've seen this already!"
Paige: "... ... ... Poppy, shut up."
Paige didn't know what was going on or why Poppy was so scared on the phone, but she knew that it all had to be some sort of a joke. There's no way Poppy is from the future and has seen Paige's death play out before........
........ Right?

Poppy: "Paige! I'm being serious! Get out! Now!"
There was absolutely no reason for Paige to believe in Poppy's plea to get out of the car and save herself. There's no way Poppy is actually from the future. This is all some sort of joke. Time travel isn't real. Poppy is strange, sure, but she's not a world line dweller.
But even if she's lying, it might be worth seeing this through, just to see if Paige can figure out why Poppy is behaving this way.
Paige quickly asked the Uber drive to stop the car. She then took out all of the cash she had on her - a few hundred dollars - and threw them at the driver to make up for having to cancel the trip.
The WWE Champion grabbed her bags and got away from the car, staying on the phone with Poppy.
Paige: "Okay, now what? What I do?"
Poppy: "Go into the alley across the street. Keep walking until you're at the end. Stay there and don't say another word until I tell you that you can."
... How did Poppy know that Paige was across the street from an alley?
Paige didn't have the time to ask herself any questions, though. She simply followed Poppy's instructions.
While Paige was walking down the alley, she could hear what sounded like a car crash from behind her. Was that her Uber? Is that what Poppy meant about her dying? And if so, how the hell would Poppy know that was going to happen.
Once Paige reached the end of the alley, she remained in the shadows, keeping quiet. She could hear in the distance car doors opening, but no particular voices.
About two minutes later, Paige heard a car driving away.
Paige: "... ... ... ..."
Poppy: "... Oh, Paige. Why are you on the phone with me at this hour?"
Paige: "... Poppy... you called me."
Poppy: "Hmm... Poppy has no memory of that."
Paige: "... No... no, Poppy, you can't just do this to me. You called me right now and told me that if I didn't get out of my Uber ride, I was going to die."
Poppy: "Poppy did that?"
Paige: "Yes, you f***ing weirdo!"
Poppy: "But how would Poppy have known that? She can't predict the future."
What the f*** was happening? Why did Poppy suddenly have no memory of calling Paige? And what happened to her normal voice? Why was she back to talking like a robot?
When Paige tried getting more answers out of Poppy, the call ended. Poppy had hung up the phone.
Paige stared at her phone screen in complete shock over the events. Poppy likely did save her life, acting as a guardian angel to her. But everything after that...
... Who, or rather what, is Poppy?

"bury a friend"by Billie Eilish Billie
What do you want from me? Why don't you run from me? What are you wondering? What do you know? Why aren't you scared of me? Why do you care for me? When we all fall asleep, where do we go?
(Come here) Say it, spit it out. What is it exactly? You're payin'? Is the amount cleanin' you out? Am I satisfactory? Today, I'm thinkin' about the things that are deadly The way I'm drinkin' you down Like I wanna drown, like I wanna end me
Step on the glass, staple your tongue (ah) Bury a friend, try to wake up (ah-ah) Cannibal class, killing the son (ah) Bury a friend, I wanna end me
I wanna end me I wanna, I wanna, I wanna... end me I wanna, I wanna, I wanna...
What do you want from me? Why don't you run from me? What are you wondering? What do you know? Why aren't you scared of me? Why do you care for me? When we all fall asleep, where do we go?
(Listen) Keep you in the dark. What had you expected? Me to make you my art and make you a star? And get you connected? I'll meet you in the park, I'll be calm and collected But we knew right from the start that you'd fall apart 'Cause I'm too expensive
It's probably somethin' that shouldn't be said out loud Honestly, I thought that I would be dead by now (wow) Calling security, keepin' my head held down Bury the hatchet or bury a friend right now
The debt I owe, gotta sell my soul 'Cause I can't say no, no, I can't say no Then my limbs are frozen, my eyes won't close And I can't say no, I can't say no (Careful)

"Leave Out All the Rest" by Linkin Park
I dreamed I was missing You were so scared But no one would listen 'Cause no one else cared
After my dreaming I woke with this fear What am I leaving When I'm done here?
