Impressive. I liked how Laurinaitis was introduced to his 'new' role. Good to see Ziggler get the shot in a match that had legit contenders. Good bout with the Divas. GREAT to see Ryder lose... I mean, great tag bout, lol, but yeah, wonder how that will work, three guys got the win and there are only two titles... Good way to keep the tension between Air Boom, also giving Ambrose some more momentum. Del Rio beating Van Dam was good, but wonder if it will still be long term. Henry is still looking badass, and I can't wait to read his match against Kane. Triple H vs Nash was better on a RAW than it would've been on PPV, so kudos for that. Also, great ending segment, a possible feud with HHH? Way better than Kane/Cena. Makes me wonder if we'll see heel HHH.

BREAKING NEWS
In the wake of last night's 3-hour edition of RAW Supershow, COO Triple H has announced the four week suspension of John Cena. Cena and Triple H had a confrontation at the end of the broadcast, which concluded with a punch from Cena to the COO. Triple H is not expected to address this suspension publicly, though the now permanent General Manager of RAW, John Laurinaitis has stated on his new Twitter account (@wwerawgm) that he will be speaking on this suspension next Monday from Corpus Christi.

Live Tuesday SmackDown! | January 3rd, 2012 | Little Rock, AR
WWE Superstars 1/5 Taping Results Justin Gabriel def. Johnny Curtis Drew McIntyre def. Ted DiBiase
Pyro blasted from the stage as camera shots of the audience here in Little Rock were shown. The commentary unit of Michael Cole, Josh Mathews, and Booker T welcomed everyone to the first ever edition of SmackDown of 2012. It's Live Tuesday SmackDown! Tonight, controversy back at TLC has resulted in a rematch of huge proportions. The Elimination Tables Match between Intercontinental Champion Sheamus, Cody Rhodes, Wade Barrett, and Randy Orton will take place once again. The winner will be declared the undisputed No.1 Contender for the World Heavyweight Championship. Speaking of the World Heavyweight Championship, we're not wasting anytime tonight. The bell sounded as Justin Roberts announced that the opening contest is for the World Heavyweight Championship.
Kane def. Mark Henry (Still World Heavyweight Champion) At TLC, the Resurrected Monster managed to defeat Henry in a Chairs Match to regain the World Heavyweight Championship. This was the World's Strongest Man's final shot at retribution as he looks ahead to Daniel Bryan at the Royal Rumble and, potentially, a title defense as well. Towards the end, Kane ascended up to the top turnbuckle as he was looking to come down with a Flying Clothesline. Henry didn't allow that as he interrupted the process. Henry stepped onto the bottom rope as he tried to place Kane in position for a Superplex. The defending champion wouldn't allow it as he countered Henry's attempt into a Chokeslam! Henry crashed to the mat as Kane covered him, getting the three count and the victory.
The audience popped as Kane was handed the World Title. He did his signature taunt as flames shot from the ring posts. Kane has overcome the World's Strongest Man, and now looks ahead to the Royal Rumble where his challenger will be determined in tonight's main event.
Cutting backstage, SmackDown GM Teddy Long was shown in his office when the trio of Hunico, Primo, and Epico walked in. The new WWE Tag Team Champions bragged about their victory, telling Teddy he should be proud that they've brought the gold back to SmackDown. Teddy said that they may be the champions, but there's three of them and only two championships, so how do they expect to handle that? Hunico told Teddy that they've already taken care of that. Last night at RAW, they met with the now permanent RAW General Manager John Laurinaitis briefly, and he's allowing them to utilize the "Freebird Rule," meaning any two of them can defend the titles. Teddy told them that they better decided which two are going to compete tonight, because they're defending the Tag Team Titles against The Usos.
BREAK Kane, Mark Henry
Returning from the commercial break, a screenshot of WWE.COM's homepage was shown, with the headline being the four week suspension of John Cena after his actions towards Triple H last night on RAW. Booker defended Cena, saying that he has the right to stand up for himself and Triple H should be ashamed for this suspension. Cole was indifferent, saying that it doesn't matter if Cena was standing up for himself. He put his hands on the COO of this company, and Triple H did the right thing.
Dean Ambrose def. Ezekiel Jackson Dean Ambrose faced his biggest challenge yet, literally. Despite the size advantage, Ambrose was able to outsmart Jackson, countering and escaping every maneuver from the beast. It was clear that Ambrose would be unable to deliver the Midnight Special, but he worked around that as he delivered a Knee Trembler to Big Zeke, covering him to pick up the victory.
Ambrose sat on his knees as the referee raised his arm. Ambrose turned his head towards the referee, staring at him intensively before scaring him away. He grabbed a microphone as he told everyone in the arena to be quiet because he Dean Ambrose has a microphone, you listen. "For weeks now, I've been beating up people nonstop. And that's fine because I enjoy causing pain and misery for others. But that gets tiring real fast. I need something else to keep me entertained. And that comes on January 29th. It doesn't matter what number I draw or who's in the ring at the time I enter. I'm going to win the Royal Rumble. No way around it. And when I do, the WWE better have their hand ready on the self-destruct button, because I'm going to tear this place apart from within." Ambrose threw the microphone down, making an emphatic statement and guarantee to come out of the Royal Rumble victorious.
A graphic was shown for tonight's main event. The Elimination Tables Match from TLC will happen once again as Sheamus, Cody Rhodes, Wade Barrett, and Randy Orton battle to determine the No.1 Contender for the World Heavyweight Championship.
BREAK Dean Ambrose, Royal Rumble
Returning to SmackDown, Cody Rhodes was shown in his locker room when Scott Stanford walked in, asking for his thoughts on having to repeat the Elimination Tables Match if he wants to be deemed the next man in line for a shot at the World Title? Rhodes said that it's acts like this that show why Teddy Long isn't qualified for the role of SmackDown GM. It doesn't matter how he won at TLC. The point is he won, and he should be locked in as the No.1 Contender. But because of Teddy's ridiculous sympathy, he has to go through this match again. But that won't change the outcome. He'll put Sheamus, Barrett, and Orton through tables again tonight, and become World Heavyweight Champion at the Royal Rumble.
Cutting to the arena, Heath Slater was shown in the ring. He said that he's sick and tired of not being shown the respect that he deserves. And to finally even have a spotlight on him, he had to get pulverized by Randy Orton two weeks in a row. But that's okay, because it will change soon. He'll finally get the respect and recognition he deserves when he tosses 29 other guys over the top rope and win the Royal Rumble. And just to prove himself, he's challenging anyone in the back to come out here and see if they can toss him over the top.
Sin Cara def. Heath Slater in an Over The Top Rope Challenge As Sin Cara was making his entrance, Slater laughed at the thought of someone with the size of Cara eliminating him. Slater's laughter was later turned to misery as he attempted a Powerbomb, but Cara was able to counter it into a Hurricarana over the top rope.
Sin Cara ran onto the second rope and raised his arms in victory as the WWE Universe applauded him. Slater sat at ringside in shock, trying to get back in the ring as the referee held him back. Sin Cara picks up more momentum heading into the Royal Rumble, where despite his size, he could be viewed as a favorite.
Backstage, Daniel Bryan was shown in his locker room when AJ walked in. She told Bryan that it's great to see him back on his feet, but is he sure he wants to go against Mark Henry again at the Royal Rumble, considering what happened last time? Bryan said that last time, he didn't want to face Henry. This time, he can't wait until the Royal Rumble. But right now, he's going out to the ring to speak out about Henry. Bryan gave AJ a peck on her forehead as he headed out of the room, on his way to the ring.
BREAK Heath Slater, Sin Cara
A promo was shown for the return of Saturday Night's Main Event, Saturday January 21st, on NBC.
Cutting to the arena, the theme of Daniel Bryan hit as SmackDown's Mr. Money In The Bank hit the ring. With less than three months away from him cashing in the briefcase, Bryan has other things on his mind right now, specifically the World's Strongest Man. Bryan grabbed a microphone, saying it feels great to be back on SmackDown. What didn't feel great was having to sit in a hospital for nearly a month thanks to Mark Henry. It also didn't feel great watching Henry retire his good friend, the Big Show. And it damn sure didn't feel great watching Henry torture and abuse AJ the week after he was put through a Steel Cage wall. But he looks ahead to the Royal Rumble, where that great feeling will be brought back to him. He'll finally get his revenge on Mark Henry by pinning him yet again in this ring, and then look ahead to WrestleMania where he will fulfill his dream and become World Heavyweight Champion. As Bryan was about to leave the ring, Mark Henry appeared on the titantron. He told Bryan that that was quite an inspirational speech he just gave, but it doesn't mean a damn thing. What will feel great is beating his brains out again at the Royal Rumble. And this time, he'll make sure he gets the job done and Bryan won't be able to make it to WrestleMania. "You....and your little girlfriend." As Henry was saying that, the camera showed AJ on the ground unconscious. Bryan looked in shock and horror before running to the back. Cameras cut to the scene once again as Henry was gone, though there were referees and officials on the scene. Bryan pushed them out of the way as he tried to get a response from AJ, though she was still unresponsive. He yelled at the referees and officials to go get an ambulance as he stayed at AJ's side, both sorrow and anger in his eyes.
BREAK Daniel Bryan, AJ
Returning from the break, a recap of what just transpired was shown before cutting to the live camera as we saw AJ being placed on a stretcher and into an ambulance. Daniel Bryan was still a loss for words as he couldn't do anything but watch his girlfriend be given medical assistance. Scott Stanford approached him, realizing it may be a bad time, but still asked for thoughts. Bryan simply stared at Stanford, looking as if he were ready to snap. He went inside the ambulance with AJ, still not saying a single word.
Hunico and Primo def. The Usos (Still WWE Tag Team Champions) Earlier in the show, we learned that the trio of Hunico, Primo, and Epico would be allowed to use the "Freebird Rule" for their title defenses. Tonight, Hunico and Primo were the ones who put the gold up against The Usos. Epico climbed up onto the ring apron, trying to distract the referee as Jimmy Uso as Hunico in a pinning predicament. Jimmy delivered a headbutt to Epico, knocking him off the apron, but was then hit with a Backstabber from Hunico as he covered him to get the victory.
