A video package airs highlighting the past ten years of Total Non-Stop Action. This video package leads into the build-up of all of tonight's matches.
The Motor City Machine Guns vs. Samoa Joe & Magnus : The match opened with Alex Shelley and Samoa Joe exchanging holds, but Samoa Joe would get the advantage by knocking Shelley down with a shoulder block. This would allow Joe to control the match for a few moments, until Shelley mounted a comeback and tagged in Chris Sabin. Sabin took the fight to Samoa Joe and turned the tables into the Machine Gun's favor, but Joe would quickly attack the previously injured leg of Chris Sabin. Joe would work over the leg with a series of submission holds, yet Sabin refused to tap. Joe would lock in a single leg boston crab, but Sabin would get to the ropes forcing a rope break. Sabin rolled to the arena floor and clutched his knee in pain, but this doesn't stop Samoa Joe who followed Sabin onto the floor. Joe was unable to get in offense in, as Alex Shelley came around the ring and went after Joe. This allowed Chris Sabin a few moments to recover the best he could, before rolling back into the ring. Shelley tossed Joe back into the ring, who quickly made the tag to Magnus. Magnus tried to pick-up where his partner left off – working over Sabin's leg – but Sabin got the advantage over Magnus. Sabin would tag in Shelley a few moments later, as they would get in a few tag-team combos. They would set-up for the Skull and Bones, but Samoa Joe would push Shelley off the top rope, causing him to crash into the guard rail. Samoa Joe then went over Chris Sabin, hitting a chop block on Sabin's injured leg. This would set-up Magnus hitting the Mag Daddy Driver, for the victory!
Winners: Samoa Joe & Magnus Samoa Joe and Magnus would celebrate their victory, while Mike Tenay and Taz talked about how that has to open up a future TNA World Tag Team title match.
Backstage, Jeremy Borash interviewed Gail Kim about her Knockout's Title match later tonight. Kim was her usual confident self, proclaiming that Brooke stood no chance of taking the Knockout Championship from Gail Kim.
Crimson's Open Challenge : Crimson came down to the ring and hyped his undefeated streak, proclaiming that nobody in the locker room wanted to face him. He demanded the official declare him the winner, but the music of Matt Morgan stopped that from happening. Morgan hit the ring and was fired up from the opening bell. He quickly went to work over Crimson, who put him out of action for a few weeks. Crimson would attempt a spear, but Morgan would side-step it. Morgan would nail the Carbon Footprint to pick up the victory and end the undefeated streak of Crimson!
Winner: Matt Morgan A video package aired showing highlights of the Brooke Tessmacher vs. Gail Kim feud.
Gail Kim [c] vs. Brooke Tessmacher for the TNA Knockouts Championship Brooke Tessmacher came into Slammiversary with a head of steam, similar to last month's Sacrifice. Tessmacher would go to work on the champion, but the experience factor of the champion would come into play. Gail Kim took everything Brooke threw at her, yet refused to stay down for the challenger. This seemed to frustrate Tessmacher, which allowed Kim to hit the Eat Defeat for the victory.
Winner: Gail Kim – Still Knockouts Champion Jeremy Borash is backstage with Bully Ray, who bullies Jeremy for a minute. Bully Ray says that he may [or may not] had a hand in the disappearance of Abyss a few weeks ago, but even if he did.. that was nothing compared to what Ray was going to do to Abyss tonight.
A video package airs showing highlights of the Bully Ray vs. Abyss feud.
Abyss vs. Bully Ray : “The Monster” Abyss made his entrance first, only to be jumped by Bully Ray during said entrance. This would lead to the two men brawling throughout the Texas arena, before finding their way backstage. Mike Tenay and Taz reminded the viewers that falls count anywhere in the building. They would come into the catering area where Ray would slam Abyss head first into the kitchen door, before trying to burn Abyss' arm on the stove. Abyss would fight it off and would in return, toss Bully Ray halfway across the kitchen. Abyss took control from here as the two brawled through the arena hallways before ending up outside in the parking lot. This is where most of the match would take place, as the two used everything in sight to destroy one another. Ray would slam Abyss head first into a car's hood. Ray is now mocking Abyss' by yelling that he is no longer a monster and should have never came back. Abyss has yet to use a single weapon, which is unlike his monster style. Bully Ray and Abyss would fight onto the top of a platform with Bully Ray in control, but Abyss would use a headbutt to knock Ray down. The two are standing on the platform when a man – with his back to the camera – walks up screaming Abyss' name. The mystery man makes almost a clicking motion with his hand and yells “Click, Doomsday!” which seems to turn Abyss into his old-self.. as he grabs Bully Ray by the throat, pulling up off the platform, and then chokeslams Ray off the platform through a table. Abyss would climb down the platform and get the pin fall to win the match.
Winner: Abyss The mystery man raises Abyss hand and faces the camera, revealing it to be the returning James Mitchell. Mike Tenay and Taz speculate why James Mitchell has returned to TNA Wrestling.