So if you're asking me I want you to know
When my time comes Forget the wrong that I've done Help me leave behind some Reasons to be missed And don't resent me And when you're feeling empty Keep me in your memory Leave out all the rest Leave out all the rest
Don't be afraid I've taken my beating I've shared what I've made I'm strong on the surface Not all the way through I've never been perfect But neither have you
So if you're asking me I want you to know
When my time comes Forget the wrong that I've done Help me leave behind some Reasons to be missed Don't resent me And when you're feeling empty Keep me in your memory Leave out all the rest Leave out all the rest
Forgetting all the hurt inside You've learned to hide so well Pretending someone else can come And save me from myself I can't be who you are
When my time comes Forget the wrong that I've done Help me leave behind some Reasons to be missed Don't resent me And when you're feeling empty Keep me in your memory Leave out all the rest Leave out all the rest
Forgetting all the hurt inside You've learned to hide so well Pretending someone else can come And save me from myself I can't be who you are I can't be who you are
Monday October 27th,, 2014 St. Louis, Missouri
Paige travelled back to her hotel room in St. Louis to try and get as much sleep as she could before driving to Indianapolis, but after the close call with death she seemingly had just hours ago, that wasn't going to happen. There was still so much about the incident that left Paige with more questions than answers. Why did Poppy talk with a normal voice? How did she know so much about the area without having been there? Why did she revert back to her cartoonish, robot voice? And most of all, how did she know that Paige was in danger? Was Poppy serious about being from the future?
No, she can't be serious about that way. There's no way. Poppy is not a Goddamn time traveler. That s*** only exists in moves and TV shows and whatnot. This can't be a real life thing.
As Paige lied in bed in her hotel room, she kept her phone near her just in case there was a response from Billie Kay to her text message she sent her last night. The waiting period gave the WWE Champion so much anxiety to the point where she couldn't even go on Twitter or Instagram because if she saw any post from Billie between last night and now, it would crush her since that would indicate Billie is ignoring her message.
Paige was going to wait until approximately 9 a.m. before getting out of bed to pack her belongings, but at 8:24, her phone began ringing. The caller I.D. showed that it was Billie.
Paige: "Hey, Billie. What's up?"
Billie: "Have you heard?"
Paige: "Heard what?"
Billie: "Cena retired."
Paige: "... ... ..."
Billie: "... Paige?"
Paige: "... What do you mean Cena retired...?"
Billie: "Go to his Twitter. Now. Call me back when you've seen the video."
As soon as Billie ended the call, Paige opened the Twitter app frantically, thinking that Billie must have been joking or something. She didn't have to scroll far at all to find the video in question since it was the only thing that world of wrestling - and even the outside world - were talking about.
Paige found the video that John Cena posted over an hour ago with the caption, "Thank you."