Hunico and Primo grabbed their Tag Team Championships as they raised them high in the air before helping Epico to his feet. The three of them made their way up the entrance ramp, still showing off their new WWE Tag Team Championships to the world.
At this time, the RAW Rebound was shown, showing the result of the main event as Triple H finally defeated Kevin Nash to bring their rivalry to an end. Following the match, Triple H called out John Cena. He told Cena that with only three months to go until WrestleMania, he can tell that he's not ready to face The Rock. And the reason he's not ready is because he won't be able to "rise above the hate" in Miami. Triple H said that the only way Cena will have a chance against The Rock is if he "embraces the hate." Cena suggested otherwise, but Triple H began to press him even further. Cena soon had enough and punched Triple H. As we learned earlier today, Triple H suspended Cena for his actions against him. Next Monday on RAW, the now permanent GM John Laurinaitis will speak on this suspension.
Backstage, the Intercontinental Champion Sheamus was shown making his way down to the ring. The Elimination Tables Match is next live on SmackDown.
BREAK Daniel Bryan, Hunico, Freebird Rule
A promo was shown for the Royal Rumble, live Sunday January 29th, only on Pay-Per-View.
Cody Rhodes def. Randy Orton, Intercontinental Champion Sheamus, and Wade Barrett in an Elimination Tables Match to become the No.1 Contender for the World Heavyweight Championship A great main event to close out this live Tuesday edition of SmackDown. Not much different from the match that we saw at TLC, though the rules implicated were much stricter so no controversy could occur. First eliminated this time was the Intercontinental Champion Sheamus, who was knocked off of the ring apron and through a table by Wade Barrett. From there, Cody and Barrett worked over Orton before Barrett tried to toss Cody into a table. Orton charged towards Rhodes, who moved out of the way as Orton Speared Barrett through the table. Once again, it was down to Orton and Rhodes. The two of them battled for a while until the mystery masked man jumped into the ring. He went after Orton, who was able to fight back this time. Orton placed the masked man on the top turnbuckle as he was looking to Superplex him through a table. Suddenly, Rhodes capitalized on this as he Powerbombed Orton through the table.
Rhodes raised his arms in victory and shouted at the top of his lungs as it was now official. No controversy and no reversed calls. Cody Rhodes is now the undisputed No.1 Contender and is on his way to the Royal Rumble to meet Kane for the World Heavyweight Championship.
In the ring, Orton remained on the ground in pain as the masked man slid back into the ring. He stood over the Viper for a bit. The masked man then placed his hand on the bottom of his mask, teasing what the world has been waiting. He slowly removed the mask, revealing himself as Chris Jericho! Jericho stared down at Orton, bringing SmackDown to a close.

WWE Smackdown Live! Although I just returned two days ago, I have been reading this diary from time to time. It's fantastic. You've really hit your stride with these shows. World Titles matches can be a risky start to the show, but I think it worked well here and it was good to see Kane retain. I would have liked Henry's reign to go a little bit longer than TLC, but I suppose Kane's not going into WM as Champ either. Huncio, Primo, and Epico defending against the Usos tonight should be great. I love the Usos. Nice win for Dean Ambrose. Good promo from him after the match too. I hope he doesn't win the Rumble, however. Not sure on your stance on him, but hopefully Slater becomes a decent mid carder soon. He's proven in real life over the past few months he's not as bad as people think he is. Right choice to have Sin Cara go over, however. Saturday Night's Main Event! Woo hoo! Back to the show. I really enjoyed the Daniel Bryan and Mark Henry segment, and it's nice to see Henry is continuing his reign of dominance by assaulting AJ. Bryan should go over at the Rumble, though. Good title defense from Hunico and Primo, turning back the Usos. Hopefully you're starting to expand the division. Also, I like how they're using the Freebird Rule, good call. Freebird Rule trending? I got a kick out of that. Woo, I'm relieved that Cody Rhodes is still the Number One Contender. I was thinking Barrett would win. Good finish with the masked man..... oh shiit it's Chris Jericho! Great swerve ending to the live Smackdown, a feud with Jericho and Orton will be great. Overall, a nice show and I look forward to more.

RAW Supershow | January 9th, 2012 | Corpus Christi, TX
WWE Superstars 1/9 Taping Results Michael McGillicutty def. Yoshi Tatsu Jack Swagger def. Mason Ryan
After the signature WWE intro, a video package aired that highlighted the conclusion to last week's edition of RAW. After finally defeating Kevin Nash in a No Holds Barred Match, Triple H took it upon himself to call out John Cena and give him some "advice" for beating The Rock at WrestleMania XXVIII. Cena refused to listen to Hunter, prompting the Game to slap him. Cena retaliated with a punch that would leave him with a four week suspension, courtesy of the COO.
Cutting to the arena here in Corpus Christi, an unfamiliar theme hit as the Executive Vice President of Talent Relations and RAW General Manager John Laurinaitis made his way down to the ring. Michael Cole and Jerry "The King" Lawler briefly welcomed everyone to RAW Supershow as the entire locker room and the WWE Universe are still in shock over Triple H's decision to suspend John Cena for striking him last Monday. Laurinaitis introduced himself to the audience, making sure he reminded everyone that he is now the permanent General Manager of RAW. He said that last week, Triple H made a decision that was out of his hands. A decision that some have deemed as unjust and erratic. That decision was to suspend John Cena for four weeks. But even though that decision is out of his hands, that doesn't mean he isn't for it. Since becoming a part of RAW, John Cena has showed zero respect and has defied him numerous times. And this suspension should teach him a valuable lesson. "You and I may not like one another, Hunter, but I commend you for your actions. I will make sure that this suspension stands as a milestone in the history of People Power." The audience continued to boo Laurinaitis as he attempted to leave the ring, but was stopped by the theme of Air Boom. Kofi Kingston made his way down to the ring, telling Laurinaitis that he better listen to him because he's tired of all of this. For weeks now, he and Evan Bourne have been disintegrating right before the world's eyes. He thought maybe his victory at TLC spawned some jealousy in Evan. But then he realized that this entire fiasco isn't Evan's fault. "It's your fault, John." The audience popped as Kofi told Laurinaitis that he's the one who put them through hell and weakened their bond before TLC, which seems to be where everything went array. When you consider all of this, why should he be the permanent General Manager of RAW? Laurinaitis told Kofi that he's the right man for this job because none of his predecessors have believed in People Power the way he does. Kofi asked Laurinaitis what exactly is People Power? "People Power is the way towards success. It's listening to the people and giving them what they want." Kofi said that the reason he came out here was because he and Evan were finally able to talk and they came up with a solution to their problem. And that solution is a match next week. The two of the versus David Otunga.....and John Laurinaitis! The audience erupted as Laurinaitis' face turned beat red. He told Kofi that he doesn't see that as a solution. "You're the one who said you listen to the people and give them what they want. Judging by their reaction, they want to see this match." The audience continued to cheer, showing they do indeed want this match. Laurinaitis was at a loss for words as going against the people wouldn't look good on the part of the man who is heavily invested in "People Power." Kofi left the ring as it would appear that a huge tag team match could be in store for us next. Could we really see Air Boom face David Otunga and John Laurinaitis live next Monday?
BREAK John Laurinaitis, Air Boom
Returning from the commercial break, John Laurinaitis was shown storming into his office as shouted at David Otunga to get Stamford on the phone. Otunga said that he already called, and the Board of Directors have approved of Kofi Kingston's suggestion. He's sorry, but there's nothing he can do. This match will happen next week. Laurinaitis sat on his couch, holding his face as in disbelief at the fact that he and Otunga will have to compete next week against Air Boom, who have placed the blame for their issues on Laurinaitis.
Zack Ryder def. John Morrison (Still United States Champion) Last week, John Morrison made a statement by throwing Ryder, his "broski," into a wall after an argument between the two. Morrison received a mixed reaction from the WWE Universe, displaying more heel traits than usual. He finally received his United States Title shot in what proved to be a fantastic bout to open RAW Supershow. After Morrison missed Starship Pain, Ryder hopped onto the second rope and delivered a flying Rough Ryder, putting Morrison away to get the victory.
The audience popped as Ryder was handed the United States Championship, raising it high in the air and fist pumping with Corpus Christi. As he made his way up the ramp, he was attacked from behind by Morrison. Having just been defeated, Morrison took out his frustrations by leveling Ryder in the skull with the title. Morrison left to a chorus of boos as referees came out to check on the United States Champion.
Backstage, WWE Champion CM Punk was shown in his locker room as he prepares for his title defense against Dolph Ziggler. He was approached by Josh Mathews, asking if he feels that Christian may be a factor in tonight's championship match? Punk stated that he knows Christian won't get involved. Because come the Royal Rumble, "Not-Edge" wants him for the title, not Dolph Ziggler. But he should want Ziggler, because that would be a much easier road to the WWE Championship. But tonight, he wants to see Christian. He wants to know what stipulation Christian has chosen so he can embarrass Captain Charisma once again.
BREAK Zack Ryder, John Morrison
Returning to RAW, The Miz was shown in the parking lot as he awaits the arrival of Mick Foley, who he challenged to meet him here tonight for a fight. Whether or not Foley will indeed show up is unknown at this point.
Cutting to John Laurinaitis office, the RAW General Manager was shown sitting on his couch, still in shock over the Board of Directors' decision to give the green light for Air Boom's tag team match next week against he and David Otunga. Otunga walked into the room, telling Laurinaitis that he has something to brighten up his mood. Brodus Clay is about to make his debut right now. Laurinaitis sat up and approached the television screen as Otunga went on about how dominate and ruthless Brodus is. Otunga and Laurinaitis geared up to watch a monster hit the scene here on RAW.
Cutting to the arena, the bell sounded as Justin Roberts introduced JTG, who was already in the ring. Roberts then introduced Brodus Clay as a funk-type song played. Out came two dancers before Brodus, who was wearing a red tracksuit as he smiled and danced his way to the ring. Laurinaitis and Otunga were shown with their mouths wide open as they thought they had signed a monster.
