Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart was a decent enough wrestler and was definitely over with the fans.
Here's a match with Ric Flair. Not bad, if you ask me.

IMO Barett is crape on the mic.thats all Ill say about him in the classic board. man there was never gonna be any version of the Hart Foundation when Bret left after the screwjob..... look what happened to Owen......buried.I know you didnt mean it....buuuuuuut?   |

Vince wanted to push Owen as Canada's greatest wrestler. Shawn Michaels wouldn't allow it, by the time he'd been losing to HHH who at the time was a mid carder he couldn't recover to be Canada's greatest wrestler. |

I'm meh on him. I think he cut good promos and was a solid hand but I can't say I was a fan either. I would agree he got Bret through a lot of the early stuff when Bret didn't bring much to the table from an out of ring standpoint. I always liked the idea of Anvil and Owen, shame we didn't get to see too much of that dynamic, or at least not enough of it imo.

Neidhart helped get that team over big time. Bret was a great technical wrestler but couldn't talk worth $hit. Neidhart was the powerhouse of the Hart Foundation and was absolutely hilarious on the mic.

I think Russo phoned Bret and asked him what he planned to do help Owen, not 5 minutes after their conversation ended McMahon phones Bret and tells him that if he interferes with Owen's contract then he would sue him "with a smile on his face". |
