]Ring of Honor was almost in the position of running their Best in the World PPV without having their booker, Hunter "Delirious" Johnston at the venue Friday. Johnston ended up in a car accident in the Times Square area in Manhattan en route to Terminal 5 and while no one was injured, his car was totaled. Johnston then spent hours waiting for police to clear him to leave and have a tow truck remove his car. Johnston tried to explain to them that he needed to leave because he was producing a national PPV broadcast, but this being NYC, it didn't push the police to rush along the process and he got to the venue really, really late in the game vs. when he would usually arrive.
Jay Lethal was beyond moved by his ROH championship win, calling it the best weekend of his life. The plan is for Lethal to continue to hold both the ROH and ROH TV championship.

No major injuries coming out of the weekend, although Nick Jackson banged up his ankle on Saturday. His hamstring injury that has been hampering him is finally improved. Moose and Michael Elgin were both limping slightly after the TV taping Saturday.

The Samoa Joe farewell will likely be released as a DVD exclusive down the line. Joe gave a hell of a speech.

The PPV on Friday was sold out in advance. The TV taping looked to be about 3/4ths full. ROH will return to NYC the night before Summerslam with Field of Honor in Brooklyn, NY.

Early Ring of Honor standouts Deranged and Azrieal from Special K were at the PPV on Friday. Deranged had left the business years ago to tour in the hip hop world and is starting to take booking again.

Former WWE Creative Team member Kevin Eck was at the TV Taping on Saturday.

BJ Whitmer received so much heat on Saturday from the crowd while trying to do an in-ring promo that the segment will have to be edited to fit into the planned TV time. Production was going nuts trying to get him to cut the promo but Whitmer played off the crowd, who were so loud, they were pretty much drowning out his mic work. It's pretty obvious they are booking to Whitmer vs. Steve Corino down the line but I think that's a long, long term thing as opposed to a match you'll see in say, July.

ROH is very happy about having the New Japan talents for the August double shot in Philadelphia and Brooklyn. The two sides are very much going to be working in concert with each other as much as possible in the future.

Anthony Greene, who recently worked the NECW Iron 8, was backstage over the weekend.

The next PPV will likely be Final Battle.

If you haven't seen Dalton Castle yet, you should make it a point. He's a great addition to the roster.