Brodus Clay def. JTG Just about everyone was left speechless at the entrance of Brodus Clay, who Michael Cole referred to as the "Funkasaurus". Brodus dominated JTG, making short work out of him by finishing him off with a Running Splash to pick up the victory.
Brodus raised his arms in victory as his two dancers joined him in the ring. The three of them danced to Brodus' theme as everyone still didn't know what to say. David Otunga anticipated a beast, which we did see here tonight, but in the form of a Funkasaurus.
Backstage, we saw The Miz once again, still waiting for Mick Foley's arrival. He was met by R-Truth, who said that he knew Foley wouldn't show. "I knew that sock-lover is frightened by us." Miz said that if Foley doesn't come, he vowed to go to Foley and intends to keep that promise. Miz sat back in his chair as he is hellbent on getting a piece of Foley tonight.
A graphic was shown for the WWE Championship bout between CM Punk and Dolph Ziggler. It happens next, live on RAW.
BREAK Brodus Clay
A promo was shown for the return of Saturday Night's Main Event, January 21st, only on NBC.
CM Punk def. Dolph Ziggler (Still WWE Champion) A remarkable championship bout that will certainly be quite difficult to top. Ziggler came seconds away numerous times from becoming the WWE Champion as he proved himself against the WWE's top star. As Ziggler was going for the Fameasser, Punk was able to counter it and hit Dolph with a GTS to put him away and hold on to his championship.
The Corpus Christi crowd erupted as Punk was declared the winner and still WWE Champion. He was handed the title as he raised it high in the air, but was barely given enough time to celebrate as the theme of Christian hit. The man who will now officially meet CM Punk in three weeks told Punk that ever since John Laurinaitis granted him the privilege of choosing the stipulation for their title match at the Royal Rumble, he's been thinking about it non-stop. "What stipulation do I want to guarantee myself the WWE Championship?" Christian said that he finally reached a conclusion, and it is his master plan. "All this time, Punk, you've been ridiculing me for my success. You claim I owe it all to Edge and that I will never be better than him. Well guess what? You're going to witness the torch be passed over as Edge hands me the WWE Championship at the Royal Rumble. And that's because he will be the special guest referee." The audience didn't know how to respond to Christian's announcement. Edge will be the special guest referee at the Royal Rumble, but does this put the match in Christian's favor? Will the Rated R Superstar play a fair referee, or will favoritism cost CM Punk the WWE Championship?
Cutting back to the parking lot, The Miz was still shown awaiting Mick Foley. R-Truth told Miz that he hates to break it to him, but he might as well give up. "Jolly Old St. Mick ain't gonna show." Miz looked extremely disappointed as he stood up from his chair and followed Truth back into the arena, concluding that Mick Foley isn't going to show up.
BREAK CM Punk, Dolph Ziggler, Edge
Returning from the break, a recap of Christian's announcement was shown. At the Royal Rumble, Edge will be the special guest referee when CM Punk defends the WWE Championship against Christian.
As cameras cut back to the arena, the theme of Alberto Del Rio hit as Ricardo Rodriguez introduced him. The Mexican Aristocrat looked to be in a much better mood after defeating Rob Van Dam last week on RAW. Del Rio grabbed a microphone as he told the audience that they better take this moment in. Because right now, they're looking at the man who is going to become a dual Royal Rumble winner in three weeks. To bet against him this year would be idiotic. Having won last year and just being who he is should solidify him as the odds on favorite. There's nobody else entering this year who has his credentials or talent. And this time, Alberto Del Rio will stand tall on the grandest stage as the WWE Champion. Before Del Rio could ramble on, he was interrupted by the arrival of Rob Van Dam. The audience repeatedly chanted "RVD" as he entered the ring. Van Dam told Del Rio that he hates to disappoint him, but he's not going to be winning the Royal Rumble this year. Del Rio asked why is that? "Because this year, someone else is entering the Rumble match, and his name is Rob Van Dam!" The audience popped as Del Rio shouted at them to be quiet. He laughed a bit and asked Van Dam if he is delusional. Why should anyone believe he can win the Royal Rumble? "Because I can do this," said RVD as he grabbed Del Rio and tossed him over the top rope. Del Rio was livid as he shouted at Van Dam from ringside, who simply taunted the Mexican Aristocrat. RVD turned around to see that Ricardo was still in the ring. Del Rio's personal announcer begged Van Dam to spare him as it looked like he was going to comply. Suddenly, Van Dam hit a Spinning Heel Kick to Ricardo. He then ascended up to the top rope and came down on him with a Five Star Frog Splash. Del Rio looked on from the stage as Van Dam has made his mark heading into the Royal Rumble match in three weeks.
Cutting back to the parking lot, there was no sign of The Miz or R-Truth as they have given up on Mick Foley's arrival. Suddenly, Foley was shown walking into the arena. Mick Foley is here, and it looks like he's ready to accept the challenge of the Awesome One.
BREAK Alberto Del Rio, Rob Van Dam
A video promo was shown for this Friday's edition of SmackDown. With the World Heavyweight Championship match at the Royal Rumble set, will Kane and Cody Rhodes have any words for each other? After witnessing AJ be carried into an ambulance, how will Daniel Bryan react with him and Mark Henry in the same building? And after revealing himself as the man behind the mask, will Chris Jericho explain himself to the world and, more importantly, Randy Orton?
Returning to RAW, Divas Champion Beth Phoenix was shown stationed at the announce table. A graphic appeared, announcing that Beth will once again defend her Divas Championship against Natalya at the Royal Rumble. Beth wasn't in much of a talking mood, having been forced to submit to Natalya's Sharpshooter last week.
Natalya def. Tamina A rather solid Divas bout here. Natalya didn't allow Beth's presence to distract as she remained focused on Tamina, eventually locking her in the Sharpshooter. As the hold was locked in, Natalya kept eye-contact with Beth, reminding her that she was in the same position last week. Tamina eventually submitted.
Natalya raised her arms in victory as she asked for a microphone. She told Beth that she can hide and stay quiet all she wants, but the entire world saw last week. "You tapped out," repeatedly said Natalya as Beth stood up from the announce table and marched up the entrance ramp. The audience joined in on the chants as Beth tried to zone them out, but it's clear that Natalya has gotten into the head of the Divas Champion.
Cutting backstage, The Miz was shown walking down a corridor. He's gotten word that Mick Foley is here, and is on his way to the ring to meet the Hardcore Challenge. Not in a match, but a fight.
BREAK Beth Phoenix, Natalya
A promo was shown for the Royal Rumble, live in three weeks, only on Pay-Per-View.
Returning to RAW, a graphic was shown for the Tag Team Match that was made at the top of the broadcast. RAW General Manager John Laurinaitis and David Otunga must compete against Air Boom, who have placed the blame for their dissension on the two "People Power" pioneers. Plus, John Cena will be speaking via satellite on the suspension that was handed down to him by the COO, Triple H.
The theme of Mick Foley hit as the audience stood on their feet. The Hardcore Legend made his way out to the stage, ready to answer The Miz's challenge. Suddenly, he was attacked from behind by Miz and Truth. The two of them stomped away on Foley, the man they feel is responsible for their loss of the WWE Tag Team Championships. Miz tossed Foley into the steel steps before striking away. He tossed Foley to Truth, who hit a Shut Up onto the floor. Foley was defenseless as Miz picked him up and planted him face first with the Skull Crushing Finale onto the entrance ramp. The two of them dragged Foley up to the stage, where they were stopped by referees and officials. They were able to get Miz and Truth to the back as they all tended to Foley. They began helping Foley to his feet when suddenly, Miz ran back out to the stage. He grabbed Foley and tossed him off of the stage! Foley crashed through the stage equipment as the referees and officials rushed to him. Several superstars and even Jerry Lawler came to Foley's side. The refs made the "X" sign as the medical staff were quickly on the scene. The Miz stood on the stage as he stared down at Foley, a sadistic smile lighting up his face..

WWE RAW Supershow: Monday 2nd January 2012...Alex Riley beating Michael McGillicutty is fair. Eve beating Tamina was the right call in my mind. Nice promo to kick off the show with John Laurinaitis revealing General Management of RAW. I'm wondering if he does decide to take on SmackDown as well; like your inclusion of the People Power campaign, very nice indeed. Interesting idea to have a fatal four-way match open up the show with the star power it has, but it was very interesting to say the least, I liked Dolph Ziggler's angle with CM Punk around this time, and him with the win against Jack Swagger of all people, was very different. John Morrison and Swagger meanwhile, in my mind didn't quite fit in. John Cena doesn't need the WWE Championship currently. Natalya beating Beth Phoenix was a strange call, but interesting as to where this angle is going from here. I imagine a rematch for the WWE Divas Championship at the Royal Rumble. Brodus Clay debuts next week...HEEL I hope. Wait wait wait, what!? I'm not sure why you put the WWE Tag Team Championships on CM Punk and Zack Ryder honestly. A three-way tag match would have made more sense. However, this way it gets Primo, Epico and Hunico more known, and gathers them more heat. I'm still unsure though honestly. Christian screwing them out of the titles was an odd decision, too. Keep this Hispanic trio together, I liked it initially. Morrison hinting a heel turn on Ryder? About damn time. Dean Ambrose beating Evan Bourne was expected. Kofi Kingston and Evan Bourne continue their dissension as Ambrose continues to grow more popularity. Wonder how you're going to handle this situation with Dolph Ziggler AND Christian in CM Punk's head. I hope it doesn't lead to another WWE Championship triple threat match for the Rumble. Interesting segment with JTG and Santino Marella getting ready for competition just to get attacked by the Awesome Truth. Mick Foley and Miz at WrestleMania XXVIII perhaps? Alberto Del Rio beating Rob Van Dam was fine, sets up an inevitable rubber match. Kane beating David Otunga was what it was. Mark Henry with retribution on his mind was fun. And lastly, I expected fully that Triple H would beat Kevin Nash in their blowoff No Holds Barred match. What I didn't like, was Hunter essentially turning heel, sweeping the Nash business under the rug and pulling out the "Embrace the Hate" crap. It doesn't interest me. It may test Cena before facing the Rock, but Hunter's character was pretty badly portrayed here. Cena hitting Triple H I wasn't that sure about either; it wouldn't be in Cena's character to do that to a face authority. Turn it around, a decent show with a lot going on.
