I was at wrestling practice the entire time this went down. I checked facebook and saw two statuses about Lawler and one said "is this a work or is it real" so I exited to avoid potential spoilers. I became uneasy when I came home and started watching because I started catching on so to what was happening during the Tag match. I'm very dissapointed however, that: A.) The 'incredible' WWE app WWE pushes didn't cover this in their "Breaking News" section, B.) WWE didn't send out a Breaking News SMS. They can inform me what the stupid Raw Main Event will be, but they cant update me that there's a very serious story developing, and someones life was a risk? There have been dozens of tweets by wee and its wrestlers and its front page of wwe's website.

This goes beyond sports entertainment...as someone who's lost far too many people in his family far too soon to heart conditions, I hope he pulls through this.

It was so strange. During the Match where he passed out, you could suddenly hear this really heavy breathing on his Mic for about 5-10 seconds. King stopped commentating, and in the background you could see him leaning forward with Cole looking at him. Very surreal, fingers crossed he pulls through it.

This was crazy last night. I was incredibly worried when Cole first mentioned Lawler's situation, but things got slightly more optimistic as the night went on with the updates. Still very scary, though. My thoughts are with Lawler and I hope he pulls through. I think they caught the heart attack early enough for him to make a full recovery though.
On a side note, I'm with many people in saying that the lack of commentary made everything a lot more uncomfortable.

I just saw a news story from a while back, a man in Oregon had a heart attack in his office. He was "dead" for 20 minutes also but made a full recovery due to the response time of the paramedics. Let's hope Jerry is just as fortunate.

nodq.com had this posted
- Former WWE Superstar Chris Jericho commented on Lawler via Twitter:
"Best wishes and prayers to @jerrylawler one of my favorite people in the WWE. King has been a champion for 40 yrs and he’ll beat this too!"
- Dave Meltzer and Bryan Alvarez of F4Wonline.com are reporting the following details on Lawler early Tuesday morning:
* Lawler wrestled both Friday and Saturday nights in Aruba before heading back to the States and flying to Montreal for RAW yesterday. People with Lawler over the weekend said he had no signs of health problems
* Lawler, still listed in stable condition, had either some kind of heart surgery or a Cardiac catheterization, reports are conflicting. Cardiac catheterization is where a catheter is inserted into a chamber in the heart for investigational and interventional purposes
* There was some concern about blood being cut off to Lawler's brain and potential damage from that
* While Lawler's condition is stable, it's described as still a very serious situation
* Vince McMahon was said to be right by Lawler's side through the entire ordeal
Say what you will about Vince and the way he is as a boss, but that is something big, for him to be at King's side through that.

Anyone else find it a very creepy and unfortunate coincidence that the same night Bret returns, someone has a heart attack? Hopefully King pulls through!

Good job Vince Yeah, he gets a bad rap, and yeah, some times he might be a sob when it comes to interaction with talent, but the guy still has a heart, and still cares.

If the worse were to happen, at least Jerry would go out the way he would want to. In the buisness he has loved since he was a teenager. He has done more than people really know in the wrestling buisness. I hope he pulls through and I hope he takes a nice long vacation after this. No need to come back too quick. Come back for that nice Wrestlemania pop!

Even though his commentary skills have dropped off for the past several years but still I hope that Lawler pulls through.

Smith Hart, one of Bret Hart's brothers, claimed on Twitter Monday night that Jerry Lawler was "clinically dead" for about 20 minutes after he collapsed during Raw before he was revived. This has yet to be confirmed by WWE. Smith relayed the news from independent wrestler Jeremy Prophet backstage at Raw.
Smith's tweet reads: "According to my friend Jeremy Prophet who was backstage at RAW, Jerry was clinically dead for 20 min before being brought back by defibrilat(or)." Following Raw, it was confirmed that Lawler, who is currently recovering in a Montreal hospital, suffered a heart attack.

Now would they have continued anywhere near 20 minutes of him being dead, trying to bring him back? I would think that they would just declare him dead, long before 20 minutes. Depends on if there was a doctor there or just EMT's. I'm not sure about elsewhere, but in Canada only a doctor can declare someone dead. Once CPR is started you cannot legally stop until a doctor arrives and declared the person dead.

This is my 1st ever post, but I can't believe this. I haven't watched wrestling in since the deaths of Eddie Guerrero & Chris Benoit and the rise of John Cena, but this news saddens me. I just found out when I opened up MSN.com and it was on the main page about Jerry Lawler. That picture up there with Michael Cole all by himself is so depressing. I really hope he pulls through. To me, he has the best wit of any commentator and I hope he isn't kept silenced. Please recover.

Hadn't even watched RAW and my brother said he'd read on several UK news sites that Lawler had suffered a heart attack. Couldn't believe it.
Hope he's okay!
