Before you all start THIS IS NOT ANOTHER SILLY HAIR THREAD but it's a question about long haired wrestlers because they have always been a part of pro wrestling.
During the 80's, 90's and 00's WWE was full of long haired wrestlers but I've noticed on the roster lately that long haired wrestlers are few and far between and with HHH shaving his head I have to ask is the era of long haired wrestlers over?

No, yeah, this is another silly hair thread.
People get haircuts, some wrestlers will always have short hair, and some will have long hair. Simple as that.

Bret, and Shawn. And Adam Cole. And Jeff FREAKING HARDY. Kinda a big one there... And James Storm. And Kofi Kingston (Just cause he's black doesn't mean he doesn't count.) Billy Gunn and X-Pac never cut their hair. Kane's return with long hair. Mark Henry's hair is still long.

Yes! Short hair is most definitely the trend today in WWE. The same can be said with the wrestlers wearing trunks instead of tights.

It's because all the young wrestlers want to be pretty boys that wrestle half naked to show off their bodies.
As for Triple H, he is slowly getting ready to be the next Mr McMahon and soon the beard and the triple H name will go aswell.

I think it's more just that long hair isn't trendy at the moment. In the 80's and 90's, long hair was much more popular in general; metalheads, yuppies, grunge etc. Nowadays it's pretty much social suicide to wear a ponytail, and very few dudes pull off the long hair look. I get what you mean though.

I guess that is because of fashion?
Like as Mullet is fashion in 1970's.

I miss this Aries ....that is just terrible. He was in the middle of a feud with an Emo - Who had gotten inside his head. A couple week's after this he snapped and started doing weird things like eaten other peoples gum. Then he shaved his head down to the length it is now. Still, this Aries was what I can only describe as 'God Mode'.

I also think it has to do with people in general just not having long hair anymore. More conservative haircuts and clothing is pretty standard compared to 10-15 years ago. I think wrestlers having shorter hair and wearing trunks is a throw back right now.