WWE SmackDown Live: Tuesday 3rd January 2012...John Cena's suspended for thirty days...at least that gets him out of the way going past the Royal Rumble. I hope he does a lot of social media to get the match over though; the main build for WrestleMania is now! Justin Gabriel beating Johnny Curtis was fine; try and get Curtis somewhere, he's a good talent. Drew McIntyre beating Ted Dibiase was cool, nothing much to note there. Kane beating Mark Henry I saw coming, a decent win for Kane as World Heavyweight Champion. I can't see him making it past Elimination Chamber as the champ though. Dean Ambrose beating Ezekiel Jackson was what it was, liked his promo after the match too. Sin Cara beating Heath Slater was amusing, liking your portrayal of Slater. Saturday Night's Main Event returning? I'm not a fan. The schedule you have now is already busy, with three hour RAWs, live SmackDowns, WWE is getting too much exposure. I hope it's just a one hour show really. It also deprives the importance of pay-per-view. Daniel Bryan's promo was pretty cool, not sure if I liked Mark Henry making another appearance on the show though honestly. Additionally not a fan of Hunico, Primo and Epico already making a WWE Tag Team Championship defense. I hope the Usos get their chance to win the belts in the future though, they've waited two years as it is. Cody Rhodes with the win again? Wasn't thinking that would happen. I can't see Kane facing Cody being that great though, in all honesty. Cody's win was overshadowed by Chris Jericho's return though, and that maps out well since Randy Orton was the guy that took him out in the first place. A great show, a busy week. Calm down on the live/three-hour show formats.

RAW: - Decent start to RAW, I'm not entirely sold on Cena's suspension because it drops the star power heading towards the Rumble and I can't help but get the feeling you just had nothing for him. I'm liking the push your giving to Air Boom, but it seems far too obvious that this tag match is just going to lead to a turn by either Kingston or Bourne. - Nice to see Ryder taking the win here, the guy could have had a great title run if he was given the time and the feuds. I always enjoyed Morrison as a heel, and this could be a great way to build up both men. - Good to see the Funkasaurus making his debut here, obviously he was going over. Can't wait to see what you do with him. - A bit of a bizarre spot to put the WWE Championship match, it really should have been the main event, especially since you made the whole thing so even. Punk was clearly going over here, and the announcement that Edge will be the special referee at the Rumble is pretty massive and just adds to the fact this should have ended the show. - A decent way to build to the Rumble and keep things going between Del Rip and RVD, although I'll be very surprised if either of them manage to win it. - Good win for Natalya and I'm looking forward to her getting another Diva's Championship shot at the Rumble, hopefully she can win the title this time round. - A solid segment between Awesome Truth and Mick Foley, the stage bump would be a memorable stunt to see but I don't think it needed to headline the show. Ideally you should have swapped this with the Punk/ Ziggler match because I think that would have worked better with the flow of the show. - A decent show although there were some odd booking decisions for me. The Rumble's always an awkward show to build to though and I think you need to put a bit more focus on the actual Royal Rumble match itself other than the odd segment mid show.

Friday Night SmackDown ! | January 13th, 2012 | Laredo, TX
WWE Superstars 1/12 Taping Results Tyson Kidd def. Jinder Mahal Hunico def. Justin Gabriel
After a video package recapping the events of last week's Live Tuesday SmackDown, Chris Jericho's theme hit as he made his way down to the ring. Jericho, who was revealed last week as Randy Orton's mystery attacker, grabbed a microphone as the audience showed their displeasure for his actions. Y2J said that last week was the result of a plot that he spent well over a year compromising. And if people are still puzzled as to why he spent months attacking and toying with Randy Orton, then here's something to jog their memory. Footage from the September 27th, 2010 edition of RAW aired, which is where Orton delivered a punt kick to Jericho. Jericho said that Orton probably thought that punt kick caused severe memory damage, but he never forgot. When he decided it was time to extract his revenge, he beat Randy Orton at his own game - mind games. He caused Orton to further lose his mentality and attack innocent people like Heath Slater, and caused him to be on edge during every single one of his bouts. But just because he's unmasked and the truth has been revealed doesn't mean he's done. "I'm just getting started Orton, and trust me. After I conquer you and win the Royal Rumble, the WWE will witness the end of the world as they know it." Before Jericho could leave, SmackDown GM Teddy Long made his way out to the stage. He told Jericho that he's not a fan of what he's been doing to Orton, and most of all, he doesn't take kindly to the fact that Jericho has been crashing his shows for the past few months. But he got a call earlier from the Board of Directors, who informed him that Jericho has signed a contract and is officially on his roster. Jericho smiled as he knew Teddy couldn't do anything about that. "Not I may not be able to control your contract situation, but if you're on my roster, then you're going to compete. And tonight, you'll have your first match in 15 months when you go one on one with the Intercontinental Champion, Sheamus!"
BREAK
Sin Cara def. Heath Slater After being thrown over the top rope last week, Slater was looking to extract some revenge here tonight. That didn't happen as Sin Cara was able to force Slater to submit to La Mistica to get the victory.
Sin Cara raised his arms in victory as he ran onto the second rope, celebrating with the WWE Universe. With the Royal Rumble nearing, Sin Cara still looks to be a favorite heading into St. Louis in 16 days.
At this time, the commentary unit addressed the injuries that AJ suffered last week at the hands of Mark Henry. They understand that she's being treated for back and neck injuries and it could be a while before we see AJ back here on SmackDown.
Cutting backstage, Teddy Long was shown in his office when Johnny Curtis walked in. Curtis told Teddy that he's looking for a match tonight. After being asked what kind of match he wanted, Curtis responded with "Any match. I'm weird like that." Teddy told Johnny that if he's so "weird," then he'll be willing to face anyone? After Curtis said yes, Teddy told him that since he has his ring gear on, he'll be competing next....against Daniel Bryan. With what happened to AJ last week, is Bryan even emotionally stable?
BREAK
After a commercial break, the theme of Wade Barrett hit as he made his way out to the stage. Barrett said that after last week, many people are under the assumption that he's lost sight. He assured everyone that Wade Barrett never loses sight. He may not be heading to the Royal Rumble to face Kane for the World Heavyweight Championship, but he is heading there for one other goal. He will enter the Royal Rumble match, toss 29 other men over the top rope, and headline WrestleMania. That's not a statement, that's a promise. Barrett made his way to the back, making quite the statement there with the Royal Rumble Match.
Daniel Bryan vs. Johnny Curtis never starts SmackDown's Mr. Money In The Bank makes his entrance first, clearly not in the right frame of mind after what Mark Henry did to AJ last week. As Curtis was making his entrance, Bryan launched himself through the second rope and onto him. He viciously assaulted Curtis, placing him against the steel steps as he delivered repeated kicks to his chest. Several referees were forced to come out and restrain Bryan, who refused to comply as he locked Curtis in the LeBell Lock. Treating Curtis as if he were Mark Henry, Bryan refused to let go of the hold until the referees pulled him off. They quickly escorted Bryan to the back, keeping a tight grip on him to make sure he couldn't escape. The audience shouted Bryan's name as the medical staff came out to tend to Curtis.
Backstage, Intercontinental Champion Sheamus was shown in his locker room as he prepares to meet Chris Jericho later on tonight. Soon, Drew McIntyre walked into the room. He told Sheamus that if he's truly the fighting champion that he claims to be, he'll give him a title shot. "Fella, what have you done to deserve a title match?" said Sheamus as he left the room, leaving an infuriated McIntyre there.
BREAK
Cutting back to the arena, the theme of Cody Rhodes hit as the No.1 contender for the World Heavyweight Championship made his way down to the ring. A graphic was shown for Rhodes' match with Kane for the championship coming up in 16 days at the Royal Rumble. Cody grabbed a mic and told everyone that they were all wrong. They didn't believe he had a chance last week at regaining his shot at the World Heavyweight Title. And he proved all of them wrong. Now, they're doubting his chances at the Royal Rumble, but he's going to do the same thing. He's going to prove everybody wrong by winning the World Heavyweight Championship. And not just that, but he will carry the title into WrestleMania, something neither his brother or father were capable of going. As Rhodes was talking, pyro blasted from the stage as he was interrupted by the World Heavyweight Champion, Kane. The Big Red Monster told Cody that he's actually quite pleased to see him become the No.1 contender for his title. During his time away, he watched Cody walk around in a mask as if something were wrong with him. Cody said that he had a surgically reconstructed nose. There was something wrong with him, and he made a miraculous recovery. "There was nothing wrong with you. We could all see through both the mask and your lies, Cody. I was burned alive and wore this mask to conceal the tragic memories of my childhood. And I had to watch as you mocked me with your mask." Cody tried to turn the tables on Kane, calling him a hypocrite because everyone saw for years that there was nothing wrong with him. Kane said that there's always something wrong with him, mask or not. He's a sick, twisted, and demented monster. He's everything that Cody pretended to be. And he finally gets the opportunity to show Rhodes was a real monster is at the Royal Rumble. And not only will he be allowed to extract the retribution that he's been seeking, but he also gets to crush Cody's dreams of becoming World Heavyweight Champion. As Cody tried to speak out, pyro blasted from the ring posts as the lights shut. Once they were back on, Kane was nowhere to be found as Cody looked around for him. The World Heavyweight Champion makes it clear that he's not looking to just beat Rhodes at the Royal Rumble. He's looking to hurt him.
BREAK
Dean Ambrose def. Ted DiBiase With Ambrose still undefeated heading into the Royal Rumble, DiBiase was looking to crush that momentum and building some of his own. Things didn't go his way as Ambrose worked over his right hand for a good portion of the match, eventually finishing him off with a Knee Trembler to pick up the victory.