Cena: "So... this is an announcement that I've given a lot of thought to lately. How am I going to say this? What words am I going to choose? When will I do it? In all honesty, I didn't think it would be today. There were no intentions on my part to have this announcement be this abrupt, but after Hell in a Cell last night, I feel that this is what's meant to happen. I signed with WWE in 2001, and was tucked away in their developmental system. Nowadays, that system is put on display and everyone has the opportunity to watch the men and women down in NXT grow right in front of their eyes. When I was in OVW, it was the most non-luxurious thing you could image for a young kid trying to break into the industry. People like Randy Orton, Dave Batista and Brock Lesnar will tell you the same thing. But I stuck it out because I had a goal of someday getting to the main roster. In 2002, that's exactly what happened. I made my debut on SmackDown and that was my home for three years. I had the chance to work with some of the greatest names in the history of the industry. Kurt Angle. The Undertaker. Eddie Guerrero. Booker T. Rob Van Dam. John 'Bradshaw' Layfield. SmackDown made me into the performer that you all came to both love and hate, so when the brand split was reintroduced earlier this year, I knew that I not only wanted to come back home to the blue brand, but that I also wanted to end my career there. I looked at the landscape of SmackDown Live and couldn't believe the amount of talent on hand. From people like Sami Zayn to Cody Rhodes, to Dean Ambrose, and even to someone like TJ Perkins who isn't a favorable man by any means, but he's still a top notch performer. And then, there was Paige. A woman who I looked at and could see carrying this company for years to come like I did. There was never an ounce jealousy within me toward her. I was proud to hand the torch to Paige... and I had to go and ruin our inevitable encounter by making it personal. I just... I got scared. Scared that if I didn't give Nicole what she wanted, I'd have nothing to look forward to after the end of my career, which I already knew was quickly approaching. I lost all sense of what it's like to be a person outside of the wrestling industry. I need someone there to help me re-adjust to a normal life, so I prioritized her over my reputation. It's something I'll never be able to undo, so I want to take this moment to apologize to anyone who I hurt through my actions. And that includes Paige. If you're watching this, champ... I'm sorry. I truly am. I pissed you off and got exactly what I had coming to me, which is why I'm making this video from a hospital and not the squared circle. Time flies in this industry, especially in WWE where it's just go, go, go at all times. I'm 37 now, but because of the rate that I've been working at for the last 12 years, I physically feel twice my age. There's just no way I can expect myself to keep up with the current talent and style of professional wrestling when I'm in the state that I am. And Paige, I know that you don't think you have much left in you, but I urge you to reconsider your decision to leave WWE next April. If you need to take some time off, then do that. Let yourself heal physically and mentally because that's something that I never allowed myself. Then, come back and pick up right where you left off as the face of the company. I know you're capable of carrying the WWE for the next 10 to 15 years...
... And with all that being said, I hereby officially announce my retirement from professional wrestling. Thank you to all of my friends, family members and colleagues for keeping me motivated, and the WWE Universe for always caring. Whether you cheered me or you booed me, you allowed me to entertain you guys for the best years of my life. Thank you."
Paige: "... ... ... ... ... ..."
Whether Cena intended to or not, he just made it even more difficult for Paige to be able to leave WWE after WrestleMania next year. Cena's words didn't matter to her. She still doesn't want to re-sign, but the company's biggest male star just retired. There's no way any of the higher-ups will let their biggest female star do the same in just five months. They're going to do everything in and beyond their power to force her to stay.
And now, Paige has to head to RAW and meet with a Chairman who just learned that he lost his ace overnight.

"Agree to Disagree" by Sleeping With Sirens
Maybe I should care a little more about what everybody thinks But I just don't have the time for nobody but me The mood I'm in keeps changing like the weather So you can keep the sun 'cause I like the night time better
You think you're better than me You don't like what you see I think it's best we agree to disagree I'm doing fine by myself I never asked for your help I think it's best we agree to disagree
I wear my heart on my sleeve like a worn out sweater But with a needle and some thread I've been keeping it together Life's too short to be worried 'bout whatever So you keep shining in the sun but I like the night time better
You think you're better than me You don't like what you see I think it's best we agree to disagree I'm doing fine by myself I never asked for your help I think it's best we agree to disagree
You think I'm wrong (You think I'm wrong) It doesn't make you right (It doesn't make you right) And now there's no crossing the line Stay on your own side
You think you're better than me You don't like what you see I think it's best we agree to disagree I'm doing fine by myself I never asked for your help I think it's best we agree to disagree Agree to disagree Agree to disagree
Monday October 27th,, 2014 Indianapolis, Indiana
The car ride from St. Louis to Indianapolis was a nightmare for Paige. The WWE Champion spent some of last night thinking about what Vince McMahon could possibly say to her once she confronted him, but with the sudden news of John Cena's retirement, everything changed. Vince was probably in even greater state of panic than he normally is on television days. Every single person in the company was blindsided by Cena's announcement, and apparently, they were also surprised by Paige's presence at RAW. When she walked into the Bankers Life Fieldhouse, everyone stopped and stared at her. Paige knew it wasn't because of the bandages over her forehead cuts before she's been seen like that plenty of times before. They immediately knew what she was there for, and they all steered clear of Vince's office because nobody wanted to be in the vicinity when the two met.
