I am staying at a vacation house my sister rented for two weeks and some of the beds are Tempur-Pedic. I have to say they are a great bed I didn't move around much at all on them. Does anyone own one on here?

I hear that they're amazingly comfortable. But I can't see myself spending $1,100-$5,000 for a mattress.

No they are too expensive. They are nice, but not worth the cost. I have a $200 memory foam topper for my king size bed, and it is just as good to me.

My best friend is very handicapped and he owns a Tempur-Pedic because it helps him be relaxed from the pain.
Truly, it is a glorious sleeping experience.

I want one so bad. Mainly because they say it never breaks down and you don't have to ever replace it. Can't bring myself to pay that kind of money.

I've had one for abiut 5 years now. Luckily I didn't pay for it, due to my dad and uncle being in the mattress business.
It took a little gettibg used to, but it is amazing.

Tempurpedic is price controlled so it's famous for never ever being on sale. They have a sale like once a year and they knock something like $10 off the price or something ridiculous. It's like a sale on Apple products. It's not worth it.

I actually was able to replace my old spring mattress with a Tempurpedic one just last week and i got it at a somewhat reasonable price from a friend who happens to be a manger at one of the Tempurpedic, I asked if it was possible to come down and take a look and he had no problem with it so I went to upstate Shandaken New York and got it from him for $700. If what I can tell you, it's incredibly conformable for the most part and I got the remote control one that you use to adjust the temperature of the mattress from warm to cold, it really is fantastic.

Are you sure you got a Tempurpedic? I can't find a single mattress on their website that has a remote that will adjust the temperature of the mattress. There are some foundations that will go up and down so you can elevate your head or your legs depending on your preference, but I haven't seen one that adjusts the temperature. The mattress is supposed to conform to your body based on your body temperature so changing the temperature of the mattress would defeat the purpose. I'm guessing you got a foam mattress, not a Tempurpedic.

Hmmmmmm.....Well I suppose it was seeing as though when I went into the store I didn't hesitant to take whatever mattress they had available inside. It might very well be a foam mattress but I'll check the tag just to make sure.

Not worth the money. I used to have one but they are a royal pain/impossible to clean. Not to mention that they emit a really odd smell for quite awhile.

I did buy a Tempurpedic pillow recently. It cost like $200 but man was it worth it. My only regret is that I didn't buy the queen size version instead of the standard version. I sleep like a log on that thing.