Ambrose raised his arm in victory before taking a trip around ringside, shouting to the audience that they better be ready for the revolution to begin. Ambrose remains undefeated, and has arguably the most momentum out of any superstar heading into the Royal Rumble in 16 days.
The RAW Rebound aired at this time, focusing on the events at the end of the show. Mick Foley was blindsided by The Miz and R-Truth. As Foley was being assisted, Miz decided he was not finished as he tossed Foley off of the stage. What will be the consequences for Awesome Truth? Plus, after a successful WWE Title defense, CM Punk learned that Edge will be the special guest referee for his match with Christian at the Royal Rumble. Edge will be at RAW next Monday, and we're sure that CM Punk and Christian will be looking to speak to the man that decides their title match at the Royal Rumble.
BREAK
A promo was shown for the return of Saturday Night's Main Event, one week from tomorrow on NBC.
WWE Tag Team Champion Epico def. Jimmy Uso After being on the recipient end of a headbutt last week, Epico issued a challenge to Jimmy for a match tonight. With Hunico, Primo, and Jey at ringside, this remained a fair bout as Epico hit Jimmy with a Backstabber to take the victory.
Epico rolled out of the ring as Hunico and Primo raised his arms, the WWE Tag Team Championships strapped around their waists. With the three of them heading into the Royal Rumble match, will it truly be every man for himself?
Backstage, Teddy Long was shown in his office when Daniel Bryan walked in, telling Long that he was sorry for snapping out there earlier. It's just that AJ's injuries put him in a bad state and had to let everything out, and he hopes that Curtis is alright. "Johnny's fine. He actually kind of liked the abuse from what I understand. But I do want to let you know that Mark Henry will be here next week as you two sign your Royal Rumble contract." Bryan told Teddy that he'll try his best to control himself, but if Henry provokes him in any way, he doesn't see that being possible.
Cutting to another camera, the Intercontinental Champion Sheamus was shown making his way down to the ring. He meets Chris Jericho in our main event next.
BREAK
A promo was shown for the Royal Rumble, live Sunday January 29th, only on Pay-Per-View.
Intercontinental Champion Sheamus def. Chris Jericho via Disqualification A fantastic bout to close out SmackDown. Jericho showed no ring rust in his first match since September of 2010. However, the Great White was able to deliver and provide quite the challenge for Y2J. As Sheamus was preparing for the Brogue Kick, he was blindsided by Drew McIntyre as the referee called for the bell.
Drew McIntyre, who was denied an Intercontinental Championship match earlier, attacked Sheamus as Jericho was able to slide out of the ring. Sheamus managed to retaliate and was back on his feet, he and McIntyre still brawling. As Jericho was making his way up the entrance ramp, he was attacked from behind by Randy Orton. The Viper and Jericho brawled on the outside while Sheamus and McIntyre did the same in the ring as ton of referees and officials hit the scene to restore order.

RAW Supershow | January 16th, 2012 | Anaheim, CA
WWE Superstars 1/19 Taping Results Santino Marella def. JTG Alex Riley def. Michael McGillicutty in a Royal Rumble Qualifying Match
After the signature WWE intro, we cut directly to the arena here in Anaheim as the theme of The Miz hit. Miz made his way out to a very negative reception from the audience, mostly due to his actions last week against Mick Foley. Miz grabbed a microphone and said that earlier today, R-Truth was forced to make a trip to WWE Headquarters in Stamford to personally apologize to the Board of Directors for his involvement in the attack on Mick Foley last week. But him, he wasn't called to Stamford. Instead, he was told that he would be forced to come out to the ring and issue an apology to not just the Board of Directors, but the roster, the WWE Universe, and the entire world. Before he gets to that, he wants to make something clear. He didn't attack Mick Foley just for the fact that he screwed him and Truth out of the WWE Tag Team Championships. Foley needs to realize that he can't just walk back onto RAW and take the spotlight that he has worked years for. And he was willing to go to any lengths to show that to Mick. Does he care about Foley's condition? Not at all. But if the WWE wants him t issue an apology, then he'll get it out of the way. "To the WWE Universe, all of the superstars, and Mick Foley, I'm sorry. I'm sorry that you're not in the shape that you used to be because I know that the old Mick Foley would've gotten up to his feet after the fall off the stage. But you're not you anymore, Mick. You're just a fragile, beaten-down has been." Miz said that with Foley out of the way, he can finally focus on something far bigger than Foley, and that's the Royal Rumble. "Orton, Jericho, Sheamus, Sin Cara, RVD, it doesn't matter. The only person that matters is the man who will win it all and headline WrestleMania for the second year in a row. Because I'm the Miz, and I'm.......Awesome."
Backstage, Christian was shown in the office of John Laurinaitis as he was decorating it for the return of Edge. While Christian was very enthusiastic and excited about seeing his best friend once again tonight, Laurinaitis was a nervous wreck as he and David Otunga are set to face Air Boom tonight. Christian told Laurinaitis that everything will be alright. He needs to remember that he was a legend in Japan. "I retired in 2000!" shouted Laurinaitis. David Otunga walked into the room, handing Laurinaitis his cup of coffee. Laurinaitis couldn't even hold the cup properly as it fell to the ground, showing his nervousness for tonight's match.
BREAK
Returning from the commercial break, cameras were shown in the parking lot area as we await the arrival of Edge. The Rated R Superstar will speak later on tonight about his duties as the special guest referee for the WWE Championship match between CM Punk and Christian at the Royal Rumble.
United States Champion Zack Ryder vs. John Morrison ended in a Double Countout A rematch from last week as Ryder was looking for a bit of retribution after Morrison's attack last week. As the two brawled on the outside, Morrison delivered a huge clothesline that sent the both of them over the barricade. They were unable to meet the referee's ten count as he called for the bell.
As the bell sounded, Ryder and Morrison continued their battle in the audience. Ryder had the upperhand as he was able toss Morrison over the barricade. Suddenly, Morrison was able to grab the United States Championship as he leveled Ryder in the skull with it for the second week in a row. Morrison stepped onto the announce table as the raised the championship high in the air, looking back down at the fallen Ryder.
Cutting backstage, John Laurinaitis and David Otunga were shown in Johnny's office, still feeling the nerves about their tag team match later on tonight. Soon, WWE Champion CM Punk walked into the room. He stared at the huge banner in the room that read "Welcome Home Edge!" Laurinaitis told Punk that Christian is throwing a party for Edge. "So am I," said the WWE Champion before making his way out of the room.
BREAK
After the break, Kofi Kingston was shown in his locker room as Evan Bourne walked in. Kingston asked if he was ready for this, to which Evan responded "You're damn right I'm ready." Kofi told Evan that after this match, they're going to put all of their issues aside, but they need to have a talk. Evan agreed before the two made their way out of the room.
Divas Champion Beth Phoenix def. Kelly Kelly via Submission As a follow-up to last week, Beth received a rather loud "You tapped out!" chant from the audience here in Anaheim. With her title defense again Natalya coming up in 13 days, Beth was looking to make a statement as she completely dominated Kelly. After a Glam Slam, Beth locked in the Sharpshooter, forcing Kelly to submit.
Despite the match being over, Beth refused to let go of the Sharpshooter. The official pulled her away as she stared down at Kelly, knowing the kind of destruction she can cause with a submission maneuver. She grabbed her Divas Championship and made her way up the entrance ramp, knowing the message she just sent to Natalya for the Royal Rumble.
A graphic was shown for the tag team match with Air Boom going up against David Otunga and the General Manager of RAW, John Laurinaitis. It happens next on RAW Supershow.
BREAK
A promo was shown for the return of Saturday Night's Main Event, this Saturday on NBC.
John Laurinaitis and David Otunga def. Air Boom As the two teams stared at one another, David Otunga told Laurinaitis to just stay on the ring apron and he would handle everything himself. Kofi and Evan were taking a bit longer with deciding who starts things off before deciding on Kingston. As he was preparing to start the match, Bourne turned him around and delivered a low blow! Kofi dropped to his knees as he and Bourne stared at one another, the entire arena in disbelief. Bourne then delivered a Roundhouse Kick before stepping out of the ring. Laurinaitis immediately covered Kofi as the referee had no choice but to make the three count.
Laurinaitis jumped to his feet as he and Otunga celebrated their victory, but the audience's focus was still on Evan Bourne. Evan slid back into the ring as he and Laurinaitis shared a hug. Bourne, Laurinaitis, and Otunga all raised each other's arms while Bourne placed one foot on Kofi's chest. The commentary unit themselves were flabbergasted as to why Bourne would turn his back on not only his tag team partner, but a close friend and align himself with John Laurinaitis.
BREAK
Returning from the commercial break, a recap of what just transpired was shown as Evan Bourne betrayed his long time friend Kofi Kingston while forming an alliance with John Laurinaitis and David Otunga. Cutting backstage, the Laurinaitis and Otunga were shown walking into the GM's office, where Christian was still preparing for Edge's return tonight. "So Evan finally came to his senses?" asked Christian. Laurinaitis said that Evan made the right decision, and the kid has a very bright future, especially now that he's seen the light. And that light is "People Power."
Brodus Clay def. Curt Hawkins Last week, the Funkasaurus made his debut in a very impressive outing against JTG. This bout wasn't much different, but Brodus was able to continue his roll as he caught Hawkins with a huge What The Funk to pick up the victory.
Brodus quickly stood up to his feet as he raised his arms in victory, grabbing his second victory on Monday Night RAW. The Funkadactyls joined him as the three danced int he ring, the disco ball hovering over them.
At this time, cameras showed John Cena at his home in Tampa as in a few moments, we will hear from him via satellite about his suspension that was handed down to him by WWE COO, Triple H.
BREAK
A promo was shown for SmackDown this Friday. After Mark Henry assaulted AJ two weeks ago, Daniel Bryan let all of his frustrations out this past Friday. This week, Bryan and Henry will sign the contract for their match in two weeks at the Royal Rumble. Can Bryan keep his composure, or will the World's Strongest Man provoke the darker side of Mr. Money In The Bank? SmackDown is this Friday on SyFy.