Paige asked around and was able to finally locate Vince's office, taking a deep breath before walking in.
Vince: "Hey, Paige. Please sit down."
Paige: "I'm fine standing."
Vince: "No, you're not. Sit down."
Paige slowly sat down in the chair across from Vince's desk, hoping that complying with a small order like that would make the rest of the conversation easier.
Vince: "... ... ..."
Paige: "... ... ..."
Vince: "... ... ..."
Paige: "... ... ..."
Vince: "... ... Aren't you going to apologize?"
Paige: "... Apologize?"
Vince: "Yeah."
Paige: "For what?"
Vince: "John Cena just quit because of you."
Paige: "... Because of me? You think this is my fault?"
Vince: "The man loses one Hell in a Cell Match to you, and then he's out of here. Gone. Not even a personal message to me. He just announced his retirement on social media out of the blue."
Paige: "Did you even watch the video? He said he knew his retirement was coming up, and it was the injuries in the Hell in a Cell Match that pushed him to that point."
Vince: "And who's responsible for his injuries?"
Paige: "... I'm not taking the blame for this."
Vince: "Well, you should. And the least you can do to make it up to me is sign this."
Vince handed over a folder that had a new contract for her in it.
Paige: "Poppy already showed me that, and I told her I'm not signing it."
Vince: "It's not the same contract. That one had a downside of $1.5 million a year. This is double that."
Paige: "... You're offering me $3 million a year to stay?"
Vince: "Yeah. Do you want more? I can give you more?"
Paige: "No, Vince. This isn't about the money."
Vince: "... How is it not about the money?"
Paige: "Because I don't care about money."
Vince: "... Okay... that's bulls***."
Paige: "I know this might be hard for someone like you to understand, but money isn't everything to me. My well-being comes first, and my time with this company has aged me like f***ing crazy physically and mentally. I can't do this for much longer. That's why I'm leaving."
Vince: "You know that contract doesn't even include what you're making off of merchandise, right?"
Paige: "What does that have to do with anything?"
Vince: "By you just being you, you not only make even more for yourself, but me as well. Ticket sales are up. Ratings are up. Your merch moves like a goddamn wildfire. Why do you think I've been content with you and your opponents spilling blood and guts in my ring? Because every time I allow you to be yourself, you make me richer. You've got an edge to yourself. You’re gritty. You’re a loose cannon. People latch onto that stuff. And that movie of yours that Dwayne is making? Holy s***, I'm gonna make a lot of f***ing money. It's a no-brainer for you to be the face of my company."
Paige: "Cool. I'm nothing more than dollar signs to you. I'm glad to finally know that."
Vince: "Paige, grow up. This is a business, and the number one priority for any good business is to make money. You want an example of how you've contributed to me?"
Paige: "No, but you're gonna tell me anyway."
Vince: "When you were drafted to SmackDown Live, it financially became the 'A Show' for the first time ever. There was so much interest from some of the biggest networks in the world to acquire SmackDown just because of you. A deal was recently inked with Fox that's worth $1 billion dollars. We're moving there in January. This is the biggest TV contract in the history of sports entertainment, and I need you to be the face of the show for years to come. Especially because John Cena won't be there now."
Paige: "... Well... I'm not leaving until April, so I can be your 'face' for three months, if that makes you happy."
Vince: "That's another thing I like about you, Paige. You're a smartass. I like people who show spine and don't back down from me. But, in the end, I always get what I want."
