I'm too young to have kids now but I do want to have kid(s) someday and if they would like we would possibly start a collection.

Love the videos! Thanks for sharing. Your son knows wrestling figures. When he rushed out to get Michael Cole, when he opened up Kane and commented "Awesome".... great stuff. Even plugged RSC.

I have 2 nephews (age 2 and age 1 week). I have put aside figures for them but they don't show much interest yet. lol. Hopefully the 2 year old likes them soon. Right now he just throws them at me. haha. Well actually my son's first action figure was John Cena (of course, right?). My wife bought him it when he was 3. He never really played with it because at the time he was mainly into Monster Jam Monster Trucks and Disney Pixar Cars. He didn't become interested until he was about to turn 5 years old. Hopefully you can spark your 2 year old's interest at an earlier age. Good luck man!

It was so great reading this. I just had a son on May 4th and I keep telling my girlfriend that's what me and him are gonna do. Of course she doesn't understand the excitement I express, but I can't wait till he's older and get him into it too. Congrats on your new son! You are in for the best experience ever man! There are so many great moments you have to cherish with your child. The first words, his first steps, his visits to amusement parks, zoos ect. Its really fun man. Enjoy it all and good luck to you and your partner! Cheers!

Your sons pretty cool he loved the kane =) He wanted this Kane for so long (like he says in the video), the only problem was the price! I bought the figure on eBay because RSC wore out of stock and have yet to announce their back order (restock?). He had to collect and save all his money to buy this figure. I think we paid about $64 for it. It's definitely the most expensive figure we have purchased. We usually only buy from retail stores unless I find a really good deal on eBay. Anyhow, He would love to go onto ringside collectibles and watch the video they have on the site for this figure. I forget the RSC dude's name but he wears Kane's mask and pretends to be guy! The video is hilarious. My son loves it!

Nice thread.
I collect with my son. He's 3 and loves WWE wrestling figures and watching WWE.
I started buying Mattel figures for him when he was 2, hes probably got about 150 figures at the moment, although I have slowed down on buying them as much at the moment due to the expense. He's also got an Elite Scale Ring, Elimination Chamber, Rumbler ring and Rumbler MITB set, with about 20 rumblers.
I started to collect for myself too after buying him the RTWM Rock, and thinking how cool it looked, so I bought a double for me to display. I then bought a few more and started my own collection - i've currently got about 120 figures for display.
I should upload some vids of my son playing as he cracks me up. He just copies what he sees on my WWE dvds. He loves DX at the moment and to see him sat playing, saying that 'Vince loves cocks' is hilarious. He has no idea what he's saying but I find it pretty funny - my girlfriend doesnt agree though!

That's awesome. I know a lot of people crap on PG, but seeing little kids get so happy over WWE and just loving it to death makes me glad it's kid friendly.

This is so cool! My son just turned 5 and I can finaly start to intro him to wrestling (per his mom having a huge gripe against the sport) I already got some random loose figs for him but I really dont know what to start him with either the current programing or older stuff on dvd.

Nice! I'd say let him watch the current program and allow him to discover his favorite wrestlers. Then you can slowly introduce the older stuff. At first, my son wouldn't like to watch any Bret Hart, Mr Perfect, Jake The Snake, or any other old school wrestling matches. But now he loves all wrestling. We have vast amount of DVDs we watch together. He is also slowly becoming interested in TNA wrestling.

My son loves all of the current superstars. I tried getting him to watch some classic WWF from when I was a kid, but the matches are too slow-paced, and it was only watching it with him when I realised just how much it had evolved. He does like more classic wrestlers now, and will watch some older stuff, but this is down more to playing WWE Allstars on PS3 and seeing the wrestlers on there.

Must be awesome having a hobby and something you can relate to with your son, even if he is only 5! Could only dream of having that one day, the excitement on his face opening that Kane is absolutely priceless! Never seen it before but it looks a fantastic figure.

How about the other way around? I collect with my dad. Actually I do the collecting. He jsut sits there and tells me to grow up and stop wasting my money on toys. Yeah, tells me to grow up and stop wasting money meanwhile he is usually smoking a cigarette while telling me that. Hey dad, how about you grow up and start doing meth like a real man. No, not a good idea? Gotcha.

Yeah! I started collecting wrasslers when I was about 7. My brother and I collected until we were about 16-17 years old. Then we grew up and stopped collecting for years... now at 28 years old I have a 1 year old son. He had his first birthday a few days ago, and for it, I decided to start up the collection again! On top of that I still have all my Jakks WWF, WCW, and ECW Figs from back in the day that I've been saving for him too! I'm having such a blast collecting these figures again. So far we have British Bulldog, Brian Pillman, and Jake The Snake Roberts. But I just bought Mr. Perfect, Tatanka, and Roddy Piper. We also have a Battle Pack Legends vs Superstars Macho man vs CM Punk for trade if anybody is interested.