Returning to the arena, John Cena was shown on the titantron via satellite from his Tampa home. "What do you know? It's me bringing it....via satellite," said Cena. Michael Cole asked Cena for his thoughts on his suspension. Cena said that there's not much he can say other than that it sucks. This a very crucial time in the WWE. The Road to WrestleMania is about to begin, and Triple H decided to suspend him. Cole then asked Cena if he feels that Triple H's judgement was too harsh? Cena stated that he didn't feel any judgement was needed. He respects the hell out of Hunter, but suspending was cowardly-act by the COO. "To be fair, John, you did lay your hands on him," said Cole. Cena said that he didn't want to because as he said, he respects Hunter. But when you talk down on him, his fans, and everything that he stands for, he's going to stand up for himself. His suspension is over the day after the Royal Rumble, but who knows. Maybe he'll show up then, maybe next Monday, maybe he'll sit out like a good boy. The only thing that's for sure is that when he does step foot back into a WWE ring, he's got a lot to say to Mr. COO.
Dolph Ziggler def. Rob Van Dam A very solid bout to close out the action side of RAW. With these two heading into the Royal Rumble match in two weeks, momentum was huge here. Especially for Dolph after coming off of a loss in his WWE Championship match last week. As Van Dam was preparing for the Five Star Frog Splash, a loud horn could be heard as Alberto Del Rio drove out to the arena. This distracted Van Dam enough for Ziggler to pull him off of the turnbuckle and plant him with a Zig Zag to get the victory.
Ziggler rolled out of the ring as he shouted "Rumble is mine!" Alberto Del Rio could be shown peaking out of his car window, smiling at the sight of Van Dam in pain.
Backstage, John Laurinaitis, David Otunga, and Christian were shown in Johnny's office when a worker walked in, letting Christian know that Edge has arrived. He quickly exited the room to make his way to the ring. Otunga then asked Laurinaitis if he has made any special decisions regarding Saturday Night's Main Event in six days. Laurinaitis said that he spoke with Teddy Long not too long ago, and they were able to come up with something special. This Saturday, there will be a 10-Man Battle Royal featuring participants in the Royal Rumble Match. And the prize for the winner - the #30 entry number.
BREAK
A promo was show for the Royal Rumble, live Sunday January 29th, only on Pay-Per-View.
Returning from the commercial break, the theme of Christian hit as Captain Charisma made his way down to the ring. The No.1 contender for the WWE Championship was all smiles as the return of Edge is only moments. He grabbed a microphone as he told everyone to sit down and keep their mouths shut because they're about sit in the presence of a legend. "So without further ado, my best friend and the man who will present me with the WWE Championship at the Royal Rumble, Edge!" The audience erupted as Edge's theme hit and smoke filled the stage. The Rated R Superstar made his way out the stage, overwhelmed by the reception. He stepped into the ring as he shared a hug with Christian. Captain Charisma told Edge that it's great to see him back in a WWE ring, and it's even better to see the two of them together again. But what's really, really great is that at the Royal Rumble, he will be the man to count CM Punk's shoulders down and hand him the WWE Championship. Edge cut Christian off there, telling him that he needs to understand something. They may be best friends, but when it comes to the WWE, it's not about relationships. It's about business. And he hates to break it to Christian, but he's not handing anybody anything. He's going to be a fair referee and call it down the middle. The audience popped as Christian's smile instantly turned to a look of disgust. Before he could say anything, "Cult of Personality" blasted as the WWE Champion CM Punk made his way down to the ring. "I'm not stupid, Edge. You claim you're going to be a fair referee, and when I'm not expecting it, you screw me out of my WWE Championship." Edge told Punk that he can believe what he wants, but he's only telling the truth when he says that he will calling the match down the middle. Punk asked Edge why he should believe anything he says? "You helped Christian win the World Heavyweight Championship last year, and I know you're going to attempt to do the same with my WWE Championship." Edge seemed to be getting fed up with Punk's words at this point. Suddenly, Punk delivered a slap across Edge's face. "Give me one reason why I should believe you?" shouted Punk as Edge stared at him intensively. Christian's face lit up at the sight of this bickering, knowing that it could be affecting Edge's decision to call the match down the middle. Edge told Punk that he does intend to call the match down the middle, but he's not going to forget that slap. "So you're going to screw me. As if I didn't already know that," said Punk as he let his microphone hit the mat before leaving. The WWE Champion made his way back up the entrance ramp, both Edge and Christian staring on at him. Edge has stated that he will be a fair referee at the Royal Rumble, but have CM Punk's actions altered his decision?

WWE Superstars 1/19 Taping Results Hunico def. Yoshi Tatsu Jinder Mahal def. Ezekiel Jackson in a Royal Rumble Qualifying Match
A video package opened tonight's show recapping the events from last week's show. After Mark Henry attacked AJ two weeks ago, Daniel Bryan was an emotional mess as he tore Johnny Curtis apart, refusing to release his LeBell Lock after an uncharacteristic attack. Royal Rumble opponents Kane and Cody Rhodes met face to face in the ring, Kane declaring his hatred for Cody through his mask "charade." And finally, a chaotic main event as the returning Chris Jericho battled the Intercontinental Champion, Sheamus. After involvement from Drew McIntyre caused the disqualification finish, Randy Orton hit the scene and immediately targeted Jericho.
Cutting directly to the arena here in Las Vegas, the ring was shown ready for the contract signing between Mark Henry and Daniel Bryan. The World's Strongest Man was out first, the first we've seen him since assaulting a defenseless AJ backstage. SmackDown's Mr. Money In The Bank was out next to a warm reception from Vegas. Bryan and Henry stared at one another intensively as they were overlooked by SmackDown General Manager, Teddy Long. He stated that because of the tension between the both of them, he cannot afford to have an altercation occur with just nine days until the Royal Rumble. Therefore, neither Bryan or Henry can lay a finger on each other. If that rule is not obeyed, then Mark Henry will see a six month no-pay suspension, and Bryan's Money In The Bank contract will be nullified. Henry told Bryan that he'll gladly obey that rule, since he already got his shot in on Bryan's pipsqueak girlfriend. Bryan was ready to go after Henry right then, but knew of the consequences if he did so. He simply kept quiet and picked up the pen to sign the contract. "I bet you want this match bad, don't you Daniel?" said Henry. Bryan told him that he wants this match more than anyone can imagine. Henry said that if he wants it that bad, then he'd be willing to meet a demand of his. "Anything, Mark. Just as long as I get to kick your damn head in at the Royal Rumble." The audience popped as Henry simply smiled. He told Bryan that before he signs that contract, he should understand that he's signing not only his career, but his life away. And that's because he's announcing right here and right now that he'll only sign the contract if Bryan agrees to one stipulation - Steel Cage. Bryan dropped the pen on the table, recalling what happened the last time he and Henry met in a cage. "Last time I had you in a cage, I tore you apart. 3 World's Strongest Slams, and I tossed you through one of the cage's walls as you fell at the feet of my two most recent Hall Of Pain inductees, Big Show and AJ." Bryan picked up the pen and signed the contract. Henry laughed to himself before signing the contract. After Henry did so, Bryan grabbed his Money In The Bank briefcase and nailed Henry right on the top of his head with it, knocking out the World's Strongest Man. Bryan made it clear to Teddy Long that he didn't touch Henry, his briefcase did. Bryan stared down at Mark Henry, ready to meet him in a Steel Cage match in nine nights at the Royal Rumble.
A graphic was shown for tonight's main event. Chris Jericho and Drew McIntyre team up to take on the Intercontinental Champion Sheamus, and the man who Jericho meets in 24 hours at Saturday Night's Main Event, Randy Orton.
BREAK
Returning from the break, a graphic was shown for the 10-Man Battle Royal for Saturday Night's Main Event that was announced by John Laurinaitis this past Monday on RAW. Rob Van Dam, Alberto Del Rio, The Miz, Zack Ryder, John Morrison, Sin Cara, Wade Barrett, Dean Ambrose, Drew McIntyre, and Sheamus battle it out for the #30 entry in the Royal Rumble Match tomorrow night on Saturday Night's Main Event.
Sin Cara def. Heath Slater With all of the momentum in the world at the moment, Sin Cara was looking to continue his roll as he heads into both the Battle Royal tomorrow night and the Royal Rumble in nine days. This was Slater's chance to prove why he deserves to be viewed a Rumble favorite, but fell flat on his face (literally) as Cara forced him to submit to La Mistica.
Sin Cara celebrated his victory as Slater rolled out of the ring, failing to capture a victory over the Mexican Sensation for the third week in a row. Sin Cara continues to ride his wave of momentum as he hopes to capture the #30 entry spot tomorrow night on Saturday Night's Main Event.
Cutting backstage, Dean Ambrose was shown sitting on a crate as he rocked his head back and forth, sometimes hitting the wall. Soon, Johnny Curtis approached him, telling him he's a huge fan. Ambrose simply stared at him before asking if he needed something? Curtis told Ambrose that if he needs anything, he can take care of it for him. "Follow me, Jarred," said Ambrose, getting Curtis' name wrong.
BREAK
Cutting back to the arena, the theme of Dean Ambrose hit as he made his way out to the ring along with Johnny Curtis. He grabbed a microphone, tapping it rather violently to make sure it worked. He said that many people are doubting him heading into the Royal Rumble next Sunday. The main reason being that he's "too new." Sure, that may be true. But he's "too good" to be counted out. In just a few short weeks, he has made a bigger impact than anyone else in the WWE. People want to talk about Edge being the referee, or Evan Bourne betraying Kofi Kingston, or Chris Jericho returning, or Kane and Cody Rhodes. There's only one thing they'll be talking about when the clock strikes midnight and the 29th becomes the 30th. And that's Dean Ambrose standing tall in the middle of the ring with a first class ticket to the main event of WrestleMania 28. "And to further prove my point, I've brought Joseph along." Curtis tried to tell him that his name is Johnny, but Ambrose clearly didn't care. "For everyone who stands in my way in the Royal Rumble match..." said Ambrose before kicking Curtis in the mid section and then proceeding to deliver a Knee Trembler to him. "They get a knee right to their damn temple!" Ambrose then picked up Curtis and tossed him over the top rope, shouting "And then they're tossed over the top rope as their dreams die and mines comes to fruition!" He said that even though he will be competing in the Battle Royal tomorrow night on Saturday Night's Main Event, it's just a mere bonus. It doesn't matter if he's 30th or if he's 1st. He will win the Royal Rumble, become champion at WrestleMania, and take the WWE on a roller coaster that expands from hell to the heavens and back into his world.