Paige: "Maybe you always have before, but you're not getting what you want from me, Vince. I'm leaving after WrestleMania."
Vince: "To do what? Go back to wrestling in your parents’ run down gym?!”
Paige: “… I’m not going to another company. I’m never wrestling again after I leave here. And you know what else, Vince? I’m taking the WWE Championship with me.”
Paige stood up from her chair to leave the office.
Paige: "So, go ahead and write up any sort of contract you want for me. It doesn't matter the amount of money you attach to it. I'm leaving after WrestleMania and you can't f***ing stop me."
Just as Paige was walking away, Vince called out to her one more time.
Vince: "... If you're so set on leaving, why haven't you told the fans yet? Are you scared they're gonna turn their backs on your like you're doing to them?"
It was a valid question from Vince. Paige still has yet to publicly address her contract situation, and the longer she holds out, the worse the reception from the WWE Universe will become.
That's why she decided to announce tonight on RAW that when her contract expires, she's gone.

October 27th, 2014 | Episode 029 | "Attack on Titan Towers" SMACKDOWN LIVE'S PAIGE KICKS OFF RAW: Coming off the heels of a weekend that saw the superstars of RAW and SmackDown Live settle scores in Hell, the road to Survivor Series commenced with a surprise appearance by WWE Champion Paige. It was made public knowledge that she was backstage in Indianapolis, but no one expected her to actually show up during the broadcast, much less at the start of it. The WWE Universe gave Paige the same mixed reaction she received at Hell in a Cell last night, which is her own fault since she wants to keep everyone in the dark about her contract situation. Paige took a microphone and was about to break her silence, but that's when the entrance music of Vince McMahon sounded. The surprises kept on coming as Vince marched down to the ring, holding with him a contract. "... No, go ahead. Say whatever it is you were going to say," Vince said to Paige, who was thrown off of her rhythm by his presence. Whatever Paige's announcement was, she seemingly wanted to do it on her own terms. As long as Vince was there, she didn't know how often she'd be interrupted since he clearly had an agenda. Without saying a single word, Paige dropped her microphone and exited up the entrance ramp to a chorus of boos from the audience. Vince then said that Paige can continue evading any questions regarding her future with WWE, but as long as she's still under contract, he has the final say in what goes on in her professional career. "I'm going to come back out here tonight, Paige, and I expect you to join me. And if you don't tell these people exactly what is going on with you and your contract status, I will. It's up to you how we do this."
1) ROMAN REIGNS (4-2) DEF. DREW MCINTYRE (5-1) via Spear. Drew McIntyre remained undefeated in Manifest Destiny after defeating Daniel Bryan at Hell of War on Saturday, but Roman Reigns pulled off what should be seen as a shocking upset here tonight by Spearing McIntyre after a failed Claymore attempt, securing the win. McIntyre suffered his first loss since returning to Monday Night RAW two months, and while he's still in first place for the time being, Reigns is right behind him and now holds a tiebreaker over 'The Scottish Psychopath.'
2) DAKOTA KAI DEF. TESSA BLANCHARD AND BAYLEY IN A TRIPLE THREAT MATCH via Kairopractor to Tessa. As announced by Dario Cueto during Hell of War, in two weeks at Giants Among Commonwealth Night 1, there will be an Elimination Chamber Match for the RAW Women's Championship. The six participants have been split into two Triple Threat Matches here tonight, with the two winners meeting next week to determine who will enter the Chamber last. Dakota Kai was able to secure her spot in the match next week, and she now waits for the result of Charlotte Flair, Asuka and RAW Women's Champion Sasha Banks' encounter tonight.
