No, but if you want to appease a minority throw it in as a 1 of 1,000, 1 of 5,000 or a BAF (though a BAF may be pushing it as its sole intention is to get people to purchase figures they would not normally).
Lets face the facts. The Mattel design team admitted no Legends figures except Warrior, Macho and Rock have sold well. Do you honestly think Magnum would sell more than Andre, DDP & Arn??? I highly doubt it!
(Note, I am discrediting Magnum as a performer. It is just a matter of circumstance and time.)

I was not just singling you out I never do that unless someone makes a horrible statement which some on here have done before. I just for one believe that its a huge honor for the wrestler to have a figure made of them as it mean their image will live through out time and I believe their were guys that didn't deserve figures over Magnum T A. I would love a natural disaster set but Mattel stated neither has been signed yet and maybe they could replace cena orton or rey version 22 of them and just short pack a Magnum TA. LOL

Well I will say this if Mattel ever checks this thread you will see some of us want ti and some don't The ones who want it. want it to either build a custom figure or to have a FIGURE NEVER EVER PRODUCED EVER. Collectors who like to collect all the world champion or US champion figures dont have a complete list without a few guys but he is one that will help us get closer. The ones that don't are probably younger fans maybe a little older and only ever watched what wwe offered. I grew up watching them but at 20 I decided to expand and look at other stuff as well. just a suggestion. They would rather have another hbk or taker to go with our already 1,000 plus figures of them. like they will never see another taker or hbk in their lifetime. They are HOF bound you will see them til the day they pass or wwe goes out of business. I hope they keep this guy around and maybe decide to give him the light of day. I remember Juventud being shown then they up and cancelled him different company same dissapointment. make it a k-mart exclusive, a mail away, toys r us even don't let newer fans decide not to make classics because they are not cena's or someone that didn't do much for the business I like ideas on here but i would rather have a figure never produced then someone else that has figures because they didnt have the right attire choice. want earthquake and typhoon they have them in jakks lol and they are pretty accurate You can talk this subject to death, but it ultimately comes down to Mattel's ability to make money. Guys like HBK, Undertaker, Macho Man, those guys make money, lots of it. Current fans don't know who the Magnum TA is anymore, which is a problem from a sales perspective. If I was Mattel, I'd sink Magnum TA until I could figure out a way to force people who don't want him to buy him, like with a BAF. If I can't do that, or I think it's too big of a risk, then I don't release him at all. Even a Ringside Exclusive would require a few thousand figures being produced. Can you honestly tell me you think Magnum TA will sell 3000 pieces on Ringside? I sure as hell don't have that kind of faith in the guy. TA hasn't even wrestled a match since 86, which is well before a majority of the fan base was even born. So we get it, you want the figure, but I genuinely think you're in the large minority.

Look at the figure !!! custom people screams this guy I would buy him for him then buy for scott hall who will never be released. barry windham sycho sid the list goes on. his figure is not too out dated that you couldnt throw it in with newer guys red trunks cowboy boots I think jamie noble and cowboy James storm wrestle in that type of attire. look all I know is awhile back CM Punk was shown in a arm sleeve then got cancelled people made a fuss and boom it was released people dont want him as a mass produce fine short pack him and the 27 that said no save a few bucks while we who said yes snag 3 or 4 and make guys mattel will never do cause of the younger collectors only wanting wwe guys from attitude era which was a limited amount of wrestlers looking back.

I would love a natural disaster set but Mattel stated neither has been signed yet and maybe they could replace cena orton or rey version 22 of them and just short pack a Magnum TA. LOL First, a wrestler's image will live on just as long with a Best of DVD as it will a figure, and a good number of people on this forum only know Magnum from his excerpt in the Rise and Fall of WCW DVD. So that argument doesn't really hold up TOO well. Second, it's a business. It doesn't matter who "deserves" a figure. It matters whether it will sell well or not. I don't know how many versions of their exclusives that ringside actually sells. Is it 100, 500? More? Can this figure sell as many as an exclusive Punk or Stone Cold? He doesn't seem on par with them either. I just don't see a market for him anywhere.

no what so good about magnum ta If you dont know....then look it up. You could very easily be talking about Magnum TA in the same breath as Hulk Hogan, Ric Flair and Steve Austin if it wasnt for a car wreck.

It's about selling. A clown will at least get a second glance from a kid. This guy looks like he lost his shirt in a bar fight. No real appeal to the vast majority of buyers of the WWE product. And that includes a lot of legends collectors. Was Magnum more important, more talented, etc than Doink. I don't know, we'll just say for argument sake that he was. But he's got nothing to offer. And I'm sorry, but why would people want to have to research someone just to feel justified in buying his figure? Either you're a completist and you will buy him anyway or you'll pass on him because he predates most of us, and he wrestled for a company before it hit its peak. Maybe if the guy could've managed some wrestlers well into the Monday Night Wars era then he'd have more recognition, but he pretty much dropped off the face of the wrestling earth after the mid-80s. Again, I'm sorry to say this, but to quote The Replacements, Magnum TA isn't a has been, he's a never was. It may have been the injury that kept him out, but he was kept out. Just like an old high school football player we all thought was soooo special and "would've gone pro if he didn't tear up his knee" or "do drugs." We love the idea of a guy who COULD have been a super star.

Didn't notice the more than one before I voted as I'd definitely get at least another for a Barry Windham custom.

Put him as one of the figures needs for the BAF Teddy or Johnny. This way people would have to buy him if they wanted to build Teddy or Johnny. Plus he'd be a TRU exclusive so he'd be produced in less numbers than if he was in a mass Elite series. that would also help his sales. Hell he'd probably be the only one I bought from the wave seeing I don't want Teddy or Johnny

Hell he'd probably be the only one I bought from the wave seeing I don't want Teddy or Johnny Here's an idea, put him as a BAF for Ringside exclusives!! If you buy all three Mattel exclusives in one year you'll get Magnum TA. Normally you buy four figures to get a BAF, right? Now you only need three. This would help offset the cost of the exclusives. I'd be all for that. The legal question becomes would this violate Ringside/Mattel's contract of "3 per year" if you're technically getting four figures.

I feel like smiting all the children who say they dont know who he is.
I wouold buy him yes. IMHO this is why mattel legends failed. Jakks gave us soo many names it was great. And then along came mattel with there versions of guys Jakks had already made. Which is ok I guess but how about wowing us? They didnt wow us with new names except for Ricky the dragon, and then right before they cancelled legends with Macho Man and two of the Von Erichs. I feel that had mattel started the legends with more names Jakks HAD NOT made then there would have been lots more interest in Mattel legends.
I know me personally refused to buy Mattel cause I already had all those guys and was really only excited with Ricky.