Backstage, World Heavyweight Champion Kane was shown in a dark-lit room, putting on his metallic mask before leaving the room. He meets Wade Barrett next on SmackDown.
BREAK
A promo was shown for Saturday Night's Main Event, live tomorrow night on NBC.
World Heavyweight Champion Kane def. Wade Barrett via DQ A solid bout to round out the first hour. The World Heavyweight Champion doing battle with the man who last week guaranteed victory in the Royal Rumble Match. As Kane was preparing for a Chokeslam, Cody Rhodes hit the ring and caught the Big Red Monster behind his knee cap, forcing the referee to call for the bell.
Rhodes stomped away on Kane before Barrett was back on his feet, joining the attack. After delivering Wasteland, Barrett made his way up the ramp as Kane slowly stirred to his feet. Rhodes grabbed the World Heavyweight Championship and leveled Kane in the skull with it. Cody stood over Kane as he raised the World Championship high in the air, perhaps a glimpse of what could happen in nine days at the Royal Rumble.
A graphic was shown for tonight's main event. Randy Orton and Intercontinental Champion Sheamus team up to battle Chris Jericho and Drew McIntyre just 24 hours before the Viper and Y2J settle the score at Saturday Night's Main Event.
BREAK
At this time, the RAW Rebound was shown. The video package focused on two specific events. The first being the tag team match with Air Boom against John Laurinaitis and David Otunga, where Evan Bourne betrayed his friend and tag team partner to align himself with "People Power." Later on in the show, the Rated R Superstar Edge would make his return to RAW, disappointing Christian by telling him that he will call the WWE Championship match down the middle at the Royal Rumble. CM Punk saw things a bit differently, interrogating Edge as he felt that he was being set up by the two bets friends. With Punk putting himself on Edge's bad side, will he keep his word and play fair at the Royal Rumble?
Justin Gabriel and Tyson Kidd def. WWE Tag Team Champions Epico and Primo With a good amount of time given to it, this proved to be a very exciting and fast-paced non title bout. With Hunico at ringside, it looked to be in the favor of the reigning champions, but Gabriel and Kidd wouldn't let him become a factor as Gabriel was able to roll Primo up out of nowhere and get the victory.
Gabriel and Kidd both rolled out of the ring as Hunico, Epico, and Primo looked on in complete disbelief. In their first match as a unit, Gabriel and Kidd have scored a pinfall victory over the WWE Tag Team Champions. They made their way up the ramp as the celebrated their victory, leaving the champions livid in the ring.
Backstage, Cody Rhodes was shown walking around with a huge grin on his face, very pleased with his actions moments ago towards the World Heavyweight Champion, Kane. SmackDown GM Teddy Long approached Cody, informing him why he shouldn't be overexcited about what happened tonight. Tomorrow night on Saturday Night's Main Event, he will be teaming up with Dolph Ziggler to take on the team of Daniel Bryan and the WWE Champion, CM Punk.
BREAK
Natalya def. Tamina via Submission This past Monday on RAW, Divas Champion Beth Phoenix sent a huge message to Natalya, using her own Sharpshooter submission hold to defeat Kelly Kelly. Tonight, the daughter of the Anvil was able to answer back as she forced Tamina to submit to the Sharpshooter.
Following the match, Natalya took no time celebrating as she grabbed a microphone. She said that lately, she's been able to get into the head of Beth Phoenix. She knows that the "You tapped out" chants have gotten to her, and she's on edge about their title match at the Royal Rumble. Since they keep sending messages back and forth through submission moves, why don't they make make their Divas Champion match a bit more interesting. She's laying out the challenge right now to Beth for a Submission Match at the Royal Rumble, and she wants an answer this Monday on RAW.
Cutting backstage, Intercontinental Champion Sheamus was shown making his way down to the ring. He and Randy Orton team up to take on Chris Jericho and Drew McIntyre in our main event, next.
BREAK
A promo was shown for the Royal Rumble, live in nine days, only on Pay-Per-View.
Randy Orton and Intercontinental Champion Sheamus def. Chris Jericho and Drew McIntyre A huge tag team bout to close out this edition of SmackDown. With Drew McIntyre vying for a shot at the Intercontinental Championship, this was his chance to prove himself worthy. And the Sinister Scotsman did so with a stellar performance. For Jericho and Orton, their only goal in this match was to get the upperhand before their match in just 24 hours. As McIntyre was going for the tag, Jericho hopped off of the ring apron and slowly made his way up the ramp. With McIntyre left alone, he turned around into a Brogue Kick, followed by an RKO as Orton covered him to get the victory.
As the audience popped, Orton kept his eyes locked on Jericho, who did the same from the entrance. In just 24 hours, the two of them finally go one on one. It's 15 months in the making tomorrow night on Saturday Night's Main Event.
Cutting to the parking lot, Cody Rhodes was shown walking towards his vehicle, furious that he will be having to compete in a tag team match tomorrow night. When he opened his trunk, Kane's hand emerged and grabbed his neck. The World Heavyweight Champion stepped out of the trunk as Cody fought desperately to get away. He was able to push Kane into the car, giving him some time to quickly jump in and speed away from the Big Red Monster. Kane watched as Rhodes drove away, not wanting to wait until the Royal Rumble in nine days to get his hands on him.

January 21st, 2012 | Fargo, ND "Renegade" - Daughtry
Prior to the intro video package, Chris Jericho was shown briefly, discussing how he finally gets his revenge on Randy Orton tonight. After sitting back for 15 months, he's going to give the Viper a taste of his own poison. Next was Intercontinental Champion Sheamus, who stated that tonight's Battle Royal means everything to him. Not only is he looking for that incredible momentum boost, but at the #30 entry spot, there's no way the Great White would be stopped on his way to adding more gold to his waist at WrestleMania. United States Champion Zack Ryder was next, saying that Sheamus is cool and all, but there's only one champion who will be adding more gold to his waist at WrestleMania, and that's Long Island Iced Z. He's winning tonight's Battle Royal and will fist pump everyone's face at the Royal Rumble. Finally, we saw Randy Orton as he spoke about his match with Chris Jericho tonight. He said that since his last Punt failed to get the job done, he's going to make sure that Chris Jericho's world is the one that will end as we know it.
After the brand new intro, pyro blasted from the stage as cameras showed the red hot Fargo audience in capacity. The commentary unit of Michael Cole, Jerry "The King" Lawler, and Booker T welcomed everyone to the return of Saturday Night's Main Event. In what can only be described as 15 months in the making, Randy Orton and Chris Jericho will finally do battle one on one. Along with that, we will also see a 10-Man Battle Royal featuring some of the favorites in next Sunday's Royal Rumble Match. The winner will be rewarded with the #30 entry spot. Plus, we will hear from Evan Bourne, who shocked the entire WWE Universe last Monday on RAW when he betrayed Kofi Kingston to align himself with John Laurinaitis and "People Power." But first, we kick off tonight's show with a huge tag team match.
WWE Champion CM Punk and Daniel Bryan def. Cody Rhodes and Dolph Ziggler Arguably the most talent-filled tag team match we've seen in quite some time. With Punk's WWE Title defense, Bryan's chance at revenge against Mark Henry, Rhodes' World Title shot, and the Royal Rumble Match for Ziggler all coming one week from tomorrow, the stakes were high in terms of momentum. After Bryan delivered a Suicide Dive onto Cody, Punk finished off Ziggler with a GTS to pick up the victory.
The audience popped as Punk was handed the WWE Championship. He and Bryan raised each other's arms, standing tall and celebrating their win with the audience here in Fargo. Their celebration won't last long as they head into the Royal Rumble next Sunday facing arguably their toughest challenges yet. Bryan meet Mark Henry in a Steel Cage Match, and CM Punk will be defending the gold against Christian, and possibly the guest referee, Edge.
As Punk and Bryan were making their way up the entrance ramp, Michael Cole stood up from the announce table and picked up a microphone. "Can I have your attention please?" he said as the audience responded with a chorus of boos. Cole said that last year, he defeated his broadcast colleague Jerry Lawler at WrestleMania, beginning a streak of his own at 1-0. This year, he plans to extend that streak to 2-0. But he's not going to do it in just any fashion. Earlier today, the Executive Vice President of Talent Relations and RAW General Manager Mr. John Laurinaitis granted him something - a Royal Rumble qualifying match live tonight. So he's going to go to the back, get ready for his match, and meet his unfortunate opponent later on tonight. Cole made his way up the entrance ramp, leaving Lawler, Booker, and the entire audience stunned at the fact that he has the opportunity tonight to qualify for the Royal Rumble.
BREAK
Returning from the commercial break, Josh Mathews was shown at the announce table to replace Michael Cole, who just announced that he will be competing in a Royal Rumble qualifying match later on tonight. "I hope whoever he faces eats him up," said Booker T.