TYE DILLINGER IS WELCOMED INTO LET THERE BE LIGHT: At this time, Let There Be Light headed down to the ring as one after besting The Wyatt Tribe in a Cero Miedo Match at Hell of War. Lead by the new Universal Champion AJ Styles, the group walked through the hostile environment in Indianapolis. Not only was Styles flanked by The Young Bucks and Lacey Evans, but also Tye Dillinger, who made his RAW debut on Saturday by attacking Pentagon and aiding Styles in his win. Styles took a microphone and said that just like every other time before, God did not let him down. "Not that Pentagon was ever going to snap my arm in the Cero Miedo Match, but just to be safe, the good Lord above sent another blessing my way. Actually, he didn't just send the right blessing. He sent a... 'Perfect' blessing..." Styles then handed the microphone off to Dillinger, who had a lot of explaining to do regarding his actions. 'The Perfect Ten' stated that all throughout his wrestling career up to this point, he relied on the fans to fuel his passion for the industry. "You know, it should've clicked in my head that you people are not the answer when I was fired from WWE the first time. When I re-signed with this company and joined NXT, I did everything in my power to try and connect with the WWE Universe. And to give some bit of credit to all of you, it was that connection that you all had with 'The Perfect Ten' that helped me capture the NXT Championship in Chicago a few months ago. But after that, I learned that the admiration of the fans might have gotten me somewhere, but that's not going to help me stay where I wanted to be, nor advance to where I needed to be. I suffered an injury and needed to vacate the NXT Title. That's when I learned who truly has my back. For a few days, it was nothing but get well wishes on social media. Maybe a fan letter here and there, but after a short period of time, everything just stopped. You people forgot about me and moved on. Like I never existed. No more 'Ten' chants. No more nice messages. Everything was gone and I didn't know what for. That's when I decided to turn to God instead of the WWE Universe to give me the answers I needed. And unlike any of you people, he listened to me! He helped me through my recovery! He gave me the guidance that I needed! So, when AJ Styles called for any of God's children to join him in this journey to bring light to Monday Night RAW, I knew that's the calling God intended for me." Dillinger is officially part of Let There Be Light, but Styles said that with the group now extended to five members, he wants to finish off The Wyatt Tribe once and for all. Hell of War was only the beginning of the end for them. If they can find two partners, Let There Be Light wants them in a 5-on-5 Elimination Match at Survivor Series.
3) UNITED STATES CHAMPION SETH ROLLINS (3-3) DEF. THE MIZ (3-3) via God's Last Gift. After Miz kicked out of a Curb Stomp, Seth Rollins had to dig deeper into his arsenal and pull out God's Last Gift, a maneuver that we had not seen him use in some time. Rollins moves ahead to 3-3, and is still in the race to make it to the finals at Survivor Series.
A CHAMPION VS. CHAMPION MATCH IS SET: Backstage, WWE Champion Paige was shown sitting on a crate, thinking to herself and perhaps trying to figure out the words to say to both Vince McMahon and the WWE Universe later on tonight. She was then approached by Let There Be Light, AJ Styles speaking out against her. Styles said that he's glad to represent Monday Night RAW as someone who leads by example, whereas Paige is making a mockery out of the industry over on SmackDown Live. "I stand for everything that the scripture intends for us. Let's look at your résumé as a human, shall we? Let's see, there's abortion, violence against others, you brought two women together in an inhumane marriage. What else do we not know about? Drugs? Premarital sex? What kind of message are you trying to share?" Styles asked, Paige responding that she's not going to let someone on a religious high horse try to critique her life. Styles could read that Paige was looking to fight him, so he laid out a challenge for a champion vs. champion match. "We can even do it in your backyard at Giants Among Commonwealth. How about it then?" Paige accepted the challenge, making it official. In Wembley Stadium on Sunday November 9th, WWE Champion vs. Universal Champion. Let There Be Light then left the scene, or at least everyone except for Tye Dillinger, who glared at Paige the entire time. "... What the hell are you staring at?" Paige asked Dillinger, who finally walked away from her afterward.
