Sorry to hear. Always hard to lose a grandparent, especially when you were close. Lost both my grandfather's when I was real young, but lost my last grandmother, almost two years ago, this December. I get what you're talking about, not wanting to see him in pain. The last time I saw my grandmother, was the Thanksgiving before she died, and she was fine. After that, she was in the hospital, and I couldn't bring myself to visit, because she wasn't herself, and I wanted my last memory of her, as I always remembered her. The numb feeling is normal, but trust me, at one point it will really hit you and hit you hard. its hit me, i typed that about an hour ago on FB i havnt stopped crying. im at college inmy dorm,my makeup is screwed up and i dont give a  . My grandpa died in 1997 when I was 12 rough times sorry for your loss... Kind of confused are you a woman? Said your makeup was screwed up. |

My condolences to you and your family, I was lucky to have all grandparents for the first 10 years of my life, but three have passed in the passed in the past five years, at least he's no longer in pain and in a better place.

thanks guys, im in good shape now. i think i got most of it out of my system the other day. but of course im still sad. but not crying or anything

I had three of them, two by blood, one by marriage,... they are all gone now, the third passed in 2009... so I know how you feel. All you can do is keep them in memory and they will always live on. my condolences.