The theme of Evan Bourne hit as he made his way out to the stage, a much more negative reception than usual for him. After turning on the other half of Air Boom, Kofi Kingston, one can only imagine what Evan is about to say. He grabbed a mic as the "You sold out" chants rang throughout the arena. Bourne said that if you had told him a few months that he would do what he did on RAW, he wouldn't have believed it for anything. For months, he considered Kofi Kingston to be his closest friend. As WWE Tag Team Champions, they had everything. They were on a roll. But then, things happened that changed everything. At first, he saw John Laurinaitis as a corporate, power hungry boss with the intentions of sabotaging he and Kofi's friendship. And you what? He did just that. But not in the way that everyone thinks. Since Monday, the entire WWE Universe has seen him as the "traitor" and the "bad guy" in all of this. It's funny that everyone seems to have forgotten that Kofi cheated to beat him at TLC. He knows why Kofi cheated, and that's because there was no other way to beat him. By pulling his tights, Kofi admitted that he was the star of Air Boom. The "Shawn Michaels" if you want to use that term. And after that, everything just came crashing down. Air Boom was on a downward spiral, and he knew what had to be done. If he wanted to ever see success again, his only option was to drop Kofi Kingston like a bad habit That's why about a week ago, he finally took Mr. Laurinaitis up on the offer he gave him and Kofi before Survivor Series. He now has fame, power, money, and the endorsement of the most powerful man on Monday Night RAW. And all it cost him was his friendship with Kofi Kingston, which isn't really even a loss at all. People can claim that he "sold out," but in actually, his actions are what will take his career to places that he could never reach with Kofi by his side. He doesn't regret a single thing, and is only focused on one thing now, and that's the Royal Rumble next Sunday. After he wins, he will go on to WrestleMania, become WWE Champion, and prove to the world that he doesn't need Kofi and never did. "And Kofi, on behalf of myself, David Otunga, and Mr. John Laurinaitis, we would just like to wish you the best of luck in all of your future endeavors."
Backstage, Rob Van Dam was shown making his way down to the ring. He's one of the 10 participants in the Battle Royal to determine who will enter the Royal Rumble at #30. It's up next on Saturday Night's Main Event.
BREAK
Returning to Saturday Night's Main Event, Daniel Bryan was shown in his locker room, apparently on the phone. "AJ, I don't care if the doctors say you're fine. You are not going to be at the Royal Rumble. Do you have any idea what Mark Henry would do to you if you were out there during the Cage Match?" A few seconds later, Bryan told AJ that he will see her sometime during the week, but that's it. He will not put her in harm's way again.
The Miz last eliminates Sheamus and Dean Ambrose to win the Battle Royal and earn the #30 Entry Spot in the Royal Rumble Match Moments after the bell sounded, United States Champion Zack Ryder and John Morrison were both eliminated simultaneously as they brawled near the ropes. They continued to do so on the outside as several referees restrained the two rivals. Eliminated next was Drew McIntyre after a Brogue Kick from the Intercontinental Champion, Sheamus. As Rob Van Dam was looking to hit Miz with a Five Star Frog Splash, Alberto Del Rio pushed him off as he hit the floor and bounces his head off of the barricade. Unfortunately for the Mexican Aristocrat, he didn't last much longer after Sin Cara pulled the ropes down, sending him flying over them. At that time, Sheamus delivered a Brogue Kick to Miz as he rolled under the bottom rope, not being eliminated yet. Sheamus, Dean Ambrose, Wade Barrett, and Sin Cara all took a corner before going after each other. It took a simultaneous Brogue Kick from Sheamus and Drop Kick from Sin Cara to eliminate Barrett. As Sheamus was catching his breath, Dean Ambrose quickly grabbed Cara and tossed him over. It looked as if Sheamus and Ambrose were the final two remaining. After a short battle, the both found themselves dangerously on the ring apron as they traded blows. Suddenly, The Miz rolled back into the ring and shoved the two of them off the ring apron, eliminating them and claiming victory.
Miz raised his arms in victory as he shouted at the audience, reminding them that the #30 entry spot in the Royal Rumble now belongs to him. Sheamus and Dean Ambrose looked on at him, feeling that they were robbed a victory. Just 5 days after apologizing to the world for his actions towards Mick Foley, The Miz is now heading into the Royal Rumble next Sunday as the #30 entrant and quite possibly, the favorite to win it all.
BREAK
Returning from the commercial break, a quick recap of The Miz's victory was shown as we now know that he will be the 30th entrant in this year's Royal Rumble Match. Cutting to a backstage camera, he was shown walking as Scott Stanford approached him, asking for his thoughts on his victory. Miz said that just one week ago, he had to stoop to a level he never imagined when he was forced to apologize for what he did to Mick Foley. Now, the world needs to apologize to him. They need to apologize for ever doubting him. He said on RAW that he would win the Royal Rumble, and it is now all but official. He's got the #30 entry spot, and is undoubtedly the favorite now. He will live up to his word and walk out of WrestleMania for the second year in a row as a champion.
Cutting back to the arena, Heath Slater was shown in the ring. He gave his speech that the WWE Universe has become familiar with over the past few weeks on SmackDown. He's not being the shown the respect that he deserves, and isn't even considered a possibly by the fans and the locker room when it comes to Royal Rumble winners. Well right now, he's going to shut everyone up. He's issuing an open challenge to anyone in the back right now. After a few seconds of silence, fire blasted from the stage as the lights shut. The theme of Kane hit as the World Heavyweight Champion marched down to the ring. Slater's expression told the entire story as he was not expecting the Big Red Monster to be the one to accept his challenge. Before the bell sounded, Cody Rhodes made his way down to the announce table. The No.1 Contender and World Heavyweight Champion kept their eyes on each other, just 8 days left until their championship bout at the Royal Rumble.
World Heavyweight Champion Kane def. Heath Slater While Slater managed to get a tad bit of offense in, this match was basically what everyone expected. Kane annihilated him throughout the entire course of the match, keeping his eyes on Cody Rhodes as he wanted his message to be loud and clear. After two Chokeslams, Kane finally covered Slater to get the victory.
Following the match, Kane and Rhodes continued to stare at one another as Kane paid no attention to the referee as he tried to hand him the World Heavyweight Championship. Instead, the Big Red Monster grabbed Slater and tossed him out to ringside. Cody quickly stood up from his chair, backing away as Kane continued to look at him. He grabbed Slater's throat and delivered a Chokeslam through the announce table! Cody made his way up the entrance as Kane did his fire taunt, letting Cody know that he will be put through hell in their World Heavyweight Championship match at the Royal Rumble.
A graphic was shown for tonight's main event. Randy Orton and Chris Jericho will finally go one on one, tonight on Saturday Night's Main Event.
BREAK
A promo was shown for this Monday's edition of RAW. After his comments last week towards Edge, is CM Punk now the target of not only the No.1 contender, Christian, but the special guest referee for the Royal Rumble as well?
Cutting back to the arena, the phrase "May I have your attention please?" was heard as Michael Cole made his way out to the ring in full ring gear. He said that earlier tonight, he announced to the world that he would be competing a Royal Rumble qualifying match here tonight. And just as he expected, he doesn't have an opponent yet. It's no surprise that nobody would be man enough to accept the challenge of the WrestleMania's only undefeated broadcast journalist. But, he's still looking for a match. So if anybody wants the shot of a lifetime and attempt to qualify for the Royal Rumble against him, be his guest.
Brodus Clay def. Michael Cole in a Royal Rumble Qualifying Match Michael Cole's challenge was answered by another undefeated superstar. That being that "Funkasaurus." Brodus Clay. After the bell sounded, Cole immediately tried to escape the ring. Brodus grabbed him by his singlet, bringing him back into the center of the ring. He acted as if he were willing to let Cole go, a huge sigh of relief coming from the "voice of the WWE." As Brodus was leaving the ring, he quickly slid back in and delivered a huge Running Splash onto Cole, covering him to get the victory.
Brodus raised his arms in victory as the Funkadactyls joined him in celebration, dancing over the motionless body of Michael Cole. For Brodus Clay, he will now have an opportunity to win the Royal Rumble and dance on the Road to WrestleMania.
Chris Jericho was shown making his way down to the ring. He meets Randy Orton next in our main event.
BREAK
A promo was shown for the Royal Rumble, live next Sunday, only on Pay-Per-View.
Prior to the beginning of the main event, the commentary unit were shown still laughing uncontrollably after Michael Cole's Royal Rumble dreams were crushed, literally, by Brodus Clay. Josh Mathews then informed the viewers at home of information straight from the office of John Laurinaitis. Because of what happened in the 10-Man Battle Royal earlier tonight, Zack Ryder will defend the United States Championship against John Morrison in a Falls Count Anywhere Match this Monday on RAW.
Randy Orton def. Chris Jericho A fantastic way to close tonight's show, and bring an end to this 15-month rivalry. Tons of near falls as Jericho began to grow incredibly frustrated. It got to the point where he attempted to, as he said he would, give the Viper a taste of his own poison. He was looking to deliver a Punt Kick to Orton, but the Viper grabbed Jericho's leg and locked him in his own Walls of Jericho. He was able to scratch and claw his way to the ropes as Orton began to coil for the RKO. When Jericho turned around, he was able to push Orton away. He went for a Codebreaker, but Orton was able to prevent as Jericho's back didn't touch the mat. With a tight grip still on Jericho's legs, Orton was able to toss him into the air and bring him back down to the mat with an RKO, covering him to get the victory.
The audience erupted as Orton raise his arms in victory, ecstatic about finally putting Chris Jericho in his place. While the announcers put over Jericho's performance in this bout, it was the Viper's time to shine. Orton did his signature pose on the second turnbuckle as he can now put the rivalry with Jericho behind him and focus on the Royal Rumble in his hometown of St. Louis, where he will have an opportunity to repeat history and stand tall over 29 other superstars.

Ryan <3 Glad to see you still doing this; definitely one of my favourite diaries.
First of all, great to see Saturday Night's Main Event return. I always enjoy those shows. Chris Jericho returning for revenge on Randy Orton makes the most sense and I look forward to their match later on. A great way to kick things off with these four guys, and a CM Punk/Daniel Bryan team is godly when they're both babyfaces, a good job they won. Oh this is brilliant, Michael Cole in a Royal Rumble qualifying match. This new Evan Bourne is certainly interesting, I could see him going far. Bleh, The Miz as #30 is fine as long as he doesn't win. If he does, I'll cry. An obvious victory for Kane over Heath Slater, and I'm looking forward to his encounter with Cody Rhodes, as odd as it may be. A great victory for Brodus Clay, obvious that Michael Cole wasn't getting in. Finally, a good victory for Randy Orton, finally putting this feud with Chris Jericho to rest. An entertaining event, for sure.