4) CHARLOTTE FLAIR DEF. RAW WOMEN'S CHAMPION SASHA BANKS AND ASUKA IN A TRIPLE THREAT MATCH with Natural Selection to Asuka. In the second of two Triple Threat Matches in the women's division tonight, Charlotte Flair cut off Asuka's attempt to place Sasha Banks in the Asuka Lock, driving her face-first into the canvas with Natural Selection to get the victory. Charlotte will now meet Dakota Kai next week with the winner entering the Elimination Chamber Match last at Giants Among Commonwealth Night 1.
UPDATE ON ALEXA BLISS AND EMMA: Briefly recapping the events of the Hell of War Match this past Saturday, Mauro Ranallo noted on commentary that both Alexa Bliss and Emma are recovering from their injuries, and both women will be out of action for the time being. Alexa will make her return in time for her Universal Championship match against AJ Styles at TLC: Tables, Ladders and Chairs in her home town of Columbus, while there is no set date yet on the return of Emma.
5) KEVIN OWENS (4-2) DEF. DANIEL BRYAN (4-2) via Stunner. Daniel Bryan's Manifest Destiny took yet another turn for the worse after losing to Kevin Owens, suffering defeat for the second match in a row after starting off undefeated. Owens now ties Bryan for 2nd place along with Roman Reigns.
VINCE MCMAHON ATTEMPTS TO RE-SIGN PAIGE BY ANY MEANS...: In the closing segment of RAW, Vince McMahon walked back down to the ring to give WWE Champion Paige the opportunity to address the WWE Universe regarding the rumors centered around her contract. Had Paige not joined Vince in the ring, the Chairman would've done it himself. 'Princess Anarchist' stepped into the squared circle, taking her own microphone instead of being handed the one Vince was offering her. Vince still had a new contract for Paige in his possession, the WWE Champion opting to go ahead and tell the fans the truth before Vince could have the chance to say anything. "... Yes... after WrestleMania, I will be leaving WWE. It's nothing that any of you did, so please understand that much. I get that a lot of you feel hurt, but this job is literally hurting me and any future I could hope to have. I thought I was invincible. I didn't think anything bad could happen to me. This brand of hardcore, Deathmatch wrestling, whatever you want to call it... it's taking its toll on me much quicker that I thought it would. And mentally, I don't know if I've ever felt worse before. The reason I'm going to finish out my current contract rather than just abruptly leave is because I owe the WWE something for allowing me the platform to become as big as I have. Along with that, I want to compete in my final match ever at WrestleMania... and I want to do it as the WWE Champion. Something that John Cena said to me at SmackDown 15 was that I regret ever connecting with the WWE Universe, and that is far from the truth. I will never regret being someone that can inspire others to pursue their dreams no matter what! And sure, I'm walking away from the life I always wanted, but I still want nothing but the best for all of you. You gave me the chance to succeed. You helped me go from a poor girl in Norwich to the biggest name in professional wrestling. You guys made me the first-ever female WWE Champion!" Paige's admission of admiration for the fans was cut short by Vince, who said that she's got it all wrong. "These people didn't do any of that for you. Hell, you didn't even do it yourself! You know who made you a star? A millionaire? The WWE Champion? Me! I did all of that! I'm the one who signs your checks and puts your name in the biggest, boldest letters on all of our promotions! Nothing in this company happens without my approval! This wasn't organic at all! I saw your popularity rising, so I made sure the damn thing stayed on the upswing! You owe everything to me, Paige, and the way you're going to return the favor is by signing this!" Vince tried handing the new contract to Paige, who screamed at him that she's not staying and there isn't anything he can do to change her mind. "You and your $3 million contract can kiss! My! Ass!" Paige was about to exit the ring before Vince started laughing. "$3 million? You think this is the same $3 million contract I tried handing you before? Paige, I'm a powerful man. The most powerful on this planet, if you ask me. All it takes is a few phone calls to my accountants and I could make the biggest contract offer in the history of sports entertainment to you. And you know what? That's exactly what I did. This contract here isn't for$3 million. It's for $50 million! 5 more years! You will be making more money than anyone in the history of WWE! And that's not where it stops! This contract includes a partnership with your family's wrestling school and promotion that will make them all millionaires, too! It includes NXT contracts for your brothers! I will personally make sure that your nephews and nieces have full rides to any university in the world that they want to go to so they don't need to end up like broken carcasses in my company like their aunt! If you care about your family, you will sign this contract!"