AJ Styles and Kurt Angle vs. Christopher Daniels and Kazarian [c] for the TNA World Tag Team Championship : The match kicks off with AJ Styles and Christopher Daniels with Styles just going on the offense with a flurry of punches. Styles seemed to be different person at the start of this match, wasn't resorting to his normal highflying offense. He used more of a ground attack, seemingly wanting to punish Daniels for the past few weeks. Styles would tag in Angle, allowing Angle to get some offense in against Daniels, before Daniels fought Angle off. Daniels would take control with a thumb to the eye, Daniels trash talked Kurt Angle before working over the previously injured neck of Angle. Kazarian would get the tag in and take control of the match, using the same method of Daniels of working on the neck of Angle. Kazarian was ready to end the match as he went for the “Fade to Black”, but Angle rolled through with a roll-up and turned it into an ankle lock. Kazarian was almost forced to tap out, but Daniels saved his partner by hitting a double axehandle to the back of Angle. AJ Styles went after Daniels and the official lost all control of the match, just throwing his hands up and letting them go at it. The four men fighting around the ringside area would result in AJ Styles being rammed headfirst into the ring-post. Allowing Daniels and Kazarian to double team Kurt Angle. While Daniels and Kazarian were double-teaming Angle, they didn't notice the recovered AJ Styles climbing into the ring. They would take notice when AJ Styles came crashing down on top of them with the Shooting Styles! Styles tossed Kazarian back into the ring along with Angle, but Angle seemed to be knocked loopy and couldn't get to the cover. Daniels would recover on the floor and pull Styles off the apron, sending him head first into the apron. This would allow Daniels to climb into the ring and hit Angle with the “Angel Wings” and toss Kazarian onto angle, for the victory.
Winners: Kazarian and Christopher Daniels (still TNA Tag Team Champions) Austin Aries [c] vs. Kid Kash for the TNA X-Division Championship : The two lock-up in the center of the ring to start the contest, with the two exchanging a few chain wrestling moves. Kash would take the early control of the match with a snapnare, followed by Kash locking in a sleeper hold on the defending champion. Aries seemed to be fading, but the fans rallied behind him and he mounted a small comeback. A flurry of moves would come to an end with a knee to the midsection by Kash to Aries. This would bring out – almost – a viscous side of of Kash who worked almost more of a mixed martial arts style during the match than he previously has. Taz speculated Kash has changed his style to throw the champion off his game, but Aries wasn't thrown off too bad as he made another come back. This comeback stuck though as he took control as only the greatest man that ever lived could. Aries would remain in control and finish Kash off with the brianbuster to score the victory.
Winner: Austin Aries [still X-Division Champion] We see a few highlights from the match, followed by Mike Tenay and Taz sending us into a video package for the main event.
A video package airs with all four men in the main event for the TNA World Heavyweight Championship proclaiming that they would leave as champion.
Backstage, Bobby Roode is interviewed about the main event. He states that tonight will be just like every other championship defense he has had before: “The It Factor” will leave as World Heavyweight Champion. Christy Hemme brings up Jeff Jarrett as the special enforcer, but Roode says it doesn't matter who is at ringside.. the result will remain the same.
Mr. Anderson vs. Rob Van Dam. vs. Jeff Hardy vs. Bobby Roode [c] for the TNA World Heavyweight Championship : All four men make their entrance before Jeremy Borash does the “boxing style” introductions. The bell sounds and we expect Van Dam, Hardy, and Anderson to triple team Roode, but that doesn't happen. Instead, Hardy and Anderson turn their attention to Van Dam and double-team him. This allows Bobby Roode to hang around the ringside area and just bide his time, but Jeff Jarrett gets in his face and tells him to get back into the ring. Roode refuses to get back in, so Jarrett tosses him back in. Anderson turns around and goes off Roode, leaving Van Dam to be worked over by Jeff Hardy. Anderson takes Roode to the corner and puts a few boots to him, before smashing Roode in the face with a knee. In the other corner, Van Dam gets drop kicked by Jeff Hardy. Hardy and Anderson then face off against one another, as Van Dam and Roode roll to the floor holding their almost broken faces. Hardy takes the advantage over Anderson with his style of moves, but this doesn't stop Anderson who comes back at Hardy with a few stiff punches. This results in Anderson take advantage of Hardy and whipping him into the ropes, knocking Hardy down with a clothesline. While this is all going on, Bobby Roode has recovered from his kick to the face and is working over Rob Van Dam. Roode goes to take advantage of the rules of the match (No DQ) and use a chair, but Van Dam caught the chair and tossed it back at roode. Van Dam would then kick the chair back into Roode's face, knocking the champion almost out. About twelve minutes into the match, Mr. Anderson is in full control over Rob Van Dam. Jeff Hardy is seemingly finished off following a “Mic Check” by Anderson, but Van Dam didn't allow Anderson to go for the pin. Bobby Roode is still out on the arena floor from the chair shot by Van Dam earlier in the match. Van Dam would go for a kick on Anderson, but Anderson ducked and Van Dam kicked the referee square in the face. The official would fall out of the ring and without the referee.. Jeff Jarrett stepped up and took the referee's spot. Van Dam would then get nailed by the “Mic Check”, but when Anderson had Van Dam pinned, Bobby Roode “recovered” and pulled Anderson out the ring, ramming him headfirst into the ring post. Roode rolled into the ring and covered Van Dam, as Jeff Jarrett reluctantly counted to three.
Winner: Bobby Roode (still World Heavyweight Champion) Following the match, Bobby Roode celebrates another victory as World Heavyweight Champion. Jeff Jarrett is clearly unhappy and refuses to raise the hand of Bobby Roode, this results in Roode knocking Jarrett out with the TNA World Heavyweight Championship. Roode went back to celebrating as Anderson tries to recover on the floor, knowing that he just got screwed out of the TNA World Heavyweight Championship!