... AT LEAST UNTIL 'THE MAN' COMES AROUND: Paige was left stunned in the ring. It still didn't matter to her the amount of money that she'd be making, but Vince was now holding perks for her entire family over her head to remain with WWE. On one hand, she wanted to lash out at Vince and tell him that he doesn't get to guilt trip her, but at the same time, she had to wonder if signing the contract for the sake of her family was worth it. Paige remained alone in her head thinking until the fans in Indianapolis started reacting to something. Both Paige and Vince turned their attention to the crowd, watching Becky Lynch walk down to the ring. "SmackDown Live's Becky Lynch is here on RAW"! Don Callis exclaimed over the raucous audience members who were caught off guard by Becky's presence. "Hey, Vinnie. Lay off of her, will you?" Becky asked Vince, who was offended by her casual greeting. "First of all, Becky... it's not 'Vinnie.' It's 'Mr. McMahon' to you. And second of all, what the hell are you even doing here? I didn't ask you to show up tonight!" Vince shouted. "I invited myself, Vinnie. I don't need you to boss me around and give me directions. I do what I want. I show up where I want. And I say what I want. Right now, I'm telling you to your face that you need to back off of Paige. This woman doesn't owe you a damn thing. She's staying here until WrestleMania to finish out the contract that she has right now. That is her only obligation. If she says she's not signing another contract, then she isn't signing one." Becky stood up for Paige, saying that 'Princess Anarchist' said nothing but the truth just now. "You didn't make her a star, Vince. The fans did. She did. Everything Paige said just now is true... except for one thing..." Becky then approached Paige, telling her that it's great that she wants to defend the WWE Championship at WrestleMania... "But, uh, how are you going to do that if you won't even make it out of Survivor Series with that title? We're friends, Paige. I have nothing but love and admiration for you, but that doesn't mean I'm just going to lie down in this ring for you. I beat Allie at Hell in a Cell, which gives me a shot at the WWE Championship at Survivor Series. That's an opportunity that I'm not going to let go of. They say that to be 'The Man', you've got to beat 'The Man.' You've been 'The Man' for a long while, but now, I'm 'The Man'. I'm the one who is going to carry this company into the future that you won't be here to see, and I'm doing it as the WWE Champion." Becky and Paige stared each other down before Vince tried to restore order. He demanded that Becky leave the arena and Paige signs her contract, two requests that neither woman wanted to comply with. Together, Paige and Becky punched Vince the face! The Chairman stumbled to the canvas, and when he tried get back up, Becky threw him across the ring with a Bexploder Suplex! Becky shouted at the downed Vince before turning around, taking a shot from the WWE Championship to the skull by Paige! The fans who rallied behind Paige moments ago were now turned against her. Paige looked directly into the hard camera and said that it doesn't matter if you're her friend or foe. "This is my Farewell Tour now. I am going to do everything in my power to make sure that this WWE Championship stays around my waist and that I carry it into WrestleMania! No one is going to make me stay here, and no one is going to force me out! Everything happens on my ter-" Paige was then jumped from behind by Becky, who was bleeding from her nose as a result of Paige's cheap shot earlier. Even with blood covering Becky's face, 'The Man' was relentless with her strikes against Paige, throwing her shoulder-first into the ring post. Becky then brought Paige down to the canvas, applying the Disarmer! Becky reeled back with all of her might, trying to snap Paige's arm to the approval of the WWE Universe. After Becky released the hold, she took the WWE Title and held it over Paige. Becky claims to be 'The Man' now, but at Survivor Series, will she become the WWE Champion?
